With Dangerous, released in November 1991, Michael Jacksons career really sustained its high. The album entered the Billboard
200 album chart at number 1 and sold over 32 million copies worldwide in the space of 17 years. The RIAA certified Dangerous 7x
platinum for shipping 7 million copies in the United States. With hit singles such as Black Or White, In The Closet, Remember
The Timeh, Jamh, and Who Is Ith, and the unforgettable music videos that supported the tracks, Michael Jackson showed his true
strength by delivering yet another classic album, despite the fact that it was not produced by Quincy Jones (Off The Wall, Thriller
    and Bad).

Although Dangerous is definitely part of Jacksons quartet of classic albums (Off The Wall, Thriller, Bad, Dangerous) and shows off
a diverse range of styles, the multi-platinum number one album is sometimes overlooked. However, we present the album on 180
grams audiophile double vinyl and with remastered sound, to maximize your listening pleasure.

    Dangerous Things

Dan Layus is set to release his debut album, Dangerous Things, via Plated Records.

Dangerous Things spans influences from Hank Williams to Tom Waits, from Dwight Yoakam to Woody Guthrie. The album was recorded in Nashville at SouthxSea Studios with minimal production. The lyrics are about life's struggles and its simple joys, and harmonies are provided by Muscle Shoals' own Secret Sisters.

Primarily known as the frontman of the critically acclaimed band Augustana, Layus explains, "I always knew this album was out there waiting, I just had to let it come to me. That was the most challenging part of this record. It was three years of repeatedly realizing I was trying too hard to write a perfect song. It all started to make sense and feel good as soon as I stopped treating songwriting like it was songwriting. Somewhere along the way I decided that if an idea was going to turn into a song on this album, then it had to be written organically and purely. It had to be an inspired moment that was unfolding melodically, musically and lyrically, all while making me feel something. Subsequently, that's how I recorded the songs-I played the song live a few times in front of some microphones and when I felt something real happen, we moved onto the next one. The songs and recordings on this album are inspired by other people's stories and informed by my own experiences and I've never felt more proud or comfortable sharing an album as I feel with this one."

    Twin Danger

Noir jazz meets midnight blues in the music of Twin Danger an intriguing new group formed by Vanessa Bley and Stuart Matthewman, whose self titled, co-produced and co-written debut album is set for March 2015 release by Decca/Universal Music Classics.

Twin Danger updates a classic sound in a contemporary style with such captivating Bley/Matthewman originals as Pointless Satisfaction, Just Because, Sailor, and Coldest Kind of Heart. The album sessions also yielded one surprising cover song, a distinctively different interpretation of the hard rock track No One Knows by Queens of the Stone Age. The core of Twin Danger is Bley and Matthewman, however on-stage for their sultry live performances the band expands with a tight-knit outfit of five musicians.

As for the origin of the name Twin Danger, Vanessa Bley explains: It refers to the alter ego, the part of you that can be wild or irrational or even destructive but it's still a part of you and not accepting that is what makes it dangerous.

We're making music to get lost in. It s warm and beautiful but there are dark undercurrents revealing fundamental issues of the self. That's what makes it Twin Danger.

    Danger In The Club

While Danger In The Club, the follow-up to Palma Violets' barnstorming
debut 180, certainly trades on the primal and joyous hook-laden
rock of their debut, their sophomore LP finds the band with a new
sonic looseness, revealing far more expansive influences than the
still-quite-young quartet had on their debut.

This is the sound of a preternaturally talented group of musicians and
songwriters continuing to develop, while keeping their focus squarely
on the type of well-crafted, singalong anthems that have earned them
the adoration of fans and critics. Produced by the legendary John
Leckie, Danger In The Club is a brilliant step forward.

    Grace And Danger

Grace and Danger was originally released by John Martyn in October of 1980.

The album was written and recorded while Martyn was in the process of divorcing his wife Beverley, and the songs strongly reflect the emotional upheaval that he was experiencing at the time. Martyn and Phil Collins forged a close friendship during the writing and recording of the album with both musicians going through painful divorces at the time - Collins played drums and provided backing vocals. In fact, a strong kinship exists between Grace And Danger and Collins' contemporaneous album Face Value, which also contained a strong narrative relating to relationship breakdown.

    Gone From Danger

Although it might appear that Joan Baez has had an uphill struggle in her career as an interpretive singer in a popular music field dominated by singer/songwriters, in fact she has kept her music fresh over the years by seeking out successive generations of upcoming writers and championing their work. In the 1960s, that might have meant Bob Dylan and Richard Farina, for instance, but 30 years later she is still finding new work by young artists and popularizing it, even if they also perform the songs themselves. On her 1997 album, Gone From Danger, those songwriters are Dar Williams, Sinead Lohan and Richard shindell, each of whom contributes multiple songs, as well as Betty Elders and Mark Addison. They provide her with a host of new social issues to tackle as well, among them pedophilia (Elder's heartbreaking Crack In The Mirror) and immigration (Shindell's caustic Fishing). As usual, she proves herself a superior interpreter, intelligently presenting the complex, mature concerns of the songwriters, whether the subjects have political or emotional resonance (or both).

Where Have All The Merrymakers Gone?

Available For The First Time On Vinyl!

On Exclusive Clear Vinyl Limited To 1000 Copies

Includes Liner Notes And Essay Written By Singer Sean Nelson

Nearly two decades after its release, Seattle indie rock band Harvey Danger's cherished debut full-length album, Where have all the merrymakers gone?,
will be released on vinyl LP for the first time ever via No Sleep Records.

The Vinyl packaging for Where Have All The Merrymakers Gone? will feature new artwork, designed by band members Aaron Huffman, Evan Sult and
Sean Nelson, that features the same house where the band lived together during their early years - as depicted in the original cover art - now updated to
    reflect the passage of time.

Originally released in 1997, Where have all the merrymakers gone? catapulted the young band to stardom with the massive radio and video success of
their anthemic hit song "Flagpole Sitta." The album has since sold over half a million copies with the single still receiving regular airplay on radio stations
    across the country.

For many critics, Harvey Danger's history begins and ends with "Flagpole Sitta." However, a revisitation of Where have all the merrymakers gone? reveals
an album that transcends it's most famous song with music that is smart, sardonic and dynamic and a band that was far more than simply a "one hit
    wonder."

Harvey Danger emerged from the garages and basements of mid-'90s Seattle playing music that walked a line between indie-rock and pop-punk, with an
uncommon emphasis on the clever, heartfelt lyrics. They never sought worldwide notoriety, but managed the best they could when it was thrust upon
them. Simply put it was four kids, Aaron Huffman (bass), Jeff Lin (guitar), Evan Sult (drums) and Sean Nelson (vocals), who created a song and an album
that made a mark on rock music and whose pleasures have only deepened with time.
In preparation for the upcoming release, singer Sean Nelson wrote a foreword for the vinyl release, looking back on the album and its unexpected
    success.

"Under the long shadow of 17 years' worth of memory, I must say that listening back to the 10 songs that changed everything for us is a bracing
sensation. To hear the person you were when you weren't yet who you are now is to understand how little you understood, and to recognize how little you
even could have understood. This is doubly bracing when you consider that the person you were then had everything riding on the depth of his
understanding. It's tempting to be hard on your past self, the one who made all those idiotic mistakes, who scorched so many friendships, who insisted he
knew exactly what we was doing while steering car after car into ditch after ditch. And yet, temptations aside, it feels a lot better, and in a much bigger
way, to hoist hindsight's binoculars to your deteriorating eyes and spy something you love." (full essay from Nelson can be found in the liner notes of the
    vinyl LP).

    Dark Night Of The Soul

Dark Night Of The Soul is an album by audio auteur Danger Mouse and the already much-missed Sparklehorse. The record sees the pair joined by the following remarkable roll call of guests: The Flaming Lips, Gruff Rhys (Super Furry Animals), Jason Lytle (Grandaddy), Julian Casablancas (The Strokes), Black Francis (The Pixies), Iggy Pop, David Lynch, James Mercer (The Shins/Broken Bells), Nina Persson (The Cardigans), Suzanne Vega and Vic Chesnutt.

Rumors of this mysterious collaborative project began to circulate in early 2009 sparking widespread anticipation and excitement. Now, following months of talks, Danger Mouse and EMI announce that Dark Night Of The Soul will be released worldwide.

While this beautiful, haunting record being made widely and legitimately available is undoubtedly a cause for celebration, the news is shadowed by sadness following the recent passing of Mark Linkous, who released and performed under the Sparklehorse pseudonym. Dark Night Of The Soul will now stand as a defacto tribute to this well-loved, stunningly talented yet often-overlooked artist.

In addition to be featured on two songs, celebrated film director David Lynch has created a series of original photographs for Dark Night Of The Soul adding a spectacular visual dimension that will be incorporated in to the artwork for this already unparalleled project.

This is the inaugural offering from the group's new lineup featuring bassist Tony Campos, drummer David Kinkade, and guitar Marc Rizzo. Soulfly have become deadlier and more dangerous with each critically acclaimed successive release, but Enslaved sees them roaring like never before. The genesis of Enslaved can be traced back to Sepultura's groundbreaking and seminal album Roots in 1996.
