WolfmotherConsidering the 60s psychedelic heavy metal sound which Wolfmother gained fame with in 2006 with their debut album Wolfmother, they could be called a band out of time. Andrew Stockdale, Chris Ross and Myles Heskett formed the band in 2000 and in 2004 they recorded a four-track demo so they could book shows. From then on the band shifted into a higher gear: a jump to the majors, the release of their eponymous self-titled debut album and a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2007.
Music On Vinyl has given this release the special MOV-treatment resulting in a beautiful gatefold sleeve containing two 180-grams audiophile LPs. First 1,000 copies will be numbered and limited so be quick! With this mind-blowing rock album your stereo doesnt need to go to eleven to get that extra push.LP1

Fifth DimensionThe Byrds were one of the earliest groups who could combine the best of two worlds. They caught on to the energy of the British Invasion and combined it with the lyricism & musical elements of the contemporary folk movement.
Along the way they pioneered Psychedelic and Country Rock, always keeping things recognizable with their vocal harmonies accompanied by their jangly guitars.
On their third album 'Fifth Dimension' from 1966 they started showing a more LSD-tinged side of themselves with the Psychedelic Rock of songs such as 'Eight Miles High' and 'I See You' and a preference for the Indian raga.
One of their most pioneering albums!1 5 D (Fifth Dimension)

ThirdSoft Machine released their third album, surprisingly called 'Third' in 1970. It is a double album with each side of the vinyl consisting of a single long composition.
Its music explores the emerging jazz fusion of the type present on Miles Davis' 'Bitches Brew', which was released just a few months earlier. 'Third' marks the most major of Soft Machine's several shifts in musical genre over their career, completing their transition from psychedelic music to jazz.
"Third" is a significant milestone of the Canterbury scene, featuring interplay between the band's personnel: Mike Ratledge on keyboards, Robert Wyatt on drums, Hugh Hopper on bass and newest member Elton Dean on saxophone.1. Facelift (Live) (18:45)

xAlexander Skip Spence
OarThe Canadian-born Alexander 'Skip' Spence was the co-founder of Moby Grape, and played guitar with them until 1969. In the same year he released his only solo album: 'Oar'.
The album was recorded after Spence had spent six months in a mental institution following a delusion-driven attempt to attack his Moby Grape band mates with a fire axe, after having ingested LSD. As the urban myth goes, on the day of his release he drove a motorcycle, dressed in only his pajamas, directly to Nashville to record his only solo album. Fact is that he recorded this album in seven days, playing all the instruments himself and that the end result is now considered to be a classic psychedelic folk album.
After this album Spence largely withdrew from the music industry.1. Little Hands

LoveLove was a seminal psychedelic folk rock band from Los Angeles, active from 1966 until the mid seventies. Their eponymous debut album contained a diverse set of wonderful tunes, most of which were penned by Love's mastermind Arthur Lee. Especially the songs "My Little Red Book," "Mushroom Clouds" and "Signed D.C." are outstanding tracks. It proved to be a stepping stone to the equally excellent follow up albums Da Capo and Forever Changes (both in 1967). However the band never gained mainstream popularity like their peers The Byrds, Love's music remains a gem of the wild sixties which will prove to resonate with music lovers for decades to come.1. Surrealistic Pillow (Out Of Stock)
Ranked 146/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
Surrealistic Pillow, as the name implies, is one soft ridden, slightly mad piece of psychedelic San Francisco folk rock. From its percussive intro of "She Has Funny Cars" to the thumping mystique of "Plastic Fantastic Lover", this album's one heaven of a trip!
Jefferson Airplane truly hit the mark with this seminal album from 1967. Highlights that should not be overlooked are "Somebody To Love", "White Rabbit" and "Today".1. She Has Funny Cars
