    Genesis

L.A. rapper Domo Genesis has released his official debut album Genesis. Despite big time appearances from Wiz, Juicy J, Anderson .Paak and more, the former Odd Future rapper manages to put his own personality on center stage for his first attempt at a major label project.

The first single from the album, "Dapper" with Anderson .Paak, showed a new, groovier side of Domo that wasn't always apparent on his previous tapes. In the YouTube description of the video he wrote, "Thanks for the love, its been awhile but im finally ready to give my honest self."

Songs like "Awkward Groove" and "Wanderer" show his vulnerable charm. Coming from the violent explosion that was Odd Future, MCs like Doms and Earl have been adjusting to the aftermath in their own unique ways.

The production is especially lush and enveloping. Tyler produced "Go (Gas)" and perhaps more, but it's more impressive that he's been able to build a nice brand for Odd Future Records with himself, Domo and The Internet.

The Original LP Now On 180 Gram Vinyl!

    Pressed At RTI

    Mastered From The Original Reels

One of the most remarkable unheard albums of 1969, Genesis, the sole release by San Francisco-based sisters Wendy and Bonnie Flower, has emerged as an acclaimed pop-psych touchstone. Brimming with melodic confections and laced with radiant, sisterly harmonies, the set's breezy Brazilian splashes and soft-rock strains convey a sophistication that belies the artists' tender ages (Wendy, 17; Bonnie, 13). The album has grown over the years in importance, and has influenced a generation of psychedelic pioneers, from Broadcast to Stereolab to Welsh rockers Super Furry Animals ( who sampled the duo on their hit hello Sunshine) This 180 gram single-LP edition is pressed at RTI and is an exact replica of the original 1969 pressing, with fully restored cover art and incredible sonics mastered from the original reels.

    Invisible Voices

    First Ever Reissue

When he wasn't dispensing prescriptions in his day job as a pharmacist, the late German synth wizard RÜdiger Lorenz followed a truer passion, casting his own unique presence on the world of New Age music, and self-releasing a significant body of work on his own Syncord label. His vinyl debut, 1983's Invisible Voices, highlights when Lorenz's busy, sprawling compositions and untraditional tone banks came into their own. More restless and spirited than many of his musical colleagues, Invisible Voices presents a vision of aural wanderlust, built for the journey and one's reflection on it afterwards.

    Invisible Magnetic

Limited Edition - 400 On Blue Vinyl

The New Sound Of Numbers is an experimental post-punk band based in Athens, Georgia. It is fronted by Hannah Jones on 12 string electric guitar and features members of Pylon and The Olivia Tremor Control.

Their album Invisible Magnetic is the follow up to Liberty Seeds, their debut album which as released in 2006 through Cloud Recordings.

The new album has a more celebratory feel than the first, and the driving rhythms and layered percussion lend themselves to both a sense of urgency and instant danceability. Violin, clarinet, melodica, synth, and trumpet beautifully interplay throughout the songs and occasionally take a turn towards music concrete while also bolstering the upbeat feel of the songs.

The Rhythms of Invisible Magnetic are even more tribal, with an African influence, than those of Liberty Seeds, whose songs were described by Electrelane's Mia Clarke in a review for Wire magazine as giving a nod to the Slits and Lizzie Mercier Descloux.

The New Sound Of Numbers can be placed categorically alongside fellow Athenians Pylon and the B-52's.

Press play on Invisible Life and you lose your season. Roberto Lange - Helado Negro - is talking to you in Spanish. He's talking to you, perhaps with more volume, in the language he's been teaching us all over the past three years through the lessons of the seductive full-length Canta Lechuza, the sub-narrative exploration EP Island Universe Story One, and the all-in collaboration, Ombre, with Juliana Barwick. This immersive curriculum, paired with our own capacity for feeling, will make Invisible Life visible. At least as much Roberto Lange wants us to see of himself. The Invisible Way

The Invisible Way is Low's tenth album in 20 years as a band. Low's Alan Sparhawk says of the album: "While driving though Chicago, on tour, we stopped finally to visit Wilco at their studio, The Loft. They had invited us to come check it out several times over the years, but this would finally be the day. It's a great place-a sea of instruments in a relaxed, open working environment. It's cool, but what really converted us was hearing the new Mavis Staples tracks they were working on: big, simple, raw, and intimate. How is this different from any other Low record? Mimi sings lead on five of the eleven songs (she usually only does one or two, despite being a fan favorite). Piano, lots of piano...and an acoustic guitar. Songs about intimacy, the drug war, the class war, plain old war war, archeology, and love."

    Familiar Touch

It's been almost three years since DIANA released their critically-acclaimed LP, Perpetual Surrender. Now, the wait for new material has come to an end with the upcoming release of their second album Familiar Touch. The band have also shared the album's opening track, 'Confession' - a sharply focused example of their statement of intent, and which follows on from the previously shared 'Slipping Away'.

Having initially conceived Perpetual Surrender as a one-off recording project, Kieran Adams (drums, drum machines, synths), Carmen Elle (guitars, vocals) and Destroyer touring band member Joseph Shabason (synths, samplers, saxophone) regrouped after a period of time that Elle describes as "learning how to be a band." Bigger, fuller and far more open and expansive, Familiar Touch takes all of Perpetual Surrender's gorgeous qualities and pushes the songs to the forefront, upping DIANA's game tremendously.

'Miharu' is the perfect example of this: recalling the best mid-80's alt-pop, it mixes the lush soul signature of Flyte Time Productions (Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis) while delivering a massive pop chorus that liquefies into their modern production nous. "I really love the silky rub between Carmen's demure approach and Gary's [Beals, additional vocals] vibrant punctuations," Adams explains, his description also perfectly encapsulating 'Moment of Silence' - another sophisticated pop track with what Adams describes as having "a very smooth top layer" and synths that give the impression of "stretching time - being stretched thin in those moments." 'Confession' also builds upon those Jam & Lewis rhythms, with Adams describing it as sounding like the pair "if they worked with Annie Lennox."

Where Perpetual Surrender was the unexpected success of a group of friends experimenting with different sounds, Familiar Touch is the sound of them taking those experiences and maximising themselves as a proper band. "There was a much different studio flow - we started working on things close to a year before we recorded them," says Adams. "Last time, we were obscuring what it was that we were doing - with washed out or distorted vocals, for example. With this album - particularly with the vocals - we conceptualised everything a lot more in advance and really committed to certain sounds and feelings. We tried to fight the instinct of trying to distort it."

One thing that's clear this time around is how much more confidence DIANA have in themselves as musicians. The trio decamped to Adams' then-apartment, where the pressures of a second album and the time constraints of a regular studio were relieved. Renting their own gear, they made makeshift vocal booths of out of clothes cupboards and Star Wars sleeping bags (or "weird, fucked up musty vocal caves" as Shabason describes them). Upon listening to the record, it's hard to believe Familiar Touch was made in such a compact environment. With its emboldened production, it sits pleasingly alongside their personal influences and seminal recordings such as Prefab Sprout's Steve McQueen or Yellow Magic Orchestra's Naughty Boys.

Mixed by Chris Coady (TV on the Radio, Beach House, Grizzly Bear) and mastered by Heba Kadry, Familiar Touch is also lent a skilled hand by Thom Gill (guitars, keys, piano), Bram Gielen (bass), Vince Spilchuk (trumpet), and vocalists Robin Dann, Alanna Stuart of Bonjay and aforementioned Gary Beals - runner-up on the first season of Canadian Idol. By having the space and time to work with their new ideas on their own terms, this time around, DIANA have crafted an album that sounds unabashedly vibrant and distinctly 2016.

    Can't Touch Us Now

Four years on from the release of their Top 10 US album, Oui Oui Si Si Ja Ja Da Da, Madness return with Can't Touch Us Now. The Album's release sees the Nutty Boys in full flow with a collection of songs that stands alongside the best of their unique takes on modern life.

A typically eclectic collection (the group has long mastered the art of making disparate influences work under their knack for writing catchy pop hooks), Can't Touch Us Now was recorded at London's iconic Toe Rag Studio - a fitting venue for one of the English capital's most iconic bands. Co-produced by Grammy-winning producer Liam Watson (The White Stripes' Elephant) and the band's long-time boards-man, Clive Langer, Can't Touch Us Now was recorded in just three weeks and boasts characteristically wry observations on life, with songs the likes of 'Mr. Apples', 'Blackbird', 'Mumbo Jumbo' and the title track.

Part of Madness' brilliance lies in their ability to take situations specific to their environment and make them universally relatable: 'It Must Be Love', 'Embarrassment' and 'Tomorrow's Just Another Day' all resonate with a worldliness that fans from all over the globe have related to - and that's no surprise, given that the band themselves have looked beyond England, to Jamaica, for a large part of their musical inspiration. With the songs on Can't Touch Us Now road-hardened during a string of summer festival appearances, it seems that the album is set to, once again, remind fans that the self-proclaimed Nutty Boys are one of the finest, most erudite pop outfits that the world has seen.

Hank Jones worked together often with guitarist Barry Galbraith, bassist Milt Hinton, and drummer Osie Johnson in various recording sessions featuring many styles of music, backing singers, or anchoring larger ensembles, so it is no surprise they were featured as a working quartet on this 1958 Capitol LP. The dozen tracks mix standards (including Star Eyes, The Blue Room, and My One and Only Love), a few pop songs of the period, as well as a crisp interpretation of Gigi Gryce's Blue Light and the leader's one original, Let Me Know, which is a modified approach to boogie-woogie. The tracks are rather brief, running less than three and a half minutes each, though musicians the caliber of these four gentleman can say a lot more musically in that time frame than most can during a ten-minute performance.

    Touch And Flee (Speakers Corner)

Touch And Flee is the new recording from Neil Cowley Trio, and marks a defining moment in the evolution of the band. It is their bravest, most daring album to date, spotlighting the ever- increasing brilliance of Cowley as a composer. With long time band mates, Evan Jenkins on drums and Rex Horan on bass, they jump headlong into new territory to present what they describe as »our concert hall record« for an altogether deeper listening journey.

Gone are the familiar hook laden tunes, repeating riffs and pounding crescendos, replaced, in the main, by shifting, expansive melodies, longer elegant passages, and a broader brush stroke on Cowley's blank canvas. What is familiar though is Cowley's power to move through music. Exquisitely graceful movements meet with dark haunting passages. And although this is a new direction for Neil Cowley Trio, their personality, and unmistakable sound, still shines through. We hear, for example in the epic, sweeping Kneel Down, a three movement piece containing pulse, power, climax, spaciousness, and then, gentle surprise. The wonky jazz of Winterlude keeps the head nodding while Cowley's proclivity for atmospheric film scores remains.

Touch And Flee was recorded at the legendary RAK studios with Grammy nominated Dom Monks in the producer's chair. RAK has seen some of the biggest names in music record there - David Bowie, Al Green, Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd, Arctic Monkeys, and of course Adele, with whom Cowley recorded the global hit, Rolling In The Deep. Touch And Flee is the result of three gifted musicians who think as one, growing together, driving forward. A collection of tunes best savoured in a darkened room, at full volume. They demand attention, but as always, deliver to the listener the most blissful of rides.

    • Rex Horan (bass)

    • Evan Jenkins (drums)

    About Speakers Corner

At the beginning of the 90s, in the early days of audiophile vinyl re-releases, the situation was fairly straightforward. Companies such as DCC, Mobile Fidelity, Classic Records and, of course, Speakers Corner all maintained a mutual, unwritten ethical code: we would only use analogue tapes to manufacture records.

During the course of the present vinyl hype, many others have jumped on the bandwagon in the hope of securing a corner of the market. Very often they are not so ethical and use every imaginable source to master from: CDs, LPs, digital files, MP3s - or employed existant tools from the 80s and 90s for manufacturing.

A digital delay is gladly used when cutting a lacquer disc because tape machines with an analogue delay have become quite rare and are therefore expensive. When cutting the lacquer, the audio signal is delayed by one LP revolution against the signal, which controls the cutter head, and for this a digital delay is very often employed. Of course, the resultant sound signal is completely digital and thus only as good as this delay.

We should like to emphasise that Speakers Corner Records on principle only uses the original master tape as the basis for the entirely analogue cutting of lacquer discs. In addition, the pressing tool is newly manufactured as a matter of principle. We have one digital recording in our catalogue (Alan Parsons / Eye In The Sky"), but even in this particular case we used the analogue tapes for cutting.

We only employ existing tools for manufacturing if an improved result is not forthcoming, e.g. the title Elvis Is Back, which was mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray, or several titles from our Philips Classics series, which in any case Willem Makkee cut from the original masters at the Emil Berliner Studios in the 90s. It goes without saying that we only used the mother and that new tools were made for our production.

To put it in a nutshell: we can ensure you that our releases are free from any kind of digital effects - excluding the exception above - and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.

While it's difficult for any artist to find and gain success, the real struggle comes with
sustaining it. Silverstein are one of those rare artists that have found a way to stand the
test of time. Their formula is no secret: they have been going at full speed, nonstop for
the past 15 years. They've taken no breaks between touring and recording, and have
consistently produced quality albums and played sold out shows across the world.

Since their inception, they've played over 1,700 shows and sold over 1 million albums.
The band's most recent headline tour resulted in 90% sell out business, while playing
1,000 capacity venues in 40 US major markets. Silverstein will also be appearing on
the entire 2015 Vans Warped Tour, proving that the band's relevance is still thriving.
Silverstein's newest album, "I Am Alive In Everything I Touch," is one of the band's
strongest albums to date. These 12 songs are each uniquely crafted to showcase the
band's signature mixture of emotional screams and soaring melodies. Every band
writes one record that truly captures their essence and shows what they are about. It is
the album immediately recommended when discovering a band's discography. This is
    Silverstein's trademark album.

"I Am Alive In Everything I Touch" is a timeless album. This is Silverstein at the top of
their game, and they are proving that after 15 years of continued success, they can
still bring something new and exciting to the table
