The King Of Rock & Roll's Debut 1956 Album

First Time 180 Gram Audiophile Beautiful Translucent Blue Vinyl & First Time Gatefold Cover Presentation

Impeccably Mastered By Joe Reagoso & Pressed At R.T.I.

Elvis Aaron Presley was born during the Great Depression into a poor family in Mississippi. They moved to Memphis during the early fifties, and as a struggling young truck driver, Elvis cut some demos as a gift for his beloved mother Gladys. These initial songs, of which he had only paid a few dollars to record, would become the catalyst that would kick-start the beginnings of a soon to be worldwide superstar unlike the world has ever known.

The folks at RCA Victor knew that this young fellow named Elvis was destined for super stardom. They quickly signed the legend to a long-term deal in 1956, and his first RCA Lp simply titled Elvis Presley forever etched The King Of Rock And Roll trademark to his name. He would eventually become the most successful solo artist of all time!

Easily the first top selling rock and pop albums of the fifties, Elvis Presley was a treasure trove of his first RCA sessions and Sun session and included such great tracks as his signature Blue Suede Shoes, the rock-a-billy smash Just Because & the stellar balladry of Blue Moon.

More great Elvis tunes abound as he pays tribute to The Drifters with a rockin' version of Money Honey and the Ray Charles' classic I Got A Woman.

Featuring 12 of his most familiar tunes the debut Elvis Presley album went on to become one of his most memorable titles in his huge arsenal of masterful rock and roll albums, as well as one of the most copied album covers of all time.

Thanks to his finest rock smashes like Tryin' To Get To You and the piano rocker One Sided Love Affair, this debut masterpiece was just what the fans were screaming for, as the entire album was built around the framework of his new and exciting rock trademark sound.

In honor of the Man, the Music, the Legend, the King Of Rock And Roll, Friday Music is very proud and honored to announce the first time limited Anniversary Edition 180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl release of the RCA Victor classic Elvis Presley.

    The White Album

Ranked 10/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

    Pressed on 180 gram vinyl.

    Double LP

Beautiful packaging that includes double-sided photo montage, lyric sheet and 4 solo color photos.

The Beatles is the ninth official album by the English rock group The Beatles, a double album released in 1968. It is also commonly known as The White Album as it has no graphics or text other than the band's name embossed on its plain white sleeve.

The album was written and recorded during a period of turmoil for the group, after visiting the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in India and having a particularly productive songwriting session in early 1968. Returning to the studio, the group recorded from May to October 1968, only to have conflict and dissent drive the group members apart. Ringo Starr quit the band for a brief time, leaving Paul McCartney to play drums on two tracks. Many of the songs were solo recordings, or at least by less than the full group, as each individual member began to explore his own talent.

Upon release in November 1968, the album received largely positive reviews and reached number 1 on the charts in the United Kingdom and the United States. The album is notable for the eclectic nature of its songs, which has divided critics in evaluating its legacy. The album has sold over 30 million copies worldwide and was listed at number 10 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list.

A team consisting of some of the best producers and engineers in the recording industry were brought together and would spend 4 long years mixing and mastering with some of the most state of the art recording equipment. Treating these records much like a science experiment, engineers ran extensive tests before copying the analog master tapes over into a digital format using 24-bit/192 kHz resolution, and carefully removing clicks, vocal pops and poor edits. Never altering the original songs themselves, just polishing them up a bit.

    Dark Grey Colored Vinyl

    Mastered For Vinyl By Masterdisk

Faithful, Updated Rendering Of Original Art Printed At Stoughton Printing Co.

Limited Foil-numbered Edition Of 500 Dark Grey Vinyl Manufactured For Pristine Sound At Quality Record Pressings

Every Damned record is different. And every one takes the band's signature sound in a new direction. The Black Album is no exception, perhaps the band's most ambitious of its excellent discography.

This double LP follow-up to the superb Machine Gun Etiquette (also available from DPR) is the fourth full length release by the British punk founding-fathers. The LP originally came out in July of 1980, making this its 24th anniversary.

This sprawling multi-faceted masterpiece is comprised of traditional punk rock, dark lyrical introspection, haunting sounds, and one side of hard-edged live recordings. It further explores the musical boundaries The Damned were clearly eager to avoid rather than embrace.

From the songs opener, ''Waiting for the Blackout,'' through ''13th Floor Vendetta'' (alluding to the movie The Abominable Dr. Phibes), to its side-length ''Curtain Call,'' The Damned prove why they are the most referential and chameleon-like of all the original punk innovators. And why they remain one of the best.

Colored Sands (Colored Vinyl) (Awaiting Repress)

Pressed On Clear Vinyl With Orange Splatter

GORGUTS, long-running Canadian craftsmen of technical death metal have returned! After more than a decade of silence, mastermind Luc Lemay unleashes Colored Sands, a new brand of pestilent fury featuring an all-star line-up including John Longstreath (ORIGIN, SKINLESS), Colin Marston (BEHOLD THE ARCTOPUS) and Kevin Hufnagel (DYSRHYTHMIA).

Few extreme bands have the pedigree of GORGUTS. During their early days as part of death metal's first wave, they created a legacy of legendary releases including their debut album Considered Dead (1991) and its follow-up Erosion of Sanity (1993). The latter witnessed the Canadians becoming more experimental and technical. After a hiatus of five years, Luc Lemay returned with a new line-up, which released the acclaimed third full-length Obscura (1998). By then GORGUTS had fully transformed into one of the most progressive and influential bands in extreme music, which remained impervious to trends, while expanding and redefining the language of death metal. With a new line-up that left Lemay as the sole original member, another milestone album was released. On From Wisdom to Hate (2001) the Quebecois successfully merged the brutal and more direct approach of their earlier albums with the complex arrangements of Obscura.

Just as GORGUTS seemed on the verge of making the first decade of the new century their own, the band was hit by business and personal issues and went on hiatus. Their musical legacy continued to inspire and thrive as their native Quebec became a focus for technical death metal with acts such as CRYPTOPSY, NEURAXIS and BEYOND CREATION to name but a few following in their footsteps.

Now the masters are back to deliver the stunning masterpiece the metal world has been awaiting so long. Brace hard or get swept away by the mind blowing storm of Colored Sands!

    Nosebleed Weekend (Bruisy Colored Vinyl)

Limited Edition Of 1,000 Copies On Bruisy Colored Vinyl

Nosebleed Weekend kicks off with Perfume, a song that marries sultry pop vocals with toothy guitar riffs in a manner that would make Ann and Nancy Wilson proud. It's hard to imagine The Coathangers writing a song this accessible in their early years, but in 2016 it fits perfectly into their canon. From there the band launches into Dumb Baby, which harkens back to the gritty neo-garage rock of Murder City Devils. Longtime fans who still clamor for their brash post-punk angle will be immediately satiated by Squeeki Tiki. And after hearing the noisy loud-quiet-loud bombast of Excuse Me? it's no wonder that Kim Gordon has become an outspoken fan of the band. It's an eclectic album inspired by life on the road, lost loved ones, and Kugel's recent move to Southern California. We always say that each record is a snapshot of our life at the time, Kugel says. As far as style... it's just what came out of us at that point. So whether it's the foreboding garage rock of the title track, the post-punk groove of Burn Me, the stripped-down pop of I Don't Think So, or the dynamic grunge of Down Down, The Coathangers command their songs with passion and authority.

Hailed in advance by Rolling Stone as a "euphoric blast of experimental pop", Beck's 13th album Colors has been confirmed for release via Capitol Records. Possibly the most aptly titled work in Beck's storied discography, Colors unfolds in an intoxicating rainbow of auditory tricks and treats, making it a summery smash for the fall season.

Colors is Beck's first full-length offering of new material since 2014's Gold-certified Morning Phase took Album of the Year top honors at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, as well as Best Rock Album and Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical) category. In addition to the new single "Dear Life", Colors includes both Beck singles that preceded it: a new mix of the psych-dance summer jam "Dreams" that NPR hailed as "urgently contemporary and irresistibly vintage", and the retro-futuristic earworm "Wow" that had Stereogum praising its "big, sweet incandescent hook" and plainly stating "It's a great song!" while Esquire rejoiced "All hail the return of Party Beck".

Colors was produced by Greg Kurstin and Beck, with the exception of "Wow" produced by Beck and Cole M.G.N., and "Fix Me" produced by Beck. The album was mixed by Serban Ghenea, except "Dreams" and "Up All Night," which were mixed by Greg Kurstin and Beck.

Alabama Shakes announced that they will be releasing the highly anticipated follow-up to their 2012 Grammy-nominated debut. The new album is titled Sound & Color.

"We took our time to write this record, and I'm really glad we did," says Brittany Howard, lead singer and guitarist of Alabama Shakes, about the band's new album Sound & Color. "We were able to sit down and think about what's exciting to us, explore all the things we wanted to on our first album. This record is full of genre-bending songs-it's even harder now when people ask, 'What kind of band are you?' I have no clue."

The album's twelve songs reveal a band honed by years on the road, and drawing from a wide range of influences. The bluesy groove of "Shoegaze" or the garage-rock freak-out on "The Greatest" give way to the psychedelic space jam "Gemini." The gently swaying, chiming title song opens the album with what Howard calls "more of a visual thing, I think of this whole scene going on," then explodes into the urgent, tightly-coiled funk of "Don't Wanna Fight." Long instrumental intros and passages create hazy atmosphere, and then the intensity of Howard's vocals snaps everything back into riveting focus.

    No More Color (Pre-Order)

No More Color is Coroner's third album, originally release on September 18, 1989. It is the release where they started to truly 'progress', as the songs are still similar to their older, speedy, European thrash metal but start to feature elements of the avant-garde progressive thrash of their later albums. This album features very proficient instrumentation and incorporation of elements from genres such as jazz fusion, progressive rock and classical music, which would later be an influence on the evolution and maturity of the experimental side of heavy metal, including acts such as Death.

In preparation of their upcoming studio album release, CORONER's revered 80's catalogue is finally being re-released now: "R.I.P." (1987), "Punishment For Decadence" (1988) as well as "No More Color" (1989) have been carefully re-mastered and are now finally available again on LP for the current generation of Metalheads to rediscover the group's outstanding, timeless and highly creative early output. Look out for further info on more and new CORONER material coming soon

    Every Color Of Darkness

It has been four years since Guillermo S. Herren released
anything significant from his most famous and respected
moniker, Prefuse 73 (though he did keep busy with live
shows, collaborations, and remixes). That's a long time for
virtually any artist, but it's an eternity for Herren, whose first
three Prefuse 73 albums dropped in the span of four years.
As if to make up for lost time, 2015 will see the release of
not one, but three major works from Prefuse 73. After
several albums that saw Herren progressively drift away
from the beatmaking prowess that made him synonymous
with emotionally resonant, damaged hip-hop, he's found
himself reinvigorated - thanks in large part to an emotionally
draining, creatively cashed few years. As Herren puts it, I've
come back to hyper focusing - immersing myself in the
sounds, rhythms, and formations that created Prefuse 73 in
the first place. Recently, I've found a new life in the whole
process of refining what I've created over the years as
"Prefuse". Right now I'm at my most confident and
    comfortable since 05/06.

It shows. The conclusion of a triptych of new recordings,
Every Color of Darkness basks in the darkest corners of
Prefuse 73's world, finding an eerie romanticism in manic
beats and damaged jazz. It's a record that showcases his
uncanny ability to excavate and exploit a source of light
    buried in pitch black.

For an artist who has played an undeniably integral role in
the careers of so many influential artists - from MF Doom
to Battles to Flying Lotus - it's not just refreshing to hear
him return to top form...it's revelatory.

    The Photo Album

    Newly Reissued 180 Gram Version

Released in 2000, We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes delivered on the promise of You Can Play These Songs with Chords and Something About Airplanes. For once, a band's popularity grew commensurate with its maturation. Despite the heightened attention, singer/songwriter/guitarist Ben Gibbard next let loose Death Cab for Cutie's finest moment, Photobooth, the lead track on the sparkling Forbidden Love EP. New fans worldwide swooned under its beguiling romantic rise 'n' fall and its lingering, bittersweet, wallet-sized artifact. And though it wouldn't have killed them to include Photobooth here -- for its spotless greatness and thematic likeness -- The Photo Album's ten tracks are of the EP's heightened caliber. Gibbard's words screen intriguing mini-films of the mind, stoked by corresponding daydreamy music. An exquisite liaison of the British penchant for ringing, knelling, subconscious guitars and direct/grittier American drive, the band is tight, evocative, and inventive. Bassist Nick Harmer and drummer Michael Schorr lock in creative rhythmic bases, while Gibbard and Chris Walla's guitar work gives the band climactic, cinematic coloring shades. And, in the end, it's Gibbard's remarkable abilities as a writer and singer that are on display most. Each word draws you in via his sweet, thoughtful guy voice. The solo 1:47 opener, Steadier Footing, is merely a starter course, but it feels like an entrÉe: And this is the chance I never got/To make a move, but we just talk is only one measure of the chances/plans/dreams/connections and relationships that have eluded him or fizzled. Reeled in, one is left to look back over one's own smoldering wreckage, of opportunities or attachments lost -- much as A Movie Script Ending's abrupt turn Passing through unconscious states/When I awoke I was on the highway somehow segues into the couplet With your hands on my shoulders/A meaningless movement, a movie script ending. Like Photobooth, it's a typically sobering, adverse assessment of how unromantic the romanticized can become. That it's a great pop song, arresting in its jerky wobble, is just another point in its, and this LP's, favor. The world needs more superb pop with brains and heart and emotional complexity.

    The Way and Color

Pivoting from the melodic psych of their previous efforts, TEEN's
second full-length The Way And Color shows the young group
condently shifting direction with their distinctly modern,
    R&B-informed pop.

Searching for inspiration following their last album, the band's
three sisters - lead singer Teeny Lieberson, keyboardist Lizzie
Lieberson and drummer Katherine Lieberson - found direction
from a simple lineup tweak, joining with bassist Boshra AlSaadi
to mine a new side of the band's sound.
What emerged was the ambitious scope of The Way And Color.
Recorded over a ten-day session in upstate New York, the band
infuses their brooding pop with minimalist beats and complex
harmonies, inspired by D'Angelo and Erykah Badu's classic
    R&B.

Amidst the album's rich patchwork, Teeny emerges as a
expressive, inspired frontwoman, touching on themes of
relationships, womanhood and power. The record's crisp
production from Daniel Schlett (DIIV) showcases her voice's
stylistic agility, from the theatrical vamping of "Rose 4 U" to the
twisting, soulful "More Than I Ask For." Toying with genre, TEEN
successfully trades in the reverb for a punchy clarity and
    newfound maturity.

    The Second Album

Back in 1995, Bay Area rap was at the big-ballin' peak of the mobb music craze, LA was chronically gripped in a G-funk indo smoke haze, Atlanta was
enjoying its Southernplayalistic days, and NYC was entering a shiny-suit phase. There was no frame of reference for two lyrical emcees experimenting
with the tonality and resonance of rhyme patterns. This was uncharted territory. The pairing of Lyrics Born and Lateef the Truthspeaker into Latyrx was an accident, LB recalls. Both emcees were solo artists, but when LB heard the pre-Endtroducing DJ Shadow beat which would become Latyrx' eponymous debut single, his reaction was, Oh my God, I gotta get on this.

Latyrx was a syllabic tour de force which began with two dissonant voices -- one gruff and bassy, the other higher-pitched and trebly, both hella fluid -- it
transmogrified into a harmonic convergence of doubled verses simultaneously assaulting eardrums. Undeniably, it was great... but weird. It was ill,
Lateef recalls. We really felt like we had something unlike anyone else had done, he adds. Latyrx' first and thusfar, only, full-length, 1997's Latyrx: the Album, set the tone for what Solesides and Quannum would do, LB recalls, while 1998's Muzappers Re-Mixes EP spawned one of the only feminist-affirming club bangers in hip-hop history, Lady Don't Tek No.

Though Latyrx never officially broke up, after Muzappers, both members followed their chosen paths to considerable solo success. Yet no matter how
much acclaim each attained individually, the notion of someday making another Latyrx record was always present. It's probably the number one thing I
got asked about in my career, LB says. 16 years (!) after the release of Latyrx: the Album, LB and Lateef have finally answered the prayers of long-starved fans who have begged, pleaded and, by now, tweeted about the possibilities of a reunion. An impromptu Latyrx set at a 2010 Jazz Mafia concert at San Francisco's Mezzanine led to an
appearance at 2011's Outside Lands festival, Google's Summer Concert Series (they were the first ever hip-hop act to perform) and a last minute
appearance as part of HITRECORD At The Movies -- a unique film and music traveling showcase curated and hosted by actor and artist Joseph Gordon-
    Levitt.

Most recently the duo have performed at the Wintersalt Festival in San Francisco last December and toured the United States with super funk group,
Galactic. Having just released a brand new EP titled 'DISCONNECTION' late last year, LB & Lateef are hard at work on the proper follow up to their debut album, a
new record aptly titled, 'THE SECOND ALBUM'.

Featuring a long list of producers and special guests, the album credits read like a music festival with artists from Tune Yards and Forrest Day to
Blackalicious and The Decemberists stepping in to help create one of the most highly anticipated records of all time. What Latyrx brings to the table is a technical difficulty level rare these days in hip-hop and matched only by a few groups in the genre's entire history: Run -DMC, Jurassic 5, Blackstar, Freestyle Fellowship. Their challenging, intricate back-and forth arrangements evoke a lyrical version of bebop, with layer
upon layer of rhythmic syncopation and vocal patterning constantly pushing the envelope.

We have a good chemistry and it's kind of unique, Lateef says. We step up each others' game content, and both of us push each other in the originality
department. What we've talked about is very simply, picking up where we left off, LB explains. The return of Latyrx stands as Very Good News for true hip-hop fans,
lyrical aficionados, boom-bap beatniks, urban bohemians, wee tots in Reeboks, and Muzappers of all shapes, sizes, colors, and ages.

    Color Changes (Pure Pleasure)

Possessor of the happiest sound in jazz, flÜgelhornist Clark Terry always plays music that is exuberant, swinging, and fun. A brilliant (and very distinctive) soloist, he gained early experience playing trumpet in the viable St. Louis jazz scene of the early '40s (where he was an inspiration for Miles Davis) and, after performing in a Navy band during World War II, he gained a strong reputation playing with the big band of Charlie Barnet (1947-1948), the orchestra and small groups of Count Basie (1948-1951), and particularly with Duke Ellington (1951-1959). Terry, a versatile swing/bop soloist who started specializing on flÜgelhorn in the mid-'50s, had many features with Ellington (including Perdido) and started leading his own record dates during that era. He recorded regularly in the 1960s including a classic set with the Oscar Peterson Trio and several dates with the quintet he co-led with valve trombonist Bob Brookmeyer.

This is one of flÜgelhornist Clark Terry's finest albums. Terry had complete control over the music and, rather than have the usual jam session, he utilized an octet and arrangements by Yusef Lateef, Budd Johnson, and Al Cohn. The lineup of musicians lives up to its potential, and the charts make good use of the sounds of these very individual stylists. The material, which consists of originals by Terry, Duke Jordan, Lateef, and Bob Wilber, is both rare and fresh, and the interpretations always swing.

    Musicians:

    • Clark Terry (trumpet, fluegel horn)

    • Jimmy Knepper (trombone)

    • Julius Watkins (french horn)

    • Yusef Lateef (tenor saxophone, flute; english horn, oboe)

    • Seldon Powell (tenor saxophone, flute)

    • Tommy Flanagan, Budd Johnson (piano)

    • Joe Benjamin (bass)

    • Ed Shaughnessy (drums)

Recording: November 1960 at Nola Penthouse Studios, New York City, by Bob d'Orleans

    About Pure Pleasure

At the beginning of the 90s, in the early days of audiophile vinyl re-releases, the situation was fairly straightforward. Companies such as DCC, Mobile Fidelity, Classic Records and, of course, Pure Pleasure all maintained a mutual, unwritten ethical code: we would only use analogue tapes to manufacture records.

During the course of the present vinyl hype, many others have jumped on the bandwagon in the hope of securing a corner of the market. Very often they are not so ethical and use every imaginable source to master from: CDs, LPs, digital files, MP3s - or employed existent tools from the 80s and 90s for manufacturing.

A digital delay is gladly used when cutting a lacquer disc because tape machines with an analogue delay have become quite rare and are therefore expensive. When cutting the lacquer, the audio signal is delayed by one LP revolution against the signal, which controls the cutter head, and for this a digital delay is very often employed. Of course, the resultant sound signal is completely digital and thus only as good as this delay.

We should like to emphasize that Pure Pleasure Records on principle only uses the original master tape as the basis for the entirely analogue cutting of lacquer discs. In addition, the pressing tool is newly manufactured as a matter of principle.

We only employ existing tools for manufacturing if an improved result is not forthcoming, e.g. the title Elvis Is Back, which was mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray, or several titles from our Philips Classics series, which in any case Willem Makkee cut from the original masters at the Emil Berliner Studios in the 90s. It goes without saying that we only used the mother and that new tools were made for our production.

To put it in a nutshell: we can ensure you that our releases are free from any kind of digital effects and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.

and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.

The Belle Album is a studio album by soul musician Al Green. It is his first album recorded without longtime producer Willie Mitchell, owner of Green's former label, Hi Records. This also marks the first instance in which Green plays lead guitar on his records. The Belle Album is one of the last in a string of secular recordings made by Green; he had recently converted to Christianity and had been ordained as a pastor, and thereafter he began creating gospel records exclusively.

    Under Color Of Official Right

There's a humanness and empathy to this material that's increasingly rare in rock songs.- Pitchfork

Their road is straight; their gospel is truth...If nothing else, the hooks alone should be enough
to keep you coming back." - Nashville's Dead

Protomartyr's sound is distinct, but hard to pin down with human language. ... It'd be much easier to describe
using a series of buzzing tones and propulsive beats, but then you'd be listening to Protomartyr.- KEXP

In a city full of brilliant people with dead-end jobs and dampened by bitter-cold winters,
playing music offers a cheap outlet. Protomartyr's taut, austere rock was incubated in a
freezing Detroit warehouse littered with beer cans and cigarette butts and warmed, feebly,
by space heaters. Short songs made for short practices, and the band learned quickly not
to waste time. Despite the cold, Protomartyr emerged with a sound that is idiosyncratic but
    relatable, hooky but off-kilter.

Protomartyr's economical rock elicits comparisons to possible antecedents like Pere Ubu
or The Fall as well as local contemporaries like Frustrations or Tyvek (whose frontman Kevin
Boyer played bass in an early iteration of Protomartyr). Singer Joe Casey's dry declarative
snarl serves as a reliable anchor, granting his bandmates - guitarist Greg Ahee, drummer
Alex Leonard and bassist Scott Davidson - the opportunity to explore textures and
reinforce the rhythm section. This is never more apparent than on the band's sophomore
LP and Hardly Art debut, Under Color of Official Right. Where 2012's No Passion All
Technique favored comparatively straightforward punk structures, Under Color takes a
more exploratory approach. "Tarpeian Rock" places punk vitriol against a minimalist
backing and "Scum, Rise!" casts shadows with guitars that alternately chime and clang.

The cheap outlet, crafted by cold hands in a poorly insulated practice space has, perhaps
unwittingly, become a model of Motor City efficiency. And, more than that, it's produced a
    stunner of a sophomore album.
