A Live One'
A Live OnePressed On 4x 180-Gram Red / Blue Colored Vinyl
Phish and JEMP Records are set to release A Live One, the band's inaugural live album, for the first time on vinyl in a limited edition 4-LP set.
A Live One was recorded primarily by Paul Languedoc on multitrack DA-88 DTRS digital tapes throughout Phish's 1994 summer, fall and holiday concert tours. The band produced the album, selecting the material and overseeing the mix to 1/2 reels in March-April 1995 with Ed Thacker and his team of engineers at Bearsville Studios.
A Live One contains twelve original Phish compositions, five of which were previously unreleased: Gumbo," Slave To The Traffic Light," Wilson," Simple," and Harry Hood." The record was sequenced to approximate a two-set Phish performance and every track from the more-than-two-hour collection is notable - from the thirty-plus minute "Tweezer" to the "Wilson" opener from the band's first Madison Square Garden show. "Gumbo" featured an updated version of Phish's own Giant Country Horns. More than twenty years later, A Live One "Stash" and "Harry Hood" still rank among both songs' top performances. After five studio albums, A Live One captured and conveyed the magic of the band's improvisational live shows, and every song on the record (except "Montana") has remained a staple of Phish shows ever since.
A Live One was originally released by Elektra June 27, 1995 on CD and cassette. It was the first Phish album to be certified gold and remains Phish's best selling album. The laquers for the vinyl edition were cut from the 1/2 flat masters by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering and pressed onto 180g vinyl.LP 1

Donny Hathaway had one of the strongest voices in Soul, both in mere vocal prowess and in his lyrical abilities. The Ghetto, one of his most beloved songs, is on par with Marvin Gaye's What's Going On (incidentally also a famous cover by Hathaway, as featured on this Live album) or Curtis Mayfield's Move On Up.
1972's Live cemented Hathaway's reputation as one of the forerunners of Soul, giving wonderful Jazzed-up interpretations (two of them running over the 10-minute mark) of classics. Hathaway plays with the audiences of the Troubadour in Hollywood and the Bitter End in New York like a preacher from the pulpit; their call-and-response is one of the elements that makes this album a classic of epic proportions.1. LiveSundazed Music is proud to present a genuine psychedelic landmark: Live by Moby Grape, the first official collection of concert recordings by the legendary San Francisco band at its blazing late-Sixties peak. At that time, in rock's hippest city, there was no other band like the original Grape: Jerry Miller, Skip Spence, Bob Mosley, Peter Lewis and Don Stevenson. Their Columbia debut LP, Moby Grape, issued in June 1967, is still acclaimed as one of the greatest rock albums evera thrilling union of blues, soul, country, surf twang and day-glo garage rock, packed into original killer-pop songwriting. Even as extreme Columbia hype, devastating business hassles and Spence's tragic mental collapse threatened to blow up the band, the Grape continued to make immortal albums, including 1968's Wow and the magnificent Moby Grape '69.
But the records told only half of the tale. Moby Grape, in their prime, were also one of the Bay Area'sand America'sbest stage bands, like the Beatles and Rolling Stones in one, with a breathtaking triple-guitar attack and stunning vocal harmonies.
Live is the long-awaited proof. It features more than an hour of dynamite performances from soundboard and broadcast tapes, including tracks from the Avalon Ballroom in 1967 and the band's complete long-lost set at the Monterey Pop Festival, just a week after Moby Grape came out. There are live versions of the great rare Grape songs Rounder and Looper and five tracks from a famous Dutch radio show featuring the hard-charging '69 lineup of Miller, Mosley, Lewis and Stevenson.
And Live climaxes with the historic first-ever release of Spence's acid-guitar masterpiece Dark Magicnever recorded in the studio by the original band but presented here in an epic 17-minute performance at the Avalon, on New Year's Eve 1966. Moby Grape were the hottest band in town that night, with the whole rock & roll world ahead of them. And they sound like it. These four-decade-old recordings have been spectacularly mastered, in you-are-there fidelity, and this album comes with sumptuous packaging and rare photos, in true Sundazed style, plus liner notes by Rolling Stone writer and Moby Grape authority David Fricke. Live presents, at last, the untold part of Moby Grape's incredible story. It is San Francisco psychedelia at its zenith and the best historical rock release of the year.1. LiveThirty years ago this lineup stormed across the U.S. like a Blizzard, leaving audiences in complete awe! This live LP showcases the power and intensity of an Ozzy Osbourne performance from 1981, with legendary guitarist Randy Rhoads at his side and the solid rhythm section of Tommy Aldridge (drums) and Rudy Sarzo (bass).
Though many bands have succeeded in earning the hatred of parents and media worldwide throughout the past few decades, arguably only such acts as Alice Cooper, Judas Priest, and Marilyn Manson have tied the controversial record of Ozzy Osbourne.
The former Black Sabbath frontman has been ridiculed over his career, mostly due to rumors denouncing him as a psychopath and Satanist. Despite his outlandish reputation, however, one cannot deny that Osbourne has had an immeasurable effect on heavy metal.1. I Don't Know

LiveAfter landing a total of ten #1 hits, moving over 20 million records worldwide, and selling out shows everywhere with a stage, Collective Soul-Ed Roland [vocals, guitars, keyboards], Dean Roland [guitars], Will Turpin [bass], Jesse Triplett [guitars], and Johnny Rabb [drums]-staunchly and proudly remain a rock 'n' roll band through and through. Nowhere is that reassuring fact more apparent than on the first proper live album of the group's 25-year career, LIVE.
Fittingly, they introduce the collection with a live piano rendition of their biggest hit 1993's "Shine"-which would be crowned #1 Album Rock Song of 1994, win a Billboard award for "Top Rock Track," land on VH1's "100 Greatest Songs of the '90s," and notch Dolly Parton a GRAMMY® Award for "Best Vocal Performance" on her 2001 cover. Preserving the soulful spark that established them as the "Southern Gentlemen of the Alternative Rock Scene," Collective Soul build upon a formidable foundation. They were inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 2009. To date, they average over 1 million Spotify streams a month. From a classic performance at Woodstock 1994 to a notable placement on the Twilight soundtrack, their influence continues to course through generations of pop culture.LP 1

The Modern Lovers were an American rock band led by Jonathan Richman in the 70s and 80s. The original band existed from 1970 to 1974 but their recordings were not released until 1976 or later.
Live catches Jonathan Richman at the height of his candy-floss novelty period. The music is warm and mild, almost all of it derived from 50s and early-60s models such as surf idioms and guitar instrumentals.

One One OneJazz and metal might not appear at first to be the most obvious bedfellows, but leave it to a bunch of Norwegians to make it actually work.
One One One is Shining's conclusion to the Blackjazz trilogy and their seventh album, and finds the band on a rare pop tip. While their standout 'In The Kingdom of Kitsch You Will Be A Monster' threw them into a soup of influences, One One One shows the band pitting their musical smarts against a (theoretically) much more simplistic mode.
'I Won't Forget' is the album's first single, and is accompanied by a suitably Brazil-esque video that pushes the Norwegians into some kind of dystopian future-scape. Riffing as if their lives depended on it, the band muster up a sound something like Don Caballero doing a rendition of a Queens of the Stone Age track with Rob Zombie on vocals, and that can't be a bad thing.

Live-Evil (1970) by Miles Davis is a double live album which features different settings of Miles Davis' bands.
One of such recordings is of a 1970 gig at the Cellar Door, which featured a band comprised of Miles, bassist Michael Henderson, drummer Jack DeJohnette, guitarist John McLaughlin, saxophonist Gary Barts, and Keith Jarrett. The group is groovy, fast, and funky.
The other setting was recorded with Ron Carter, Dave Holland, Chick Corea, and Herbie Hancock among others. This record is complex, but somehow still groovy. Tracs like "Sivad", "Funky Tonk", and "What I say" shows enthusiasm and wonderfully live material.LP 1

ADAD-4AD-0514xThe Birthday Party
Live 81-82Few bands were as cataclysmic, chaotic, and iconoclastic as Australia's Birthday Party. And while they spawned a few imitators (most notably Bogshead, Scratch Acid, and the short-lived batcave movement), their fractured sound and aura of wickedness were so far removed from the norm of early-'80s rock music that no group even came close to duplicating their murderous persona and manic, driving racket.
Live 1981-82 collects 17 tracks from concerts in London, Germany, and Greece, and for a band whose music seemed to cling to sanity by the most delicate of threads, these recordings are surprisingly coherent and faithful to the album versions.
Taking into account the barrage of feedback, the pile-driving bass, and singer Nick Cave's howling, the sound is also quite good (the only exception being the single cut from Greece, a cover of the Stooges Funhouse).
As for the performances, the band is in excellent form. Cave delivers the songs with conviction and energy, punctuating them with his startling vocabulary of shiver-inducing screams, grunts, snorts, groans, and growls. Considering the schizophrenia that was so much a part of the band's music, Cave's ability to convincingly deliver his gut-wrenching angst is nothing short of remarkable.
While Cave's Manson-meets-Morrison persona drew most of the attention, it was the Birthday Party's ability to swing--hard--that put them over the top. Drummer Phil Calvert is a beacon in the sea of chaos as guitarists Mick Harvey and Roland S. Howard disembowel their guitars, blasting shards of jazz and blues across the horizon. The late bassist Tracy Pew is the real revelation. Rock solid and never missing a beat, Pew emerges as the constant amidst the wreckage, providing the rich base from which these bad seeds sprung.
Live 1981-81 is a near-perfect document of one of rock's most extreme, creative, and dangerous forces.

Includes Original 2015 Enslaved Roadburn Poster
Roadburn Live is Enslaved's first official live album, a split release between Roadburn Records and By Norse Music. Enslaved is a band widely known for being one of the best live bands in the scene. The album was recorded during one of band's headline shows at the renown Roadburn Festival 2015; an edition curated by Enslaved's guitar player Ivar Bjørnson. The album features a brilliant layout created by highly demanded artist and Roadburn's regular graphic designer Costin Chioreanu.
The album was mixed by Iver Sandøy at Solslottet Studio, mastered by Jens Bogren (Kreator, Opeth, Sepultura) in Fascination Studios. It is also the last official release with Herbrand Larsen on keys and vocals.
After celebrating 25 years in 2016 showcasing a majority of older material, Roadburn Live displays songs mainly from the newer and more progressive part of Enslaved's career, with songs from "In Times", "Riitiir", "Isa", "Below the Lights" and "Monumension". The album features the guest appearances of Einar Selvik (Wardruna), Aðalbjörn Tryggvason (Sólstafir), Per Wiberg (Opeth, Candlemass); and Menno Gootjes (Focus) on Immigrant Song, the first cover song by Enslaved to ever appear on a record.
Grutle Kjellson comments on the album: I'm generally not a huge fan of live albums, I like to be present at a show, to grasp the energy of the band and to witness the, sometimes, magical symbiosis that occurs between the band and the audience. I am, however, a huge fan of the Roadburn Festival! I consider this to be my all time favorite, both as a musician and as a guest. Therefore; if ever Enslaved were to release a live album, it had to be from a Roadburn show! I hope you will enjoy this piece of wax as much as we had recording it!1. Building With Fire

The film has already been hailed as "a captivating record of an artist in full command of her idiosyncratic powers" (Variety) and "an imaginative stand-alone artwork" (Hollywood Reporter) and is a vital piece of the grand mosaic that is 'Biophilia.'

40 years on and, for good or ill, the Sex Pistols remain the band that we think of first when we think of the 70s punk revolution that continues to resonate. There isn't much they can do about that. History has spoken.
They were the band largely responsible for kicking against the established rock order and establishing a new attitude and DIY aesthetic. Although they would quite naturally baulk at the idea of being called a 'punk' outfit, it does on a certain level appear very timely that we're celebrating the 40th Anniversary of punk this summer with this fantastic live collection.
It was the summer of '76 and the Sex Pistols were causing havoc up and down the country. It has been noted that this series of gigs inspired a generation to make their own music and arguably turned the musical world on its head - such was the power and influence the band had.
This collection, with the concerts released in full and correctly sequenced for the very first time also comes complete with stunning related photographs and an original facsimile press kit including articles from Melody Maker, Sounds, Rock Star and Rock New.LP 1: June 4th, 1976 - Lesser Free Trade Hall, Manchester

Foghat LiveIt's one of the greatest rock 'n' roll live albums of all time, and one of the greatest rock 'n' roll albums of the '70s, period. And it (deservedly) vaulted one of the best boogie bands ever to superstardom. But, even in this golden era of classic rock vinyl reissues, Foghat: Live has not seen its killer twin guitar jams recommitted to wax until now! Real Gone Music is proud to bring this legendary live album back to vinyl where it belongs, with a limited-edition package that pulls no punches: 180-gram vinyl, with painstaking replications of the original die-cut jacket and of the 4-color cardboard inner "Eurosleeve" that peeks out through the die-cut. Peter Black's remastering and lacquer cutting brings out every note in such stomping songs as "Honey Hush" (taken at twice the speed of the studio version), "Home in My Hand" (check those a cappella harmonies), the big hit "Fool for the City, " "Road Fever" and, of course, the frenzied boogie favorites "I Just Want to Make

Live 1969This 1969 live recording from Mount Carmel High School in Houston represents the final stage appearance by the original lineup of Texas garage combo Fever Tree. With two strong studio LPs for UNI Records behind them, the group began to fragment from internal struggles. Consequently, the label asked for one more album. The group complied and the results are contained in this previously unreleased concert recording, presented here in 180 gram vinyl.
Sharpening their chops on the Gulf Coast circuit, followed by a high-profile opening night gig at Hollywoods legendary Kaleidoscope, Fever Tree developed a keen sense of musical drama and dynamics. This versatility is in sharp display on the concerts rendition of their underground radio hit San Francisco Girls (Return of the Native). For the rest, Live 1969 focuses on groovers, a perfect set-up for the gliding fuzztones of lead guitarist Michael Knust, the sonic organ of Rob Landes, the thick rhythms provided by E.E. Bud Wolfe III on bass and John Tuttle on drums ,and the dynamic, driving lead vocals of Dennis Keller.
Dont Come Crying to Me Girl, a song originally found on the bands second album, levitates the band beyond any earthly confines. Elsewhere, the set moves between a soaring cover of Donovans Hey Gyp, their own power pop Grand Candy Young Sweet and a whirlng psych take on Wilson Picketts Ninety-Nine and One Half (Wont Do). Playing as if their lives depended on it, Live 1969 captures a band at the height of its powers, forever preserved on this final audio testament.1. Grand Candy Young Sweet

GodWeenSatan: LiveUncertain whether or not to cancel their re-release party for GodWeenSatan: The Oneness on Sept. 14, 2001, just days after the tragic events of 9/11, Ween took the stage at their local bar, John & Peter's, in New Hope, PA. What unfolded was pure catharsis for both the band and the packed crowd. Ween ran through the album in its entirety and captured the show on 24-track tape. This release, the band's first since 2008, is that never-before-heard recording.LP 1

Live And In Living Color
First Time 180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl! 40th Anniversary Edition!
Impeccably Mastered By Joe Reagoso At Friday Music & Capitol Mastering, Hollywood, CA
For over four decades, Tower Of Power have been the one of the premier soul, funk and rock bands of our time. Captivating audiences all over the world, the mighty Bay Area ensemble continues to tour extensively and release great music as proven with their 1976 smash "Live And In Living Color."
"Live And In Living Color" reigns as one of the most notable live albums in funk history. With six super long jams from the pens of founders Emilio Castillo (alto sax/vocals) and Stephen Kupka (baritone sax/vocals), the Lp did well on the r&b radio formats as well as rock and jazz outlets across the country. Especially with the incredible live version of their top charting smash What Is Hip? which is currently featured in the hit HBO tv show Vinyl.
Further T.O.P. champions like "Knock Yourself Out", "Down To The Nightclub" and the soulful ballad grooves of You're Still A Young Man" and "Sparkling In The Sand" made this album truly memorable.
Long time member David Garibaldi kicks out his awesome TOP drum sound on this masterwork, along with the incredible horn attack of Castillo and Kupka, with the late great Mic Gillette. Check out Chester Thompson's thrilling keyboard stylings along side the solid vocal artistry of Hubert Tubbs....truly a winning sound from these Oakland superstars.
Friday Music is no stranger to the soulful and funk sounds of the legendary superstars Tower Of Power. Therefore it is with much honor to continue our Tower Of Power/Friday Music Original Master Series with their smash concert album "Live And In Living Color." Impeccably mastered from the Warner Bros. tapes by Joe Reagoso (Tower Of Power/The Isley Brothers), we've also included the original Lp cover graphics to further enhance your Tower Of Power experience.
