    Commando (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

    Limited Edition Of 1500

Bone With Black Face Paint Splatter Colored Vinyl

    First-Ever Release On Vinyl

2-LP Set Inside A Gatefold Jacket Festooned With Production Stills

Includes Three Tracks That Did Not Appear In The Movie

    Having released the Predator
soundtrack to great acclaim, we at
Real Gone Music now turn to another
key film in the career of Arnold
    Schwarzenegger, Mark Lester's 1985
    film Commando.

    Coming on the
    heels of the enormously successful
    first Terminator film, Commando
    showed that Schwarzenegger
wasn't just a (excuse the pun)
    robotic ex-bodybuilder on screen
but a real actor capable of
    playing a multifaceted character,
with a real gift for comedy.

Commando also heralded Schwarzenegger's arrival as the
biggest action star in Hollywood, a mantle he would cement two
years later with Predator. But the two films had more in common
than just their leading man. They both benefited from innovative,
propulsive soundtracks courtesy of, for Predator, Alan Silvestri, and,
for Commando, the great James Horner, composer of scores for
Avatar, Titanic, Braveheart, and too many blockbusters to name. For
Commando, Horner brilliantly used the South American setting of the
film as a jumping-off point, incorporating pan flute and, especially,
steel drums into pulsating, suspenseful motifs.

    For the first-ever
release of the Commando score on vinyl, we have taken the tracks
that appeared on the extended CD version-complete with three bonus cuts
of music that did not appear in the movie and The Power Station's "Someday, Somehow, Someone's Gotta Pay"-to create a double LP
set housed inside a gatefold jacket featuring production stills. Limited edition of 1500 in bone with black face paint splatter vinyl!

    All Eternals Deck

The Mountain Goats' new album is called All Eternals Deck. The songs cluster around themes of hidden things and the dread that hidden things inspire, says singer/songwriter John Darnielle, but also the excitement, the attraction, the magnetic draw that scary unknown hidden things exert. The title refers to an apocryphal tarot deck. The band approached recording sessions for All Eternals Deck as commando raids on multiple studios with several producers. We wanted to see how disparate seasons and moods and locations and producers would play out in the songs, explains Darnielle.

    Downfall Of Mankind

Brazilian all-female thrash commando unit Nervosa is synonymous with raw aggression and untamed power - a massive punch right in the face both live and immortalized on two records so far! For their third album Downfall of Mankind, the trio joined forces with producer Martin Furia who previously worked with Destruction, Flotsam & Jetsam and Evil Invaders and also toured with Nervosa as a sound engineer. The result perfectly captures the live energy and the old school character that defines the band without neglecting the strengths of a modern, compact soundscape. Riff-fests like 'Vultures' and 'Kill the silence' grab the listener by the throat and succeed with straight-ahead stomp and economical arrangements - it comes as no surprise genre legends such as João Gordo (Ratos de Porão), Rodrigo Oliveira (Korzus) and Michael Gilbert (Flotsam & Jetsam) were thrilled to be studio guests! A highly focused killing machine that will give the thrashing competition a run for its money.

Winds Of War & Peace (200 Gram Vinyl)

200-Gram Vinyl Plated And Pressed At Quality Record Pressings

Mastered By Kevin Gray At Cohearent Audio

On Winds of War and Peace, conductor Lowell Graham takes the National Symphonic Winds ensemble through a program of stirring orchestrations and marches. Liberty Fanfare was composed for the centennial celebration of the Statue of Liberty in 1986. The fanfare set the stage for one of the most spectacular celebrations in America's history. Samuel Barber's Commando March composed in 1943, represents Barber's first band work. Written in a quadruple meter, this work utilizes the constant contrast of dotted and triplet rhythms. Roger Nixon's Festival Fanfare March, was recognized for superb composition by the American Bandmasters Association in 1973. It is a work that's technical, bright in color and effervescent in spirit. The album also includes Victory at Sea, El Camino Real, A Santa Cecilla and Symphonic Dance No. 3.

Graham, a native of Greeley, Colorado, has earned recognition as one of America's most talented young conductors. He graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with both his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees. He was also the first person to be awarded the Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Orchestral Conducting from the Catholic University of America.

Graham has led orchestras and bands on record and in performance throughout the world. He is the current conductor and commander of the United States Air Force Tactical Air Command Band.

Pressed On Blood Red And "Predator Dreads" Blue Splatter Vinyl

    Limited To 1000 Copies

Sound Taken From Intrada's 2012 Complete And Definitive Edition Of The Score

Alan Silvestri's masterful score to Predator has been one of the most sought-after action film soundtracks of all time, sparking no less than three limited-edition CD releases that all successively sold out in short order. And it's little wonder; fresh from back-to-back triumphs with Romancing the Stone and Back to the Future, Silvestri employs a full orchestra, occasional, deft electronic touches, and - most of all - bruising percussion to fashion a score every bit as muscular and hard-hitting as the film itself. Among the truly inspired touches are the eerie, descending strings as the Predator descends to earth, the propulsive military march that introduces the commando team, and the simple trumpet fanfare in He's My Friend that laments the loss of a fallen comrade. Yet, because the film came out in the late-80s during the premature death of vinyl, Predator has NEVER been released on LP till now.

Real Gone is proud to present Alan Silvestri's score to Predator in a double-LP set featuring newly commissioned, custom front cover art by Rafa Wechterowicz that captures the Predator in all its ugly mother******ness, with additional stills from the production decorating the gatefold package. The sound to our release is taken from Intrada's 2012 complete and definitive edition of the score, and it comes on blood red and "Predator Dreads" blue splatter vinyl limited to 1000 copies. Get it before it disappears into the jungle!
