    Regulate...G Funk Era (20th Anniversary)

Grammy®-nominated hip-hop pioneer Warren G is a Long Beach rapper who formed the legendary group 213 (named after the city's area code) with Nate Dogg and Snoop Dogg, who went on to collaborate with step-brother Dr. Dre on The Chronic (providing the samples for "Nuthin' But a G-Thang")
and contribute the track "Indo Smoke" with Mista Grimm and Nate Dogg on the Poetic Justice soundtrack. After a lively bidding war, Warren signed to Def Jam, which released his debut album, Regulate G Funk Era in 1994, with the title track climbing to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. In celebration of Def Jam's 30th Anniversary UMe will be releasing a "20th Anniversary Extended Edition" - The double-vinyl version features the album along with a bonus 12" (with the Destructo/Wax Motif and Photek remixes).

Remastered From The Original Source Tapes

On the night of February 13, 1997 Alex Chilton and his band were getting ready to play their second set of the night at the Knitting Factory in New York City when the lights went out. What happened was this album, a spontaneous off the cuff performance by Alex on a borrowed acoustic guitar with his drummer Richard Dworkin sitting in for half the set. Fortunately Jeffrey Vargon was there with his tape deck and microphone.

This is Alex Chilton thinking on his feet, totally in the moment, bouncing songs and ideas off the folks that stuck around for a real one-of-a-kind exchange. This is as close and personal as it gets--anyone who ever saw Alex over the years will recognize the artist who always did it his way in this simple recording--- a surprising amount of country music, some beloved Beach Boys and a few he probably played for the first time that night.

Much of the material will be new to even hard core fans.

Live At The Village Vanguard Again!

Live At The Village Vanguard Again! is a jazz album by saxophonist John Coltrane. Recorded in May 1966, the album shows Coltrane playing in the free jazz style that characterized his final recordings.

Out of all the recordings made during the session, only three pieces remain: Naima, originally from the album Giant Steps, My Favorite Things, from the album of the same name, and a bass solo by Jimmy Garrison entitled, Introduction to My Favorite Things. The line up consists of the augmented quartet of the time, featuring Alice Coltrane on piano, Jimmy Garrison on bass and Rashied Ali on drums. Additionally, Pharoah Sanders contributes on flute and tenor saxophone, while Emanuel Rahim plays percussion.

This is a series of instrumental albums designed for possible use in film and TV, for home or office background sounds, or for personal needs, such as relaxation, stimulation, meditation, concentration, or elation. Asthmatic Kitty asked a select group of talented artists to create a unique recording for this collection. Law Of The Least Effort is the name under which Casey Foubert records his instrumental compositions. An homage to 60s and 70s session bands like The Meters, Booker T. Songs For A Friend

Thought to have been recorded between her stint with Rockford, Illinois, psych-rock outfit Pisces and her lone 45 on the Vincent label, Songs For A Friend is the last known recordings by Linda Bruner. Tracked in one continuous session in the back of NielsonÆs Music Store, Bruner drags herself through five doleful reinterpretations (DonÆt Let Me Down, Thorn Tree In The Garden, Georgia On My Mind, Wichita Lineman, Rainy Night In Georgia) and one original. To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the founding of Weather Report, the Zawinul estate is proud to release this live document of the supergroups appearance at the 1975 Jazztage Berlin, one of the oldest and most prestigious jazz festivals in Europe. This is the first time that this historic performance has been made available commercially

From the opening strains of Wayne Shorters propulsive Freezing Fire to Joe Zawinuls exotic Badia (a template for the world music movement that would come over a decade later), Live in Berlin, 1975 crackles with an audacious spirit of discovery and daring, underscored by an uncanny sense of group-thinking that allowed the band to be truly in the moment from tune to tune, from bar to bar.

    Nuthin' Fancy

Mastered by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio

200-gram vinyl pressing by Quality Record Pressings!

    Deluxe gatefold jacket

The title may say Nuthin' Fancy but don't be deceived! This 200-gram stunner pressed at Quality Record Pressings is nearly peerless as a Southern rock record. Expertly remastered by Kevin Gray, lacquer plating by master technician Gary Salstrom, heavy cardboard gatefold jacket with vibrantly reproduced original artwork. How does it get any better? As the Ultimate-Guitar.com put it: Most hard rock bands would give their left arm for a record that swaggers and hits as hard as Nuthin' Fancy.

Second Helping brought Lynyrd Skynyrd mass success and for the follow-up they offered Nuthin' Fancy. It was a self-deprecating title for a record that may have offered more of the same, at least on the surface, but was still nearly peerless as a Southern rock record. The biggest difference with this record is that the band, through touring, has become heavier and harder, fitting right in with the heavy album rock bands of the mid-'70s. The second notable difference is that Ronnie Van Zant may have been pressed for material, since there are several songs here that are just good generic rockers. But he and Skynyrd prove that what makes a great band great is how they treat generic material, and Skynyrd makes the whole of Nuthin' Fancy feel every bit as convincing as their first two records.

Genius Loves Company (10th Anniversary) (Awaiting Repress)

Upon its release in 2004, few could have predicted the extraordinary, game-changing effect that Ray Charles' final recording would have on both his career and the industry as a whole. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the legend's milestone recording, Concord/Hear Music will release a special 2LP, 45RPM, 180-gram Vinyl Edition.

One of Charles' most inspirational and historically significant albums, Genius Loves Company captures the genius of the music icon in his last studio recording pairing him with legendary guest artists including Norah Jones, Diana Krall, James Taylor, Elton John, Willie Nelson and Bonnie Raitt to name a few. The album went on to receive an astounding 8 GRAMMY® Awards, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year. To help launch a then-groundbreaking consumer marketing campaign, Genius Loves Company was tapped as the first original release through the Starbucks Hear Music imprint in conjunction with Concord Music Group. Since its release on August 31st, 2004, Genius Loves Company has been certified multi-platinum with worldwide sales in excess of 5 million copies.

Produced by John Burk, Concord Music Group's chief creative officer, and co-produced by the legendary Phil Ramone, Genius Loves Company garnered critical acclaim upon its release. NPR All Things Considered hailed, "It's got flashes of fire you wouldn't expect from such a setting, gems of phrasing that remind you how Ray Charles transformed the wreckage of heartbreak into poignant sound," and Rolling Stone added, "the tone is reverential and warm, as the Genius sings "

"Ray was shocked that these people wanted to sing with him," recalls Ray Charles Foundation president Valerie Ervin. "He just didn't understand the magnitude of where he was in the industry. As weak as he became he made sure he gave his best for every artist that was there for him."

"Ray Charles was one of those rare artists who, throughout his incredible career, had far-reaching impact that forever changed the conventions of popular music as well as the music business," said Concord Music Group chief creative officer John Burk. "Looking back at the last 10 years, it's clear that this album was certainly no exception. We are humbled, honored and blessed to have had the opportunity to work with such a musical giant, and we are eternally grateful to Ray for elevating both Concord Records and Hear Music to new heights, far beyond our wildest dreams ten years ago."

    What For?

Opening to the scream of F1's speeding around a racetrack,
and maintaining that intensity with booming guitar riffs and
psychedelic effects throughout, the forthcoming album from
Toro Y Moi is definitely making a statement. Or maybe a few
statements. But Chaz Bundick, the frontman and songwriter,
is leaving it up to you to figure out what they are. While it is
obvious that each song is crafted around a personally meaningful
experience, Chaz seems to purposefully leave the lyrics
just vague enough to let each listener mold it into something
unique. Chaz presents you with a few themes: love, beauty,
nature; and gently lets go of your hand so you can wander off
    on your own.

A feeling of searching for something threads its way through
every song on the album, which is aptly named What For? It
feels contradictory in a very human way, like Chaz is swinging
between waiting for something and not being able to wait
anymore. But the swinging isn't panicked or frustrated, it's just
a situation that he's reflecting on. The songs are heavy with
nostalgia, too, for simpler times, better music, more fulfilling
relationships. Chaz references Weezer to warn you that "there
is no one to destroy your sweater" and, in another song, recalls
Big Star to declare that "rock and roll is here to stay." It feels
like he misses everything (even things he wasn't around for
yet), but is somehow excited for what comes next.

What For? is a glimpse into the life of a guy trying to figure out
what it all means. The music is influenced by bands like Big
Star, Talking Heads, Tim Maia, Todd Rundgren, but it doesn't
quite sound like any of them in particular. And it isn't trying to.
It has that special something that Chaz imbues in every Toro Y
Moi album, his personal filter on the world he experiences. So
whatever message you take from the album, don't forget that
it's good. As Chaz himself so candidly believes, "Good is good.
    Good finds its own audience."

    Heavy Love

Ultra Clear W/ Sea Blue/Red Splatter

Every now and then, a band is able to find that rare connection that allows them to truly speak to the hearts of kids everywhere, becoming the voice of their generation. Man Overboard is that band of the pop-punk community. These days, the number of bands becoming overnight Internet sensations is soaring. In an age where bands are having immediate major label success through corporate radio and MTV, Man Overboard has managed to create a name for themselves the old-fashioned way, winning kids over through word of mouth
and non-stop touring. They are a true testament to working hard in order to achieve your goals.

Man Overboard are constantly pushing themselves to do more, and this work ethic is apparent in all that they have accomplished as a band. They have spent the past 7 years touring
the world, sharing the stage with the likes of Taking Back Sunday, Bayside, New Found Glory, The Wonder Years and more. For their latest full-length, "Heavy Love," Man Overboard
enlisted the help of legendary punk producer, Bill Stevenson (Rise Against, Descendents, A Day To Remember). Together, they have crafted 12 songs that are undoubtedly the
band's strongest and most exciting material to date. "Heavy Love" is destined to become the most recognizable album in the band's catalog. To promote this release, the band will be
performing on the Vans Warped Tour's main stage all summer long. This is an exciting time for Man Overboard. When it seems as though they're on top of the world, they continue to play every show like their last and treat every fan like their first.

Teen Suicide's new album, It's the Big Joyous Celebration, Let's Stir the Honeypot is also, according to the band, their final record. Recorded over fourteen months with a Robert Altman-sized group of collaborators and performers, it's both a skeleton key for the band's earlier work & a great corrective addition to it. Updating rather than refuting all of the past themes and styles of their revered first LP "i will be my own hell because there is a devil inside my body" and numerous EPs, Big Joyous Celebration shifts between punk, noise, country, house & a myriad of other electric dance genres to create something as messy, sprawling, and captivating as its mouthful of a title. Spread over twenty six tracks, there is plenty that Teen Suicide's swansong has to say for itself in the band's distinct, captivating, and refreshingly enjoyable voice.

    The Womack Live

In 1970 Womack and manager Ed Wright decided to capitalize on his new-found solo visibility by capturing an in-person performance at a Los Angeles nightclub. The Womack Live was the result, a compelling, cathartic session where, as the original liner notes attest, Womack held church, agonizing, pleading, exhorting and testifying to a crowd fully in rapture to him. As well as extended jams on album material like 'How I Miss You Baby,' the playlist featured killer versions of 'Something' and 'Everybody's Talkin'' and some outrageous stage patter. All in all, it's an incredible recital capturing Bobby Womack in his prime, and even comes with an uncredited appearance from Percy Mayfield.

Max's Kansas City 1976: Extended Version

40th Anniversary Issue Of The Pioneering Punk Club 'Max's 1976' Comp, Plus Bonus Max's Album And The Background Story

In 1976 the New York City club 'Max's Kansas City' entered a new musical phase, with the underground movement that became PuNk developing within its walls. Resident DJ Wayne County wrote a song for the club cataloguing the new bands that regularly played there: New York Dolls, Patti Smith, The Ramones, Television, Blondie, Iggy Pop, the Heartbreakers and many more. The single was issued as a taster for the 40th anniversary of 'Max's Kansas City 1976' compilation album, now due for a much-extended reissuedon double-vinyl.

Alongside Wayne County it features Suicide, Cherry Vanilla, The Fast, Harry Toledo and more; now expanded with 20 more unsung underground heroes including The Offs, The Senders and The Stilettos, plus the Heartbreakers, New York Dolls, Iggy Pop, Nico, Gang War and Sid Vicious, including various previously unreleased recordings and rarities. Over the years the Max's Kansas City club has become ever more legendary.

    The Best Of Big Star

Though power-pop forefathers Big Star were active for just a few short years in the early-mid 1970s, the Memphis band has gone on to become one of the most influential artists in modern music, with a cult status that few can compete with. This new compilation celebrates Big Star with 16 tracks spanning all 3 of their LPs (1972's #1 Record, 1974's Radio City and Third, released after the group disbanded, in 1978), and features rare single versions of some of their most popular songs. Includes liner notes from GRAMMY-winning writer and director Robert Gordon, plus an introduction by sole surviving Big Star member, drummer Jody Stephens.

Juke Joint At The Edge Of The World

Juke Joint At The Edge Of The World is a record that reflects the freedom my bandmates and I have found playing together in the last few years. Some of the places we play are like the old juke joints where people dance and shout - from these people and places we've found the energy we need to be free to shake the music up. Now, when we improvise we know it's going to take us to a new and better musical place. Time listening and working together has given us that. The result is that this record has more of a "live in the studio" feel to it. It's also rooted more in the soul and R&B dance music I grew up listening to and playing. Less thinking and more playing. Less analyzing and more fun.

When I wrote these new songs, I inhabited various characters and let them speak from their worlds about delusions and fantasy ("Plan B"), poverty, humor and strength ("Pot Holes on Main Street"), memories of my youth and class/race segregation ("Garbage Man"). I dreamed the song "Mali Katra" (what language is that?) after seeing a large group of vultures roosting on a cell tower on one of my walks. This got me thinking about the spirits and powers that roam the world and run in the background of our lives. The artwork for the cover reminds me of the absurdity and wildness of all that. I thought about calling the record Rex Comes Home. Anyway, I wouldn't take that call from that particular cell tower.

I could go on and on but suffice it to say the music is freer this time and the songs will take you places that make you dream and dance. Enjoy!

    Four Cornered Night

    Pressed On 180 Gram Vinyl

Consisting of ex-Jawbreaker frontman Blake Schwarzenbach, ex-Texas Is the Reason drummer Chris Daly, and ex-Handsome vocalist/guitarist Jeremy Chatelain, Jets to Brazil could be considered an amalgam of their forefathers with a slightly darker and more mature musical perspective.

With the 1998 release of their first LP, Orange Rhyming Dictionary, Jets to Brazil took the expectations of their peers and turned them on their heads, surprising most with their breed of music that is fresh and excitingly powerful. As the band members continue to move away from their namesakes and become more comfortable with their expanding sound, the world could see something quite intriguing evolve. Jets to Brazil followed up with Four Cornered Night in August 2000. Two years later, the band returned with their darkest, most inspirational material to date; Perfecting Loneliness was released in October 2002 and reflected mega-tight musicianship from the band. - All Music Guide

    Mirror Might Steal Your Charm

THE GARDEN is an ever-evolving duo from Orange County,
California. Established in 2011 by twin brothers Fletcher and
Wyatt Shears, they also created the term, "Vada Vada" to represent
their music and other endeavors. Touring globally since
2012, they have become known for their energetic, aggressive
    and off the wall performances.

Typically seen live playing drums and electronics, Fletcher
can also be seen front and center on vocals, belligerently performing
alongside his brother, Wyatt. Wyatt consistently takes
position of lead vocals and bass in the duo whilst performing
and can be seen simultaneously moving in un-choreographed
    bizarre patterns.
