This unique package concentrates on the early 70s, and is built around the iconic, award-winning original soundtrack to Across 110th Street (1972), the critically-acclaimed - albeit violent, bloodthirsty and deeply disturbing - Blaxploitation movie which starred Anthony Quinn, Yaphet Kotto and Anthony Franciosa. Perhaps Womack’s most celebrated album, this compelling OST remains the most important soundtrack of the genre, the powerful title song later featuring heavily in both Quentin Tarantino’s 1997 homage to Blaxploitation, Jackie Brown, and Ridley Scott’s 2007 opus, American Gangster.

Womack has enjoyed a long, rich career and still retains a strong cult status in the UK and Europe. He continues to record and tour sporadically and after battling ill-health in recent years, a new album is scheduled for release in June. The album is co-produced by Damon Albarn and Richard Russell, who also produced Gil Scott Heron's acclaimed final album.

"The World" was what US GIs in Vietnam called America, and acclimating back into the world could be a harrowing experience. Curtis Mayfield addresses this problem in the title track to his 1973 album, Back to the World. The album also included his minor hit “Future Shock” (which was remade by Herbie Hancock in 1983 for the album of the same title) and his emotional appeal, “If I Were Only a Child Again.” It took the #1 position on the R&B Albums chart and broke into the Top 20 on the Pop Albums chart.

Can't Get Enough is the self-produced third album by American R&B singer Barry White, released in 1974 on the 20th Century label.

The album topped the R&B albums chart, his third to do so. It also topped the Billboard 200 and peaked at #4 on the UK Albums Chart. The album was a success, yielding two Billboard R&B number-one singles, "Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Babe" and "You're the First, the Last, My Everything". Both were also successful on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #1 and #2 respectively. Both singles were also hits on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at #8 and #1 respectively.
