Shake Your Money Maker (Awaiting Repress)Originally released in 1990, the debut record from Atlanta, GA's Black Crowes is pure rock and roll swagger in the mold of the Rolling Stones and the Faces. Featuring 9 originals and their Top 40 cover of Otis Redding's Hard To Handle, Shake Your Money Maker established the Crowes as the 1990s finest Southern Rock band with solid songwriting and the killer duo of the brothers Robinson on vocals and guitar.1. AmoricaOn Amorica, the Black Crowes finally come into their own, taking their cue from the most relaxed, groove-oriented tracks on their previous album. While the album contains no immediately obvious singles, the songs are the best the band has ever written, stretching out into a hard, jam-oriented, funky blues-rock. the Black Crowes' influences are still discernible -- no band celebrates the glory days of rock culture quite as enthusiastically -- but they use the music of the Stones, the Faces, and Little Feat much the same way the Stones used the music of Chuck Berry: it's a starting point that leads the band into a new direction, incorporating different musical genres, and making the music original. That sense of reinterpretation is what keeps Amorica fresh.

MescalitoA vagabond spirit permeates these tales of truck stops, tip jars, boxcars, and love left behind, with a slide guitar punctuating arrangements that range from acoustic folk to classic rock (amid hints of the Rolling Stones, Neil Young's Crazy Horse, and a young Tom Waits). Yet ultimately, the impressive debut by this Southwestern, raspy-voiced troubadour is more than the sum of its songs, as the sequencing almost amounts to a narrative of life on the road, with the world-weary, end-of-the-line Long Way from Georgia and Ever Wonder Why, leading to the renewal of Sunrise. Former Black Crowes guitarist Marc Ford produced and provides multi-instrumental support, with Texas honky-tonk legend Terry Allen offering guest vocals and piano on Ghost of Travelin' Jones.1. The Best Of Crow
Pure Rock N' Roll From The Midwest On 180 Gram Vinyl!
With a lowdown bass lick, uptown R&B horns and surging organ punctuating a catchy chorus, "Evil Woman (Don't Play Your Games With Me)" hit the Top 20 like a comet in 1969 and propelled Crow from Midwest club band into national touring act overnight. Thanks in part to covers by Black Sabbath and Ike and Tina Turner, it's one of the most recognizable hits of the era and, inexplicably, one of the few to not make the transition into the digital age. Until now.
Out of print for four decades, Crow's finest recordings are now available again on CD and 180-gram vinyl editions meticulously mastered from the original tapes. Long-suffering Crow fans can at last savor the best of the band's gritty run from 1969-1971, including not only "Evil Woman," but their other charting singles "Cottage Cheese," "Slow Down" and "(Don't Try to Lay No Boogie Woogie on the) King of Rock & Roll" -- not to mention deep album cuts like "Keeps Me Running." Both formats also feature a previously unreleased demo cover of the Beatles' "When I Get Home," and the CD edition adds a previously unreleased long version of "Cottage Cheese." The Southern Harmony And Musical CompanionThe addition of the more technically gifted guitarist Marc Ford and a full-time organist gives the Black Crowes room to stretch out on The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion, perhaps the band's finest moment. Using Rich Robinson's descending chord progressions as a base, the band grooves its way through a remarkably fresh-sounding collection of Faces-like rockers and ballads, tearing into the material with flair and confidence and really coming into its own as a top-notch rock & roll outfit. But while the focus is undeniably on the band's musical chemistry, Southern Harmony also boasts a strong collection of songs, striking a perfect balance between the concise Shake Your Money Maker and their later, more jam-oriented records. While there aren't as many obvious singles as on their debut album, The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion is the best expression of the Crowes' ability to take a classic, tried-and-true sound and make it their own.

Condolences (Gray w/Black Splatter)Pressed On Gray Vinyl With Black Splatter
A grimly glamorous ghoul who first slithered from the cobwebbed shadows of Charlotte, North Carolina, in the early 90s, WEDNESDAY 13 has firmly established himself as the world's premier purveyor of balls-out horror punk insanity. With a vivid and vile imagination that has endeared him to countless fans of riff-driven macabre over the last two decades, he has been one of rock's most prolific protagonists, spreading his credo of grave-robbing rock 'n' roll and Hallowe'en debauchery around the globe and unleashing a seemingly endless stream of blood-spattered albums and EPs.
"All my favorite stuff, like KISS and ALICE COOPER and TWISTED SISTER, those guys set the bar pretty high," he states. "I always wanted to do something in the worlds of those bands. That's the blueprint. It had to be as outrageous and crazy as that and I wanted to be on someone's wall one day and have their parents say 'Oh my god, what is that?' The formula's still there from when I started doing it as a kid and started wanting to be in a band. It's just GI Joe and Dracula!"
After several years of sharpening his creative teeth, WEDNESDAY 13 emerged from the fetid crypt of obscurity with his band FRANKENSTEIN DRAG QUEENS FROM PLANET 13, those masters of snotty schlock rock that released an astonishing five studio albums and six EPs between 1996 and 2002. Always the leader of the revolting pack, WEDNESDAY 13 then became a bona fide international rock star as frontman for the MURDERDOLLS, his collaboration with SLIPKNOT's Joey Jordison. The band took the world by storm, with Europe and the UK, in particular, succumbing to the feral charms of 2002 debut album, »Beyond The Valley Of The Murderdolls«; a raucous eruption of big tunes and bad attitude that noisily redefined the horror punk genre. After MURDERDOLLS went on an extended hiatus in 2004, WEDNESDAY 13 embarked on a widely lauded solo career that again provided him with an outlet for his relentless outpouring of fiendish musical and lyrical ideas. Albums like »Transylvania 90210« (released by Roadrunner in 2005), »Fang Bang« and »Skeletons« all cemented our pallid hero's reputation as the bastard son of ALICE COOPER and THE MISFITS, while his outlaw country project, BOURBON CROW and one-off glam metal vehicle, GUNFIRE 76 proved that he had sufficient versatility to survive outside the graveyard and abattoir.
MURDERDOLLS reconvened in 2010 for the vicious »Women And Children Last« album and another successful world tour before disappearing once more into the freezing midnight fog, leaving WEDNESDAY to revive his solo career with a few thousand volts of wicked electricity yet more highly praised albums and tours including 2014's scintillating acoustic opus »Undead Unplugged« and the following year's thunderous »Monsters Of The Universe: Come Out & Plague«. However, absolutely nothing that WEDNESDAY has created in the past has even touched upon the horrifying potency and allure of his brand new studio album, »Condolences«.
Frustrated with the arduous process of releasing his own music, our favorite black-hearted freak has thrown himself and his music into a whirling maelstrom of reinvention. The result is not just the heaviest and most authentically disturbing record of the great man's career but also a huge creative leap forward, neatly encapsulated by the new album's simple and direct title.
"It's more of a serious WEDNESDAY 13 record, I guess," he says. "The campiness has gone and it's taken a darker vibe. It's definitely not in the camp, sleazy world anymore. The band is visually stronger and that's taken things to a new level. Normally my album titles are parodies of something, like »Women And Children Last«, that's a VAN HALEN album title gone wrong! (laughs) So I wanted to make sure that this record came across as a brand new version of WEDNESDAY 13."
In musical terms, »Condolences« showcases WEDNESDAY's growing obsession with the world of heavy metal and its endless possibilities for exploring tales of horror and violence. Produced by renowned studio guru Zeuss, new songs like anthemic first single 'What The Night Brings' and the pile-driving 'Blood Sick' still exhibit a dash of B-movie weirdness and are full of WEDNESDAY's trademark twisted lyrics, but where previous albums were rooted in the worlds of punk rock and glam metal, »Condolences« is a full-on modern metal record with gigantic balls and the attitude to match. From the glowering menace of 'Good Riddance' to the grandiose hellishness of the album's 7-minute title track, it's living, breathing, murdering proof that the WEDNESDAY 13 of 2017 means business. And business is mean.
"The punk rock vibe has left the building and it's become a full-on metal vibe," WEDNESDAY agrees. "I've been the horror-punk guy for years, but this is horror metal. It's just evolution. Over the last ten years, I've become a metalhead for the most part. That second MURDERDOLLS record just amped the whole thing up, and the guys in the band have influenced me with so much other stuff. It's not just me with my SEX PISTOLS, ALICE COOPER and RAMONES records anymore! (laughs) Now I've got my band incorporating everything from death metal to rock'n'roll. It's all across the boards. There are no rules. We can do whatever we want, whatever fits."
Manifestly the strongest, heaviest and most individual album of his lengthy career, »Condolences« promises to push WEDNESDAY 13 into heavy music's upper echelons once again. With determined plans to tour relentlessly in support of the new record, the future is looking dark, dangerous, exhilarating and wildly, unapologetically theatrical.
"It's non-stop touring once the record comes out," WEDNESDAY concludes. "We just did our first video for 'What The Night Brings' and the visuals are really cool. I've incorporated a lot of stuff I've been doing live, like this devil character I've been transforming into at shows, and that got worked in. We're taking the music, the imagery and the entire stage show up a level. It's gonna be a full-on theatrical stage production, so I'll be busy as fuck on stage! I've been doing this shit for so many years, I started thinking 'How can I make this fun again?' (laughs)"1. Last Rites

Acid TongueJenny Lewis Acid Tongue on 2LP + CD Set!
Vinyl Pressed at RTI!
Femme fatale Jenny Lewis has never sounded so passionate and her songs never so hard-hitting and acerbic as on her aptly titled sophomore solo release, 2008's Acid Tongue. The album follows 2006s well received Rabbit Fur Coat and a series of acclaimed albums with Rilo Kiley. Featuring collaborations with She & Him and guest appearances by Elvis Costello and Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes, Acid Tongue proves to be a can't miss release.
This vinyl package features two standard weight black-vinyl discs produced and pressed at RTI in a double-gatefold jacket with a bonus CD in a paper sleeve. The discs contain three sides of audio and a special etching on the fourth side.
Lewis is indie rock's most sharp-elbowed songwriter, a crafter of taut meditations on love, sex and politics that are full of violent emotions and, occasionally, plain old violence. There's plenty of storminess on her excellent second solo album, whose songs mix muscular guitar rock (The Next Messiah) with soul balladeering (Sing a Song for Them) and chamber pop (Black Sand). --Jody Rosen, Rolling Stone, October 2, 20081. Trigger HippyTrigger Hippy is a rock band with jam & R&B elements formed by Black Crowes drummer and co-founder Steve Gorman. Multi-platinum recording artist
Joan Osborne - of the Tope 5 single "One Of Us." Also spent time singing for The Dead. Singer-guitarist-keyboardist Jackie Greene who joined The Black
Crowes in later years and also spent time with Phil Lesh & Friends, Gov't Mule, Los Lobos, Taj Mahal, Susan Tedeschi as well as a host of others. Award-winning session players Tom Bukovac (Guitarist) and Nick Govrik (Bassist.)
You can see this as a 'player's band', explains co-founder Steve Gorman, who also co-founded The Black Crowes, but it really is a band, in the true
sense of that word. Vocals are shared by multi-platinum singer Joan Osborne and veteran recording artist Jackie Greene. Rounding out the band are
lead guitarist Tom Bukovac and bassist Nick Govrik, who wrote many of the band's songs.
The Nashville-based quintet's debut album on Rounder Records draws on the strengths of all five, both individually and collectively, and showcases
influences and inspiration from Memphis soul to rock, country and blues. One can sense The Band here, and Little Feat, some Led Zeppelin, and a tent
revival; a full palette. Gorman rightly calls it a rock band that can jam.1. Turpentine

ADAD-NET-0914xOld Crow Medicine Show
Deluxe Vinyl Gatefold Package Includes Bonus Red Colored 7" Vinyl
Featuring The Platinum Single "Wagon Wheel" Plus Two Previously Unreleased Tracks
Two-time Grammy Award winners and Grand Ole Opry members Old Crow Medicine Show release Best Of, which features
12 of the most memorable and beloved songs from O.C.M.S. (2004), Big Iron World (2006), Tennessee Pusher (2008) - as well
as two previously unreleased tracks: "Black Haired Quebecoise" and "Heart Up In The Sky." The album will be made
available on vinyl, a format on which none of these songs are currently available and many have never been.
Over the past 15 years, Old Crow Medicine Show has cultivated a diverse fan base that thrives on the band's energetic
performances. They have earned the respect of both their peers and influences while also influencing the new guard of
folk rock revivalists. While trends have come and gone, Old Crow Medicine Show continues to be a strong and steady
force in roots music. The Best Of is a nostalgic walk down memory lane for those who have been with the band since
the beginning, and a nice overview for those fans who have only discovered the band recently.
Old Crow Medicine Show got their start by busking on street corners up and down the east coast and Canada, eventually
catching the attention of folk icon Doc Watson while playing in front of a pharmacy in Boone, North Carolina. He invited
them to play Merlefest and helped set the course of their successful career.
Similarly, just a few years later, Nettwerk discovered the band by crashing a house party in Nashville. The band was signed
shortly after, and in 2004, Nettwerk released O.C.M.S., which featured the now Platinum-selling anthem "Wagon Wheel," one
of the most covered recordings in recent history, most famously by Darius Rucker who got the track to #1 on the Hot Country
Songs chart in 2013.
Old Crow Medicine Show has won over audiences across the world with their boundless energy and spirit, playing renowned
festivals like Bonnaroo, Coachella, New Orleans Jazz Fest, the Newport Folk Festival, and many more. They've also shared
the stage with such artists as Mumford & Sons, The Lumineers, Willie Nelson, John Prine and The Avett Brothers and others.
The Best Of features "Wagon Wheel" along with other live show fan favorites like "Tell It To Me," "Down Home Girl," "CC Rider"
and "I Hear Them All." The two previously unreleased tracks, "Black Haired Quebecoise" and "Heart Up in the Sky" were

The American guitarist, singer and songwriter Gary Lourdis was founding member of the Minneapolis-based band The Jayhawks and their principal songwriter and vocalist after the departure of Mark Olson. He eventually was responsible for moving the band from folk-country towards a more progressive, pop sound. The band formed in 1985 in Minneapolis and appeared on Letterman in 2003, performing "Save It For A Rainy Day," off their Rainy Day Music album. They recorded seven albums for Columbia before going on hiatus in 2005. The band briefly reunited in 2011 for a new album and tour only to return to a hiatus when Olson left again in 2012.
Louris' additional credits include being a member of the intermittent Midwest collective, Golden Smog that recorded two albums on Rykodisc and two albums on Lost Highway from 1995 to 2007, as well as co-writing "Jealous of Moon" with Chris Thile in 2005-the song appeared on the Nickel Creek album Why Should The Fire Die?-and songs for the 2008 Dixie Chicks album Taking The Long Way.
In 2008, Rykodisc released Gary's first solo album Vagabonds. The album was produced by Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson. In an interview, Louris was quoted as saying," It wasn't my intention to recapture the '70s or anything, that's just what comes out when I sing .Once we got the band together for the sessions, it actually reminded me of how The Jayhawks were when we started out. The music is new and exciting for them, and it was good for me to feed off of that." Vagabonds was recorded in Laurel Canyon, which is famous for being the center of the 1970s singer-songwriter scene, and is expanded here with bonus material from the sessions-many making their debut to vinyl, and others new to any physical formatLP 1

J Roddy Walston & The BusinessNot too many bands would move to Baltimore, MD in search of their big break -- as the city's most famous citizen, John Waters, once put it, No one moves here -- and fewer still would consider making the jump to Charm City from Chattanooga, TN. But J. Roddy Walston and the Business are clearly not your average rock & roll band, and after listening to their self-titled second album (and first for Vagrant Records), this trajectory actually makes some sense. The band's music suggests a meeting of the minds between the Deep South and the East Coast -- Walston's raw, twangy vocals and rollicking piano style and Billy C. Gordon's thick guitar lines cut with sharp interjections of slide, could both come straight from a Tennessee roadhouse, but the heavy stomp of Logan Davis' bass and Steve Colmus' drums is all-beef, no-filler hard rock stomp, the stuff of guys who've spent half their life trying to perfect Led Zeppelin's glorious thud and are within spitting distance of catching it. Put these two sides together, have them spend a few hundred nights playing bars where they struggle to be heard over flying beer bottles and shouts for more bourbon, and you could get something a lot like J. Roddy Walston and the Business.
These ten songs have swagger to spare, but there's little in the way of crowd-pleasing gestures; this band is here to rock but you have to take or leave them on their own terms, and the material is strong enough that plenty of listeners are likely to climb aboard for the ride. Whether they're living on the edge in Brave Man's Death, sharing tales of unsatisfying lovers in Pigs and Pearls, or mixing risky metaphors in Don't Break the Needle, J. Roddy Walston and the Business are a real-deal, roots-conscious hard rock band in an era when such things are believed to have gone the way of the 8-track tape. Picture a band that captures the lean and glorious Southern arrogance of the early Black Crowes and the FTW attitude of Appetite for Destruction-era Guns N' Roses -- all without obviously lifting licks from either act -- and you get one enjoyably butt-kicking surprise of an album.

TenRanked 207/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
Ten, the debut album that sold 12 million copies and introduced the world to Pearl Jam in 1991, is now being reissued in four new and expanded editions. The reissue of Ten serves as the launch of a planned two-year catalog re-release campaign leading up to the bands 20th anniversary in 2011.
This edition of Ten is packaged on two vinyl LPs and includes two versions of the album: the remastered version of the original album plus an accompanying remixed version done by the bands long-time producer, Brendan OBrien (Bruce Springsteen, AC/DC, Audioslave).
The band loved the original mix of Ten, but were also interested in what it would sound like if I were to deconstruct and remix it, says producer Brendan OBrien. The original Ten sound is what millions of people bought, dug and loved, so I was initially hesitant to mess around with that. After years of persistent nudging from the band, I was able to wrap my head around the idea of offering it as a companion piece to the original, giving a fresh take on it, a more direct sound.
Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament, who served as the art director for the original Ten packaging, reprised his role for the reissues collaborating with designer, Andy Fischer, of Cameron Crowes Vinyl Films (Into the Wild soundtrack LP, Vanilla Sky soundtrack LP, Harold and Maude anniversary edition soundtrack LP). The goal was to assemble the ultimate fan-piece, explains Fischer. Something Pearl Jam lovers could pore over as they experience an indelible record all over again, in an entirely new way.
Pearl Jam originally released Ten on August 27, 1991. The album reached #2 on the Billboard 200 chart, sold over 12 million copies and became one of the cultural touchstones of the '90s. Songs such as Alive, Black, Even Flow and Jeremy became staples of rock radio, and still make frequent appearances on the bands ever-changing concert setlists. The album was produced by Rick Parasher. Pearl Jams 1991 lineup was Jeff Ament (bass), Stone Gossard (guitar), Dave Krusen (drums), Mike McCready (guitar) and Eddie Vedder (vocals).LP 1: Original Ten Tracklisting Remastered for Vinyl

Gene Clark Sings For You
Produced For Release By Grammy®-Winner, Cheryl Pawelski
Restoration And Mastering By Grammy-Winner, Michael Graves
Liner Notes By John Einarson, Author Of Mr. Tambourine Man: The Life And Legacy Of The Byrds' Gene Clark (Backbeat Books)
Features Previously Unseen Photos.
Gene Clark's musical legacy is most certainly assured as a singer, songwriter
and member of some exclusive company as an inductee to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a founder of The
Byrds, and collaborator in groups such as Dillard & Clark, Gene Clark and the Gosdin Brothers, McGuinn
Clark & Hillman and later as the duet partner of Carla Olson (The Textones).
His songs have been covered by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Iain Matthews, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, The
Rose Garden, and Chris & Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes among many others. As well documented as Clark's career
has been, there have been remarkable discoveries over the years (see Omnivore's Here Tonight: The White Light Demos for example),
but now the Holy Grail of Clark's post-Byrds career is finally about to see the light of day:
"For longtime Gene Clark fans and aficionados, the tracks on this remarkable archival CD are the stuff of legend. Since word
first spread in the 1980s about the discovery of these 1967 recordings on a rare acetate in Liberty Records' vaults, fans have
come to regard Gene Clark Sings For You as nothing less than the Holy Grail of the singer/songwriter's extraordinary body of
work. Shrouded in mystery and the subject of much speculation and conjecture, few have ever had the opportunity to hear these
forgotten gems from one of Gene Clark's most prolifically creative periods. Until now."
Author of Mr. Tambourine Man: The Life And Legacy Of The Byrds' Gene Clark (Backbeat Books)
In addition to the 8 tracks from the Gene Clark Sings For You acetate, recorded in 1967 after he famously left The Byrds, there are an
additional 5 previously unknown tracks from a further 1967 acetate given to the band, The Rose Garden, for recording consideration.
This new compilation also includes a previously unissued demo rescued from a tape in the collection of John Noreen, member of
The Rose Garden. This demo of the song "Till Today" is Clark running through the song for the band who would cut it on their only
album, the 1968 self-titled effort on Atco Records (also being reissued and expanded at the same time as Gene Clark Sings For You).
Released with the full approval and cooperation with both the Estate of Gene Clark and the band, The Rose Garden, Gene Clark Sings

Stan Getz / Cal Tjader Sextet
This Newly Reissued Vinyl Addition Is A 'Must Have' Title For For Both Getz And Tjader Fans.
In the vein of many a smooth West Coast jazz outing, this 1958 disc finds original cool stylist Getz paired with vibraphonist Cal Tjader on a very enjoyable
selection of jazz standards and Tjader originals. The lineup includes pianist Vince Guaraldi, guitarist Eddie Duran, bassist Scott La Faro, and drummer
Billy Higgins (this was one of the earliest record dates for either La Faro or Higgins, both of whom were playing with Getz at San Francisco's Black Hawk
in between recording sessions). Guaraldi's spry Ginza Samba kicks thing off with nimble and imaginative statements by all the soloists. Tjader's
swinging originals Crow's Nest and Big Bear provide prime solo vehicles as well, while his lovely waltz number Liz-Anne adds some nice contrast to
the set, eliciting one of Getz's best solos in the process. The group rounds things out with fine ballad readings of I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face
and For All We Know.
Stan Getz: one of the all-time great tenor saxophonists
Cal Tjader: The legendary percussionist who is often linked to the development of Latin rock and acid jazz. Although fusing jazz with Latin music is often
categorized as Latin jazz (or, earlier, Afro-Cuban jazz), Tjader's output swung freely between both styles.1. Ginza Samba

AnchorsFeaturing Special Guest Sheryl Crow On Little Bit Of Rust
"I hit a wall," says Will Hoge. "I was doing the best touring of my career and I had a great, steady gig writing songs, but I was falling out of love with being in a band. I had to figure out what was next."
For Hoge, what came next was a quest to reclaim the joy and the magic that had drawn him to music in the first place. He let his band go and hit the road for roughly a year of solo shows, crisscrossing the country by himself with just a guitar and a keyboard. He felt rejuvenated by the freedom and began writing material that reenergized him, that made him feel like a kid falling in love with rock and roll all over again. Those songs ignited a dormant flame somewhere deep within his soul, and now they form the bulk of Anchors, his strongest and most nuanced album to date.
Recorded with an all-star band comprised of drummer Jerry Roe (Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell, Darius Rucker), bassist Dominic Davis (Jack White, Wanda Jackson), and guitarists Brad Rice (Son Volt, Ryan Adams) and Thom Donovan (Lapush, Ruby Amanfu), the album is a prime showcase for Hoge's soaring, gritty vocals, as well as his remarkable gift for crafting complex characters with real emotional depth and plainspoken profundity. Over the course of eleven tracks (including one with special guest Sheryl Crow), Hoge weaves elements of vintage country, literate folk, and heartland rock into a passionate, genre-busting masterpiece, one that offers an unflinching portrait of the messy challenges of adulthood and the ways in which we persevere (or don't) through hard times.
Beginning with the release of his acclaimed 2001 debut, Carousel, Hoge established himself as a masterful songwriter and performer as well as a critical favorite, with Rolling Stone comparing him to Bob Seger and John Mellencamp and NPR praising his "sharp, smart, passionate rock 'n' roll that seems to exist out of time." He built up a loyal fanbase the old fashioned way, maintaining a steady studio output and a relentless touring schedule of more than 200 shows a year, including bills with the likes of My Morning Jacket, the Black Crowes, and Drive-By Truckers, in addition to festival slots from Bonnaroo to Austin City Limits. In 2012, the Eli Young Band hit #1 on the Billboard Country chart with their Platinum-selling recording of Hoge's song "Even If It Breaks Your Heart," earning Hoge nominations for CMA, ACM, and GRAMMY Awards. Soon he was performing everywhere from the Grand Ole Opry to The Late Show with David Letterman, his music was soundtracking a high-profile Chevy truck campaign, and he'd signed a major publishing deal.
When the inspiration ran dry, though, Hoge took a gamble on himself and walked away from it all in order to pursue the kind of art that truly moved him, to make something that mattered. If Anchors is any indication, it was a safe bet indeed.1. The Reckoning

The Feather Tipped The Serpent ScaleIncludes bonus live track, "Ghosts of Eden," not on the CD version!
Salt Lake City-based heavy rock duo Eagle Twin's sophomore LP is finally upon us! Once again, they have created a true masterpiece that will devastate forward-thinking riff-seekers everywhere! Entitled, The Feather Tipped The Serpent's Scale, the new Eagle Twin opus picks up right where the band's acclaimed debut, The Unkindess of Crows, left off.
In this installment, the crows documented in the first album have battled the sun and were burned back down to earth as black snakes, the concept of the album continuing mainly on the snake and its various mythic and symbolic incarnations. Ultimately, the great ancestral snake is transformed from its lowly beginnings back into a bird soaring upon the thermals.
Recorded with Randall Dunn at London Bridge Studio (as with the first album), the record boasts some of the most mesmerizing and monstrous riff transformations from Eagle Twin to date. Eagle Twin merges the talents of guitarist Gentry Densley (of legendary post-hardcore/jazz icons, Iceburn) with thunderous percussion of Tyler Smith (formerly of Form of Rocket).
Following a cult split 7" with Night Terror in 2009, Eagle Twin's incredibly potent and unique multi-faceted approach became apparent to the world when their debut stormed doom and experimental music fans later that year.
