    Expo 86

Recorded and mixed at Hotel2Tango, with Howard Bilerman, in late February and early March of 2010, Expo 86 is the name of the new and third album by Montreal's Wolf Parade. Expo 86 follows the band's 2008 album At Mount Zoomer. Recorded during a matter of weeks, Expo 86 finds Wolf Parade slimming themselves down to a four-piece lineup and continuing to explore the intersection of indie rock and post-punk.

DS Audio DS 002 Optical Phono Cartridge

The new DS Audio DS 002 optical phono cartridge combines the latest optical cartridge technology with a more budget-friendly price point. Featuring an aluminum cantilever and classic Shibata stylus, the DS 002's optical screen is positioned closer to the stylus-a breakthrough in phono cartridge design allowing for more accurate reading of the information within the record groove.

"[The DS 002] simply has to be heard to be believed." -Jonathan Valin The Absolute Sound

Rated among the top 5 most significant analog introductions at CES 2017 by Julie Mullins of The Absolute Sound

Like the more expensive DS Audio cartridges, the DS 002 cartridge body is machined from aluminum and echoes their distinctive design for best optical performance. The DS 002 features an aluminum cantilever and classic Shibata stylus to accurately reproduce the music recorded on the vinyl record album. The DS 002's optical screen is placed near the stylus tip, together with a newly developed wire-suspension system to hold the cantilever. The new position of the optical screen is a breakthrough in phono cartridge design, providing a much more accurate reading of the groove information and contributing to clearer sound reproduction.

Notably, the cantilever is more precisely positioned within the newly developed wire-suspension system in the DS 002. This new structure provides a highly accurate and precise pivot point for the cantilever, increasing channel separation to reproduce the most accurate stereo image.

*Please note, the DS 002 optical phono cartridge requires a DS Audio preamp/equalizer for use.

DS Audio DS 002 Phono Stage

The DS 002 phono stage includes a robust, updated power supply featuring a special shielding structure to keep out RF and self-noise while delivering outstanding signal-to-noise performance.

"[The DS 002] simply has to be heard to be believed." -Jonathan Valin The Absolute Sound

Rated among the top 5 most significant analog introductions at CES 2017 by Julie Mullins of The Absolute Sound

When designing the DS 002, we carefully evaluated each component of the phono stage. The updated power supply is a key part in the new design. To ensure a high-quality power source for the phono stage, ten 33000F capacitors are used, providing effortless power for the highest level of sound quality.

For outstanding signal-to-noise performance, we have incorporated a special shielding structure in the phono stage design of the DS 002. This shield both isolates internal noise from the power supply while also blocking external RF and other environmental noise. The shield is 1.5mm thick and covers the entire transformer, which ensures the best signal-to-noise performance of the DS 002 phono stage.

*Please note, the DS 002 phono stage is only compatible with DS Audio optical phono cartridges

This is the second Holy Modal Rounders record for Prestige's Folk line, originally released in 1965. 2 continues the Rounders obsession with reinventing folk music traditions, taking public domain material and flipping it, in both arrangement and lyric, with masterful, off-kilter playing. Remastered from the original tapes, the second album from the '60s folk revival biggest outcasts. A must!

Mudcrutch have announced their second album, entitled "2, to be released by Reprise Records. The album is the follow up to the band's 2008 eponymous debut which Rolling Stone called "a country-rock instant classic" in a rave four star review.

Along with Ryan Ulyate, the new album was produced by band members Tom Petty and Mike Campbell. All the members of Mudcrutch contributed songs on "2, with seven originals written by Petty, and one each by band members Campbell, Tom Leadon, Randall Marsh and Benmont Tench.

Mudcrutch was initially formed in 1970 in Gainesville, Florida and is the precursor to the legendary Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Tom Petty (bass/vocals), Tom Leadon (guitar/vocals), Benmont Tench (keyboards/vocals), Mike Campbell (guitar/vocals), and Randall Marsh (drums/vocals) make up the band's current line up.

In 1974, Mudcrutch was signed to Shelter Records and moved to Los Angeles where they released one single, "Depot Street," to very little fanfare. The band broke up in 1975 and could have settled for being a legend, but instead Mudcrutch rose from the ashes in 2008 to remind us that the golden age of rock and roll bands still had a few treasures to unearth.

Best Of The Early Singles Vol. 2

    Green And Yellow Vinyl

The best of the early singles by Bob Marley and the Wailers vol. 2. The partnership of Bob Marley and the Wailers in its short life would create what many consider to be some of the greatest reggae ever recorded.
The recording of these ground breaking tracks mostly took place at Randy's studio with Errol Thompson engineering the sessions. These recordings are certainly historically valuable because the roots and influences of Marley's mature sound are clear as blueprints throughout this collection. A must have for any fan of Bob Marley!

During their original alliance, Graham Parker and The Rumour never released a live album that accurately represented how powerful they sounded in concert. These double LP releases however, stand as essential documents of the early stages of the partnership between this supremely smart songwriter and a crack band. Ransom 2

The debut studio album by Atlanta trap producer Mike WiLL Made-It, Ransom 2 is now available here on 2-disc vinyl. From Beyonce's Formation and Rihanna's Pour It Up to Black Beatles by Rae Sremmurd and Humble by Kendrick Lamar, Mike Will has produced some of the most exciting trap-centric hits of recent times. On his follow up to 2014's Ransom mixtape, he employs the vocals of some of those same chart-topping artists like Rihanna and Kendrick while giving due attention to lesser known label mates like Andrea and Eearz. What results is an album full of his signature bangers all the way through.

Nominated For A Grammy In The Category 'Best Country Vocal Collaboration'

The Highwaymen was a country music supergroup composed of four of the genre's biggest artists well known for their pioneering influence on the outlaw country subgenre: Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson.

Whenever you combine the greatest men in their trade, you get genius. The album is an amazing compilation of talent and songwriting. These men are legendary country music singers on their own, and when you combine them, you get something special.

Highwayman 2 is the second studio album released by American country supergroup The Highwaymen, which reached #4 on the country album chart. The Lee Clayton- penned song Silver Stallion was the first single and made the country Top 40. The album was nominated for a Grammy for 'Best Country Vocal Collaboration'. Highwayman 2 was produced, once again, by Moman. Six of the songs were written or co-written by members of the group.

A Blue Note Essential, Miles Davis Volume Two Is Part Of The Blue Note 75 Anniversary Vinyl Reissue Campaign

The twelve inch LP was originally released in 1956 (following Miles Davis Volume 1 after Davis won the Down Beat readers poll as best trumpeter. The two volumes of repackaged Miles Davis material were the first releases in Blue Note's new 1500 series of 12LPs. The music compiled on the two volumes was from three separate recording sessions made over 1952-1954, some of which had been previously issued as singles, and as three now discontinued 10 LPs.

Volume 2 contained material from all three sessions, and some previously unreleased alternate takes. The master takes of the March 6, 1954 session, which made up the bulk of the 12LP, had originally been issued in 10LP format under the title Miles Davis, Volume 3, and the May 9, 1952 material had been previously released the 10LP Young Man with a Horn.

    Volume 2

A Blue Note essential, Sonny Rollins' Volume 2 is part of the Blue Note 75 anniversary vinyl reissue campaign -
featuring 100 titles. Key to the initiative is high quality audio at affordable prices. Album features performances
    recorded in 1960.

Outside of Paul Chambers, who was employed as Miles Davis's bassist at this time, all of the other players on these April 1957 RVG Hackensack dates were leaders of their own renowned groups; a reflection of the respect they all shared for the date leader, Sonny Rollins. Besides Chambers, with J.J. Johnson on trombone, Art Blakey behind the drums and alternating pianists Thelonious Monk and Horace Silver, who both play on the now-famous version of Misterioso, the words All-Star seem almost demeaning to this conclave.

The resulting recordings burst forth with confidence and enthusiasm, capturing a fire and passion usually found only with uninhibited live dates and not the constraints of a recording studio. Exceptional versions of Poor Butterfly and You Stepped Out Of a Dream elevate this record to monumental status.

    Blackout! 2

With over 16 years in the business, Redman & Method Man are certifiable rap superstars with a devoted fan-base that spans the globe. The secret to their longevity as one of raps longest lasting duos is due in part to the fact that the two emcees bring fun to hip-hop. Hardly taking themselves too seriously, Red & Meth have always been about good times and carefree humor, as evidenced on their debut album Blackout! (1999) and the follow-up How High Soundtrack (2001). Their comedic personalities allowed them to transition to the big screen in the cult classic film How High (2001) as well as the small screen with the FOX sitcom Method & Red (2004). Now they're back with the sequel to their debut, Blackout 2! The album features production from Pete Rock, Erick Sermon and Rockwilda among others.

    LP 2

At a time when the music world is saturated with more bands than ever, Restorations are a refreshing change of pace: an act who undeniably embody the DIY spirit but also bring along a real breadth of musical knowledge and an unlikely set of influences that somehow manage to work perfectly together.

Formed out of the ashes of the long-running Philadelphia rock act Jena Berlin, Restorations sees the band-vocalist/guitarists Jon Loudon, Dave Klyman and Ben Pierce joining forces with drummer Carlin Brown and bassist Dan Zimmerman, crafting an album that transcends punk rock and picks up where they're extremely well-received self-titled LP left off.

LP2 is a unique blend of indie rock, punk rock and focused psychedelia that can only come from spending a decade honing their skills organically. After producing their music largely on their own the band linked up with close friend Jon Low (Local Natives, Twin Sister, Kurt Vile) at Philadelphia's Miner Street Studios to create an album that captures the unbridled energy, sonic grandeur, and sheer volume of the band's live performances.

From the driving, anthemic vibe of "The New Old" to the inventive indie rock of "The Plan," LP2 is a remarkably diverse album, which makes sense when you consider how varied the members' respective tastes are. "I think the influences for us are a little broader than a lot of bands because we don't have one central songwriter," Loudon explains, citing everyone from the classic punk acts, classic rock, metal, drone and noise. "Over the years we've become more comfortable with trying stranger things and odder combinations to see what works," he continues. "The general rule is, if everyone is into it then we just go for it. We really carried that spirit into these songs."

Lyrically, LP2 sees Loudon once again collecting his own vignettes and pairing them with the
group's music to create a narrative that isn't linear but is instead as vast as the instrumentation that supports it. "The theme of this band is boredom and repetition and focusing on little tiny moments and that type of thing, so this record is just a collection of those stories," he explains. Sharing these stories is what lies at the core of the band. Restorations aren't looking to be the biggest band, they just want to continue to create music, evolve, and bring their musical stories all over the world.

"I feel like if we tried to set a real goal with this band it would be kind of pointless because we've been doing it long enough where if you think you're getting to a certain level then you're just setting yourself up for disappointment," Klyman explains. "So it's better to just see what happens, which is how we've always approached this band." Whatever ends up happening, there's no question that with these songs as a vehicle, Restorations is headed somewhere uncharted and they invite you to come along for the ride.
