Blues and BeyondHoused in an awesome double gatefold "AxeWax" vinyl, Blues And Beyond features a number of Gary Moore's blues studio recordings, most of which have never appeared on vinyl.
Best known for his evocative solo hits, "Parisienne Walkways" and
"Still Got the Blues" (live versions feature in this set), and his on/
off membership of Thin Lizzy, Gary Moore's solo career comprises
over twenty albums. Throughout the 1980s, Gary moved up the rock
hierarchy, but turned his back on what he regarded as the empty
flash of metal and reverted to his heart music-the blues-where
ironically he scored his biggest commercial success through his
1990s and 2000s blues albums.
As well as running his own bands, during a successful solo career,
Gary mixed with the best that rock and blues could offer, playing
live and on record with George Harrison, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker,
Greg Lake, BB King, Albert King, Albert Collins and many others.
Gary was also the guitarist many looked up to, not just for the
terrifying speed of his fretwork, but for the passion, fire and
honesty in his playing.1. Enough Of The Blues

Stevie Ray Vaughan: Live At Carnegie HallImport
180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl
Featuring Dr. John & Jimmie Vaughan
Available On Vinyl For The First Time!
Live at Carnegie Hall is a live Texas blues album by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, released in 1997. The concert was recorded at New York City's Carnegie Hall on October 4, 1984, a day after Vaughan's thirtieth birthday (leading to Vaughan's description of the show as My best birthday ever ... forever).
Special guests included drummer George Rains, Dr. John on keyboards, the Roomful of Blues horn section, brother Jimmie Vaughan on guitar, and vocalist Angela Strehli. This was the first and only time in the band's history that the trio was expanded.
The set list was in large part Vaughan's personal, private, tribute to his role models; he played tunes by Guitar Slim, Albert Collins, and Albert King, all musicians who never got to perform in the legendary concert hall. The album charted on the Billboard 200, and was the #1 Blues album for eight weeks.LP 1

Texan Albert Collins was absolutely one of the most prolific and rhythmic pioneers on the American blues scene

time, Collins was truly an American legend on the worldwide blues circuit.
While recording a plethora of singles on cool blues labels like Kangaroo, Tracie and Hall-Way from 1962 to 1965,
TCF Records released Albert's first album The Cool Sounds Of Albert Collins a/k/a Truckin' With Albert Collins from a
bunch of these wonderful single sessions. The album quickly faded into obscurity until a chance meeting with Canned
Heat. The band convinced the man to make a move to California and the rest is rock and blues history.
Upon his arrival on the L.A. rock and blues market, he soon became one of the country's leading blues guitarist
with a ton of devotees like his fans Canned Heat, John Mayall, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Robert Cray whom were all
diggin' what the bluesman was laying down.
Blue Thumb Records soon re-released his stunning first album Truckin' With Albert Collins, and now thousands
of blues fans the world over were soon discovering the classic early sixties album which boasted his hit blues singles
like Frosty, Tremble and Frost Bite.
The dozen gems that make up this jumping blues event would go on to become some of his most famous tunes
including Frosty which was covered by numerous rock and blues artists over the years, plus even more terrific blues
rockers like of Sno-Cone II, Icy Blue and the rockin' Don't Lose Your Cool.

Alright Again! One of the most satisfying contemporary Brown [albums] of all for the discerning blues fan. Nothing but swinging, horn-abetted blues adorn this album, as Gate pays tribute to an influence and a protege by covering T-Bone Walker's Strollin' with Bones and Albert Collins's Frosty. Brown's jauntily revives Junior Parker's I Feel Alright Again and Percy Mayfield's Give Me Time to Explain, while his own numbers -- a funky Dollar Got the Blues, the luxurious blues Sometimes I Slip -- are truly brilliant.

Blak And BluClark has been slipping songs from Blak and Blu into his sets while performing at all of this year's major music festivals, including Bonnaroo, Coachella, Osheaga Festival, Sasquatch!, Lollapalooza, and the NOLA Jazz & Heritage Festival. He was also the only artist invited to play both nights of Jay Z's Made in America Festival. In addition to 12 of Clark's original compositions, Blak and Blu also features a 13th song - a blistering cover of Little Johnny Taylor's (popularized by Albert Collins), If You Love Me Like You Say / Third Stone From The Sun (Jimi Hendrix) is actually a complete reworking of the song utilizing the Hendrix riff reinterpreted by Clark. The result is an extraordinary hybrid of the two ideas that breathes new fire to an old favorite.LP 1
