    Alone

The Pretenders are set to release their first album in eight years, Alone, via BMG. Recorded in Nashville and originally intended as a solo follow-up to 2014's 'Stockholm', it soon became obvious that those driving guitars, ragged but righteous arrangements, tough yet tender lyrics delivered by the most beautifully distinctive voice of a generation, sounded fantastically familiar. The Pretenders were back. 36 years after their remarkable first album, 'Alone' could be the older, wiser, badder sister to that exhilarating debut.

Chrissie Hynde recorded the album in Nashville with Dan Auerbach, from The Black Keys, who stood as captain, producer and multi-instrumentalist on the record, an album which sees Chrissie at her searingly honest, most incisive best.

The full band joining Chrissie and Dan on the album features Johnny Cash's former bass player Dave Roe and country rocker Kenny Vaughan on guitar plus sundry members of Dan Auerbach's side project The Arcs: Richard Swift, drums, Leon Michels, keyboards and Russ Pahl providing sly curlicues of pedal steel. The album was mixed by Tchad Blake (Arctic Monkeys, Peter Gabriel, Elvis Costello). Duane Eddy also features on the punchy 'Never Be Together'.

Of the new album Chrissie Hynde said the following: "This record is what I love the most - real people playing real music. I sang and recorded every vocal in a 48 hour period - 48 hours to sing them, 40 years of preparation!"

    Pressed On Clear Vinyl

LOW IN HIGH SCHOOL will be Morrissey's first studio album since
2014 and his debut for BMG. The album will see BMG partnering
with Morrissey on the new release and on the launch of his new
label, Etienne Records. LOW IN HIGH SCHOOL was recorded at
La Fabrique Studios in France and in Rome at Ennio Morricone's
Forum Studios. The record is produced by Joe Chiccarelli (who
has worked with The Strokes, Beck and The White Stripes to
    name a few).

Morrissey's talent for combining political statements and beautiful
melodies is more prevalent than ever on LOW IN HIGH SCHOOL,
capturing the zeitgeist of an ever-changing world.

Rising to prominence as frontman of The Smiths, Morrissey went
on to forge an even more successful career as a solo artist, with
all ten of his solo efforts landing in the Top 10 on the UK album
charts, including 3 entries at the #1 position. Releasing his debut
solo album Viva Hate back in 1988, he has since released a
number of critically acclaimed follow-ups including Kill Uncle and
Your Arsenal, and hugely successful comeback album You Are the

    We Need Medicine (Awaiting Repress)

After a 5-year release hiatus, The Fratellis are back with a new album 'We Need Medicine' in 2013 released through BMG Records.

Glasgow based The Fratellis released their first album 'Costello Music' in 2006 which charted at #2 in the UK Album Chart with over 1million sales and received much critical acclaim, with the band winning the 'Best British Breakthrough Act' award at the 2007 BRIT Awards. They followed this with the release of their second album 'Here We Stand' in 2008 which won them 'Best British Band' at the 33rd Silver Clef Awards that year.

The Fratellis third album 'We Need Medicine', recorded in Glasgow's West End and produced by Jon Fratelli and Stuart McCredie, who also mixed the record, is an 11-track record of bluesy rock anthems. New single 'Seven Nights Seven Days' is a rousing anthem with a classic Fratellis chorus backed by country guitars, while the title track is a gravelly, piano-led blues song that you can't help but sing along to and is sure to be a live favourite.

    Modern Nature

THE CHARLATANS:- Tim Burgess, Mark Collins, Martin Blunt and Tony Rogers - release their twelfth album, MODERN NATURE on BMG Chrysalis. The album comes after a brutally difficult year for the band following the death from brain cancer of their old friend and drummer Jon Brookes last year. Rogers says that they were determined to carry on, to honour Brookes' memory - Jon was adamant that there was going to be another Charlatans record, and you have to put that into your own thoughts. The band went into their studio Big Mushroom in January 2014 and as Tim recalls We were aching for the summer when we wrote it. It was freezing and we were trying to write songs that made us happy. " The result is Modern Nature. Featuring eleven new tracks, including the recent limited edition 7" single and 6 Music A List record 'Talking In Tones', the album was produced by The Charlatans and Jim Spencer and mixed by Craig Silvey (Arcade Fire, Portishead). The album features a cacophony of contributors from their three temporary drummers - Pete Salisbury of The Verve, Stephen Morris of New Order and Gabriel Gurnsey of DFA's avant-disco group Factory Floor, to Kate Bushs' backing singers Melanie Marshall and Sandra Marvin, strings by Sean O' Hagan and brass courtesy of Dexys' Big Jim Paterson. La Petite Mort (Awaiting Repress)

Manchester's finest make a welcome return with 'La Petite Mort', the first new full length James album in six years. Produced by Max Dingel (Killers. Muse, White Lies) and written as ever, by the band, with Tim Booth lyrics, this new disc ranks among their finest in their 30 year career.

Highlights include the mighty first single 'Moving On', the anthemic 'Curse Curse' and 'Frozen Britain.'

Max Dingel is the latest in a long line of first class producers the band have worked with including Brian Eno, Gil Norton and Youth.

From first signing with the infamous Factory Records, to an illustrious career of albums released through Rough Trade, Sire Records and Mercury, James have now agreed an exciting new joint venture label partnership with BMG Chrysalis and Cooking Vinyl.

'La Petite Mort' was recorded in the wake of Tim Booth losing his mother and best friend in quick succession and understandably many of the songs deal with mortality, hence the album title. However, 'La Petite Mort', is an incredibly uplifting record.

Since forming in 1982, James are, without doubt, one of Britain's most influential indie bands, enjoying a prestigious career that spans over 30 years. Their classic hits include 'Sit Down', 'She's A Star', 'Laid' and 'Getting Away With It (All Messed Up)' amongst their 20 top 40 UK singles. They have released 12 studio albums and have sold over 12 million albums worldwide.

James are: Tim Booth (vocals), Jim Glennie (bass), Larry Gott (guitars), Saul Davies (guitar, violin), Mark Hunter (keyboards), David Baynton-Power (drums) and Andy Diagram (trumpet).

    Rainier Fog (Pre-Order)

RAINIER FOG marks a few firsts for the band: in addition to being their
first album in five years, it's their first album with BMG and their first time
recording in their hometown of Seattle in more than 20 years (worth noting
that the album title is a tribute to Seattle). They recorded at Studio X, the same
facility where they tracked 1995's self-titled ALICE IN CHAINS album (back
when the studio was known as Bad Animals). The RAINIER FOG recording
process also saw the band spend time at Henson Recording Studios in Los
Angeles and at the Nashville studio of producer Nick Raskulinecz. RAINIER
FOG is the third straight ALICE IN CHAINS album recorded with producer
Nick Raskulinecz and engineer Paul Figueroa. The album was mixed by Joe
Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Tool).

RAINIER FOG follows 2013's Grammy nominated The Devil Put Dinosaurs
Here, which entered Billboard's Top 200 chart at No. 2 and debuted at No.
1 on Billboard's Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums, Hard Rock Albums
charts and the iTunes Rock Album Chart. Its fi rst two singles, "STONE" and
"HOLLOW," both shot to No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart
and "VOICES" hit No. 3. All three tracks stayed on the chart for over 20 weeks.
ALICE IN CHAINS (vocalist/guitarist Jerry Cantrell, vocalist/guitarist William
DuVall, drummer Sean Kinney and bassist Mike Inez) recently added a third
leg to their worldwide headlining tour.

Over the course of their remarkable career, ALICE IN CHAINS have garnered
multiple Grammy nominations, sold more than 30 million albums worldwide
and amassed a diehard international fanbase whose members number in the
millions. They remain one of the most successful and infl uential American
    rock bands of all time.

    The Stiff Singles 1976 - 1977

It was the summer of 1976 when Dave Vanian, Rat Scabies and Captain Sensible recruited guitarist and songwriter Brian James, they played their first gig supporting the Sex Pistols at the 100 Club and quickly signed to Stiff Records and began writing the very first chapter of the punk rock history books. Their debut 7" - New Rose - was written by Brian James and backed by a proto-thrash version of The Beatles' Help. It was recorded by Stiff's in-house producer, Nick Lowe and set the punk dream alight at exactly 9.00am when record shops opened for business on 22 October 1976, stealing a march on the Pistols by becoming what is widely acknowledged as the very first punk record ever released.

The band really came into their own with their second single - Neat Neat Neat - which had two cuts on the B-side, Stab Yor Back and Singalongascabies. Produced, like New Rose, by Nick Lowe, the vinyl had a message from one band member scratched in the run-out groove: "this is your captain speaking..." So what were Captain Sensible's favourite acts on Stiff, one journalist asked him in 2007? "I wasn't interested!" he insists. "It was mainly pub rock in the early days, which we despised and sneered at in our young and snotty way " After a special 7" - Stretcher Case Baby - cut to give away at gigs celebrating the band's first anniversary, they went back into the studio, this time with Pink Floyd's Nick Mason at the controls.

Third single Problem Child was written by Brian James with Rat Scabies and featured new recruit Lu Edmonds on guitar. An incendiary two minutes of the band in their prime, it failed to crack the UK top 40 but did make number 27 in NME's alternative singles chart. By the end of 1977, the Damned were ready to part with Stiff, just as Brian James and Lu Edmonds were ready to part with The Damned. Their last single was Don't Cry Wolf, backed with another Nick Mason-produced track, One Way Love.

BMG now proudly present this limited edition set comprising of 5 x 7 vinyl singles including the famed first ever punk single 'New Rose' and all the other early hits from the impressively chaotic punk quartet. All singles have been recreated with their original artwork, including the ultra-rare, previously fan club only 'Stretcher Case Baby'. These are all packed in a superb box, collaged with original press cuttings from back in the day. Also included is a Damned embroidered patch, exclusive to this boxset.

    ...Ya Know? (Awaiting Repress)

BMG Rights Management presents Joey Ramone's second solo album, "...Ya Know?", eleven years after his life was cruelly cut short by lymphoma. The tracks were drawn from a cache of demos and unreleased recordings that Joey had cut at various times during the last decade and a half of his life.

His brother, musician Mickey Leigh, executive produced the project. It was of the utmost importance to me that these remaining songs of Joey's be finished properly, and made available for the world to hear, Leigh says of "...Ya Know?", which is comprised primarily of never-before-heard songs written and sung by his brother.

But this is no half-baked grab-bag of odds and ends. Rather, it's a riveting collection of first-rate songs that embody Joey's trademark intensity and wit, and that can stand proudly alongside his most beloved Ramones compositions. It's also a fitting, if belated, follow-up to Joey's first solo album Don't Worry About Me, which was recorded just prior to his death and released the following year.

"...Ya Know?", whose title refers to the phrase that was a ubiquitous staple of Joey's conversation, adds a significant new chapter to the seminal punk icon's hugely influential body of work. Among the many talented people Mickey Leigh and Joey's manager Dave Frey reached out to in bringing "...Ya Know?" to fruition was veteran producer Ed Stasium, who was behind the board for many of the Ramones' greatest albums, including their early classics Leave Home, Rocket to Russia and Road to Ruin.

In addition to producing ten of the album's fifteen tracks, Stasium also contributed instrumentation and vocals to each. The swaggering album-opener Rock 'n' Roll Is the Answer (co-written with Plasmatics guitarist Richie Stotts) will be released as a limited-edition 7" single for Record Store Day on April 21, 2012.

That song and the hometown shout-out New York City demonstrate Joey's knack for channeling his personal passions into bracing anthems. The playfully breezy Make Me Tremble (which Joey wrote and recorded with Dictators founder Andy Shernoff) and the bittersweet acoustic ballad Waiting for That Railroad find him exploring some of the more introspective territory that he'd been unable to visit within the format of his former band.

Elsewhere on "...Ya Know?", I Couldn't Sleep is a collaboration between brothers Joey and Mickey, who also teamed up to record a romantic alternate version of the Ramones' holiday classic Merry Christmas (I Don't Want to Fight Tonight) in Joey's apartment. Meanwhile, a previously unreleased reprise of Joey's late-period Ramones tune Life's A Gas ends the album on an appropriately uplifting note.

Also contributing to "...Ya Know?" is an assortment of musicians and producers whose prior relationships with Joey help to give the album an organic vibe that enhances its power and character. The cast of players includes Joan Jett, and Little Steven Van Zandt, who plays guitar on Party Line and wrote the album's poignant liner notes, along with such notables as former Ramones drummer Richie Ramone, Bun E. Carlos of Cheap Trick, Dennis Diken of the Smithereens, Richie Stotts, Patti Smith Group guitarist Lenny Kaye, punk survivor Holly Beth Vincent, members of the Ramones' punk-era contemporaries The Dictators, and producers Jean Beauvoir and Joe Blaney.

The resulting album is a brilliant encapsulation of the qualities that made Joey Ramone one of rock's most unlikely, yet most beloved, heroes. Leigh reflects "Over the past eight years I've been getting barrages of emails and Facebook messages from Joey's fans, wanting to know when this album would be coming out. So having it finally become a reality gives me a feeling of triumph, not for me, but for my brother, and for his fans. And there's not the slightest doubt in my mind that people are gonna be blown away by it.

Ann Wilson of Heart, one of rock's most distinctive and powerful vocalists, will release her new solo album on BMG, marking her debut for the label. Fittingly titled Immortal, the album features 10 musically diverse tracks that pay homage to some of the singer's favorite songs and artists, all of whom have passed away in recent years and whose music poignantly lives on. Ann Wilson states specifically about this project, For these souls passed, for all souls present, these songs are shades of life, love, darkness and light. It is an honor to stand inside these expressions and make them mine for a moment. Listen, feel and dig them with me. Love and respect, Ann.

Brit Award-winner and Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and producer; music legend Rick Astley has left an indelible mark on pop-culture since his emergence into the limelight nearly thirty years ago. He has sold over 40 million records; had the UK's biggest selling single of 1987; is the first male solo artist to see his first eight singles reach the UK Top Ten; and in 2002, saw his Greatest Hits compilation album go gold.

On his 7th album - and first studio record released in over a decade - 50 (BMG), Astley returns to his musical roots with mighty force. He plays every instrument on the album and penned each track. His key influences and complex understanding of different musical genres are evident in his songwriting, which draws from his life and inspirations. At times it's reflective and vulnerable, at others it's uplifting and progressive, but his distinctive, soulful voice remains familiar, enriched by the last decade of increasing time spent touring. Focus tracks on the new album include Keep Singing, I Like The Sun, Angels On My Side and This Old House.

Texas are back with 'Jump On Board', a glorious new album from one of Britain's best-loved bands. Now signed to BMG, Texas have made an absolute pop classic boasting the back to the dance floor first single 'Let's Work It Out' and the stone cold smash hit 'Tell That Girl'.

Written and produced by Texas stalwarts Johnny McElhone and Sharleen Spiteri, in London and Glasgow, and mixed by Craig Silvey (Arcade Fire, Florence & The Machine, Noel Gallagher),'Jump On Board' is guaranteed to turn any dark skies blue. It's the perfect antidote to these worrying times and will put a big smile back on your face.

"When music's in your DNA, what's gone in will come back out," Sharleen Spiteri says. "'Jump On Board' has references of course, but it's an up-front, modern-sounding record."

'Jump on Board' is the first new Texas studio album since 'The Conversation' in 2013. Having sold over 35 million records with 3 number one albums, 7 top ten albums and 13 top ten singles, 'Jump On Board' looks set to reignite their flame.

"We feel refreshed," Sharleen admits. "We definitely had a great time making this record. It's time to jig it all up. It's like a new beginning. This is the next part of our story, and we're loving it."

Almond's voice--although it no longer veers out of tune like it used to so endearingly in the 80s--is still enthralling. - The Guardian

'Shadows And Reflections' is the new album by Marc Almond released by BMG. It features sumptuous arrangements of iconic torch songs and60's orchestral pop for which he is beloved, as well as two new original compositions. The album features songs written or recorded by artists such as Burt Bacharach, The Action, The Yardbirds, Bobby Darin, Julie Driscoll, Billy Fury and the Young Rascals. The album thematically begins and ends in an apartment. It's about this guy that's living in a luxury expansive glass apartment overlooking the city, filled with sculptures and beautiful things, an empty soulless shell, surrounded by absurd wealth. He is sitting alone and I imagine listening to this music, possibly the songs that make up this album. He's rich in the bank but the poorest person you know.

2017 cements the 60th Birthday year for the singer who the Observer noted, has never stood still and comes after the great success of the Top 10 album 'Hits And Pieces', which was followed by a sold-out Spring tour including a triumphant show at London's Roundhouse.

    Feed The Machine

Pressed On Black & Red Marble Colored Vinyl

Diamond-certified, global award-winning rock band, Nickelback, are set to release their ninth studio album 'Feed the Machine' on vinyl via BMG. Recorded in Vancouver and produced by Nickelback and Chris Baseford, the new album features singles "Feed the Machine," "Must Be Nice," and "Song On Fire."

"Feed the Machine is about thinking for yourself and not taking the phrase "believe me" at face value," said Nickelback guitarist, Ryan Peake.

This album showcases a more aggressive and urgent sound from the band. With the title track and lead single, "Feed the Machine", Nickelback explores the struggle for people to think for themselves on a variety of levels within this tumultuous digital-fueled era. Introspective and timely, the track offers a pulsating slice of the Nickelback aural experience. With that gauntlet thrown, the second track off the album demands the listener throw a "Coin for the Ferryman" on a road trip that promises, "we can make it but we take the chance of never going back home," while the single "Must Be Nice" provides listeners with 100 miles an hour in your face rock-n-roll. The album does not shy away from also touching upon matters of the heart. On "Song On Fire", the band talks about the need to love or be loved, your heart yearning for something that your rational mind knows is impossible to hold onto.

    Raise Vibration (Pre-Order)

Set for release via BMG, Raise Vibration will be Lenny Kravitz's 11th studio album.

The record promises to be one of Kravitz's most eclectic. "Low," the song that got the whole process started, developed into a smooth funk showcase; what Kravitz calls "my Quincy Jones school" complete with horns and a string arrangement. The title track is lean power-trio rock, while the ballad "Here to Love" features Kravitz backed only by his piano and a string section. "Johnny Cash," inspired by an encounter with the late legend, is what Kravitz jokingly calls "psychedelic funk meets country."

As usual, Kravitz plays most of the instruments himself, with longtime guitarist Craig Ross. Lenny Kravitz has transcended genre, style, race and class into a 20-year musical career, one which revels in the rich influences of '60s and '70s soul, rock and funk. Kravitz's talents as a writer, producer and multi-instrumentalist have resonated now through eleven studio albums into a timeless catalog. He has also won four consecutive GRAMMY Awards, setting a record for the most wins in the Best Male Rock Vocal Performance category.

    The Jazz Age (Awaiting Repress)

If there was ever a musical icon and a decade destined to come together it is Bryan Ferry and the Roaring Twenties. The artist as creative powerhouse with a dazzling career of endless surprise, delight and innovation, and the decade - a time of modernity, decadence and bright young things - all driven on by the thrill of it all.

So what better way to celebrate and mark the 40th year anniversary of Ferry's incredible career as a singer and songwriter, than by rearranging his own compositions and have them performed in a 1920's style by his very own Jazz Orchestra? It began as an idea, fueled by Ferry's fascination of that time between the wars known as The Jazz Age. He decided the songs were to be all completely instrumental reinterpretations. A lot of the music I listen to nowadays is instrumental, he explains and I wanted to let my songs have a different life, a life without words.

He put together his very own jazz orchestra comprised of many of the great British jazz players from his past tribute to the 1930's, the album As Time Goes By - including his long-term musical director Colin Good, with whom Ferry worked closely on these new arrangements. The 13 songs have been chosen from 11 albums, from his very first release Roxy Music (1972) to his recent solo record Olympia (2010)

Later...When The TV Turns To Static

'Later When The TV Turns To Static' is the third studio album by Glasvegas and is the next stunning chapter from one of the UK's most unique bands. A ten track, 45 minute sojourn of heartfelt melancholia, broken relationships, a scorching soundscape that lifts the soul into heights of abandoned euphoria. Glasvegas have come home, turned their eyes from the blinding light back into the shadows, where reality lies. Self produced by lead vocalist and songwriter James Allan the album contains the singles 'I'd Rather Be Dead (Than Be With You)' and 'If'.

    Mountains Beaches Cities

Nashville rock favorites, Moon Taxi, have really hit the ground running in 2013. February saw the release of their second studio album, Cabaret; a keyboard laden, indie-prog rock venture. The band has hit the festival circuit hard over the summer playing the Hangout Music Festival, Wakarusa and Forecastle just to name a few. Now Moon Taxi is ready to release their third studio and second album of 2013, Mountains Beaches Cities.

Mountains Beaches Cities comes as a continuation of Cabaret. The songwriting style and recording process discovered while making their second studio album fuels the songs on Moon Taxi's newest effort. Mixed by Vance Powel of Third Man Records, the album features enormous drum sounds, multiple layers of keyboards and guitars and are driven by steady grooving bass lines.

Moon Taxi has released two singles from the new album to wet audiences appetites. The first release, 'Running Wild', is an indie pop number that uses signature Moon Taxi guitar riffs backed by keyboard synth layers. The lyrics speak of taking in the moment and making the most of life while there's still time.

Their second single, 'The New Black', is a hypnotic, head bobbing tune that plays off of one progression over and over. The dynamics rise and fall with the addition and subtraction of subtle layers that support the southern rock/blues guitar riff that drives the song.
