Klipsch Heritage Forte III Floorstanding Speaker

When it was first introduced in 1985, the Forte quickly became the most popular Klipsch model. The elegant design and spectacular performance made the Forte standout among its competitors. In 2017, Klipsch brought the Forte back as part of the Heritage speaker series. The new Forte III features an updated look and the latest advancements in acoustic engineering, while maintaining the original charm that made the Forte such a hit.

    Features:

    • High efficiency, full range loudspeaker
    • Designed and made in the USA with domestic and imported components
    • 15 Passive Radiator for full range performance
    • Book-Match wood veneer sold as grain-matched pairs
    • Built to last

    High Efficiency + High Performance

The Forte III features a three-way design using a 12" woofer and horn-loaded midrange and tweeter. The new Forte III uses brand new state of the art drivers including midrange and tweeter titanium compression drivers for a smooth and powerful response. The Forte III's new midrange horn uses patented technology to improve coverage and control of the key mid-frequency band.

    New Patented Midrange

The Forte III's new midrange horn uses patented technology to improve coverage and control of the key mid-frequency band. There's no listening experience like it on the planet.

Designed And Made In The USA Using Domestic And Imported Components

Don't mess with perfection. Although there were some important upgrades made to the Forte III, it remains practically unchanged since its creation. Do you remember great sound? Klipsch does, too. The Forte III enclosure is still proudly made in the USA, by expert craftsmen in Hope, Arkansas. Just like Paul W. Klipsch (PWK) intended.

15 Passive Radiator Yields Full Range Performance

There is a secret in the back of the cabinet of the Forte III. The Forte III's well-extended bass is found in the use of a rear-mounted passive radiator. A giant 15" (38 cm) in size, this sub-bass radiator operates on acoustic pressure generated by the woofer while allows for greater bass output and extension.

    Book-Matched Wood Veneer

Klipsch consistently uses book-matched wood veneers for the Heritage series. The veneer leaves are kept in order as they are delicately sliced from the timber and precisely arranged to offer a mirror image at the splice joint - just like turning the pages of a book. This grants each speaker a more aesthetically pleasing and consistent appearance that is treasured more than any other cut of wood veneer.

    Perfection At The Granular Level

Every pair of Forte III loudspeakers is grain-matched using wood veneer panels that originate from the same timber. Each cabinet is precisely matched so that each speaker in the pair is almost indistinguishable from the other. The speakers move seamlessly together through the factory. Each finished product is carfully inspected and labeled with sequential serial numbers, to ensure that each pair of speakers leave the factory as a meticulously crafted set.

    Built To Last

Not a single detail goes unnoticed. Klipsch speakers are built to rock the house and stand up to the test of time. The Forte III is meticulously handcrafted and assembled with the finest quality materials, even down to the highest-grade adhesives and fasteners. This is a speaker that will be passed down from generation to generation.

    More Depth - Less Deep

The Forte III is designed to fill large rooms with outstanding sound without having to sacrifice too much floorspace. At a mere 13 (33cm) deep, the Forte III is thinner than any Heritage Series or Reference Premiere floorstanding speaker - yet still able to provide incredible, robust acoustics.

    Finish In Style

The Forte III real-wood veneer is offered in four distinct finishes including Distressed Oak, Cherry, Black Ash and Walnut - all designed to coordinate with your home's dÉcor.

    Quality Assurance

Klipsch built the Forte III with high-quality, heavy-duty bi-wire capable input terminals to cater to your desired audio preference.

    Eccentric Soul: The Forte Label

In 1969, after three years as Soul Sister #1 to James Brown's touring entourage, Marva Whitney came home to Kansas City, putting Ellis Taylor's Forte label back at full fighting strength. She'd calmed aching crowds the day after MLK's death, and she'd lived the life, despite its rigors-to pour out her pain and exuberance on Forte sides including "I've Lived The Life" and "Daddy Don't Know About Sugar Bear," which made national rounds in 1972.

By then, Forte had already done more than deliver Marvelous Marva to market. Taylor worked overtime at KPRS to bring the world The Rayons, who'd stroll their girl group harmonies past Chicago's RCA studios on "Baby Be Good." In '68, The Four Darlings sauntered in with smoky-voiced soul operatics on the demanding "Give Me Love." Progressing in the middle '70s, Everyday People got "Super Black" on Forte's pine-green label. Still powering forward some 13 years on, Forte redawned with the 1980s, essaying disco funk with Sharon Revoal's "Reaching for Our Star."

Numero 047 Eccentric Soul: The Forte Label charts Kansas City yeoman's work, the Carpets and the Derbys, dapper clothiers mysteriously murdered, and marriages made and broken. In 28 LP tracks, plus a trove of promo headshots and every-hued label scans
detailing all iterations of Forte's logo in print, this 16th Eccentric Soul sojourn hands over vivid floor shakers and lost dance craze records alike-though what moves "The Hen" required remains anyone's guess.

    Quiet Day

Fort Lean released two early EPs, earning glowing reviews in The New York Times and shows with HAIM and
Future Islands. Now comes Quiet Day, the debut LP on Ooh La La Records. The album is a collision of moods and
tones, approachable and ambitious but delivered with a sideways subtlety. "Immensely charming" says Stereogum. And "a Brooklyn outfit on a roll" according to SPIN. This is versatile stuff, appropriate for a crowd at a party or for the introspective headphoner.

    The Rising Tied

Fort Minor is a solo project. It was born out of my earliest experience as a music and visual art fan. My influences were always outsider influences, songs sung by underdogs. I related to them because they were like me. And although Linkin Park was eventually embraced by millions, I eventually fell drawn back to the 'outside' - to reconnect with my voice and aesthetic as an individual. It's modern DIY, fueled by technology, inspiration and ambition. - Mike Shinoda

    Insides

Like many others, Ghostly became enamored with Fort Romeau's idea of slow
listening, the concept of enriching relationships with music through careful
attention and focus. His understated take on deep, groove-friendly house started
pushing this practice three years ago, when the producer's debut LP, Kingdoms,
appeared via 100% Silk. The native Londoner, born Mike Greene, has evolved
considerably since then, finessing his sound over the course of three breezy 12s,
one EP, and lengthy DJ sets at some of the best clubs in Europe-not the least of
which were Berlin's famed Panorama Bar, London hotspot Plastic People, and
Robert Johnson in Frankfurt. Those years Greene spent immersed in his craft and
new inspirations have generously informed the eight stunning productions which
comprise Insides, Fort Romeau's long-awaited sophomore album.

Playing in those clubs definitely had an affect on how I approach composition and
pacing, Greene shares. I want to allow things to breathe and develop gradually
over longer track lengths, rather than cram everything into four or five minutes. His
patient methods are a central component to the billowy house music on Insides,
though this isn't an indulgent album of gratuitous buildups and tiresome
breakdowns. Each production is pointed and purposeful, as the artist crafts every
second of analog electronics with rich detail, nuance, and refinement.

Throughout Insides, Fort Romeau guides us down misty corridors lined with supple
synth pads, quietly thumping kicks, and elastic low-end sequences reinforced by an
emotive confidence. Thick dancefloor cuts like All I Want and Folle are built on
    such satisfying elements-sounds so full-bodied, you'd swear they're knocking
against your bones. This, too, is by design. I wanted to make sure all the songs
have a tangible quality, says Greene of his LP's physicality, to make texture and
grain become as important a part of the vocabulary as timbre and pitch. This was
accomplished with an arsenal of machines, including his Moog Voyager, Yamaha
DX7, Roland Juno-6, and Korg 770, a vintage synth he describes as having so much
presence and vitality, it almost feels like it's alive. Equally important to the weighty
presence of his music is meticulous post-production. The record was mixed on an
analog desk and mastered to tape, Fort Romeau elaborates. These processes are
as much a part of the sound as the synths and sample sources themselves.

There is also a deep stylistic eclecticism to Insides, and coming from Greene, this
was galvanized by deep cuts he discovered while digging to find music for his
extensive DJ sets. Old kosmiche, disco, and early electronic records are among the
strongest influences, and Fort Romeau used them as an impetus for creation. It's
those strange and wonderful tracks that you find on the b-side of an old record that
sparked my desire to make something new, he shares, but it's very important for
me never to feel like I'm making a pastiche. Indeed, the sleek expanse of Lately
and the title track's jacking grooves take cues from buoyantly cosmic dance music.
And yet it's the personality of a young artist coming into his own that makes Insides
such a graceful collection of house music, one that only further enriches the soul
    over time.

    Hold That Tiger!

Introduced into the music business by Frankie Avalon at a time when record producers were looking to the South Philadelphia neighborhoods in search of teenage talents with good looks, Fabian Forte mainly began singing as a way to support his family, due to his father's illness. Backed by songwriters Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman, Fabian had soon released a series of hit singles on Chancellor Records, while his debut album Hold That Tiger! climbed to #5 on the US charts. Although never the greatest of singers (he would find greater success as an actor), during the late 50's Fabian was projected as something of a teen idol, helped by a string of hits and numerous appearances on American television.

Ranked 269/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

The tour combined small theatres and huge stadiums. The Fort Worth show had capacity for just 3000. The 1978 tour began in Lakeland, Florida on the 10th June, by the time they arrived in Texas the Stones had played 19 shows. Billboard magazine said of the tour, "No flash, no gimmicks, just rock 'n' roll." The band included Mick, Keith, Charlie, Ronnie, Bill and Ian Stewart on piano (the day of the Fort Worth show was his 40th birthday) as well as Ronnie's former Faces bandmate keyboard player (and now Texas resident) Ian 'Mac' McLagan.

    Waiting For A Sign

Waiting for a Sign marks the return of Githead after a five-year break from recording and pushes fur-ther than their previous records, underscoring the band's commitment to pursuing new directions. Fans will recognize many of the classic Githead tropes here: the hypnotic, motorik repetition, the weighty bass lines, and the dreamy melodicism that have come to define the band's aesthetic. But Waiting for a Sign isn't about sticking with a proven formula: Githead are forward-looking musicians, committed to reinvention rather than recycling. As previous releases such as Art Pop (2007) and Landing (2009) show, Githead's fortÉ has increasingly been to bring the synergy and inventiveness of their live performances to bear on the studio process. For this album, however, they upped the ante, arriving at the studio without any written material and trusting that their response to each other's ex-temporization, as well as to the mood and the surroundings, would get the creative juices flowing. "Slow Creatures" is a good example, kicking off in an almost heretically bluesy mode, although this flavour eventually dissolves into a larger hypnotic groove as the track builds. There's a similar effect on "Air Dancing," its introduction combining Kala bass and acoustic guitar. Most memorable is "For the Place We're In," whose melodic structure makes it Githead's first bona fide folk song. Approaching the project as something of a blank slate, their minds free of predefined ideas and open to creativity makes this their most accomplished release thus far.

    Rock Them Back To Hell!

Freddy J IV and Brenn Beck are back with an album of voodoo hillbilly punk-blues. Recorded in Fort Wayne IN, and mixed in Detroit by Jim Diamond, "Rock Them Back To Hell!" sees the duo expanding their sonic palette by adding bass, harmonica, organ, and "trash percussion" (that would be a cardboard box, a paint tin, trash can and an electrified five-gallon bucket). The result is an album to wake up the dead, and rock it back to hell!

Otis Spann Is The Blues (Pure Pleasure)

Another absolute gem from Alan Bates's Candid label this must be probably Otis Spann's finest piece of work on wax. He may not have been THE blues, but he was sure close to being THE blues pianist. Spann provided wonderful, imaginative, tasty piano solos and better-than-average vocals, and was arguably the best player whose style was more restrained than animated. Not that he couldn't rock the house, but Spann's forte was making you think as well as making you dance.

    About Pure Pleasure

At the beginning of the 90s, in the early days of audiophile vinyl re-releases, the situation was fairly straightforward. Companies such as DCC, Mobile Fidelity, Classic Records and, of course, Pure Pleasure all maintained a mutual, unwritten ethical code: we would only use analogue tapes to manufacture records.

During the course of the present vinyl hype, many others have jumped on the bandwagon in the hope of securing a corner of the market. Very often they are not so ethical and use every imaginable source to master from: CDs, LPs, digital files, MP3s - or employed existent tools from the 80s and 90s for manufacturing.

A digital delay is gladly used when cutting a lacquer disc because tape machines with an analogue delay have become quite rare and are therefore expensive. When cutting the lacquer, the audio signal is delayed by one LP revolution against the signal, which controls the cutter head, and for this a digital delay is very often employed. Of course, the resultant sound signal is completely digital and thus only as good as this delay.

We should like to emphasize that Pure Pleasure Records on principle only uses the original master tape as the basis for the entirely analogue cutting of lacquer discs. In addition, the pressing tool is newly manufactured as a matter of principle.

We only employ existing tools for manufacturing if an improved result is not forthcoming, e.g. the title Elvis Is Back, which was mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray, or several titles from our Philips Classics series, which in any case Willem Makkee cut from the original masters at the Emil Berliner Studios in the 90s. It goes without saying that we only used the mother and that new tools were made for our production.

To put it in a nutshell: we can ensure you that our releases are free from any kind of digital effects and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.

    It's Frightening

After spending the better part of two years on the road (including festival stops at Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, Sasquatch, Monolith and tours with The Walkmen, Spoon, Richard Swift, The Cribs, White Denim and Tokyo Police Club) the White Rabbits hunkered down in their Brooklyn practice space to set about re-envisioning the dark pop of their critically acclaimed debut Fort Nightly, while adding new sounds and influences to achieve an original work. The result is It's Frightening, their second full-length album produced by Britt Daniel of Spoon, mixed by Mike McCarthy (Spoon, Trail Of Dead) and engineered by Nicolas Vernhes (Cat Power, Animal Collective).

    Endgame

Chicago's Rise Against are back with Endgame, the follow-up to 2008's Appeal to Reason. The album was produced by Bill Stevenson and Jason Livermore at The Blasting Room in Fort Collins, Colo., and mixed with Chris Lord-Alge, who also worked on Rise Against's previous two albums.

The lyrics of the album touch on real world events, such as Hurricane Katrina and the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Although the lyrics discuss grim topics, they actually take on a positive view and were written from the perspective of: What if the place on the other side of this transition is a place we'd all rather be living in?

    Hard Rain

Dylan's 'Hard Rain' is a live album, captured during the second leg of the Rolling Thunder Revue tour.
It is recorded on 2 dates in May, 1976, during a concert at Hughes Stadium in Fort Collins, Colorado.

It is the follow up of the 1974 live album 'Before The Flood' which is also released by Music on Vinyl.

Oddly enough, the album is named after one of his most famous songs, 'A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall' but that song happens to be missing from the album.
The fact that it poured rain for most of the concert may be the reason for the title.

    24 Karat Hits

There's a good reason Elvis Presley earned the nickname The King. Arguably the most crucial and undisputably the most identifiable figure in pop history, he released dozens of course-altering singles over the course of his influential career, many of which are scattered on incomplete or inconsistent compilations that cover only a portion of a certain era. But one collection towers above the rest. And this is it. Gathering the singer's 24 greatest tracks in one place, 24 Karat Hits is the definitive Presley anthology in terms of music, sound, and performance. Spanning 1956 ("Heartbreak Hotel") through 1969 ("Suspicious Minds"), the 3LP set is mandatory for every music lover--let alone Presley diehards and record collectors. And now, the long-out-of-print audiophile favorite--it was originally assembled to serve Presley's music in the highest possible fidelity it's always deserved--sounds better than ever. It's as if the Fort Knox of music landed on your doorstep. Amazing.

Jaco Pastorius was widely acknowledged for his skills as an electric bass player. He died in 1987 at age 35 following a violent incident at a Fort Lauderdale drinking establishment.

This self-titled album was Pastorius' solo debut and was originally released in 1976. As living legend Pat Metheny puts it in the liner notes on one of the re-issues of Pastorius' albums:

Jaco Pastorius may well have been the last jazz musician of the 20th century to have made a major impact on the musical world at large. Everywhere you go you hear Jaco's sound; from the latest TV commercial to bass players of all stripes copping his licks on recordings of all styles, from news broadcasts to famous rock and roll bands, from hip hop samples to personal tribute records, you hear the echoes of that unmistakable sound everywhere.

    Razed To The Ground

Razed to the Ground was self-produced by Fort Worth-based duo PINKISH BLACK's own Jon Teague and Daron Beck, mastered by James Plotkin, and recorded at The Echo Lab with Matt Barnhart handling engineer duties.

PINKISH BLACK is the continuation of THE GREAT TYRANT, a three-piece that released one LP following the passing of their bass player, Tommy Atkins. When Atkins died, Jon Teague (drums, synth, loops) and Daron Beck (vocals, keyboard, synth) decided to change the band's name and remain a two-piece, yet still retain TGT's ground-breaking sound. With no stringed instruments, the duo now relies on aura and raw emotions to obtain their unique heaviness. PINKISH BLACK's resulting effort, Razed to the Ground, successfully achieves this with seven tracks of dark, haunting death-rock.

    Emergency Ward

    Remastered

Emergency Ward! (1972) is Nina Simone's statement on the Vietnam War, and by dealing with matters more spiritual than political, this album aptly reflect the events of the day.

The entire first side consists of a 18-minute medley of George Harrison's My Sweet Lord and a poem by David Nelson called Today Is a Killer, set to music by Simone. This is a very strong, gospel-like performance, sometimes resembling the Capitols' Cool Jerk with a call-and-response vocal arrangement - one of Simone's finest moments. It was performed together with the Bethany Baptist Church Junior Choir of South Jamaica, New York.

Side two consists of the Lennie BleecherJeremy Wind song Poppies and George Harrison's Isn't It A Pity. Tracks 1 and 4 were recorded november 18, 1971 at Fort Dix, and tracks 2-3 were recorded at the RCA Studio in New York City.

    Goodnight Rhonda Lee

Internationally acclaimed American musician Nicole Atkins is a rare artist whose timeless songwriting and raw, emotional voice spans the ages - a miasma of faded glamour and nostalgic pop noir. Goodnight Rhonda Lee, the 4th studio album from Nicole Atkins, was produced by the team at Niles City Sound (Leon Bridges) in Fort Worth, Texas and mixed by Ben Tanner (Alabama Shakes) in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Co-writers on the record include Chris Isaak and Jim Sclavunos (Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds).

Nicole was a guest star on Cameron Crowe's Showtime series "Roadies", where she debuted material from this record. Nicole debuted even more from the record at SXSW 2017 before a monumental crowd opening for country star Garth Brooks.
