The Doobie Brothers
Celebrating 45 Years Of Their Debut Masterwork
First Time 180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl
Mastered Impeccably By Joe Reagoso At Friday Music & Capitol Mastering
Known for their ability of churning out hit songs, top charting albums and sell-out shows across the globe, The Doobie Brothers began their amazing four decade plus career in 1971 with the self-titled masterwork The Doobie Brothers. Initially a quartet featuring current founding members Tom Johnston and Pat Simmons, their debut showed early on how they had the skills to be in the forefront of making excellent sounding recordings.
For The Doobie Brothers Lp, they took their Bay Area soul and rock driven sounds to a devoted audience with their first chart hit singles like Nobody and Feelin' Down Farther. Produced by Ted Templeman, this album would go on to become one of the most important debut rock releases of the early seventies.
Fronted by the dual lead guitar force of Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons, the late Dave Shogren on bass, and the stellar drum expertise of John Hartman, The Doobie Brothers started their trek to the music charts as the LP went even deeper on album radio with even more powerful fare like Tom Johnston's delivery on the hypnotic Travelin' Man and Greenwood Creek, plus the gospel rock feel of Patrick Simmons' Growin' A Little Each Day.
Friday Music is honored to offer another installment in our ever popular Doobie Brothers 180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl Series with their debut masterpiece The Doobie Brothers. Impeccably mastered by Joe Reagoso (Doobie Brothers/Michael McDonald/Boz Scaggs) from the original Warner Bros. tapes at Friday Music Studios and at Capitol Mastering, The Doobie Brothers sounds incredibly earthy and rockin' as you remember it. As an added anniversary bonus, we are presenting the audiophile limited edition album in the original cover, with artwork elements not seen in years in the Lp format, further enhancing your Doobie Brothers listening experience.

The Golden Hits Of The Everly BrothersMastered from the Original Warner Bros. Tapes by Joe Reagoso
Don and Phil Everly are most certainly two of the most important figures in popular music history. Whether rock, pop, adult contemporary or country music, The Everly Brothers have consistently rose to the occasion with their successful harmonies, musicianship, and of course the knack to pick songs and write their own material which has made them legends in their own time.
Their legendary status has put them on world stages for over five decades and they have been honored and adored by both the fans and huge rock music icons like The Beatles, The Beach Boys, and Simon and Garfunkel. When the Everly Brothers joined the Warner Bros. label in the late '50s, their marquee value was just beginning to skyrocket. A long term lucrative deal, unprecedented at the time, afforded the boys the real opportunity to churn out hit after hit in record time.
While making a successful string of albums and hit singles, their greatest hits LP, simply titled The Golden Hits Of The Everly Brothers, showcased their star power in 1962. Filled with a dozen of their biggest hits like Cathys Clown, Thats Old Fashioned, Crying In The Rain, Ebony Eyes and their classic interpretation of Little Richards Lucille, the album itself was another home run for the duo. All Mitch Ryder Hits!As a very talented teenager playing in rock and soul bands across the Detroit area, future rock and roll legend Mitch Ryder was soon discovered by mega producer and label owner Bob Crewe (Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons). Having a knack for producing and writing many hit records, in 1966 Crewe recorded Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels in the studio and cut what many believe to be one of the first rock meets blue eyed soul albums with the Take A Ride, which of course featured their first chart topper Jenny Take A Ride. From this moment on, the Mitch Ryder persona was born, becoming a hero to many rock and roll fans throughout the world.
Mitch Ryders numerous appearances on national television shows, the concert circuit and continual airplay on all his records made him a fixture on the music charts. His next number of hit singles and albums truly impacted the way a lot of us listen to music to this day. The two and a half to three minute anthems like Devil With a Blue Dress On/Good Golly Miss Molly, Too Many Fish in the Sea/Three Little Fishes and the near riot pandemonium of Sock It to Me-Baby have all truly stood the test of time.
Noting all of the chart successes and sales of the Mitch Ryder name brand, the good folks at New Voice Records honored this famed artist with his own greatest hits album, the magnificent All Mitch Ryder Hits in 1968. This original album has been out of print for many years and for several decades in the vinyl format, that is until now.
Friday Music is proud to offer the original New Voice Records masterpiece, the All Mitch Ryder Hits for the first time on 180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl. Mastered impeccably from the original New Voice stereo tapes by Joe Reagoso at Friday Music Studios and at Capitol Records in Hollywood, California, this amazing album truly sounds incredible in the audiophile vinyl domain. Past, Present And Future (Awaiting Repress)Al Stewart's Past, Present and Future launched the artist from being an English coffeehouse staple
into a worldwide rock superstar thanks to the intriguing lyrics and melodies contained within the two sides
of this 1974 masterwork. While achieving cult-like status in the U.K. with his unique brand of folk/rock,
Past, Present and Future featured some of Al Stewart's finest songs like the prog-rock champions Roads
to Moscow, Soho (Needless to Say) and his timeless masterpiece Nostradamus.
While playing college gigs and opening for major recording acts across the states, Al Stewart's Past,
Present and Future grabbed the attention of astute rock radio programmers who had discovered the U.K.
import of this classic before it reached North America. Soon, tracks like Terminal Eyes ignited a wave of
requests, developing the popularity further, while having the luxury of entire sides being played on the
more esoteric FM radio stations across the states.
Aside from being a brilliant composer and wonderful vocalist, Al Stewart also plays some mean
acoustic and electric guitar alongside some of the most important players of our time like Rick Wakeman,
Roger Taylor, Tim Renwick and many others.
Friday Music is no stranger to the important musical catalog of Al Stewart. Therefore, it is with much
honor to continue the Al Stewart Friday Music 180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl Series with the first time audiophile
LP release of Past, Present and Future. Impeccably mastered from the original Janus Records tapes
by Joe Reagoso (Al Stewart/Yes/Traffic), this long out-of-print vinyl album is now back for you to enjoy in
