Antennas To Hell'
Antenna To The AfterworldAs a writer -- of songs, or plays, or short stories -- Smith has never limited himself to one style or
theme. The restless trend of changing gears dramatically continues on Antenna to the Afterworld,
which marks a total musical and narrative shift from last year's Longtime Companion (a country
record that chronicled Smith's break up).
On Antenna to the Afterworld, Smith likens himself to a space being visiting Earth using wry humor,
gritty poetry, and a myriad of musical lenses fleshed out by drummer Kelley Stoltz's Joy Division-like
beats, Ryan Browne's new wavish basslines, and Tahlia Harbour's deadpan vocals.
The murder of a close friend of the band led Smith to think a lot about death and life after death.
Shortly after, a visit to a psychic/medium brought Smith into contact with another friend who had

From Hell To TexasNashville Pussy came together in 1996. Albums such as Let Them Eat Pussy (1998), High As Hell (2000) or Say Something Nasty (2002) have caused an international stir, and their 1999 single release ´Fried Chicken And Coffee` earned the band a Grammy nomination in the category ´Best Metal Performance`. We were tired of seeing and hearing bands that were just going through rock 101 motions, all slick but with no real soul. So we decided to play the kind of music that we would like to hear, comments Ruyter Suys on the birth of her band. A renowned American music magazine rightly referred to Nashville Pussy as One of the hardest working bands in show biz today.
Following the release of their previous album in September of 2005, Get Some, complete with a cover version of Ike & Tina Turner's 'Nutbush City Limits', the band set out on an extensive tour, determined to document impressively what their audience had come to expect under the heading of 'kick ass live show' (captured on the new DVD Live in Hollywood), and this is precisely what the band's European fans can look forward to in the beginning of 2012. Hell YeahPioneers, philosophers, trailblazers, in short: prophets always have to assemble their flocks abroad before they find due recognition in their homelands. This also applies to the German artform KMFDM. Whether in the US, Japan, Australia or elsewhere (where they sold hundred thousands of records and embarked on various sold out tours) - for over a quarter of a century they are the epitome and synonym for a musical style of the harder variety: Industrial Rock. KMFDM pioneered the crossover between techno/dance and heavy metal, creating their unique sound and were one of the first bands to bring Industrial Rock to mainstream. They influenced bands such as Rammstein with whom they were touring the US - with KMFDM headlining. The band was founded in 1984 and rapidly evolved year by year through intense experimentation and touring. They have managed to redefine themselves with every new release.
Now KMFDM are preparing to release their first new studio album in over 3 years entitled HELL YEAH via earMUSIC. An EP, YEAH! was released earlier to whet fans appetite and features some great remixes. Lead single HELL YEAH is an instant KMFDM classic with its ultra-heavy beat and Sascha Konietzko s trademark cynical lyrics. The album ranges from songs that are sometimes political (FAKE NEWS, TOTAL STATE MACHINE) to more techno/dance tracks (MURDER MY HEART and Rx 4 THE DAMNED).
With its cover artwork having been created by Aidan Hughes aka BRUTE!, HELL YEAH will be available on 2xLP Gatefold (180 Gram/45 RPM).1. Hell Yeah

Raising HellUp until Raising Hell, the rap juggernaut we know as Run-DMC was still in its building and breaking-down- doors phase. In 1986 that
changed, and in a dramatic way. With their third long-player, the group had reached the mountaintop. It was THE record that proved
hip-hop wasn't a fad.
Raising Hell marked an important and significant new era for the group. Leaving producer Larry Smith for up-and- coming sonic
innovator Rick Rubin (still co-produced by Run's brother Russell Simmons), they began to fully transition not only their own sound, but
the sound of the entire genre. Less live playing - with some exceptions - and a slicker, tighter sonic attack. Musical aesthetics aside,
though, at their core they stayed true to the essence of hip-hop: two turntables and a microphone, or two.
It's impossible to talk about the album without its worldwide smash, "Walk This Way," which hit #4 on the Billboard pop charts and saw
the group digging in the rock crates to summon Aerosmith in the flesh, combining Steven Tyler's and Joe Perry's musicianship with the
group's own take on the '70s classic. The song's video cemented Run-DMC as legit MTV
idols, and both groups rode its wave to new heights.
Beyond "Walk This Way," the platter is full to the hilt with undeniable classic singles: "You Be Illin'"; "It's Tricky"; "Peter Piper" and the
fashion-world shifting "My Adidas." Each song was new proof that Run-DMC's sound was indeed new, but still familiar, and full of the
energy, charisma and innovation that drew fans to their first two LPs.
Aside from the singles, the reason the album stands up so well is the fact that there is virtually no filler. "Proud To Be Black" remains a
pioneering and underrated cut when people talk about "conscious" hip-hop. And to make sure they never lost the streets that gave them
their start, "Hit It Run," "Son Of Byford," "Is It Live" and "Perfection" all bring it back to the group's early days in the park.
Besides the triple platinum status the album achieved, it was more than just a pop smash. It signaled a new era for rap music, and it was
the no-turning- back point for the entire genre. This was the beginning of what we now call the Golden Era, and it still sounds as fresh
today as it did three decades ago.

Send Them All To HellThe German PANZER, the Teutonic Heavy Metal trio, is comprised of yet three undisputed genre legends: Vocalist & bass-player Schmier, best known as frontman of DESTRUCTION and HEADHUNTER, guitarist Herman Frank (ACCEPT, VICTORY) as well as drummer Stefan Schwarzmann (ACCEPT).
The initial idea was born when drummer Stefan Schwarzmann, who has relocated to Switzerland about seven years ago, had a chat with the owner of renowned Swiss club Z7 in Pratteln. The two tried to figure out a way to fill the empty space within touring and recording, the venue has been facing with its most frequently playing bands. To make a long story short: Nobert Mandel (owner of Z7) had the idea of a trio, with both Stefan and Herman in it. The only vacancy for bass and vocals wouldn't stay open for long, as Stefan had the phone number and mail address of DESTRUCTION's Schmier right at hand - and so "The German Panzer" was born!
Commented vocalist & bass-player Schmier: "When Stefan Schwarzmann, drummer of ACCEPT and an old friend came to me with the idea of putting a band together, I first thought he tried to fool me hahaha! But the idea sounded amazing from the beginning and after the first meeting with Herman Frank, the German guitar legend, that everybody knows from his work with ACCEPT and VICTORY and Stefan, we realized really fast, that this team could really kick some serious ass together. And Instead of talking too long about it, we started writing songs right away and within some weeks had half of the album recorded and it sounded wicked! We don t wanna re-invent the metal-wheel. We play the music we love, easy as that and it's great fun cause we all dig this shit since we are teenagers!
Naming a band after fierce war machinery might seem a bit off for some, but if you take a look at the lyrics, this is picture perfect. The lyrics provoke, criticize and are part of the art. "My lyrics criticize... I don t pray," adds Schmier.
And as difficult as the search for a name was at first, with all members being German die-hards and organizers of the Teutonic scene, The German PANZER seemed to be the name everybody remembers right away.
As for the album title, »Send Them All To Hell« was almost mandatory, as these are the first words to be heard on the record, with Schmier whispering them into the mic. With the exception of one track that feature all three members, all songs are written entirely by Herman Frank and Schmier.
If you like it heavy, more melodic or if you dig Speed Metal, then The German PANZER will hit right on - Or to say it with Herman Frank: "No left - no right! Just straight forward like a Panzer!1. Death knell

All Hell (Awaiting Repress)One thing that has come out of sharing our lives through songs and touring is the comforting knowledge that we all live, breathe, suffer, and survive together, says singer Davey Muise.
No matter how dark the past or deep the problems, each of us have the power to let everything out through music and begin to not only heal but rebuild. All Hell is everything we've been through, all the problems, all the pain, all the lessons we've learned or were forced to face. But make no mistake. These songs aren't confessions - they're us being proud and owning the people we are now. This record is you on the other side of the hell you've gone through: better, stronger, and ready for more. No matter what you fought through, bled about and survived, we feel it, we're with you and this records is our anthem. This is the sound when All Hell comes crashing down.

Hell Awaits (Awaiting Repress)With their second full length album and third overall, Slayer upped the ante in every way possible. Breakneck tempos, gruesome lyrics and proper production gave the band a progressive and distinct sound that was becoming all their own. Hell Awaits is where the band began to sound truly sinister and evil and Dave Lombardo's famous double bass drumming brilliantly propells the lightspeed riffing and twisted solos of Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman here. Bassist Tom Araya's dark and demonic lyrics touched on everything from the mind of a serial killer in Kill Again to vampires on At Dawn They Sleep and the unhinged lust of Necrophiliac. Hell Bent For LettersAlternative Tentacles tosses our well-worn thinking cap into the no-holds-barred, no-child-left-behind ring of Educore with Hell Bent for Letters, the latest outing by Seattle's BLOODHAG. Formed in 1995 to stimulate a communion between literacy and punk/metal, BLOODHAG boasts a lineup of noted science fiction authors Prof. J. B. Stratton, Dr. J. M. McNulty, Sir Zachary Orgel and the shadowy occultist Master Brent Carpenter. They created the genre of Edu-core and operate under the motto Th e faster you go deaf, the more time you have to read.
While BLOODHAG's minute-long songs have the common theme of esteemed authors such as George Orwell and Philip K. Dick--and their live shows include between-song mini-lectures as well as pelting of the audience with books--the music counters with the blunt force of bands like BRUJERIA, PANTERA, SEPULTURA, etc.
It's open to debate whether Edu-core can actually pummel literary history into the hungry minds of head-banging youth, but we certainly can't blame BLOODHAG for trying to bridge the gap between death metal tombs and Pulizerwilling tomes or the beer-soaked venues and pristine libraries (yes, they really tour public libraries).
With their neckties and pocket protectors cocked and loaded, BLOODHAG is ready to stave off the dumbing down of America. So, invest in the leaders of tomorrow! Buy Hell Bent for Letters today!

Trip Thru Hell
Gold Colored Vinyl
The C.A. Quintet's journey to Hades burned hot enough to melt the ice in their frigid Minnesota environs. A coveted collectable since the psychedelic record collecting disaster whirl first started over 30 years ago, Trip Thru Hell (1968) is rightly regarded as the epitome of local psych-cum-garage rising above its humble roots into something truly monolithic.
Evolving from the local circuit into a hellish beast of keyboards, lysergic lyrics, trippy guitars and even subtle trumpet parts, the C.A. Quintet's vision of the netherworld glowed in flaming orange, red and yellow as their instincts took over. Kicking off with the chilling psychedelicized keyboard-led instrumental title track, the album singes the psyche of the listener with an array of atmospheric beelzefuzz on "Colorado Mourning," sitar-like solos intertwining with fuzz and horns on "Underground Music," and the more benevolent Lucifer on "Smooth As Silk," which swirls with keys and harmony vocals to underscore a brilliant melody. Mortals dare not venture to the sinister realm of the "Cold Spider" and especially not "Sleepy Hollow Lane," a mistier place than even the Chocolate Watchband could dream of visiting.
As the first label to give this distinguished work the treatment it deserved 20 years ago, Sundazed returns with this gold vinyl reissue reproducing all of the original artwork and ensuring the authentic analog sound of psychedelia.1. Trip Thru Hell (Part I)

Hell On Heels"The music of the Pistol Annies is the three of us truly being ourselves-not only in our songwriting and storytelling, but also in the way we perform as a team. We wanted to make music that people talk about but might not want to admit and it's the kind of raw and honest country music that deserves to be on vinyl," said Miranda.
The trio was born during a songwriting session with Lambert, a.k.a. "Lonestar Annie" and Monroe, a.k.a "Hipppie Annie." While writing and sharing stories, Monroe decided that Lambert and Presley, a.k.a "Holler Annie," needed to meet, and a midnight phone call with the three of them launched the group. New Maps Of HellIn a world ruled increasingly by superstition and intolerance, Bad Religion's rousing wall-of-sound punk seems about as necessary now as ever before. It is the impassioned sound of reason, anthems of a bittersweet idealism and a guarded hope set to propulsive guitars and charging drumbeats. Derived from the Old English word for "executioner," Carnifex's moniker could not be more appropriate. It's a word that reeks of death and destruction from the Dark Ages to describe a fiercely morbid death metal band. It's hard to imagine that San Diego, known for its white sand beaches, endless sunny days and astronomical real estate, is also home to the brutal beat down that is Carnifex.
In 2008, the band proudly delivered their first Victory Records album to the metal masses. Intriguing and armed to the teeth with an arsenal of blast beats, machine gun riffs and vocals exorcised from the deepest pits of hell, The Diseased and the Poisoned is the soundtrack to your worst nightmare.
It's 2010 follow-up for the label, Hell Chose Me, however, saw the band take an even darker and more blasphemous approach to their already visceral sound. Blood curdling screams, guttural growls, bottom heavy baselines, and razor-sharp guitar riffs make for what is some of the band's darkest and most brutal work to date. And Hell Will Follow MeIncludes CD
A Pale Horse Named Death is the brainchild of Brooklyn, NY native Sal Abruscato, and sounds like Alice in Chains mysteriously sneaking up behind Type O Negative with a butcher knife while being filmed for a future episode of Law & Order. Sals partner in crime on And Hell Will Follow Me is Matt Brown, sound engineer extraordinaire and guitarist of fellow NY band Seventh Void.
The chemistry between me and Matt is unique and flawless, very rare in todays music. We are the murdering evil version of Lennon and McCartney. says Abruscato. Brown adds, Sal asked me if I would help to take these songs to the next level. I took on this project for my friend, to find some closure in rough times. The music is just an extension of our friendship and our passion for creativity.
The album artwork was done by Sam Shearon aka Mr. Sam, who has previously done work for Rob Zombie, Fear Factory and Cradle of Filth to name a few, and features a 20 page booklet with artwork for each individual song. Additionally, the Double LP version will feature a never before heard bonus track called Pick Up Truck.
To top that all off, Life of Agonys Keith Caputo lent background vocals to four tracks and Lou Reeds saxophonist Ulrich Krieger guests on Die Alone. Bobby Hambel from Biohazard, who also plays with the band live, played the guitar leads on three tunes.1. And Hell Will Follow Me

Hotter Than Hell (Awaiting Repress)Although Kiss' self-titled debut performed respectably on the charts, it was not the blockbuster they had hoped for. With the album fading on the charts in the summer of 1974, Kiss was summoned back into the studio to work on a follow-up. Producers Richie Wise and Kenny Kerner were onboard again, and even though the sonics are muddier (and more filler is present in the compositions), Hotter Than Hell is another quintessential Kiss release. Many of the songs have been forgotten over the years (few have been featured in concert after the '70s), but there are still more than a few gems to be found. It's unclear if the members of Kiss were having problems with their personal relationships at the time, but it's a common thread that runs through the songs. The plodding Got to Choose and the rapid-fire Parasite deal with love gone bad; the title track is about unobtainable love, while Goin' Blind is a disturbing tale of a 93-year-old having an affair with a 16-year-old. Also included are the early favorites Let Me Go, Rock 'n' Roll and Watchin' You, as well as the original electric version of Comin' Home (an acoustic version was the opener of 1996's MTV Unplugged) and Strange Ways, which contains one of Ace Frehley's best guitar solos. Even though Hotter Than Hell actually fared worse on the charts than the debut, it has become a revered album among Kiss fans over the years -- and rightfully so.

Hell Or High Water SoundtrackDirected by David Mackenzie Hell or High Water is a heist film starring Ben Foster, Chris Pine and Jeff Bridges. Based on the infamous 2012 Black List script, the film is set in West Texas, in an area formerly known as Comancheria, and tells the story of two brothers who plan a bank robbery to save their family farm. The film was extremely well-received during its Premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
Critics praised and applauded the film's archetypal Americana, along with the memorable performances of its main protagonists and the composers' moody and minimalist score. Nick Cave of the Bad Seeds and his musical partner Warren Ellis deliver a ravishing score perfectly fitting the dry and arid landscape in which the characters strive to survive. strangers to taking risks with the boundary-pushing Neptunes, who return as trusted co-pilots for Hell Hath No Fury. As always the duo is right at home over The Neptunes crafted
beats which perfectly embrace Pusha's inventive drug-game metaphors and Malice's soul-baring confessionals. From the bouncy lead single "Mr. Me Too" and the Slim Thug
assisted "Wamp Wamp" to the oddly haunting Keys Open Doors to Momma I'm Sorry, Hell Hath No Fury represents some of the duo's best work. On the hypnotic "Keys Open
Doors," over the eerie mix of screwed-up angelic voices, chimes and congas, the brothers run circles around the competition, while the spine-tingling boom-bap of "Ride Around Shining" sets the stage for Pusha's hilarious boasts. Whether rhyming over distorted, lo-fi guitar plucks ("Dirty Money") or overblown 808s ("Trill"), the brothers come with colorful references and inventive word play that easily places them in a lyrical class of their own. Get On Down now proudly issues this Neptunes produced favorite on LP for the first time ever with the first run on white vinyl.

Never Before Released Recordings
People, Hell & Angels is a new album of twelve never before released Jimi Hendrix studio recordings. This special album showcases the legendary guitarist working outside of the original Jimi Hendrix Experience trio. Beginning in 1968, Jimi Hendrix grew restless, eager to develop new material with old friends and new ensembles. Outside the view of a massive audience that had established the Experience as rock's largest grossing concert act and simultaneously placed two of his albums together in the US Top 10 sales chart, Jimi was busy working behind the scenes to craft his next musical statement.LP1
