    B-Room

First 5000 Limited Edition LP's Contain 7" & CD Of Full Album

Dr.Dog's third studio album on Anti, BRoom, marks the band's greatest point of clarity in more than a decade of performing and recording. Their arrangements, while still ambitious, are much simpler, moving past the multitracked pastiche of earlier efforts into a unique and vibrant band voice. Indeed, it is this discovery of the bandcollective as a compositional tool that makes BRoom the most cohesive, soulful, loose, and plain fun record of their career.

The title of BRoom references the bands newly built studio, an integral part of making the new album; the band built the new studio themselves, from the studs to the sheet rock to the recording booth. As
Leaman now understands, making a record is a lot like doing construction. Both require a similar amount of frustration, intensity, and cohesion. By building the space first and releasing all of that emotion, the band was then free to engage in their creative process without the expectation or preconception that they admittedly had brought into
    other sessions.

Recording many of the album's tracks as live takes, Dr.Dog discovered the soul roots always inherent in their Philadelphia background. "The Truth",the Gamble and Huff inspired track that opens the album, is only the most obvious manifestation; on songs like "Minding the Usher" and "Love" the spontaneity of the band's live performances seamlessly fuses
with the intricacy of their kaleidoscopic composition. From the construction of the studio to the recording of the album that took place within its walls, the band has found that boundless moment of creativity where their spirit and soul coexist.

    The Psychedelic Swamp

The Psychedelic Swamp is Dr. Dog's ninth album, and third studio release with ANTI- Records. Most of the songs were among the first ever written together by Scott McMicken and Toby Leaman and an assemblage of friends and musical cohorts that would evolve as Dr. Dog over the years. This early endeavor of writing a concept album helped shape their creative process as they became a label-defying multi-hyphenated indie-psychedelic-rock-folk-Americana-basement-touring band.

The Psychedelic Swamp could very well have been Dr. Dog's first album. It could have been their only album; or it could have never been made at all. It's either a refined culmination of 15 years of collaborative music-making or the raw instrument on which they cut their teeth. This chicken vs. egg debate will be for historians to decide; fact is that if The Psychedelic Swamp was half-baked back in 2001, it has been reborn in 2016, fully baked.

    Shame Shame

There was this feeling inside me going into making this record that we'd never made an album before, says guitarist/vocalist Scott McMicken of Dr. Dog's Shame, Shame, their Anti-debut and the first album made outside the safe confines of their home studio. Having evolved from a band whose primary creative outlet was the album making process into one that favored the energy of their live performances, they knew they wanted to document the new dynamic they had developed on the road. Producer Rob Schnapf (Beck, Elliott Smith) was brought in to help peel back the intricate arrangements of last album Fate to reveal the raw immediacy of a tight five-man unit honing their craft.

Dr. Dog has created a song cycle of doubt and despair, bookended with the woozily swirling harmonies of Leaman's lonely opener Stranger and the harsh self-critique of the title track, a gnarled admission that sometimes it's best to admit your mistakes and move on. Their most openly autobiographical release, ranging from McMicken's exploration of West Philly underlife in Shadow People to his account of two soul-bearing late night conversations in Jackie Wants a Black Eye, Shame, Shame is an album whose dark themes are soothed by bright harmonies, taut guitar riffs, and soaring melodies. Shame, Shame is the release that will announce Dr. Dog to a wider world, a world waiting for the timeless songwriting and melodies of their finest album.

Featuring The Classic No. 1 Hit Single Jessie's Girl

Working Class Dog is the fifth studio album by Australian rock musician Rick Springfield, originally released in 1981. The album was certified Platinum in America and eventually sold over three million copies. It produced Springfield's biggest career hit with the #1 million-selling smash hit Jessie's Girl.

Springfield was awarded the 1982 Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance. Working Class Dog reached No.7 on the Billboard 200. Another top 10 single from the album was the Sammy Hagar-penned I've Done Everything for You.

Love Is Alright Tonite was used to comedic effect in the film Wet Hot American Summer. Jessie's Girl is part of a prominent scene in the cult movie Boogie Nights.

Rick Springfield has become somewhat of a cult hero in recent years, starring in several episodes of Californication in which he plays a twisted version of himself, a hedonistic Rick Springfield from the past. He also starred in Ho'ohuli Na'au, an episode of Hawaii Five-0 and had a recurring role on True Detective as a psychiatrist named Dr. Irving Pitlor.

Wild Child's new album Expectations is the band's
most nuanced work to date. They've stretched their songwriting abilities
on this record to both reflect and expand further upon their unique sound,
and the album expertly rides the wave of genres that flows between
    beautifully sentimental acoustic to loud,
    distorted rock and back again.

The band enlisted the help of several heavy-hitting producers to make
this record: Chris Walla (formerly of Death Cab for Cutie), Matthew Logan
Vasquez (Delta Spirit), Chris Boosahda (Shakey Graves), Scott McMicken
(Dr. Dog), Adrian Quesada (Grupo Fantasma), and Max Frost.

    Hardcore Friends

Eric Slick and Dom Angelella are infinitely busy-Slick plays drums in Dr. Dog and Angelella writes songs for DRGN KING-but they finally orchestrated the time, nearly a decade into the bands life, to record their debut full-length album, Hardcore Friends. Recorded in five days by Joe Reinhart (Hop Along, Joyce Manor) and Kyle Pulley at The Headroom Studios in Philadelphia, Hardcore Friends spans the last ten years of their friendship. Hardcore Friends features unshakeable guitars and genuine lyrics that invoke the likes of Stephen Malkmus and Archers of Loaf. Lithuania is just as capable of writing a dawdling and quiet song, "Coronation Day," showing off their softer side with acoustic guitars, synthesizers, and Angelella's mollifying vocals. The album closer "Hardcore Friends," features guest vocals from friends Frances Quinlan (Hop Along) and Rachel Browne (Field Mouse).

Includes Two Unreleased Tracks Not Available Anywhere Else

Victoria, B.C.'s Current Swell is set to release their new album, Ulysses, on May 6, 2014. The 12-tracks
on Ulysses perfectly deliver the band's textured, deep-groove sound while capturing the energy of their live
show, which has earned them scores of fans across The Americas, Australia and Europe. The band will
debut many of these new songs next month in Austin during SXSW.

Ulysses was produced by Nathan Sabatino (Dr. Dog, Neko Case, Giant Sand) at Vancouver's iconic
Greenhouse Studios. The album captures every bit of warmth the studio's massive Neve console could
provide, as heard on "Rollin'" (a showcase for Stanton's exemplary slide work), the title track "Ulysses,"
rocker "Keys to the Kingdom" and the readymade sing-along "One Day I'll Be Rich."
While Current Swell spent the better part of six months recording their previous album (and Nettwerk
debut), 2012's Long Time Ago, the four band members entered the studio with a clear goal and knocked
    Ulysses out in 20 days.

From appearances at key festivals from Australia to Canada (Byron Bay Bluesfest, Peats Ridge, Rock
The Shores, Ottawa Bluesfest and more), to sold-out headline tours of Brazil, to support slots with such
established artists as Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, Dispatch, Xavier Rudd, K'Naan, The
Tragically Hip and even The Beach Boys, Current Swell's infectious sound and raucous live shows have
earned the quartet scores of devoted fans around the word. In 2011, Current Swell earned first place at
Vancouver's Peak Performance Project and headlined a Canada Day concert to a crowd of 45,000.

    This Is Steve

This is Steve, DELICATE STEVE's first new record in 4 years, and first for the ANTI- imprint, is an articulation of his spirit. Joy. Love. Positivity. Perseverance. Meditation. A general communion with the people and world around him. Easy to call such things hackneyed in this cynical time, but in Steve's case, it's very hard to separate the person from the art. It's real. It's pure. This, is Steve. Melody begins with the needle drop on This is Steve, and it's this hallmark as a songwriter on display in tune after tune that has defined all of DELICATE STEVE's work. It's his incredible capacity to write wordless songs that are impossible not to sing along to. He works in no genre, there are no words, but there is never a question as to what he is saying.

DELICATE STEVE (aka Steve Marion) had cornered the status of 'your favorite band's favorite band', as Steve himself became a fixture in and an on-demand collaborator among disparate scenes, players, and bands, making some of the most celebrated and forward thinking music today: Co-signs and work with David Byrne, Dirty Projectors, tUnE-yArDs, Mac DeMarco, Dr. Dog, and most recently, providing guitar on Paul Simon's new record. Likely the only guitarist alive who will cut records with Sondre Lerche and Death Grip's Zach Hill.

Steve produced and played all the instruments on this record. He created it as an introduction from himself to you, and named it appropriately. If there is a question as to who This is Steve's creator is, you'll find it imbued in these ten songs. As he has done from the start, Steve lets the music speak for itself. Without a word.

Falling Faster Than You Can Run

Well, it doesn't take long for Falling Faster Than You Can Run to reveal that Nathaniel Rateliff isn't in a very good place. His deep funk is revealed very quickly on the opening track 'Still Trying': "If you roll in it long enough/your shit won't even smell" sings Rateliff, in between crying out, unaccompanied, "I don't know/I don't know/a god damned thing".

And that's the feeling that sticks throughout this, often very fine, new record from Denver, Colorado's Missouri-born Rateliff. On his second full-length album (dropping the & the Wheel from his name) loneliness is writ large: not the kind of loneliness from actually being along, but the kind that comes from being constantly surrounded by people yet unable to shake the feeling of complete isolation. Rateliff has toured with many, many acts over the past few years and most recently has spent time with Dr Dog and fellow Denver act (and friends) The Lumineers. Thankfully, Rateliff rarely sounds like his friends (you might say I'm not a fan) and instead writes and plays music with a lot of heart and soul. It's often his voice that's the star of the show thanks to the subtly-arranged instrumentation: part matured Kurt Wagner burr and part throat-ravaged bluesman ( a bit The Tallest Man on Earth) it's a voice you could listen to all day. But good voice is nothing without good songs, and Rateliff comes with plenty of ammunition on Falling Faster Than You Can Run.

"Still Trying" is an arresting opener; while Rateliff's heart-wrenching roars are the highlight, the backing isn't too shabby either - acoustic guitar and bass drum battle for the spotlight on a ragged country song, and it sounds authentic, like Rateliff has lived what he's singing. And things get better quickly: "I Am" is mostly just Rateliff and his guitar, as broaches his isolation singing: "you'll never know what's buried there / less you dig around". The music swells as he sings the title over and over, following a similar pattern to the album opener. But before things get too familiar, Rateliff picks up the pace with a couple of full band numbers that could almost be considered jaunty, if we were to ignore the lyrics. "Don't Get Too Close" is fine enough and ticks over nicely like a quickstep, but "Laborman" is even better. Like Wilco at their poppiest, it flies off on crunchy and bright electric guitars which belies the lyrical content: "I got a feelin' / a sleepin' depression / that somebody's gonna get hurt", sings Rateliff, followed by "you got the harness/so where you gonna drag me now?" You can see a pattern developing here; Rateliff's stuck somewhere he doesn't want to be, lonely, but how does he get out of it? Take another look at that album cover too - a couple share a bed, an arm reaches out yet it doesn't touch the other person. It's basically a visual encapsulation of what's being sung about.

The epic electric storm of "Forgetting Is Believing" leads a trio of great closing tracks, ending with the Lambchop-murmur of the title track. Rateliff's baritone is exposed and dusty as he sings "leave me alone/you can see me fall/faster than you can run", ending as he started the record - alone and isolated.

Falling Faster Than You Can Run feels, through the dirt, the shit and the whisky, and despite the loneliness, like a hard-earned triumph for Nathaniel Rateliff.

    Abandoned Mansion (Out Of Stock)

Have you ever wondered, Gee, I wonder when we'll hear some new Dr. Dog tunes?. No, I don't think you have. In fact, no one has. We put out more music than the Wolfman and Frankenstein combined. They're lightweights. And now we have an even newer album. Gah? That's right. It's called Abandoned Mansion and it's out today. It's a mood record. What I call Easy Peasy listening. Nothing too jarring or atonal. No blips or bloops or anything else that might unsettle you. There's plenty of upright bass for any of you tall people. And, also plenty of acoustic guitar for those of you trying to live off the grid. Oh, and the harmonies put God's own angels to shame. Also lightweights. We did a song a day for two weeks. And, almost everything was tracked live, except for some pretty egregious organ clams that we had to punch in over. Thematically, this is Dr. Dog meat and potatoes. Our proverbial wheelhouse. Songs of the oldest questions. Songs as tools to finding oneself. And most importantly, songs of acceptance. Acceptance of yourself and acceptance of the others around you. Enough pontificating. The album is great and it won't cost you an arm and a leg either. Unless, you are literally made out of money.

Dr. Dog releases the first ever bottling of the band's effervescent live shows, Live at
a Flamingo Hotel out via Anti-. Culled from the band's 2014 North
American tour, the songs here cover all of Dr. Dog's seven studio albums, ranging
over a decade of material. Says bassist/vocalist Toby Leaman, "We're one thing on a
record and a different thing live. We've always built our fans through the live show.
Somebody goes to a Dr. Dog show and hopefully comes again and brings somebody
with them. We see it build in a town by coming back several times. Our live show is
vital to how we view ourselves as a band." The collection serves essentially as a Dr.
Dog greatest hits, with a running time nearly equal to a live set. From hits like "Shadow People" and "Lonesome" to live staples like

Big Red and Barbacoa is the second album by South Texas' Hacienda, and like its predecessor Loud Is The Night (Alive 2008), it has been produced at the Akron Analog Studio by Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys.
Recorded on the tail end of a year of playing at clubs and festivals across North America, Australia, and Europe, opening for Dan Auerbach and Dr. Dog, this new album brings heavier grooves and flavor to the '60s harmonies sound the band is known for. The result is a blend of Tex-Mex roots rock, retro-pop and R&B that can only be described as South Texas Soul. Big Red and Barbacoa captures the attitude of a band ready to throw pretension to the roadside and play rock'n'roll the way it was intended.

Small Fires is the long awaited album from Bay Area-based band The Stone Foxes. This record follows the band's 2010 sophomore album Bears & Bulls that USA Today described as irresistible and the San Francisco Chronicle claimed rules!

Small Fires was recorded at The Carriage House in Los Angeles and produced by Doug Boehm (Dr. Dog, Drive By Truckers). The band is comprised of brothers Shannon (drums, harp, vocals) and Spence (guitar, vocals) Koehler, Aaron Mort (bass, drums, vocals) and Elliot Peltzman (keys, vocals). Of the new record Peltzman notes, making Small Fires with Dough Boehm felt like being in a dream. Shannon Koehler continues, It feels like we finally made the record we set out to make. The sound feels like us. We said what was on our minds, whether it was political, about a relationship, or anything else. It's darker than our first few records, but making it put a big old smile on my face.

A Flourish And A Spoil (Out Of Stock)

The Districts deliver raw, rollicking power on 'A Flourish And A Spoil' out February 10 on Fat Possum Records. John Congleton (St. Vincent, Angel Olsen, Swans) produced/engineered/mixed the album at Seedy Underbelly Studio (formerly Pachyderm Studio) in Cannon Falls, MN. The resulting 10 tracks capture the boisterous live performances from the quartet, who are all between 19 and 20 years old. The Guardian UK says, The Districts will be your new favourite band.

The four-piece band formed in 2009 while the members were still in high school in Lancaster County, PA. 'A Flourish And A Spoil' features singer/guitarist Rob Grote's vocals front and center, combining equal parts ferocity and yearning as when he reflects on leaving behind suburban childhood on Suburban Smell. The album credits original members Grote, Connor Jacobus on bass and Braden Lawrence on percussion with Pat Cassidy joining on guitar.

The Districts have toured with bands including Deer Tick, White Denim, Dr. Dog and Temples and won over fans on both sides of the pond with 2014 sets at Lollapalooza, ACL and Reading Festival, among others. Consequence of Sound says, As performers, they're naturals, having the confidence and stage presence of bands twice as old and twice as popular and Interview Magazine dares, just try not to bob your head.

    Cypress Hill (Out Of Stock)

    Limited Edition Clear Vinyl

Somewhere in between the rock-star mischief of the Beastie Boys and the slow-creeping funk of Dr. Dre, Cypress Hill introduced their hazy-eyed sound to the world on their self-titled 1991 debut and things have never quite been the same since. The original Cypress Hill album captures the group at their risk-taking best, mixing gangster posturing, LA street politics, Latin flavor and warped humor together under a thick cloud of weed smoke and innovative beats. Nasal-voiced rapper B-Real and his partner Sen Dog, backed by the adventurous production styles of DJ Muggs, produce classics records like How I Could Just Kill a Man, Pigs, Stoned is the Way of the Walk and Hand on the Pump. Since its release, the album has won acclaim as one of Rolling Stone's Essential Recordings of the 90s and Top 100 Best Rap Albums by The Source magazine. Get On Down is proud to present one of the most influential and important hip-hop albums ever, Cypress Hill, in this special red vinyl release, featuring audio remastered from the original source tapes.
