Originally released in June of 1996, Beck’s second major label album, Odelay, was his chance to prove that he was no one-hit wonder. His major label debut, Mellow Gold, had produced the hit single “Loser,” but there was a sense he hadn’t quite won over everyone and it was hard to tell exactly who Beck was. Was he joking? Was he serious? Was he simply some sort of beat-poet novelty act? With Odelay, he enlisted the Dust Brothers, most famous at this point for being behind the boards for the Beastie Boys’ 1989 sonic-collage opus Paul’s Boutique. Together they crafted a classic. In honor of it's 10th Anniversary it is now being released in this incredible Deluxe Edition 180g 4LP Box Set which includes a 24 page booklet! An absolute must have for any Beck fan!

Beck's forthcoming new album and 10th overall, Modern Guilt was co-produced by the always-in-demand Danger Mouse and it's full of off-kilter rhythms and left-field breakdowns, with an overall 1960s British vibe and vocals that float over the music as if Beck is singing in the next room. The 10-tune set, roughly 30 minutes in length features the epic, "Chemtrails," a genre-bending tour de force that showcases Beck and Danger Mouse's shared affection for late '60s psych-pop as well as a guest appearance by Cat Power on "Walls." As is always the case with a new Beck record, he keeps things musically interesting and fresh while constantly challenging any and all categorization.

This Deluxe Edition of Beck's The Information is the first time the release has appeared on the vinyl format. The set includes four 12" LPs pressed on 180g virgin vinyl and one 10" LP pressed on 140g virgin vinyl. Also included are 10 sticker sheets which have been re-sized exclusively for this release, a 24-color fine art pen set and a 12 page vinyl size booklet containing original artwork. The set comes housed in a beautifully hand-crafted clamshell box, which is individually numbered. Limited to a maximum of 3,000 units.

This 15th Anniversary Expanded Edition of Beck's One Foot In The Grave features the original album remastered, plus 16 bonus tracks including 13 previously unreleased recordings. Also includes songs from the "It's All In Your Mind" single.

Recorded before Mellow Gold, One Foot In The Grave showcases Beck as a postmodern folkie, and the results are revelatory. Stripped of the intoxicating production that dominated Mellow Gold, Beck’s songs prove to be wonderful, vibrant tunes, teeming with emotion, haunting wordplay, and simple, memorable melodies. It’s alternately haunting and jubilant, and Calvin Johnson’s occasional harmonies lend the record an intimate warmth. It’s a gentle record, and its collection of small gems are every bit as impressive as the songs on Mellow Gold or its 1996 follow-up, Odelay.

Beck’s Sea Change remains the best record of the indie icon’s career. And how.
