“Music Hall MMF-5 Turntable: So Good it’s laughable! The MMF-5 is a ‘plug and play’ design you can have up and running in 10 minutes. The MMF-5 will make an analog believer out of the most doctrinaire digital fanatic. It’s a gateway drug into the intoxicating world of analog playback. Get hooked… you’ll never go back!” - Michael Fremer, Stereophile, Analog Corner

The Music Hall mmf-5.3 special edition turntable is a 2-speed belt driven audiophile turntable employing the unique dual-plinth construction originated by Music Hall.

The distinctive design isolates the critical sound reproducing components: platter, main bearing, tonearm, and cartridge on the top platform from the motor, switch, wiring, and feet which are mounted on the bottom platform. Sorbothane hemispheres separate the two platforms and provide suspension and vibration damping.

The mmf-5.3se comes complete with an Ortofon 2M Bronze cartridge.

Features:
Music Hall’s unique dual-plinth construction
Gorgeous and classic-looking rosenut real wood veneer finish
Sorbothane isolation orbs
Top tier 9” carbon fiber tonearm with flexible internal wire drawn from high purity copper
Counterweight’s center of gravity is level with the stylus tip, is decoupled from the arm, and acts as a resonance damper
DC synchronous motor for superior speed stability, separately isolated on the lower platform
Two-speed stepped motor pulley for 33⅓ and 45 rpm
Ortofon 2M Bronze cartridge with replaceable nude fine line diamond stylus ($440 value)
The cartridge supplied is properly aligned and mounted

Highly recommended

Sound sound sound! MMF special edition is purely designed to get maximum quality sound per dollar. Very quiet and the matched Ortofon cart lends to overall natural clarity and greater soundstage without artificial coloration. Highly recommended.

Wonderful

A little skeptical about this table at first, but am amazed how the sound just seemed to bloom at about 40-50 hours of play. With about 60hrs on it now this thing has a sound that's hard to put into words. I guess warm, and layered, would be a nice start. It has an incredible presence, about it's sound. Like the artist is in the room with you. It seems to layer the sound in a kind of fabric that makes the listener a part of the music. To me worth every penny. But do be sure to check the factory setup. I had to adjust the VTA on mine, then wow,, it sounds absolutely alive. CDs don't even come close, and I have a pretty high end CD player.

THE REAL DEAL!

I got into analog about four years ago I thought I had a decent TT. Its was a restored vintage Marantz with a grado silver cart. It sounded to me very good sometimes great; but what I found out was that I was in the bush leagues.THE SOUND COMING FROM THIS MUSIC HALL 5.1 SE TT IS ABSOLUTLEY PHENOMENAL! Everything about it is just right pacing; warmth; huge soundstage. This MOJO cart got my modest system's MOJO working hard. THE SOUND coming from my system (Denon ;Edwards AUDIO PHONOSTAGE ; POLK RTI 55')is down right holographic . Its also very easy on the eyes it's down right gorgeous.I' ll tell you what else is phenomenal and thats the outstanding service from soundstage direct. Its an absolute pleasure to deal with Seth ;Karen ; Anna ;Jessica. They allways treat you with the up most respect as a customer and they will go out of their way to take care of you. They have my business; they have for many years and will continue to do so and they should have yours as well. I don't
