    Elvis

Mastered by Joe Reagoso and Kevin Gray from the Original RCA Records Tapes

Elvis Aaron Presley was born during the great depression into a poor family in Mississippi. They moved to Memphis during the early '50s, and as a struggling young truck driver, he cut some demos at Sun Studios as a gift for his beloved mother Gladys. These initial songs, of which he had only paid a few dollars to record, would become the catalyst that would kick-start the career of a soon to be worldwide superstar unlike the world has ever known.

Elvis had the amazing ability to sing both R&B and country simultaneously. This with the persona and choreography of a Hollywood movie star on stage, the young Elvis Presley was soon touring, and over the year achieved a number of regional hit singles, electrifying audiences into frenzies wherever he performed.

The folks at RCA Victor knew that this young fellow named Elvis was destined for superstardom. They quickly bought out his contract and signed the legend to a long term deal, and his first RCA single Heartbreak Hotel forever etched 'The King Of Rock And Roll' trademark to his name. In 1956 after a chart topping debut LP, his second smash #1 album simply called Elvis truly proved once again that his career was unlike any other in music history.

Filled with more energy than a fireball, the Elvis album took off with the Little Richard classic rocker Rip It Up. Another chart topping single followed with the much revered Love Me, a song which he would perform well into the '70s. The album also featured more smash hits like the Otis Blackwell/Elvis Presley rocker Paralyzed, a blues belter Arthur Crudup revisit with Elvis interpretation of So Glad Youre Mine, and Red Foleys tender ballad about mans best friend Old Shep. In total, the album showcases twelve important Elvis Presley recordings which have truly stood the test of time.

    Remastered Audio

    40th Anniversary Edition

Following the artistic success of his 1973 Stax sessions and the global phenomenon of the Aloha From Hawaii Via Satellite album and broadcast the same year, Elvis opened 1974 with a 15 city tour routed to end in Memphis and a state-of-the-art concert recording. When originally released as a single LP, Elvis Recorded Live On Stage In Memphis reached #1 on the Country charts and featured How Great Thou Art, the track that would bring Elvis his third Grammy win.

This luxury quadruple vinyl reissue contains a previously unreleased Test Run of the entire show recorded with a live audience at the Richmond Coliseum a few days before the legendary concert. The remarkable test run performance was recorded in MONO, drenched in the reverb Elvis preferred, and provides new insight into the magic of Elvis.

As a special added bonus for Elvis aficionados, we've included five intimate tracks (three of them previously unreleased) cut at the RCA Studios in Hollywood on August 16, 1974. Originally intended as reference recordings for an upcoming Las Vegas engagement, the performances-which include Down In The Alley, Good Time Charlie's Got The Blues, Softly As I Leave You, The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face and The Twelfth Of Never - provide a rare fly-on-the-wall glimpse into Elvis' consummate backstage artistry as he prepares these songs for concert.

Elvis Recorded Live On Stage In Memphis will include a 16 page booklet featuring rare photos, previously unseen memorabilia, new liner notes, press clips and more.

These initial songs, of which he had only paid a few dollars to record, would become the catalyst that would kick-start the beginnings of a soon to be worldwide superstar unlike the world has ever known.

Elvis had the unmatchable skill of combining his vocals to resemble both R&B and country.

They quickly bought out his contract and signed the legend to a long term deal, and his first RCA single Heartbreak Hotel forever etched "The King Of Rock And Roll" trademark to his name.

In 1957 after two chart topping albums and a bevy of #1 singles, more incredible fame followed as the Loving You movie starring Elvis Presley became a box office smash. The soundtrack album also was a blockbuster as it topped the charts for over two months, making this his third smash #1 album. Loving You truly proved once again that his career was unlike any other in music history.

Filled with more hits than a jukebox, the Loving You album takes off with two smashes in a row, the classic rocker Mean Woman Blues and the chart topping single (Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear. More soundtrack treasures follow with the beautiful ballad Loving You and the rockin' Party, which truly made the album a treasure trove of hits that seem like a Greatest Hits collection. The album also features a nice helping of solid interpretations of Elvis' own favorites like the Fats Domino classic Blueberry Hill and the timeless Cole Porter hit True Love. In total, the album showcases twelve important Elvis Presley recordings which have truly gone on to become international classics.

Originally released in November 1970, Elvis: That's The Way It Is combined eight studio tracks, recorded in Nashville, and four live concert performances recorded in Las Vegas during Presley's 1970 'Summer Festival' season at The International Hotel in Las Vegas. Elvis played dozens of times at The International Hotel in 1969 and 1970 over several number of weeks. Elvis was on a roll and making big plans - including a feature film and studio time in Nashville.

When Elvis arrived at RCA's Studio B in Nashville on June 4, 1970, producer Felton Jarvis had assembled a hot new session band featuring Elvis' on-stage guitar legend James Burton. Five nights of recording generated material for no less than three future albums and four singles, including Elvis: That's The Way It Is.

This brand new 4LP version, That's The Way It Is (Expanded Edition) centers on one show at The International which was recorded and partially filmed by MGM. These show recordings are released for the first time in their entirety. The original RCA album is expanded with four single sides from the period, and a selection of fly-on-the-wall outtakes from the June Nashville sessions that produced the majority of tracks for the album.

With remastered audio and packed in a triple gatefold sleeve, this 4LP set includes a 16 page booklet with rare pictures and new liner notes.

Where No One Stands Alone (Pre-Order)

Where No One Stands Alone celebrates the power and passion of Elvis Presley's gospel recordings. Produced by Joel Weinshanker, Lisa Marie Presley and Andy Childs, Where No One Stands Alone introduces newly-recorded instrumentation, rare alternate vocals from Elvis, and backing vocal contributions from music legends who'd performed on-stage and/or in the studio with Elvis such as, Darlene Love; Cissy Houston; Terry Blackwood, Armond Morales and Jim Murray of The Imperials; and Bill Baize, Ed Hill, Donnie Sumner and Larry Strickland of The Stamps Quartet.

The album also includes a reimagined duet with Elvis and his daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, on the album's title track and spiritual touchstone. Where No One Stands Alone provides new musical perspectives on 14 of the singer's favorite pieces of gospel music, from the reverential to the celebratory, with song selections including Presley's beloved enduring gospel classics (the 1965 Top 5 smash Crying In The Chapel, How Great Thou Art, You'll Never Walk Alone), praise-filled gospel-rockers (Jerry Lieber and Mike Stoller's Saved) and traditional hymns and spirituals (So High, Stand By Me, In The Garden, Amazing Grace).

Since I was two years old, Elvis Presley once said, all I knew was gospel music. It became such a part of my life, it was as natural as dancing. A way to escape my problems, and my way of release. It was Elvis' explosive mix of styles - blues, bluegrass, country, swing, pop - that generated his iconic world-changing rock n' roll, but it was the hymns, spirituals and church music of his childhood, the deep-seated gospel roots that sustained Elvis and his musical vision throughout his life. This was his favorite genre - no question about it, says Lisa Marie in her album notes. He seemed to be at his most passionate, and at peace while singing gospel. He would truly come alive - whether he was singing just for himself and me at home, or on stage in front of thousands of fans.

    40th Anniversary of the Historic #1 LP/Televised 1973 Concert!

Mastered by Joe Reagoso and Kevin Gray from the Original RCA Records Tapes & Manufactured at RTI!

Elvis Aaron Presley was born during the Great Depression into a poor family in Mississippi. They moved to Memphis during the early-'50s, and as a struggling young truck driver, he cut some demos at Sun Studios as a gift for his beloved mother Gladys. These initial songs, of which he had only paid a few dollars to record, would become the catalyst that would kick-start the beginnings of a soon to be worldwide superstar unlike the world has ever known. The folks at RCA Victor knew that this young fellow named Elvis was destined for superstardom. They quickly bought out his contract and signed the legend to a long-term deal, and his first RCA single "Heartbreak Hotel" forever etched "The King Of Rock And Roll" trademark to his name.

Over the next three decades, Elvis Presley would release dozens of hit albums and tons of smash singles, spend time in the Army, star in over 35 top charting films, as well as sell out concert tours around the states and Canada making him the most successful solo artist of all time. In 1968, his career ignited even further thanks to his Elvis TV Special on NBC and another series of hit singles and career making albums like his country soul smash From Elvis In Memphis.

As the '70s began, Elvis was selling out shows all around the country and began to plan out a series of groundbreaking performances in Hawaii. His show on January 14, 1973 was broadcast live via satellite across over forty countries and would become the most watched televised event by a solo artist in history. It's been said that over one billion viewers enjoyed his incredible concert! The show was choreographed and staged like nothing ever before and featured a multitude of musicians, the Hawaiian Islands, the appreciative and excited audience, and of course, The King Of Rock And Roll himself Elvis Presley.

The multi-platinum Aloha From Hawaii Via Satellite set also was a blockbuster as it hit the top #1 spot on the charts in 1973, making this one of the biggest albums of his career as well as one of the most revered live concert albums of all time proving once again Elvis Presley's career was unlike any other in music history. This live masterpiece takes off with the Memphis blues rocker "See See Rider" and his huge '70 hit "Burning Love." He follows these up with his tip of the hat to his friends The Beatles with the soulful balladry of "Something." More of Elvis' own favorites follow with the Hank Williams' ballad "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" and his rockin' interpretation of Chuck Berry's classic "Johnny B. Goode."

The album also features a nice helping of solid Elvis top chart hits like "Blue Suede Shoes," "Hound Dog," "A Big Hunk Of Love" and his smash single interpretation of James Taylor's "Steamroller Blues." As a tribute to his Hawaii audience, the ever thoughtful King Of Rock And Roll closed the show with his masterpiece "Can't Help Falling In Love" from his film Blue Hawaii. In total, the album showcases a very historic Elvis Presley performance which has truly gone onto become the definitive live concert album in his amazing catalog of hit gold and platinum recordings.

Live From Austin, TX (Waylon Jennings)

On-the-air since 1976, Austin City Limits has featured more than 500 different regional and internationally acclaimed artists on its stage, presenting the best of America's music from country, blues and folk to rock 'n' roll, bluegrass and zydeco.

Recorded on April 1, 1989 this performance by Waylon Jennings was no April Fools joke. This was the "new" Waylon, both personally and professionally. He had kicked a 20-year drug habit, split with RCA and signed a new deal with MCA Records.

He discovered a passion for songwriting, teamed with legendary producer Jimmy Bowen, and produced some of the best work of his 30-year-plus career. This ACL live set best captures the raw edge and driving urgency that pushed country music way past its Nashville boundaries starting in the mid-1970's.

Includes Waylon's definitive takes on Rodney Crowell's Ain't Living Long Like This, Elvis Presley's Suspicious Minds with wife Jessi Colter and Kris Kristoferson's Me and Bobby McGee along with his own classics Bob Wills Is Still the King and Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way.

    Bo Diddley's Masterwork Album!

First Time Official Audiophile Vinyl - Stunning First Time Gatefold Cover

Mastered From The Authorized Chess Records Mono Tapes By Joe Reagoso

Bo Diddley (Elias McDaniel) was truly an American original. There will never be another Bo Diddley nor anyone in the music
industry who could influence generations upon generations of aspiring rock 'n rollers like Bo Diddley has and continues to this
day, even years after his short time on earth.

Celebrating six decades in the music business, this Mississippian native initially captivated millions of kids in the fifties
with his first recordings like Bo Diddley and Say Man. He drove the rockers mad with his famous guitar riffs and boogie beat,
filled with poetic lyrics and a thrilling presence on the stage.

Bringing his original "Bo Diddley Beat" to Chess Records in early 1955, the Chicago based label and the pioneer rocker hit
a goldmine immediately with his arsenal of tunes that he presented to Phil and Leonard Chess. A lot of these great songs became
top charting singles which culminated in his masterwork album Go! Bo Diddley.

Kicking things off with one of his finest smash hits Cracking Up, Bo roars through a treasure trove of 11 more champions
which made this one of the most important and emulated albums of all time. The album features classic gems like his classics
Dearest Darling, Say Man, Don't Let It Go and The Clock Struck Twelve. Noted for his stellar guitar work, pretty much introducing his Bo Diddley Beat riff to a whole new generation of guitar players, Go! Bo Diddley was truly a primer for a ton of rock and
blues artists for years like Eric Burdon and The Animals, George Thorogood, Buddy Holly, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and
    The Yardbirds.

Bo Diddley opened the doors for millions of music fans around the world to enjoy rock and blues, making him along with
Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley and Little Richard as one of the first pioneers of the popular recording business that we all enjoy to
    this day.

Friday Music is no stranger to the music of the legendary Chess Records arsenal of fine recordings. That is why we are so
