How Dare YouImport
How Dare You (1976) is the fourth album by these British Art-Pop Rockers. Its brilliant cover art was designed by the recently deceased Storm Thorgersson of Hipgnosis. After attaining worldwide success with their hit "I'm Not In Love", 10cc returned with a varied set of songs, often tongue-in-cheek humor and eccentric songwriting. Hits "I'm Mandy, Fly Me" and "Art For Art's Sake" are little stories with wonderful poppy hooks and catchy choruses. This is 10cc at their creative peak!1. How Dare You

Many bands expend so much imagination and energy on their first album that the limits to their talents become all too apparent when it comes to fashioning a follow-up. Not 10CC, whose June 1974 release 'Sheet Music' put them on the musical map with a vengeance. Like its predecessor, '10CC', it contained a selection of snappy singles, including
the top ten hit 'Wall Street Shuffle'. If you ask any fan today to nominate a favourite track or album that sums up the 10CC phenomenon, their answer will simply be: 'Listen to "Sheet Music"...'1. The Wall Street Shuffle

In 1972 few groups could have had their single nominated as Tony Blackburn's hit-pick while simultaneously being championed by underground DJ John Peel, Manchester pop quartet 10CC did just that. 10CC's music has always been able to be taken on a number of levels, and even though this was the glam era they felt a greater affinity with Americans Steely Dan. Their clever lyrics certainly put them in the Becker-Fagen bracket. The highlights of this long-player are still very much present and correct, so enjoy a return to those glorious vinyl days...1. The Embers Of TimeA talent to outrank Ryan Adams or Conor Oberst - Uncut
He's found a way to encapsulate all the dichotomies of life and make them work within the confines of a three-minute pop song. - Popmatters
"It's my surreal expat therapy record," observes Josh Rouse about his new LP, The Embers of Time. A career peak, The Embers of Time takes inspiration from his self-admitted crisis of confidence and bouts with existential psychotherapy in his adopted home of Valencia, Spain.
The 10-song collection of originals contains some of Rouse's most beautiful arrangements and complex songwriting to date. First song and lead single "Some Days I'm Golden All Night" channels Glen Campbell-style Countrypolitan pop mastery through 'Self Portrait'-era Dylan confessional lyrics.
Rouse has been called "one of contemporary music's most engaging singer-songwriters" (NPR) as well as "a talent to outrank Ryan Adams or Conor Oberst" (Uncut), and with The Embers of Time he opens a new chapter in his lauded career. He split time recording the album between Valencia and Nashville, and enlisted Brad Jones (Justin Townes Earle) as producer. The record moves from the hushed twang of "Time," where Josh recalls a stepfather who died too young and muses about his own mortality, to the deceptively sunny album closer "Crystal Falls," which recounts a rare period of solace from his itinerant childhood. "In Crystal Falls I made a few good friends," he sings. "It was just another stop. I never saw them again."
Originally hailing from rural Nebraska, Rouse has carved out a distinguished career as a top-tier musician. His last record, 'The Happiness Waltz' earned unanimous praise, with AllMusic calling it "absolutely beautiful, like 10cc producing Al Green."1. Some Days I'm Golden All Night

Pro-Ject Xtension 10 Evolution Turntable
Have a question about this product? Please email our audio advisor or call 1-877-929-8729 with any questions or concerns regarding your equipment purchase.
The little brother of Xtension guarantees superlative vinyl performance in a more compact size!
Xtension 10 Evolution is ideal for all, who look for sound quality of standard Xtension in a more compact size below 48cm width, to fit standard audio racks. It incorporates all of our 20 years experience in turntable design. Xtension 10 chassis is made from MDF filled with metal sand, that gives high mass and is non-resonant. Magnetic feet, which decouple the main plinth from its base, are combined with a weighty 22kg total turntable mass. The result is a unique combination of 'mass loaded' and 'floating turntable' design principles.
Instead of the old standard adoption of pure metal used for the main platter, we've found a perfect alloy which we damped on the inner side with Sorbothane®. Additionally we've glued recycled Vinyl records to the top (which act as a perfect mat) and bake this 'sandwich' before precision balancing it. The final product subsequently benefits from a wonderfully resonance-free, heavy platter, that runs ultrasilently on an inverted ceramic ball bearing with magnetic suspension.
The Pro-Ject 10cc Evolution with its tonearm base also benefits from 'high-mass' technologies, and is isolated from the main board by a sheet of Sorbothane®. To use this tonearm with a wide range of top quality phono cartridges, from 4 to 14g. it comes with a set of 4 different Sorbothane®- damped counterweights. Xtension 10 Evolution comes with a beautiful dustcover with adjustable hinges, as well as in high gloss lacquer finishes: mahogany, piano and olive.

Unattended Luggage (Pre-Order)Nick Mason is one of the biggest selling artists of all time. A co-founding member of Pink Floyd, he is the only constant member of the group, performing on all of their albums as well as all of their live shows. In May of this year, Nick debuted his new band Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets with four intimate shows in London (Camden Dingwalls 20 May and The Half Moon in Putney 21, 23 and 24 May) to an incredible reception.
Unattended Luggage is a further celebration of Nick Mason and his undeniably significant contribution to music. The set contains;
'Fictitious Sports' - Nick's debut solo album which was originally released in 1981 and saw him collaborate with a variety of different musicians including Robert Wyatt and Carla Bley.
'Profiles' - A collaboration with 10cc guitarist Rick Fenn, it was Nick's second album outside of Pink Floyd and was released in 1985 as 'Mason + Fenn'. This is a mainly instrumental album except for tracks 'Lie for a Lie', which features vocals from Maggie Reilly and former bandmate David Gilmour and 'Israel', sung by UFO keyboardist Danny Peyronel.
'White of the Eye' - A soundtrack for a British thriller movie of the same name, Nick once again collaborated with Rick Fenn. Originally released in 1987, in conjunction with the film's release, this is the first time the record has been made available for over 20 years, and the first time it will appear on CD.
Nick Mason says, These recordings hold a very special place for me in my musical life. 'Fictitious Sports' developed initially from working with Mike Mantler, Carla Bley and Robert Wyatt on a couple of their projects, and benefited enormously from a whole crew of great musicians that I was introduced to by them at Grog Kill Studios in Woodstock.
"'Profiles' and 'White of the Eye' were an extension of working with Rick Fenn on some advertising and short documentary film soundtracks, which then developed into something more.Nick Mason's Fictitious Sports

O+SThe collaboration between Orenda Fink (Azure Ray, Art In Manila) and Scalpelist (a.k.a. Cedric LeMoyne of Remy Zero) has yielded a beautifully haunting collection, influenced by David Lynch soundtracks, 10cc, and 4AD records. It's a balance of light and dark; a melodious reverie that thrusts forward with drum loops, shifts from acoustic guitar and angelic coos to plodding piano and tinkling bells, and floats with celestial vocals. The production prowess of Michael Patterson (Beck, Notorious B.I.G., Ladytron) helped stitch the jagged collage into a seamless artistic composition.1.New Life
