Double LP Cut At 45 RPM

Mastered By Bernie Grundman From The Original Analog Tape

200-Gram LPs Plated And Pressed By Quality Record Pressings

Old-Style Tip-On Heavyweight Gatefold Jacket By Stoughton Printing

"Crying" No. 69 On Rolling Stone's List Of 500 Greatest Songs Of All Time

The second Roy Orbison issued by the Monument label,
Crying was originally released in 1962 and became Orbison's
chart breakthrough, reaching No. 21 on the Billboard chart
and No. 17 in the U.K. The album name comes from the 1961
hit song of the same name that in 2002 was honored with a
    Grammy Hall of Fame Award.

By 1962, Roy Orbison had established himself as one the
leading lights out of Nashville. Still, it wasn't until he met
songwriting partner Joe Melson that things began to fall into
place for Roy. He moved to Monument Records in 1960 -
the focus in the studio was centered around exploiting the
quality and range of his voice. Soon Orbison and Melson
penned the hits "Only The Lonely" and "Running Scared."
    Orbison had arrived.

The focus on this Analogue Productions reissue of Crying
was extracting the absolute highest-quality sound from the
original analog tape. Mastered by Bernie Grundman at 45
RPM, the four sides of dead-silent 200-gram vinyl pressed
at Quality Record Pressings provide reduced distortion and
High-frequency loss as the wider-spaced grooves let your
stereo cartridge track more accurately. The heavyweight
gatefold tip-on jacket from Stoughton Printing cradles the
    LPs in style.

The Orbison-Melson penned title track zoomed to No. 2
on the Billboard charts. "Crying" is a slow-burning lament,
allowing Roy's voice to come shining through, accompanied
by strings, soulful vocals, and a dynamically great vocal
hook. Hear the Analogue Productions difference how great
this familiar tune and its album namesake can sound.

The Sky Is Crying (1991) is the fifth studio album containing performances spanning most of the career of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble.

What makes the record work is its eclectic diversity. Vaughan plays slide guitar on "Boot Hill" and acoustic on "Life by the Drop". But it's not just musical diversity that makes the record work, it's also Vaughan's emotional range.

Released about one year after Vaughan's death in 1990, the album features ten previously unreleased tracks, originally recorded between 1984 and 1989.

200-Gram Vinyl Pressed At Quality Record Pressings

All-Analog Mastering By Ryan K. Smith At Sterling Sound From The Original Tapes

Deluxe Tip-On Gatefold Jacket From Stoughton Printing

"The new remastering sounds amazing. Better than it ever did. I'm happy and pleasantly surprised."

-Chris "Whipper" Layton, Double Trouble drummer

    "This is visceral, hair-raising stuff."

-Andy Aledort, senior editor of Guitar World

"These recordings have never sounded this good, and likely will never sound better. Layers seem to have been stripped away, and the music seems to have been set free. Vaughan's guitar has new bite and edge...sonically, all questions have now been answered..."

    -Robert Baird, Stereophile

The Sky Is Crying was released after SRV's 1990 helicopter crash that took his life. The posthumously assembled 10-track outtakes collection actually proves to be one of Vaughan's most consistent albums, rivaling In Step as the best outside of the Greatest Hits collection. These songs were recorded in sessions spanning from 1984's Couldn't Stand the Weather to 1989's In Step and were left off of the LPs for whatever reason (or, in the case of Soul to Soul's "Empty Arms," a different version was used).

What makes the record work is its eclectic diversity - Vaughan plays slide guitar on "Boot Hill" and acoustic on "Life By The Drop"; he smokes on the slow blues of "May I Have a Talk With You" and the title track just as much as on the up-tempo Lonnie Mack cover, "Wham"; and he shows the jazzy side of his playing on Hendrix's "Little Wing" and Kenny Burrell's "Chitlins Con Carne."

    Cry Cry Cry

    Etching On Side D

The soaring choruses, rousing anthems, sprawling guitars and chaotic keys that make up Wolf Parade are on proud display over the course of Cry Cry Cry, the band's thunderous first album in seven years. That unique combination of sounds and influences, spearheaded by electric co-frontmen Spencer Krug and Dan Boeckner-a complex yet relatable, energetic brew of glam, prog, synth-rock, and satisfying discomfort-helped define 2000s indie rock with three critically celebrated albums, and propelled a growing Wolf Parade fandom even after the band went on a then-indefinite hiatus in 2010.

The upcoming return marks their first to be produced by Pacific Northwest legend John Goodmanson (Bikini Kill, Sleater-Kinney, Unwound) at Robert Lang Studios outside of Seattle, and is accompanied by a renewed focus and the creativity of a band that took their time getting exactly where they needed to be. It's also a homecoming to Sub Pop, which released all three of the band's previous albums. "The band itself is almost a fifth member of the band, something more or at least different than the sum of its parts," says Krug. "We don't know who or what is responsible for our sound, it's just something that naturally and consistently comes from this particular combo of musicians." In the time apart, the band scattered geographically and focused on family and other work--Spencer on his solo project Moonface, Dan on his bands Handsome Furs, Operators, and Divine Fits (with Spoon's Britt Daniel), and Dante De Caro on records with Carey Mercer's Frog Eyes and Blackout Beach. And that time allowed for an even stronger, tighter band to emerge. Wolf Parade have always tended to make albums that react against their previous work.

Compared to 2010's relatively sparse rocker Expo 86, Cry Cry Cry is more deliberate in its arrangements and embrace of the studio process, as evidenced by songs like "Valley Boy," a Bowie-inflected anthem for which Spencer wrote lyrics after Leonard Cohen died the day before the 2016 election. "You're Dreaming," also influenced by the election and the spinning shock that followed, is driving, urgent power pop that draws from artists like Tom Petty and what Dan calls one of his "default languages" for writing music. The swirly, synth-heavy crescendo of "Artificial Life" takes on the struggle of artists and at-risk communities. The album carries a sense of uprising that is not unrelated to Wolf Parade's renewed determination to drive the band forward in uncertain times. Welcome to Cry Cry Cry.

    Cry Baby

The Cry Baby album is a softpack with a full-color 32-page storybook written by Melanie Martinez and illustrated by Chloe Tersigni.

Melanie Martinez wants to tell you a story. It's fictional, but it's also about her, in a way that's somewhat exaggerated and darker than reality. The tale traces through Melanie's debut album Cry Baby, a collection of pop songs that draw inspiration from singer-songwriter folk and hip-hop and follow a character who learns to be more comfortable with who she is. The journey of the character, who Melanie dubbed Cry Baby, mirrors the musician's own.

    Far Cry

Far Cry finds multi-reedist Eric Dolphy in a transitional phase, relinquishing Parker's governing universal impact and diving into the next controversial phase that critics began calling anti-jazz. On this date Booker Little's lyrical trumpet and Jackie Byard's confident grasp of multiple piano styles (though both steeped in hard bop) were sympathetic to the burgeoning avant-garde approach that Dolphy displays, albeit sparingly, on this session.

Far Cry contains the initial performance of Dolphy's future jazz classic Miss Ann, along with his first recorded solo alto sax performance on Tenderly, in which Dolphy bridges the gap between the solo saxophone performances of Coleman Hawkins and Anthony Braxton.

Nearly half a century after his death at 36, the astonishing saxophonist and flutist Eric Dolphy is still influencing and inspiring the most adventuresome jazz musicians. Dolphy was daring and iconoclastic while fully immersed in the jazz tradition. His musicianship was so thorough that innovators like Charles Mingus and John Coltrane held him in awe. In a dream partnership, Dolphy and trumpeter Booker Little made a handful of recordings in 1960 and '61, shortly before Little's own premature death. The first of them are on this album. Included is the rare Serene, never before issued with the session's other material. With Jaki Byard, Ron Carter, Roy Haynes

Blues-rock guitar wizard Joe Bonamassa can make a set of electric six-strings burn and wail, but like many such guitarists, he still requires focus for it to be truly special. Such intense focus is a hallmark of Had To Cry Today. While some guitarists squander notes, Bonamassa makes each one count whether he's engaging in country-flavored picking (the late, great Danny Gatton was clearly an influence), blistering rock-edged blues, or turbulent, inspired jamming. Had To Cry Today delivers on Bonamassa's previous promise in a big way.

    The Cry Of Love

Remastered By Bernie Grundman From The Original Analog Masters

Originally released in 1971, and last issued on CD in 1992, The Cry Of Love was compiled and mixed by Hendrix's longtime engineer Eddie Kramer and Experience drummer Mitch Mitchell. The bulk of these tracks were recorded between December 1969 and the summer of 1970 at Electric Lady Studios in New York, and were intended to be part of an ambitious double LP tentatively titled First Rays of the New Rising Sun. Commercially, The Cry Of Love was a huge success, reaching #3 in the U.S. and #2 in the UK, and spawned favorites such as ''Angel,'' ''Freedom,'' and ''Ezy Ryder.'' While Mitch Mitchell and bassist Billy Cox comprised the rhythm section on the lion's share of the tracks, Buddy Miles played drums on ''Ezy Ryder'' and Noel Redding played bass on ''My Friend'' (recorded in 1968, before his departure from the Jimi Hendrix Experience). The Cry Of Love also includes the participation of notable guest musicians including Steve Winwood, Chris Wood and Buzzy Linhart among others.

Often obscure selections by marginal writers...it's unbelievable how believable she sounds. It really does sound like another season in her soul Album of the Week -Observer

Songs worth learning especially when sung as gorgeously as this 4/5 - Independent On Sunday

    A gorgeous album -The Times

Rumer was born and spent the very early years of her life in Pakistan. Her father's engineering job led her along with six other siblings to Darbela Dam, 30 miles northwest of Islamabad. Previously, the job had taken them to the Western Australian outback and Tasmania as well as to South Africa. . Her brother Rob gave Rumer her first guitar which she taught herself to play, and years later, she wrote all the songs on her debut album, Seasons of My Soul.

Life changed when the family returned to the UK and settled in the New Forest. Her parents having separated, Rumer was educated in Carlisle with her Dad, and spent summers in the New Forest. She left school at 16, and began to drift; studying at Art College in Devon and then joining a fledgling indie rock band, La Honda. Plays from Radio 1 followed, as did early support from NME.

Her mother died in 2003, and Rumer hit rock bottom. The lyrics of songs like 'Healer' document Rumer's journey through grief. On the dole and back in London, Rumer took action. She travelled to a stately home in the countryside, where she essentially lived as part of a commune, owned by a charismatic, philanthropic baronet.

Rumer's luck changed when she met award-winning TV and musical composer Steve Brown (It's A Wonderful Life, Spend, Spend Spend) at the Cobden Club in Kensal Rise. Rumer and Steven worked together and produced the first single 'Slow'. Having been signed to ATC Management, all corners of the industry quickly began angling for her signature. Then, in March, her hard work paid off, and Rumer finally signed to Atlantic Records. She released Seasons of My Soul, her self-penned debut album in 2010.

    Don't Cry Now (Awaiting Repress)

After her breakthrough on Capitol Records with The Stone Poneys (Different Drum) plus some acclaimed solo releases, Linda Ronstadt jumped to David Geffens bourgeoning Asylum roster, joining The Eagles and Jackson Browne to form the genesis of the California Country-Rock sound.

Dont Cry Now, her first for Asylum was released in 1973 and would help solidify Ronstadt as one of the premiere female pop vocalists for the next two decades. This is one of the most exceptional sounding female vocalist recordings of the 1970's.

Various tracks were produced by John Boylan, J. D. Souther; and, for the first time in what would be a long and highly successful relationship, British musician (Peter & Gordon) Peter Asher. The album spent more than a year on the Billboard chart and peaked at No. 45. Featured hit singles are the Eagles' Desperado, Bonnie Raitts Love Has No Pride, Randy Newmans sly observation on slavery and southern culture Sail Away plus a nod to both Dusty Springfield and the Grand Ole Opry with Silver Threads and Golden Needles.

Guest appearances include guitar work by both the Eagles Glenn Frey and super-sessionman Larry Carlton, plus harmonica by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Bands Jimmy Fadden, bass and drums by L.A.A-teamers Lee Sklar and Russ Kunkel respectively, plus last but certainly not least, the legendary Sneeky Pete adding his tasteful pedal steel throughout.

Growing up in Pittsburgh, Chuck Jackson witnessed first-hand the rise of the city's vibrant doo wop scene. Joining local heroes the Del Vikings, his smooth, commanding voice took the lead on their 1957 single "Willette." Going solo in 1959, Jackson was spotted by producer/Wand Records A&R man Luther Dixon while opening for Jackie Wilson at the Apollo Theater. With Dixon, Jackson co-wrote his first hit, "I Don't Want to Cry." The track featured a lavish band arrangement, a style Dixon had perfected during his sessions with the Shirelles. Together, Jackson and Dixon carefully crafted I Don't Want to Cry! (1961), Jackson's debut LP. A concept album dedicated to songs about crying, it finds Jackson covering mentor Wilson ("Lonely Teardrops") as well as an early Burt Bacharach-Hal David composition ("I Wake Up Crying"). Audibly in command, Jackson's vocals blend seamlessly with Dixon's arrangements, resulting in an astonishingly accomplished album. Working from the original analog reels, Sundazed has mastered this landmark LP in the rare true stereo mix. Pressed at R.T.I. on lush 180 gram vinyl, every string swell, every horn phrase and, most importantly, every vocal performance comes through in "you are there" clarity. No collection is complete without this Brill Building classic!

    So Lonesome I Could Cry

The Hi recordings of Charlie Rich are in many ways the most reckless and adventurous of his career. In 1966 and 1967, Hi, a small Memphis label that hosted acts such as Willie Mitchell (and later Al Green) and the Bill Black Combo believed, like Sun, RCA, and Mercury before them, in Rich's prodigious talent but had no idea where to put him categorically. Most are the songs associated with Hank Williams. They are revelatory in that they reveal just how wide-ranging Rich's vision was. Beginning with Williams' own My Heart Would Know, Rich takes the songs deep into his own musical soul and, like Ray Charles before him with Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music, makes them his own, turning them into timeless pop classics. Among Rich's recordings, these 12 songs are some of the most enduring. There is You Win Again, where the pedal steel becomes an instrument of timbral control and coloration and the lyric becomes a shimmying doo wop-framed melody; Hey Good Lookin' sounds as if Rich is backed by Booker T. & the MG's and the Meters simultaneously. The cool Hammond B3 run at the beginning of Nobody's Lonesome for Me takes a honky tonk tune and turns it inside out, making it a rousing party anthem. As for Williams I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry, Rich's version is among the most beautiful and emotionally naked ever recorded. The set closes with Leon Payne's They'll Never Take Her Love Away From Me. As pedal steel guitar winds out the sang lines, Rich pours virtually everything he has into Payne's deeply moving lyric. This isn't merely a sad song, it's a devastating one; it's a suicide note; but the tenderness evoked by Rich makes it among the most beautifully twisted love songs ever performed. This collection is essential for Rich fans, and something to consider for any fan of timeless, restless country-soul from the 1960s. - Thom Jurek (All Music Guide)

    Cry Is For The Flies

The garage-punk trio Le Butcherettes are like the brilliant offspring of surrealist Luis Bunuel and intrepid rock icon PJ Harvey. Led by 24-year-old
vocalist/guitarist/pianist Teri Gender Bender (a recent transplant to L.A. from Guadalajara, Mexico) Le Butcherettes bring a brazen intensity and playful,
hook-laden simplicity that hacks to pieces all forms of pretension and excess.

The band's songs and wildly cathartic live shows have often drawn comparisons to Karen-O, Patti Smith, Bikini Kill and many other female-fronted rock
groups, but there's a theatricality to Le Butcherettes that brings a further reaching sense of mystery and imagery to the band.

Originally forming as a duo, Le Butcherettes began in 2007 as the brainchild of vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Teri Gender Bender; a modern feminist who
cites Sylvia Plath and Malcolm X as major influences. Born to a Mexican stage actress mother and a father who was a fervent lover of the arts, Teri was
constantly surrounded by creative energy. Following the death of her father, Teri Gender Bender moved back to Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico to begin a
new and eventful chapter in her life, and with that the first page of Le Butcherettes was written.

    When I'm Alone I Cry

Hard as it may be to believe today, at the beginning of his career, Gaye was far more interested in crooning jazz
standards than singing soul music, and took every opportunity to vent his jazz pipes in the studio. This album
    consists of ten pop-jazz standards.
