Ranked 14/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

    Pressed on 180 gram Vinyl

Sourced from the original master tapes

Cut at the legendary Abbey Road Studios!

Pressed on 180 gram vinyl, sourced from the original master tapes, and cut at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, your collection needs this Beatles classic. The last studio album from the group at a time when the group barely was one, amazingly this album is widely regarded as the best they ever made--a true tribute to the purity of the music.

To produce this vinyl, a team of gifted producers and engineers came together for four long years to mix and master on state of the art equipment. Like a science experiment, they theorized, tried, and tested extensively before copying the master tapes to digital 24 bit/192kHz resolution, never once touching the original songs but carefully removing clicks, pops, and poor edits; one last polish on what Rolling Stone Magazine considers the 14th out of 500 best albums of all time.

    The Beatles 1967-1970

All Analogue Master From The Original Master Tapes

Picking up where 1962-1966 left off, the double-album compilation 1967-1970, commonly called The Blue Album, covers the Beatles' later records, from Sgt. Pepper's through Let It Be. Like The Red Album, The Blue Album was released in the wake of a pair of widely advertised quadruple-LP bootlegs, Alpha Omega, Vols. 1-2: The Story of the Beatles, which had appeared early in 1973. And like its companion volume, this set contains a mixture of hits, including singles like Lady Madonna, Hey Jude, and Revolution -- which had originally appeared only as 45s -- plus important album tracks like Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, A Day in the Life, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, and Come Together, as well as orphaned tracks such as the single versions of Let It Be and Get Back, which had never been on any LP before. The first two sides of the original double-LP edition carry listeners through the highlights of the psychedelic era, starting with Strawberry Fields Forever and Penny Lane and up through Magical Mystery Tour, before returning to rock & roll territory on Lady Madonna, Hey Jude, and Revolution. The second LP skims three of the more popular tracks off of the sprawling White Album (aka The Beatles) and moves into the late singles (The Ballad of John and Yoko, Old Brown Shoe, Let It Be), plus single and album highlights from Abbey Road and Let It Be. As a prÉcis of the group's final 36 months, it's all mightily impressive, even if 1967-1970 misses several great songs. But like its predecessor, this set does capture the essence (if not the full range) of the Beatles' later recordings.

The Beatles' Original Mono Studio Album Remastered At Abbey Road Directly From The Analogue Masters For Vinyl Release By Sean Magee and Steve Berkowitz

Lacquers Cut Using Neumann VMS-80 Lathe

Ranked 10/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Manufactured For The World At Optimal Media In Germany, The Beatles' Albums Are Presented In Their Original Glory, Both Sonically And In Their Packaging.

The Beatles in mono: This is how most listeners first heard the group in the 1960s, when mono was the predominant audio format. Up until 1968, each Beatles album was given a unique mono and stereo mix, but the group always regarded the mono as primary. THE BEATLES is released in mono on two 180-gram vinyl LPs with faithfully replicated artwork, newly mastered from the analogue master tapes.

In an audiophile-minded undertaking, The Beatles' acclaimed mono albums have been newly mastered for vinyl from quarter-inch master tapes at Abbey Road Studios by GRAMMY®-winning engineer Sean Magee and GRAMMY®-winning mastering supervisor Steve Berkowitz. While THE BEATLES IN MONO CD boxed set released in 2009 was created from digital remasters, for this new vinyl project, Magee and Berkowitz cut the records without using any digital technology. Instead, they employed the same procedures used in the 1960s, guided by the original albums and by detailed transfer notes made by the original cutting engineers.

Working in the same room at Abbey Road where most of The Beatles' albums were initially cut, the pair first dedicated weeks to concentrated listening, fastidiously comparing the master tapes with first pressings of the mono records made in the 1960s. Using a rigorously tested Studer A80 machine to play back the precious tapes, the new vinyl was cut on a 1980s-era VMS80 lathe.

Via Michael Fremer (Analog Planet) on the mastering process:

The EQ applied was based upon the original cutting engineers' notes as well as careful listening to original first lacquer, first mother, first stamper EMI pressings (-1, 1, G matrix). The cartridge used was Ortofon's 2M Black.

It's important to remember that the tapes have aged-some as much as fifty years-and the monitoring, playback and mastering equipment have changed as well, even though the work was done in the very same room in which the originals were mastered. Solid state has replaced tubes in the cutting chain.

Lacquers were cut using Abbey Road Studios' Neumann VMS-80 lathe, equipped with a Neumann SX-74 cutter head. The originals were cut on a Scully lathe, perhaps with a Westrex cutter head.

    Pressed on 180 gram vinyl.

    Double LP

Beautiful packaging that includes double-sided photo montage, lyric sheet and 4 solo color photos.

The Beatles is the ninth official album by the English rock group The Beatles, a double album released in 1968. It is also commonly known as The White Album as it has no graphics or text other than the band's name embossed on its plain white sleeve.

The album was written and recorded during a period of turmoil for the group, after visiting the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in India and having a particularly productive songwriting session in early 1968. Returning to the studio, the group recorded from May to October 1968, only to have conflict and dissent drive the group members apart. Ringo Starr quit the band for a brief time, leaving Paul McCartney to play drums on two tracks. Many of the songs were solo recordings, or at least by less than the full group, as each individual member began to explore his own talent.

Upon release in November 1968, the album received largely positive reviews and reached number 1 on the charts in the United Kingdom and the United States. The album is notable for the eclectic nature of its songs, which has divided critics in evaluating its legacy. The album has sold over 30 million copies worldwide and was listed at number 10 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list.

A team consisting of some of the best producers and engineers in the recording industry were brought together and would spend 4 long years mixing and mastering with some of the most state of the art recording equipment. Treating these records much like a science experiment, engineers ran extensive tests before copying the analog master tapes over into a digital format using 24-bit/192 kHz resolution, and carefully removing clicks, vocal pops and poor edits. Never altering the original songs themselves, just polishing them up a bit.

Sourced From the Original Master Tapes!

Their first psychedelic masterpiece, Revolver, represents The Beatles at their most creative and cohesive form, still a tight rocking unit firing on all cylinders but with a surging freedom of self-expression. It is arguably their greatest album, in which they introduce whole new vistas of sound yet still contain them within tightly structured and performed songs.

Recorded before The Beatles' personalities began to clash and in advance of the fog brought on by drug use, Revolver encompasses practically every imaginable style and then some. Gentle harmonic pop "I Want to Tell You," stained-glass acid rock "She Said She Said," upbeat soul "Got to Get You Into My Life," Indian "Love You To," and what, at the time (and in some ways still is,) the most cutting-edge pop composition ever devised, "Tomorrow Never Knows," -- a song that single-handedly re-imagined and rewrote the rules of production.

Before the woolly politics of flower power had really taken over psychedelia, Revolver remains sharp and acerbic, its cutting quality emphasized by great electric guitar-playing from both George and John. The band looked fantastic too, in hipster suits and dark glasses. Pound for pound and song for song, Revolver is as good as it gets, a real monster.

A team consisting of some of the best producers and engineers in the recording industry were brought together and would spend 4 long years mixing and mastering with some of the most state of the art recording equipment. Pure McCartney (Box Set)

Pure McCartney, a new compilation of his solo, Wings and Fireman work, celebrates that fact, showcasing 67 highlights from one of the most-revered catalogues in music - from 'McCartney' in 1970, his debut solo album, right through to 'Hope For The Future', his 2014 track taken from 'Destiny', the most-anticipated video game of the last decade. Not only is 'Pure McCartney' a monumental mix tape of some of popular music's most memorable moments from 1970 to the present day, it also features curios for the super fans and some of Paul's personal favourites-all handpicked by the man himself.

Me and my team came up with the idea of putting together a collection of my recordings with nothing else in mind other than having something fun to listen to, Paul says of this project.

Maybe it's to be enjoyed on a long car journey or an evening at home or at a party with friends? So we got our heads together and came up with these diverse playlists from various periods of my long and winding career."

As a songwriter Paul has never stood still, dipping his toe in countless genres and styles. 'Pure McCartney' is testament to that fact. From the song writing master class of 'Maybe I'm Amazed' and adventurous, three-songs-in-one of 'Band On The Run' to the irresistible groove of 'Say Say Say' and ahead-of-its-time electronica of 'Temporary Secretary', described by NME when compiling a list of the greatest ever songs as not so much ahead of its time, but out of it altogether", 'Pure McCartney' charts the unstoppable adventures of McCartney's unique and eclectic song writing talents and shines a light on his post-Beatles artistic achievements.

The word 'career' is a bit misleading because to me it has been more like a musical adventure than a proper job, says Paul, reflecting on the 'Pure McCartney' tracklisting. It pleases me, and often amazes me, that I've been involved in the writing and recording of so many songs, each of them so different from the others.

Paul's unparalleled career has seen his music break global chart records, win countless awards, fill stadiums around the world and become the soundtrack to millions of people's lives across generations.

    Beatles For Sale (Awaiting Repress)

Sourced From the Original Master Tapes

    Pressed on 180 Gram Vinyl

    Cut at Abbey Road Studios

The Beatles for sale is the fourth Studio Album from The Beatles. After Lennon met Bob Dylan on tour, an influence immediatley swept him over and crept into his song writing. A good example of this are the songs, I Don't Want To Spoil The Party and I'm a Loser, This album also has the band back to doing a slew of covers due to there rigorous touring schedule but still being able to create great compositions like I Feel Fine and its B-side, She's a Woman, which for some reason were not included on the album.

Being at the height of Beatlemania and the forth Beatles record in 21 months, most of the song writing and production were done either in the studio or on days off from performances, with the bulk of the album being done in about three weeks. When finally released on December 4th, 1964, it began a 46-week long run in the charts knocking there last album off the top of the charts for seven weeks.

Two Classic Everly Brothers Albums Pressed On A Single 180-Gram Vinyl LP

While the Everlys' sound was diluted by more elaborate production in the '60s, that's not at all true on this LP, which is one of their very best. Included are six stellar contributions by Boudleaux Bryant and Felice Bryant (particularly "Some Sweet Day," "Sleepless Nights," and "You Thrill Me (Through and Through)"), one of Don Everly's best compositions ("So Sad"), and incredible harmony singing throughout. On 'A Date With The Everly Brothers' there are some very fine songs. Particularly good are the smash hit "Cathy's Clown," their raucous cover of Little Richard's "Lucille," "Love Hurts" (which preceded Roy Orbison's hit version), and "So How Come" (covered by the Beatles in 1963).

Remastered From The Original Analog Tapes And Acetate

Booklet Includes In-Depth Interview With Buckley's Lyricist Larry Beckett

In 1967, the face of rock was changing. In that year alone there were debut albums from The Velvet Underground, The Doors, and Pink Floyd, to name a few. The Beatles had combined orchestration with their music-the result was Sgt. Peppers in June, the same month that Tim Buckley recorded Goodbye & Hello.

Buckley was no longer just another singer-songwriter with an acoustic guitar; he was drenched in acid-folk tinges of harpsichord and harmonium. Lyricist Larry Beckett embellished Tim's songs with introspective lyrics at times, worldly views at others. It was the first major triumph for Tim as an album artist, partially because there were a remarkable amount of pre-production demos that led to it.

Available here for the first time are these newly discovered master tapes, recorded by Goodbye & Hello's producer Jerry Yester, along with an ultra-rare acetate, found to be in co-songwriter (and best friend) Beckett's possession.

Of the 13 previously unreleased solo acoustic songs contained here, six of them did eventually appear with more expansive instrumentation on Goodbye & Hello (along with another four not included here). However, the crown jewel of this package is seven never-before-heard compositions. These will be new to even the most devoted Buckley fan. Arguably, two of them crept out decades after Tim's death (albeit, much different recordings than what you have here) but with little fanfare.

So much has been written about Tim Buckley but so little of it by people who actually knew him. This booklet, however, includes a detailed interview with both Larry Beckett and Jerry Yester, providing real insight on how these recordings came to be and attempting to uncover the man behind all the myths, the real Tim Buckley.

Several rarities releases in the 1980s and '90s shed light on his talent, especially the live recordings, but all of the studio material has generally been alternative versions of songs that fans already knew-until now. This is the first-ever posthumous release that reveals a wealth of previously unreleased and unheard tracks from Tim at the peak of his career. In short, you need this!

All Analogue Master From The Original Master Tapes

Assembling a compilation of the Beatles is a difficult task, not only because they had an enormous number of hits, but also because singles didn't tell the full story; many of their album tracks were as important as the singles, if not more so. The double-album 1962-1966, commonly called The Red Album, does the job surprisingly well, hitting most of the group's major early hits and adding important album tracks like You've Got to Hide Your Love Away, Drive My Car, Norwegian Wood, and In My Life. Naturally, there are many great songs missing from the 26-track 1962-1966, and perhaps it would have made more sense to include the Revolver cuts on its companion volume, 1967-1970, yet The Red Album captures the essence of the Beatles' pre-Sgt. Pepper records.

Yellow Submarine (7 Inch Picture Disc)

Universal Music and Apple Corps will issue a special anniversary seven-inch picture disc of The Beatles' 1966 single Yellow Submarine.

This celebrates the anniversary of the release of the original animated film which is 50 years old this year and is returning to the big screen for a special 'one-day cinema event' on 8 July.

The actual single is almost 52 years old and was issued in August 1966 as the follow up to Paperback Writer. It reached number one in the UK and most other territories, although interestingly it 'only' peaked at number two in the USA.

The B-side, Eleanor Rigby, also features memorably in the Yellow Submarine film and both songs feature on The Beatles' seventh album, Revolver, which was released around the same time as the original single

This new seven-inch vinyl picture disc comes in a die-cut sleeve.

'Sgt. Pepper' Presented with New Mixes in Stereo and 5.1 Surround Audio; Expanded with Previously Unreleased Session Recordings, Video Features & Special Packaging

Previously Unreleased 1992 Documentary Film, 'The Making of Sgt. Pepper,' Restored for Anniversary Edition's Super Deluxe Boxed Set

Ranked 1/500 On Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time!

It was 50 years ago this June 1st when The Beatles' John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr astonished and delighted the world, ushering in the Summer of Love with Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, a groundbreaking masterwork that became popular music's most universally acclaimed album. To salute the occasion, The Beatles will release a lavishly presented 'Sgt. Pepper' Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition Box Set (4 CD/1 DVD/1 Blu-ray). The album is newly mixed by Giles Martin and Sam Okell in stereo and 5.1 surround audio and expanded with early takes from the studio sessions, including no fewer than 34 previously unreleased recordings.

"It's crazy to think that 50 years later we are looking back on this project with such fondness and a little bit of amazement at how four guys, a great producer and his engineers could make such a lasting piece of art," says Paul McCartney in his newly-penned introduction for the 'Sgt. Pepper' Anniversary Edition.

"'Sgt. Pepper' seemed to capture the mood of that year, and it also allowed a lot of other people to kick off from there and to really go for it," Ringo Starr recalls in the Anniversary Edition's book.

The Beatles' "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Penny Lane," were among the first songs recorded during the 'Sgt. Pepper' sessions, which began in November 1966. Rather than being held for inclusion on the album, the two songs were released as a double A-sided single in February 1967. Amidst intense media speculation about the band's next move, the single bridged what was then considered a long gap between the Revolver album, released in August 1966, and 'Sgt. Pepper,' which followed 10 months later.

This is the first time Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band has been remixed and presented with additional session recordings, and it is the first Beatles album to be remixed and expanded since the 2003 release of Let It Be Naked. To create the new stereo and 5.1 surround audio mixes for 'Sgt. Pepper,' producer Giles Martin and mix engineer Sam Okell worked with an expert team of engineers and audio restoration specialists at Abbey Road Studios in London. All of the Anniversary Edition releases include Martin's new stereo mix of the album, which was sourced directly from the original four-track session tapes and guided by the original, Beatles-preferred mono mix produced by his father, George Martin.

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition includes:

    • CD 1: New stereo album mix
    • CDs 2 & 3:

      - 33 additional recordings from the studio sessions, most previously unreleased and mixed for the first time from the four-track session tapes, sequenced in chronological order of their recording dates

      - A new stereo mix of "Penny Lane" and the 2015 stereo mix of "Strawberry Fields Forever"
    • CD 4:

      - Direct transfers of the album's original mono mix and the "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Penny Lane" singles

      - Capitol Records' U.S. promotional mono single mix of "Penny Lane"

      - Previously unreleased early mono mixes of "She's Leaving Home," "A Day In The Life," and "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" (a mix thought to have been erased from a tape in 1967, but discovered during archive research for the anniversary edition)
    • Discs 5 & 6 (Blu-ray and DVD):

      - New 5.1 surround audio mixes of the album and "Penny Lane" by Giles Martin and Sam Okell, plus their 2015 5.1 surround mix of "Strawberry Fields Forever"

      - High resolution audio versions of the new stereo mixes of the album and "Penny Lane" and of the 2015 stereo mix of "Strawberry Fields Forever"

      - Video features: 4K restored original promotional films for "Strawberry Fields Forever," "Penny Lane," and "A Day In The Life;" plus The Making of Sgt. Pepper, a restored, previously unreleased documentary film (broadcast in 1992), featuring insightful interviews with McCartney, Harrison, and Starr, and in-studio footage introduced by George Martin.

"A splendid time is guaranteed for all"

The album's vibrant artwork, including its extravagant Pop Art cover which finds The Beatles surrounded by a crowd of heroes in a 3D collage, was created by Peter Blake and Jann Haworth in collaboration with the band. The original artwork is showcased across the suite of Anniversary Edition releases, including the album's pull-out sheet of 'Sgt. Pepper' cutouts. Housed in a 12-inch by 12-inch box with lenticular artwork and two bonus posters, the six-disc Super Deluxe set is presented with a 144-page hardcover book. The book includes new introductions by Paul McCartney and Giles Martin, and chapters covering comprehensive song-by-song details and recording information, the design of the cover, the album's musical innovations and its historical context by Beatles historian, author and radio producer Kevin Howlett; composer and musicologist Howard Goodall; music producer and writer Joe Boyd; and journalists Ed Vulliamy and Jeff Slate, illustrated with rare photographs, reproductions of handwritten lyrics, Abbey Road Studios documentation, and original 'Sgt. Pepper' print ads.

    - "We hope you will enjoy the show"

Just as many ideas are sparked by chance, 'Sgt. Pepper' first sprang from a conversation between Paul and Beatles roadie Mal Evans on an airplane, when Mal's request to pass the salt and pepper was misheard by Paul as "Sgt. Pepper." The concept of who such a figure could be took root in Paul's mind, blooming with the imagination of The Beatles as an Edwardian era military band -- "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band." The Beatles' creative wellspring for 'Sgt. Pepper' also flowed from such myriad sources as The Beach Boys' Pet Sounds album, a Victorian circus poster ("Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite!"), a TV commercial for breakfast cereal ("Good Morning Good Morning"), a picture drawn by John's young son, Julian ("Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds"), a teen runaway reported in the news ("She's Leaving Home'), and Hindu teachings ("Within You Without You").

"Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song"

Using the standard four-track tape recording equipment of the day, The Beatles collaborated with producer George Martin to achieve "the impossible," as they dubbed it, to go as far out as they could with arrangements and new technology to realize their collective vision for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. As George Martin described it, "We were into another kind of art form where you were putting something down on tape that could only be done on tape." The Beatles clocked more than 400 hours in Abbey Road's Studio 2 to record the album, wrapping sessions in April 1967.

"I read the news today oh boy"

Upon its release on June 1, 1967, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band initially spent 148 weeks in the British chart, including a total of 27 weeks at number one. During its first U.S. chart run, the album held the number one spot for 15 of the 88 weeks it appeared in the Top 200. 'Sgt. Pepper' won four GRAMMY Awards®, including Album of the Year, and it remains one of the most influential and bestselling albums of all time. In 2003, the U.S. Library of Congress selected 'Sgt. Pepper' for the National Recording Registry, recognizing the album as "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." 'Sgt. Pepper' tops Rolling Stone magazine's definitive list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time."

Sourced From the Original Master Tapes

    Pressed on 180 gram vinyl

    Cut at Abbey Road Studios

The soundtrack to The Beatles' animated film of the same name, Yellow Submarine presents four new Beatles tracks recorded between 1967 and early 1968. In addition, George Martin's score for the film rounds out the effort. While not considered a "proper" album, Yellow Submarine contains many memorable moments-George Harrison's psychedelic "Only a Northern Song," peppered with organ and candid sentiments, and "It's All Too Much," carried on the shoulders of a mesmerizing Mellotron, gigantic percussion, and titanic guitar feedback.

With the Beatles is a sequel of the highest order -- one that betters the original by developing its own tone and adding depth. While it may share several similarities with its predecessor -- there is an equal ratio of covers-to-originals, a familiar blend of girl group, Motown, R&B, pop, and rock, and a show tune that interrupts the flow of the album -- With the Beatles is a better record that not only rocks harder, it's considerably more sophisticated. They could deliver rock & roll straight (I Wanna Be Your Man) or twist it around with a little Latin lilt (Little Child, one of their most underrated early rockers); Lennon and McCartney wrote sweet ballads (the achingly gorgeous All I've Got to Do) and sprightly pop/rockers (All My Loving) with equal aplomb; and the propulsive rockers (It Won't Be Long) were as richly melodic as slower songs (Not a Second Time).

Let It Be is the last album to be recorded and released by The Beatles. The band had broken up before the album was released and it was initially met with mixed feelings. Many tried to blame Phil Spectors involvement, but the accompanying film showed the band members friction as a leading cause to the albums incoherence. Despite friction and the groups break up, the album earned the top spot on both the American and British record charts and many still consider it a classic.

    How Glad I Am

Nancy Wilson was one of the biggest stars of the 1960s; until the Beatles came along, she was the biggest-selling artist on the Capitol Records roster. The title track of the singles collection How Glad I Am was Wilson's biggest hit of the era and won a Grammy in 1964. While How Glad I Am is a tart, country-flavored soul number, the album also features Wilson doing vocal pop, jazz-blues (the juicy, Hammond B-3-filled West Coast Blues is the set's best number), R&B, and bossa nova. - Nick Dedina (AllMusic)
