Still Got The BluesRelieved from the pressures of having to record a hit single, Gary Moore cuts loose on some blues standards as well as some newer material. Moore plays better than ever, spitting out an endless stream of fiery licks that are both technically impressive and soulful. It's no wonder Still Got the Blues was his biggest hit.

The Thin Lizzy 180 Gram Audiophile Series Continues At Friday Music!
First Time On Audiophile Vinyl In North America
Celebrate Four Decades Of Thin Lizzy!
Mastered From The Original Warner Bros. Tapes By Joe Reagoso At Friday Music Studios And Capitol Records
Released in 1980 as a successful follow-up to their much loved Black Rose - A Rock Legend (Friday Music 3338),
Phil Lynott, Scott Gorham, Brian Downey and new guitar sensation Snowy White forged ahead once again with their
trademark hard rock sound and continued their assault on audiences worldwide with their tenth masterpiece Chinatown.
As the powerful opener We Will Be Strong kicks the album into full gear, featuring the dual lead guitars of Scott
Gorham and Snowy White, known for creating some of the finest and most familiar guitar riffs in music history, they
continue their legendary style with this metal anthem. Phil Lynott's vocal and bass attack notched up another career
defining song as well, which served the band well for years and has truly been one of their most revered tunes.
Seven more incredible performances from these rock and roll warriors continue to thrill the listener including more
Phil Lynott hard rock classics like Killer on the Loose, the blues belter Sugar Blues and the stellar title smash Chinatown.
More rockers flow like the funk infused Having a Good Time and the brilliant Thin Lizzy anthem Genocide (The Killing Of
The Buffalo). Even the heartwarming Sweetheart, which showcases a soulful side of Lynott's writing and vocal ability,
truly made this album a fan favorite for years to come. The incredible album closer Hey You truly captures the band's love
for playing hard rock and playing it righteously, never to be duplicated on wax ever again.
Tragically, we lost the musical genius Phil Lynott in 1986 and more recently the passing of guitar legend Gary
Moore. This was their first collaboration together as members of Thin Lizzy, and with the impeccable musicianship of
Scott Gorham and Brian Downey all delivering the goods, Chinatown is considered one of their greatest achievements
in their enduring album catalog.
Mastered impeccably from the original authorized Warner Music tapes by Joe Reagoso at Friday Music Studios and
Capitol Records in Hollywood, Friday Music in very honored and enthusiastic to welcome back the much heralded Thin
Lizzy classic Chinatown for the first time on 180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl.
To make this more of a treasure for your limited edition Thin Lizzy collection, we are also including a first time
gatefold cover which features the legendary original album cover art as well as the original photos and artwork included
in the album inner sleeve not seen in years. As usual, we will include a poly sleeve to protect your hard rockin' audiophile
vinyl and a poly bag to preserve your very cool album cover.

Blues and BeyondHoused in an awesome double gatefold "AxeWax" vinyl, Blues And Beyond features a number of Gary Moore's blues studio recordings, most of which have never appeared on vinyl.
Best known for his evocative solo hits, "Parisienne Walkways" and
"Still Got the Blues" (live versions feature in this set), and his on/
off membership of Thin Lizzy, Gary Moore's solo career comprises
over twenty albums. Throughout the 1980s, Gary moved up the rock
hierarchy, but turned his back on what he regarded as the empty
flash of metal and reverted to his heart music-the blues-where
ironically he scored his biggest commercial success through his
1990s and 2000s blues albums.
As well as running his own bands, during a successful solo career,
Gary mixed with the best that rock and blues could offer, playing
live and on record with George Harrison, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker,
Greg Lake, BB King, Albert King, Albert Collins and many others.
Gary was also the guitarist many looked up to, not just for the
terrifying speed of his fretwork, but for the passion, fire and
honesty in his playing.1. Enough Of The Blues

Run For CoverRun For Cover took the heavy metal ingredients of Gary Moore's previous two albums and added a little pop refinement to the mix. Thankfully, this did not compromise the overall heaviness of the record, and Moore even achieves a successful remake of his classic ballad Empty Rooms. Calling on his many friends to help in the studio, Moore obtains fantastic vocal performances from former Deep Purple bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes on Reach for the Sky and All Messed Up; and former Thin Lizzy leader and childhood friend Philip Lynott on the dramatic Military Man. The latter also trades vocals with Moore on the album's biggest single Out in the Fields. Written about the religious turmoil in their native Ireland, it was actually Lynott's final recorded performance before his tragic death. It also presaged the musical and lyrical Irish themes which would dominate Moore's future work.

After The WarAfter the War is the eighth studio album by Irish guitarist Gary Moore, released in 1989.
Much like Moore's previous album Wild Frontier, After the War contains elements of Celtic music. The instrumental Dunluce is named after Dunluce Castle in Northern Ireland.
The track Led Clones features Ozzy Osbourne sharing lead vocals with Moore. The song pokes fun at bands such as Kingdom Come, who were quite popular at the time and were based on a Led Zeppelin type sound and image; it also appeared on a compilation album. Moore again pays tribute to the memory of his long-time friend and colleague Phil Lynott with the song Blood of Emeralds.
After the War would be Moore's last foray into conventional hard rock, and his last rock album of any kind until Dark Days in Paradise, released in 1997; starting with his next album, Still Got the Blues, he would primarily switch to playing blues.1. After The War

One of a KindOne Of A Kind" is just that - a true classic hard rock gem displaying great melodies, great riffs, great solos and a unique band unity. It has also been recorded using the spirit of a band and therefore features talented prominent band members. Carl Sentence (from the current line-up of British legends Nazareth) is a singer that all fans of rough voices like Rob Halford and Graham Bonnet would love. Laurence Cottle, who has played with Don in the Gary Moore band makes a great rhythm section together with the thunderous talent of Jon Finnegan, evidently loud on stage as much as in life.
Last but definitely not least, the incredible talent of Simon McBride, who shows no fear of being compared to the many incredible guitar players Don has played with before. Simon was also part of Ian Gillan's band, together with Don - during the recent tour in East Europe. One song after the other quenches every hard rock fan's thirst, who would make a capital mistake to overlook this album.1. Respect

The CrestAxel Rudi Pells career began in 1980 with the band, Steeler, who sold over 30,000 copies of their commercially most successful release, Strike Back, and brought out their fourth and final album, Undercover Animal, in 1988. In November of that year, Pell formed his own group together with Jörg Deisinger (ex-Bonfire), drummer Jörg Michael, bassist Thomas Smuszynski (ex-U.D.O.) and the American vocalist, Charlie Huhn (Ted Nugent, Gary Moore, Victory). Their debut album, Wild Obsessions, arrived at the stores one year later, followed by Nasty Reputation, for whom Pell enlisted the American frontman, Rob Rock (M.A.R.S, Impellitteri), who was replaced during the subsequent German tour by former Malmsteen vocalist, Jeff Scott Soto.
With Soto as a new member, the third album, Eternal Prisoner (1992), was undeniable proof that the band had found their own, unmistakable style. One year later, Pell brought out The Ballads, an album featuring his most accomplished rock ballads. With Between The Walls (1994) and the live recording, Made In Germany, the guitarist from Bochum held on to his typical style even in the post-grunge era. The subsequent Black Moon Pyramid (1996) was the second Pell album in succession to make the German album charts. 1997 saw the arrival of Pells eighth offering, Magic, featuring a thematically consistent concept based on supernatural stories. Magic also entered the charts, followed by Oceans Of Time, the commercially most successful album at that time by the Axel Rudi Pell band, and the continuation of Pells ballad concept (The Ballads II, 1999).
Following the departure of Jeff Scott Soto, Pell enlisted American vocalist Johnny Gioeli (ex-Hardline) for the production of Oceans Of Time, The Ballads III and his 2000 release, Masquerade Ball. His characteristic voice also enhanced the subsequent releases, Shadow Zone (2002) and Kings & Queens (2004), as well as the highly accomplished Mystica (2006) and the covers album, Diamonds Unlocked. Tales Of The Crown (2008), the last studio recording by the ARP Band surprised with a number of innovations and made it to # 41 of the German album charts. The Crest (2010) improved on this feat by going straight to # 22 in the German Charts.1. Prelude Of Doom (Intro)
