2M are designed for precise and accurate retrieval of the information in the record groove. Our philosophy is to play the record sound as accurate as possible, without coloring the sound. We have optimized the design for ease of mounting the cartridge, weight and size to fit the most common turntables at the market today.

The name 2M was selected among several ideas. We wanted a modern name that would be easy to pronounce and to remember, and therefore an alpha numerical name was chosen. 2M means MM, which is the abbreviation for moving magnet.

The 2M Bronze features a nude Fine Line diamond stylus, which is particularly suited for demanding applications. The slim profile of the Fine Line stylus will track even the highest frequency information, making it a must for discerning listeners. Additionally, its larger footprint ensures reduced distortion and record wear.

The cartridge body used for the 2M Bronze is manufactured from a newly-developed Lexan DMX Piano Black, a revolutionary material which ensures high rigidity while eliminating unwanted resonances. The 2M Bronze uses a special upgraded engine, featuring split pole pins with a silver plated copper wire.

    Navigating The Bronze (Awaiting Repress)

Navigating The Bronze, the fifth studio album from Seattle's AKIMBO, is their heaviest and most dynamic release to date. This battle axe of a record was sculpted at Head Bang and Kill Your Mama studio in Louisville, KY with Chris Owens (LORDS, ED GEIN, YOUNG WIDOWS, etc.) whose talent for capturing heavy-hitting bands culminated in ten songs sure to crumble the walls around your stereo.

Navigating The Bronze, AKIMBO's second full-length on Alternative Tentacles (third including the 2007 reissue of Harshing Your Mellow - VIRUS 369) features a revamped lineup with fretboard wizard Aaron Walters on guitar and the familiar cement-tight rhythm section of founding members Nat Damm (drums) and Jon Weisnewski (bass/vocals). In addition to a refreshed guitar sound, Weisnewski's token throat-shredding has evolved into a deeper, more ferocious bellow, lending a primal quality to the vocals as well as fueling the inferno with new melodies.

Tracks like You Can Hear the Honey, Wizard Van Wizard and Huge Muscles will sound instantly familiar to the seasoned AKIMBO connoisseur with frantic pacing and more changes than one can count on two hands. However, Navigating The Bronze has its cache of surprises for old fans, including a classical tribute to Bach in Megatherium and drummer Nat Damm - a multiple Seattle Weekly Best Drummer nominee - doing his first ever solo track Roman Coins.

At once the most varied and sonically mature AKIMBO record thus far, Navigating The Bronze is certain to take the band to the next level. AKIMBO will be on the road constantly throughout 2007 and into 2008 supporting Navigating The Bronze.

Up, On & Over (Awaiting Repress)

The album is a collection of songs defined by the band's ability to step out of their comfort zone and push forward. Leading the way is first single "Further
On," an optimistic anthem steeped in summertime brightness. "Further On" started making waves months before the album's anticipated release, when it
was tapped as the soundtrack to the PGA Tour's national ad campaign featuring Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. The rest of the record follows suit with
strong hooks, twangy guitars, and driving percussion. While we can't be sure where Bronze Radio Return's story will take them next, Up, On & Over is an
exciting new chapter in their journey. Keep an eye out as their story unfolds, taking us all for a ride moving... well Further On.

Formed in 2008, Bronze Radio Return's line-up took a few years to solidify, though most of the band's members were orbiting each other for years at the
Hartt School, one of the country's best schools of music, located in Hartford, Connecticut. For debut Old Time Speaker, the band relocated to Nashville for
a two-week period, to, as lead vocalist Chris Henderson puts it, "A place we'd never been with a producer we'd never met, and played a bunch of songs
we'd never played before." For such an inauspicious set of circumstances, the band managed a solid and well-received debut, and forged a lasting bond
with producer Chad Copelin (Ivan & Alyosha, Train.) Old Time Speaker established the band's relentless touring schedule, including an invitation to
represent the Connecticut music scene by performing for President Obama at an event in Bridgeport, CT in 2010. Fan favorites "Digital Love" and "Lo-Fi"
have been picked up for advertising and television licensing and the album landed on CMJ's Top 200 Album Chart.

    The Monument Singles Collection

    Import

Roy Orbison is often credited with having one of the most powerful voices in Rock 'n Roll.

He certainly had one of the most distinctive ones; yet his operatic quavering and impressive range were used to portray a quiet and desperate vulnerability that was foreign to most of his rebelling, sex, drugs & rock'n'roll contemporaries.

This vulnerability is probably why he was so very popular in the '60s, and why after a dip of almost twenty years he could easily reclaim his prominence in the '80s. When David Lynch (in)famously used his song 'In Dreams' in Blue Velvet the public - and Roy himself - learned that there was a different side to his sultryness, and interest in his music was renewed. To celebrate what would have been his 75th birthday Music On Vinyl is releasing The Monument Singles Collection, with amongst others "Only The Lonely", "Crying", and of course "Pretty Woman".

    Runaljod Ragnarok

Wardruna is finally ready to present their next album entitled 'Runaljod - Ragnarok'. It is the third installment in a trilogy of albums that began with 'Runaljod - gap var Ginnunga' (2009) and continued with 'Runaljod - Yggdrasil' (2013). In short, the ambitious idea behind the trilogy was to create musical interpretations of each of the twenty-four old Nordic runes. It proved to be a lengthy and challenging task. Some of the material on the album even date back to 2003 and the early stages of the project, when multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Einar Selvik started to develop the genre-defying sound and style that Wardruna have become known for. It is a contemporary sound, but one that is characterized by the use of old and historical instruments like Kraviklyra, taglharpe, goat horns, birchbark lures and more. The vocals range from whispering voices to melodic song and mighty choirs. All performed with sincerity and conviction.

Musically and conceptually there is a clear continuity between all three of the albums, but with time and experience comes refinement. And new elements has certainly been added along the way. Most notable on 'Runaljod - Ragnarok' is the use of the Scandinavian bronze lures, whose iconic sound and appearance make them a perfect fit with Wardruna's instrumentation and concept. Special guest performances by Einar's own children and Skarvebarna children's choir must also be noted.

'Runaljod - Ragnarok' was written, recorded and produced by Einar Selvik from 2003 to 2016 at his own Fimbulljóð studio.

A short tour in support of the album will commence in November, with concerts in Norway, Germany, Poland, Netherlands, France, Sweden, Denmark and the UK. Many of the concerts were sold out quickly and further touring is planned for 2017. The saga continues.

"Music Hall MMF-5 Turntable: So Good it's laughable! The MMF-5 is a 'plug and play' design you can have up and running in 10 minutes. The MMF-5 will make an analog believer out of the most doctrinaire digital fanatic. It's a gateway drug into the intoxicating world of analog playback. Get hooked you'll never go back!"
    - Michael Fremer, Stereophile, Analog Corner

The Music Hall mmf-5.3 special edition turntable is a 2-speed belt driven audiophile turntable employing the unique dual-plinth construction originated by Music Hall.

The distinctive design isolates the critical sound reproducing components: platter, main bearing, tonearm, and cartridge on the top platform from the motor, switch, wiring, and feet which are mounted on the bottom platform. Sorbothane hemispheres separate the two platforms and provide suspension and vibration damping.

    Natural Light (Pure Pleasure)

Natural Light by Eric Bibb is as strong as his previous efforts and produced once again by his longtime bassist Dave Bronze. Eric's voice and guitar playing shines all over whether he's doing a solo acoustic number as in Champagne Habits and the beautiful Lucky Man' Rag where he is joined by a wasboard player, or in the full band numbers such as the cover of the sixties Jackie Wilson hit Higher And Higher. Other favourites include the jazzy Home Lovin' Man where Janne Petersson's piano really stands out, the gospel of Right On Time and Tell Riley, a song about Bukka White and his cousin Riley B.(B.) King. There's even a guest appearence by Hubert Sumlin, the late Howlin Wolf's guitarist, who plays a solo on Too Much Stuff. Most of the songs are self-penned by Eric Bibb with wise storytelling and witty lyrics but there are some covers tastefully arranged including Randy Newman' ballad Every Time It Rains.

    Musicians:

    • Eric Bibb (vocal, guitar)

    • Janne Petersson (piano, organ, accordian)

    • Dave Bronze (bass)

    • Hubert Sumlin, Steve Donnelly (guitar)

    • Simon Clarke, Roddy Lorimer, Tim Sanders (horns)

    • Henry Spinetti (drums)

    • Martin Ditcham, Bjorn Gideonsson (drums, percussion)

Recording: 2003 at Intimate Studios, London, by Troy Hermes / Warehouse Studios, Oxford, by Steve Watkins / Tonczone Studios, Kent, by Richard Studholme / Leon C Studios, Southend, by Dave Bronze

    Production: Dave Bronze

    About Pure Pleasure

At the beginning of the 90s, in the early days of audiophile vinyl re-releases, the situation was fairly straightforward. Companies such as DCC, Mobile Fidelity, Classic Records and, of course, Pure Pleasure all maintained a mutual, unwritten ethical code: we would only use analogue tapes to manufacture records.

During the course of the present vinyl hype, many others have jumped on the bandwagon in the hope of securing a corner of the market. Very often they are not so ethical and use every imaginable source to master from: CDs, LPs, digital files, MP3s - or employed existent tools from the 80s and 90s for manufacturing.

A digital delay is gladly used when cutting a lacquer disc because tape machines with an analogue delay have become quite rare and are therefore expensive. When cutting the lacquer, the audio signal is delayed by one LP revolution against the signal, which controls the cutter head, and for this a digital delay is very often employed. Of course, the resultant sound signal is completely digital and thus only as good as this delay.

We should like to emphasize that Pure Pleasure Records on principle only uses the original master tape as the basis for the entirely analogue cutting of lacquer discs. In addition, the pressing tool is newly manufactured as a matter of principle.

We only employ existing tools for manufacturing if an improved result is not forthcoming, e.g. the title Elvis Is Back, which was mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray, or several titles from our Philips Classics series, which in any case Willem Makkee cut from the original masters at the Emil Berliner Studios in the 90s. It goes without saying that we only used the mother and that new tools were made for our production.

To put it in a nutshell: we can ensure you that our releases are free from any kind of digital effects and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.

This lost 1982 NWOBHM classic foretold the emergence of speed and thrash metal with high RPM work-outs like Coldheart, No Lies, and Dutch Connection. Was it a coincidence that Metallica's Kill 'Em All came out the following year? Maybe, but one could easily suspect that Power Games was on the Metallica turntable.

Jaguar along with Bronze label-mates Raven was definitely the most balls-out outfit in the New Wave of British Heavy Metal scene, and this record, aside from one mid-tempo track (Rawdeal) is pure pedal-to-the-metal metal.

Our first-ever vinyl reissue comes in green and brown camo vinyl limited to 700 copies!

A very Furutech power product, manifesting a devotion to best performance in every element of AC and signal transfer Considering that what you actually hear is in a very real sense the direct product of the incoming AC then the final few feet are of prime importance for best performance. Of course everyone would love to make pure-copper receptacles, but its malleability -lack of stiffness -makes pure copper a poor choice. That's why you'll find phosphor bronze or brass in some receptacles. Furutech's intense engineering scrutiny has resulted in an industry-first, a technique allowing us to use special Furutech 24k gold-or rhodium-plated a(Alpha) pure copper conductors strengthened and sprung by our innovative nonmagnetic Stainless Steel Conductor Spring System that keeps a firm grip yet won't damage male connector blades or their plated surfaces. Even the screw-down pressure plates are curved to maximize contact area. The GTX receptacle can be summed up in a word; virtuoso!

Classic turntable with superior tone-arm reaches magical performance levels!

1Xpression Carbon is the 6th generation of the hi-fi classic Pro-Ject 1, which was presented for the first time in 1991. No other entry-level turntable concept is more audiophile and the current version includes a totally new carbon tone-arm with spin-off „EVO"-technology. It has new innovative gimbal design features a resonance damping counterweight, that allows best performance for any cartridge. The approved belt drive design offers low noise AC motor with effective motor decoupling, ultra precision frequency DC-driven AC generator (like Speed Box) for ultimate speed stability. The complex main platter construction cannot be found elsewhere in this price range and is similar to the Xtension models. Advanced thermo plastic elastomers (TPE) are used in a sandwich construction with steel alloy for optimized resonance behavior. Platter bearing axle is made from low tolerance chrome plated stainless steel running on a Teflon bottom in bronze bearing housing. Turntable main plinth is made from low resonance MDF, which effectively is decoupled from structure-born noise by special absorber feet, that use TPE technology. Beside it`s class-leading sound quality, this turntable convinces with classic elegance and high-class black piano finish.
