Zerostat 3In the laboratory the Milty Zerostat keeps film glass plastic ware and lenses dust and lint free. It also prevents charged particles from flying during weighting or transfer of particles. And the Zerostat gun finds wide use among those who possess and maintain phonograph record collections.
Each Zerostat unit is shipped with complete instructions and information about a special 'Test Procedure' to validate that the unit is working properly. Each Zerostat unit has a 'two cycle' type of operation, when the trigger is squeezed, positive ions are generated and when the trigger is relaxed, negative ions flow. This means that it is possible to induce a charge on a neutral surface using the Zerostat. If the trigger is squeezed and the Zerostat is then removed from the surface (before allowing the trigger to return to its original position) a positive charge will be induced. Similarly, pointing the Zerostat at the surface only for the release of the trigger will induce a negative charge.
Each squeeze of the trigger results in a discharge, when stated in units of charge, is 1.5 Coulombs. One can reasonably expect on the order of 10,000 such 'squeeze cycles' during the lifetime of the Zerostat. The Zerostat needs no batteries or electrical supply nor does it contain any radioactive components.
The Zerostat is lightweight highly portable and easy to control and handle.$100.00Buy Now

To The Death 84 (Awaiting Repress)Voivod originally formed in 1983, with a weird hybrid of thrash metal and punk, a sound that made them stand out as a unique band from the beginning. Still together after almost 30 years, having made more than a dozen albums and toured the world, the Canadian group reaches back to the beginning of their career for their first Alternative Tentacles release.
Voivod began as four friends who met in high school and decided to get together to play some heavy music. Growing up in Northern Quebec in an aluminum factory area called Saguenay (which they dubbed Morgoth Land), they shared a liking of Venom, Motörhead, Tank, Discharge and GBH, as well as obscure prog and krautrock bands like Van Der Graaf Generator, Faust and Can. They were scared of the threat of a nuclear war and Reagan-era concepts such as the Strategic Defense Initiative, and had a dystopian view of the future.
To the Death 84 is 70 minutes of loud, blistering metal/punk. Recorded live in the bands jam space in January of 1984 with an old tape recorder and a couple of microphones, it nonetheless sounds great and hits as hard today as it did back then. This demo tape was sent to all the fanzines the band knew of at the time, and has circulated among collectors for years. The lineup for these recordings was Snake (Denis BÉlanger) on lead vocals, Piggy (Denis DAmour) on guitar, Blacky (Jean-Yves ThÉriault) on bass and Away (Michel Langevin) on drums. The track listing includes songs from War and Pain, their debut album, and six others, including a Mercyful Fate cover and two Venom covers.1. Voivod

Nothing Violates This Nature (Awaiting Repress)Boston hardcore super group, and all-around ass kickers, All Pigs Must Die continue the onslaught that their debut album God Is War started with a healthy ten song offering of bludgeoning metal akin to felony assault with a lead pipe. As is the common theme of a healthy minority of the roster that California label Southern Lord has cultivated, All Pigs Must Die's sophomore LP Nothing Violates This Nature grabs you by the balls instantly in the opener "Chaos Arise", as if the schizophrenic and lightening quick hi-hat count off from Ben Koller the instant after hitting the play button isn't subtle enough. As you can imagine from the band name, Nothing Violates This Nature lacks any form of subtlety in its sonic barrage of hate-filled anthems, chalk full of ferocity, violence, aggression, and nihilism. Taking about as much influence from the recent trend of aggressive Entombed worship metal groups, to the "fuck you"-attitude of Discharge punks, All Pigs Must Die cater to focused, yet highly devout following in a new wave of heavy music.
Nothing Violates This Nature rarely lets up on the gas pedal throughout its ten song length. Whether the quasi black metal tremolo opener of "Primitive Fear", to even the hauntingly acoustic opener "Of Suffering" before plummeting into a doom inspired dirge, Nothing Violates... runs the gamut of a plethora of extreme heavy metal genres, not necessarily reinventing the wheel by any means but still packing enough of a punch to appreciate its ferocity on every listen. That being said, Nothing Violates This Nature won't throw many curve balls your way, but for those in the need to get their fill of anger and aggression out this is most definitely the album to pick up and put on repeat. An ass kicking from top to bottom, All Pigs Must Die's sophomore album is rife full of killer with next to nil filler.

Elvis Is Back! is the tenth studio album by American singer and musician Elvis Presley. It was originally released on RCA Victor Records in April 1960. Recorded over two sessions in March and April, the album marked Presley's return to recording after his discharge from the U.S. Army.
In 1957, as Presley's fame was soaring, he received a draft notice from the Memphis Draft Board, but was given a deferment so he could finish his latest film production, King Creole. During Presley's two-year military service in Germany, RCA Victor and Paramount Pictures progressively released material he had completed prior to enlistment. During his last months in the Army, Presley experimented with new sounds and worked on further improving his performance. He also prepared material for his first session in Nashville, which was scheduled to take place upon his return. Presley returned to the United States on March 2, 1960. The singer reunited with his original band The Blue Moon Boys, excepting bassist Bill Black. The first session was held on March 20-21 and the second session was held on April 3-4, completing the album.
Elvis Is Back! topped the UK Albums Chart and reached number two in Billboard's Top LPs. Initially, the release received mixed reviews, but over subsequent years its critical reception became progressively more positive. The album was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America in 1999.1. Make Me Know

Back To The FrontExplaining the relevance and influence of ENTOMBED is probably as superfluous as pointing out why Slayer rule, Lemmy is bigger than God and Dio the greatest loss in metal history. A legend is a legend. Fullstop. F**k off!
If you still require a proper explanation that is less shot from the hip, well let us start with this: The Swedish Death Metal forefathers and genre innovators have inspired tons of bands all around the globe with their invincible trademark sound. However, as the band's last album "Serpent Saints - The Ten Amendments" dates back to 2007, there is definitely more than a good reason for a bit of catch-up and ask why it took so long to finish the band's superb 10th opus, programmatically titled "Back To the Front", vocalist extraordinaire L-G Petrov states:
""Serpents " was a fairly good album but a little weak compared to previous works and the distribution wasn't that great yet we continued playing shows throughout the past years but never really got going with new songs. At some point we decided that it was time for a new album, so we sat down and played riffs that we had from before as well as many new riffs and started putting them together which really sparked our motivation. That really gave us a push! We feel that this is the best album so far in many years and I think you can hear it on the album!"
Thematically, the will and determination to back up such words with fantastic songs is reflected in the powerful album title and part of the concept of the record as guitarist Nico Elgstrand describes:
"A lot of the album is about being at war in different ways and struggles/shortcomings of mankind, so we felt that "Back To The Front" fitted really well. It has a military reference obviously and we also feel like a platoon (ha ha, a small platoon) that has been behind the frontlines for a long time anxious to get back into battle. Not mean and lean but rather fat and bored and really keen on getting back to what we do best, which of course is to kill! Metaphorically speaking needless to say, ha ha. Also it is a very direct way of saying we've been away for way too long, we know and that we will now aim to stay at the front until the friggin' battle is won! The cavalry has finally arrived if you will (without horses though, ha ha)!"
Well spoken, Sir, yet expectations will be incredibly high on this one as ENTOMBED's roots and legacy goes way back into the year 1987 when they formed under the name NIHILIST. In 1989 the formation changed its name to ENTOMBED and together with Morbid (for whom singer LG played drums), Treblinka/Tiamat, Grave and Dismember, ENTOMBED/NIHILIST established themselves among the earliest bands to forge the immortal Swedish death metal sound that became really popular and unique due to its punkish roots and especially that chainsaw guitar sound, today inseparably linked to terms like "Skogsberg", "Sunlight Studio" or just "Stockholm sound". Inspired by such diverse acts as Autopsy, Motörhead, Discharge or Kiss, over the years ENTOMBED did not shy away from thinking outside of the coffin resulting in a style some fans called Death'n'Roll but in the end it was, is and will be just a band with a style and impact entirely their own.
So, what awaits the listener on "Back To The Front"? Produced by Roberto Laghi (In Flames, Hardcore Superstar) at Studio Bohus (Abba, Europe) in KunÄlv, it's 666% true to the ENTOMBED everybody loves. While not falling for total regression back to the early classics "Left Hand Path" or "Clandestine", it is a total bone-crushing opus that will have fans of all periods cry tears of joy and even the most stubborn fan of the early days join in shame. "The goal was to have riffs that felt fresh and exciting, to make an album that felt old school as well as fresh and up to date, showing who ENTOMBED are today," L-G puts it quite simply and Nico continues: "I thoroughly enjoy the fact that I find it super hard to pick 2 or 3 songs as the best of it, because i really like 'em all. I think that they all have something new and fresh yet it feels very old school in some way. "Kill To Live" with its surprising ENTOMBED-intro turned out very cool and the track also has an almost cinematic yet classic metal feel to it, dunno why, but it just invigorates me. "Second To None" kinda makes me wanna drive a tank while listening, and that to me is how proper metal should sound! It makes you wanna do mighty things so to speak!"
From the morbid, pissed-off lyrics over detuned, massive riffs to the inimitable brick-heavy groove and LG Petrov's titanic roar, "Back To The Front" not only musically but also visually with its stunning painting by Necropolitus Cracoviensis Zbgniew Bielak II (Watain, Ghost, Vader) seems to send a respectful nod to the old school as L-G confirms: "The skull will always be a part of ENTOMBED. I totally agree, we have taken away some of the rock parts and gone with more metal, and I think fans new and old will appreciate that."
With European touring under way in December with label mates and black metal genre leaders WATAIN - vocalist Erik actually penned lyrics for the song "Carnage" (from "When In Sodom" EP, 2006) - and former band member Nicke Andersson contributed parts to the new song "Vulture And The Traitor", the Swedish metal platoon ENTOMBED anno 2013 has all its weapons polished and reloaded and is ready to shatter the entire music scene with an uncompromising full frontal assault. So, let us all enjoy "Back To The Front" and celebrate the fact that the legend called ENTOMBED has finally returned. Goddamn!1. Kill To Live

BacdafucupAt the time that Bacdafucup hit the record racks and airwaves, Onyx seemed to be inventing a genre all their own: heavy metal rap. Of course, on closer inspection, it is not at all surprising stylistically, given their link to Def Jam and Run DMC, the record company and crew that introduced heavy guitar riffs into hip-hop. Onyx, though, seemed far more threateningly hardcore than Run DMC ever were, and each song on their debut album seems like a quick-triggered, menacing chip set squarely on the shoulders of MCs Big DS, SuavÉ, Fredro, and Sticky Fingaz. That the entire album from beginning to end circumvents almost any backlash by being so brilliantly catchy as well, is a sterling tribute to how strong a quartet Onyx truly is on this first effort. The group gives the impression that they wanted to spotlight the sort of cartoonish, directionless anger that existed in a lot of hardcore rap, and then funnel that sort of energy into songs full of singalong choruses and joyous, chanted hooks that lend a certain feeling of camaraderie to the whole album. The release is mostly co-produced by Run DMC's Jam Master Jay and newcomer Chyskillz, and its music has a tense, wired edge that amplifies the vividness of the threatening lyrics. Sonically, it has a hardcore East Coast/New York City cast, full of throbbing bass and screeching siren-like effects. The grimy urban vibe is matched by Onyx's narrative thuggery, discharged straight from the streets like pumped-up news dispatches and predating the roughneck rap trend by several years. It's hard to imagine, given the gritty content of the album, that Onyx was aiming for airplay with Bacdafucup; nevertheless, almost in spite of itself, it was so good that it earned just that.

Arisen New Era (Awaiting Repress)Blue And White Colored Vinyl
Unique Leader Records confirms that French death metal legion, KRONOS, will drop their Arisen New Era long player upon the masses. Recorded, mixed and mastered by David Potvin at Dome Studios (Lyzanxia, Arcania, Under The Abyss etc.) in Angers, France, the band's latest slab of audio menace features nine scalding tracks of unrelenting barbarity adorned in the distinctive cover art of Pierre Alain (Withering Soul, Silentlie, Cyrax etc.).
A name derived from the Greek god of time, Kronos (or Cronus), father of Zeus, KRONOSwas forged over fifteen years ago and quickly established a name for themselves based solely on their musical unity of harmony and violence. Featuring a continuous textual reference to the gods of ancient civilizations, KRONOS punctures ears with a heightened level of dynamics accomplished by only by a select number of bands. It all began in a small town in the Northeastern province of Alsace-Lorraine. Following various lineup shifts and musical experimentation, the pandemonium squad recorded their first demo in 2000. One year later, KRONOS would unleash their Titan's Awakening debut. Produced entirely by the band, the lethal creation lead to a union with French imprint Warpath Records. By the end of 2001, Titan's Awakening was expelled once again into the world, this time with a brand new cover designed by Deather (Gurkkhas, Vital Remains, Angel Corpse) as well as a visually disquieting booklet.
KRONOS later joined forces with Spanish label Xtreem Music run by Avulsed's Dave Rotten, for the unleashing of their next two full-lengths. Second offering, Colossal Titan Strife was discharged in 2004 to the applause of underground critics in the proverbial know. Metal Crypt commended the band's "diversified guitar work intricate drum patterns wicked guitar solos and.. good number of catchy yet non-compromising hooks," further insisting, "This French outfit is definitely worth checking out," while Sputnik Music championed, "an impressive album that shows off the capabilities of death metal done right. KRONOSmanaged to pack a metric ton of creativity into each song and you will barely hear the same riff twice." Added Last Rites simply, "worth your time if you need some solid, well-produced death metal." Third offspring, The Hellenic Terror, emerged in April 2007 and served as an attestation of the band's enormous capacity for skilled execution and originality. Said Metal Crypt in a near perfect review of the release, "The Hellenic Terrorcontains more melodic sections than Colossal Titan Strife, but still possesses almost as much brutality . KRONOS is one of the few death metal bands that manage to be melodic, brutal and still remain catchy as hell in their riffs and solos. This is definitely a must-have for fans of death metal."

Blodets BandFormed in Copenhagen only two years ago, the riotous young act, HALSHUG, unloads some of the most traditionally-styled but urgently unloaded traditional crust punk/d-beat hardcore to be found. The enraged sentiment of archetypal leaders of the genre, Doom, Anti Cimex, and no doubt, Discharge, and direct influence drawn from Infernöh, Hoax and Death Token, is unapologetic in its presence in the band's delivery, which, fueled by society's modern-day ills, finds HALSHUG already in line with Nuclear Death Terror, Wolfbrigade, Skitsystem and the best of the movement's current top acts.$11.99Vinyl LP - Sealed Buy Now

Manifest Decimation (Awaiting Repress)Dallas band Power Trip play frantic crossover thrash that makes for amazing live shows. (They've toured, and are pals with, Trash Talk, and more than hold their own.) At any given time, whirling dervish Frontman Riley Gale can sound like Lemmy fronting Cro-Mags, Discharge, Exodus, or Nuclear Assault; other times, he locates a grizzlier tone that evokes guys wearing corpsepaint.
On the quintet's huge-sounding eight-song debut LP Manifest Decimation on Southern Lord, they match the live intensity: The collection, which follows demos, 7's, and compilation appearances, finds the band easily filling 35 minutes with great riffs, catchy shout-along choruses, legit mosh parts, and brief ambient excurisions that don't take away from the overall intensity. The Lowdown Back Porch Blues (Pure Pleasure)Louisiana Red (born Iverson Minter) was a flamboyant guitarist, harmonica player, and vocalist. He lost his parents early in life through multiple tragedies; his mother died of pneumonia a week after his birth, and his father was lynched by the Klu Klux Klan when he was five.
Red began recording for Chess in 1949, then joined the Army. After his discharge, he played with John Lee Hooker in Detroit for almost two years in the late '50s, and continued through the '60s and '70s with recording sessions for a number of labels. Louisiana Red moved to Hanover, Germany in 1981, and maintained a busy recording and performing schedule through the subsequent decades into the new millennium. He died in Germany in 2012 when his thyroid imbalance brought on a stroke.
Recorded in New York with Tommy Tucker, Lowdown Back Porch Blues is Louisiana Red's first album and, in many ways, it's his best. Supported by a bare-bones rhythm section, Red plays a number or traditional tunes and originals. His guitar is nearly as powerful and overwhelming as his vocals, making this a truly compelling listen.

About Pure Pleasure
At the beginning of the 90s, in the early days of audiophile vinyl re-releases, the situation was fairly straightforward. Companies such as DCC, Mobile Fidelity, Classic Records and, of course, Pure Pleasure all maintained a mutual, unwritten ethical code: we would only use analogue tapes to manufacture records.
During the course of the present vinyl hype, many others have jumped on the bandwagon in the hope of securing a corner of the market. Very often they are not so ethical and use every imaginable source to master from: CDs, LPs, digital files, MP3s - or employed existent tools from the 80s and 90s for manufacturing.
A digital delay is gladly used when cutting a lacquer disc because tape machines with an analogue delay have become quite rare and are therefore expensive. When cutting the lacquer, the audio signal is delayed by one LP revolution against the signal, which controls the cutter head, and for this a digital delay is very often employed. Of course, the resultant sound signal is completely digital and thus only as good as this delay.
We should like to emphasize that Pure Pleasure Records on principle only uses the original master tape as the basis for the entirely analogue cutting of lacquer discs. In addition, the pressing tool is newly manufactured as a matter of principle.
We only employ existing tools for manufacturing if an improved result is not forthcoming, e.g. the title Elvis Is Back, which was mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray, or several titles from our Philips Classics series, which in any case Willem Makkee cut from the original masters at the Emil Berliner Studios in the 90s. It goes without saying that we only used the mother and that new tools were made for our production.
To put it in a nutshell: we can ensure you that our releases are free from any kind of digital effects and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.1. Red's Dream

NoctunesWillis Earl Beal was born on the South Side of Chicago. He would never consider it home. An odd kid, he spent a lot of his youth talking with his grandmother, who would entertain his endless questions about the universe and encourage his love of drawing. He developed an obsession with Batman that would last well into his teenage years, when he enlisted in the U.S. Army as a form of vigilante training. Willis Earl Beal died on an army base in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. While in boot camp he was plagued with physical and mental abuse, health complications (which would later require surgery and the removal of large portions of his intestine) forced his discharge. He moved back home. "When that all broke down," Beal says. "I lost a piece of myself." Willis Earl Beal was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After a stint of homelessness there, he worked odd jobs and rented a studio apartment. Though he'd never learned to play any instruments, he began to record raw, lo-fi albums with hand-drawn covers that he'd leave at coffee shops around town alongside flyers seeking a girlfriend with his phone number written on them. Those artifacts would eventually find their way to the cover of Found magazine, then to Jamie-James Medina at XL Recordings. Beal signed with XL's Hot Charity imprint in 2012. Willis Earl Beal died in New York City. Despite the release of two critically well-received albums on XL-Acousmatic Sorcery, a collection of his early home recordings, and a fully orchestrated studio album he recorded in Amsterdam called Nobody Knows-he was a mess. "I'd drink myself into stupors," he says. "I'd walk around in the daytime, crying, then I'd go downtown. The police would bring me home in the morning." Willis Earl Beal was born on a lake twenty miles outside Olympia, Washington. After ending his contract with XL, Beal went to live in the woods, and began an artistic transformation entirely of his own design, from rough-edged outsider-art provocateur to the kind of mysterious crooner one might expect to haunt the outskirts of Twin Peaks. "People had all these ideas about what I was supposed to be," he says. "I had only ever wanted to make lullabies." Beal's development played out over two self-released EPs and a full-length album, and then Beal built the patient, ambient-leaning Noctunes. The album's twelve songs are moving and meditative, thoroughly soaked with mournful synth strings and simple lyricism that Beal says is intentionally minimalistic. "I wanted to create this persona that could say everything perfectly with very little," Beal says. "The record, to me, is a perfect record. I listen to that thing a lot, and it helps me." Willis Earl Beal has yet to be born. Critics and publicists defined him before he'd had a chance to define himself. Their expectations were inextricably linked with race and gender, two concepts Beal thoroughly rejects. Now, two extremely productive years removed from the spotlight, Beal doesn't feel pressure to define himself against anything. His new music is shockingly original, utterly confident, and as ephemeral as Beal himself. He levitates above definition, concerned only with self-discovery and truth-seeking. "I know it sounds falsely altruistic," he says. "But I think a simple voice like mine can serve as an example of some kind of freedom."1. Under You

Legion: XXPressed On Green Smoke-Colored Vinyl
RIAA-certified, Billboard chart-topping, Richmond, VA band LAMB OF GOD may be one of the biggest bands in modern metal, but they will never forget where they came from. Mark Morton (guitar), John Campbell (bass), and Chris Adler (drums) formed the first incarnation of the band, BURN THE PRIEST, in the winter of 1994 after meeting four years earlier as students at Virginia Commonwealth University. Less than a year later, in the summer of 1995, they met vocalist Randy Blythe before adding Chris Adler's brother, Willie Adler (guitar), prior to transitioning to LAMB OF GOD - and the rest is global metal history.
Guitarist Mark Morton says, "To truly understand the essence of the band BURN THE PRIEST, one must first consider the landscape in which it began: the mid-90s. Grunge and alternative music ruled the airwaves. Social media and the internet had yet to assume their role as our collective sources for entertainment and cultural exchange. It was a time when DIY 'zines turned us onto new bands and regional scenes, and 'copy and paste' still implied a print shop and a glue stick."
BURN THE PRIEST's self-titled debut album, released via Philadelphia-based Legion Records, documented what was, in essence, a primal punk band performing metal. Ultimately, as they grew in local popularity, the five-piece chose to stray away from their name to avoid being associated with satanic metal, choosing the name LAMB OF GOD.
Morton continues, "As our sound and songs developed, so did our goals we began playing basement parties and warehouse shows and in doing so, we realized that the energy we were creating was transferable. The shows we played in those squats and warehouses [in Philadelphia] and the people we met there are forever embedded in our collective consciousness and the DNA of our band."
As they enter their 20th year since releasing their first self-titled album as BURN THE PRIEST, the band will release a full-length covers album that reflects on the greatness of classic punk, hardcore, crossover and noise - rock subgenres that contributed to what LAMB OF GOD - and indeed, the world - now view as modern heavy metal.
As BURN THE PRIEST, the band presents Legion: XX - featuring tracks originally performed by CRO-MAGS, AGNOSTIC FRONT, QUICKSAND, MINISTRY, BAD BRAINS, MELVINS, S.O.D., THE ACCUSED, BIG BLACK and Richmond punk band SLIANG LAOS. The tracks are performed with the unmistakable precision that has kept the band vital for two decades, but ultimately harks back to the raw, punk-driven sound first explored by four unsuspecting college students and a line cook-turned-vocalist in their formative years. Produced with Josh Wilbur at the helm, Legion: XX exhibits BURN THE PRIEST in their true element.
"Our inauspicious beginnings somehow grew into something none of us had ever even imagined possible, let alone aspired to, however, this is the story of BURN THE PRIEST," adds Morton. "The songs we chose to cover on this album reflect that story. They are touchstones from that point in time. The inspiration we gleaned from these bands and these songs carries through our work and our creative pursuits, even to this day. Many thanks to these bands for lighting our fire and endless gratitude to our fans around the world for keeping it lit."
"I've been an ACCUSED fan since I was 14 when they were on the »Thrasher Skate Rock Volume 3« compilation with C.O.C. and all these amazing crossover bands," says frontman Randy Blythe. "Their singer Blaine Cook was a huge influence on me, vocally."
Drummer Chris Adler recalls, "'Inherit The Earth' hit me in the face soon after I managed to get my grubby mitts on the album sometime around '88. I got the ACCUSED record at a "Yellow Banana" record store on Route 1 south of DC while in route back from my "counselor" to my home in Woodbridge, Virginia. I got home and grabbed my board and I rocked it on my Discman. At about 2:12 into the tune the clouds parted above me and on a loudspeaker, God bellowed down to me, 'RECEIVE YOUR PURPOSE.' That was the moment I knew that if I tried hard enough, I could convey myself and how I felt - with music. It will never be "ours," and we know that about all the tunes we've covered, but hopefully one of them hit you in the face as I had been, and God will part the clouds for you, too."
Blythe adds, "I have a radio show on Gimmie Radio, and [the station] is all metal shows except for mine. I do the punk rock show because I want to show the direct correlation between my band, and the punk scene going back to THE MC5 and THE STOOGES. There is a direct link - look at old pictures of METALLICA, SLAYER and ANTHRAX, and they're wearing MISFITS, D.R.I., and C.O.C. t-shirts. They fused the technicality of metal with the intensity of punk rock. Before them, metal was like in slow motion. Speed metal bands were listening to DISCHARGE. I beat that drum all the time when I talk to kids."
