Live in Japan, Harrison's second official live album release, was recorded during his joint tour of Japan with Eric Clapton in December 1991. The tour came a year after the release of the second Traveling Wilburys album and was the result of Eric Clapton persuading Harrison, his close friend, to get back on the road. Harrison performed a series of well-received shows, which also featured a short set of Clapton's songs. The album contains a selection of Harrison's hits as a solo artist alongside some of his best-known Beatles songs.

    Somewhere In England

Remastered From The Original Analogue Master Tapes And Cut At Capitol Studios To Ensure Exceptional Audio Quality Throughout

    Pressed On 180-Gram Vinyl

Somewhere In England, released in 1981, was the first Harrison album to be released after the death of his former Beatles bandmate John Lennon. The original recordings submitted by Harrison in 1980 were rejected by Warner Bros for being 'too laid back' and not sufficiently commercial. 'Blood From A Clone', Harrison s searing indictment of the executives behind the decision, would make the final cut. After the shock and devastation of Lennon's murder, Harrison decided to also utilize the unfinished recording of 'All Those Years Ago'. He changed the lyrics of the song to reflect the Lennon tragedy. Harrison invited Paul and Linda McCartney, and their fellow Wings bandmate Denny Laine, to record backing vocals on what would be his biggest hit since 'Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)'.

Released in December 1974, Dark Horse capped a prolific year for George, during which he had established his own Dark Horse record label, built a recording studio in his Friar Park home in England, and completed an ambitious tour of North America. Throughout the year, Harrison produced albums for several artists while also recording his own. The songs on the LP document both George's fallibility, in 'Simply Shady,' and his spirituality, in 'It Is 'He' (Jai Sri Krishna).' Dark Horse reached the top five in America, sounding a high note at the end of Harrison's rather frenetic year.

Cloud Nine marked Harrison's return from a five-year hiatus from his career as a solo artist. It would be the last studio solo album released during his lifetime. The hit single Got My Mind Set on You quickly reached number 1 in the United States and number 2 in the United Kingdom. The album received consistent praise from rock critics, with Rolling Stone describing it as an expertly crafted, endlessly infectious record. Besides Harrison and co-producer Jeff Lynne of ELO, other artists involved in the sessions included Jim Keltner and Ringo Starr on drums, Eric Clapton on guitar and both Gary Wright and Elton John on piano.

Gone Troppo, issued on Dark Horse Records in November 1982, would prove to be Harrison s last studio album for five years, during which he largely took an extended hiatus from his recording career. The album title, Gone Troppo, was an Australian slang expression meaning 'gone mad/crazy' and also a reference to the Italian term 'non troppo', used in tempo markings and meaning 'not too much'. Billboard said of Gone Troppo: 'Harrison's sunny lyricism shines brightest when least encumbered by self-consciousness, and here that equation yields a breezy, deceptively eclectic charmer.'

Thirty Three & 1/3 is the seventh studio album by English musician George Harrison, released in November 1976. It was the first album release on his Dark Horse record label. Harrison recorded Thirty Three & 1/3 at his Friar Park home studio, with production assistance from Tom Scott. Other musicians on the recording include Billy Preston, Gary Wright, Willie Weeks, David Foster and Alvin Taylor. The title for the new album reflected his age at the time of recording, as well as the speed at which the vinyl LP would play on a turntable. Rolling Stone described the album at the time as Harrison's 'strongest collection since his solo debut.'

As Recorded At Madison Square Garden (Music On Vinyl)

    Import

The live album 'As Recorded at Madison Square Garden' was originally released in June 1972, just one week after the concert took place at the Madison Square Garden arena in New York City. This show was Presley's first live concert in the Big Apple since the 1950s. Many musicians attended one of his shows most notably amongst them George Harrison, Art Garfunkel, David Bowie, all the members of both Ten Years After and Led Zeppelin, Paul Simon and Bob Dylan. Being backed by an eight-piece band, an orchestra and eight backup singers the show itself is the more elaborately produced follow-up to his Las Vegas performances of 1969-1970.

    Carney (200 Gram Vinyl)

Hit Maker And Musician's Musician Struck Chart Gold With 1972 Album Carney

Analogue Productions Reissue On 200-Gram Vinyl

Mastered By Kevin Gray At Cohearent Audio From The Original Master Tapes

Plated And Pressed At Quality Record Pressings

Heavyweight Tip-On Old-Style Jacket From Stoughton Printing

With his trademark top hat, hair well past his shoulders, a long, lush beard, an Oklahoma drawl and his fingers splashing two-fisted barrelhouse piano chords, future Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Leon Russell cut a flamboyant figure in the early 1970s. He recorded his first hit single Tight Rope with the release of his third, and most successful album Carney, in 1972, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 200.

Two years earlier Russell had already played on hundreds of songs as one of the top studio musicians in Los Angeles. The Oklahoma-born pianist, guitarist, songwriter and bandleader led Joe Cocker's band Mad Dogs & Englishmen, appeared at George Harrison's 1971 Concert for Bangladesh in New York City and composed numerous hits of his own. He was in Phil Spector's Wall of Sound Orchestra and played sessions for Frank Sinatra, Sam Cooke, Aretha Franklin, the Ventures and the Monkees, among many others.

But it was the top-rated Carney, reissued here on an audibly exquisite 200-gram LP from Analogue Productions, that put Carney into the league of extraordinary musicians. Soulful roots-rock yields to dizzying psychedelia on this, Russell's most famous album. His all-time biggest hit, Tight Rope, leads to Out in the Woods, Cajun Love Song, This Masquerade, and more! No link in the reissue chain was sacrificed, making this outstanding reissue a true audiophile masterpiece. Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio remastered the album from the original master tapes; plating and pressing took place at Quality Record Pressings, makers of the world's finest-sounding LPs. Lastly, as benefits a stellar reissue, we packaged our version in a heavyweight old-style tip-on jacket from Stoughton Printing.

Russell wrote scores of hits for others, among them Superstar, (written with Bonnie Bramlett) for the Carpenters, Delta Lady for Joe Cocker and This Masquerade, for George Benson. His own version of This Masquerade is featured on Carney. More than 100 acts recorded A Song for You, which Russell said he wrote in 10 minutes. Ray Charles' recording of the song in 1993 received a Grammy Award.

Sadly, Russell's life as a musical muse and performer ended with his death at 74 on Nov. 13, 2016, at his home in Nashville. He will be forever remembered for making a broad, sophisticated palette of American music sound down-home and natural.

    Electronic Sound

Remastered From The Original Analogue Master Tapes And Cut At Capitol Studios To Ensure Exceptional Audio Quality Throughout

As a direct result of The Beatles' keen curiosity about experimental music and other avant-garde artistic expression, Apple Records launched its short-lived Zapple subsidiary in February 1969 as a forum for unfettered sonic exploration, or, as announced at the time, 'more freaky sounds'. George's Electronic Sound and John Lennon and Yoko Ono's Unfinished Music No. 2: Life With The Lions, both released in May 1969, were Zapple's only releases before it was closed down. Electronic Sound's cover art, painted by George, depicts his Moog IIIP (which was later used on four tracks by The Beatles on their album Abbey Road) with the four modules from which the sound was synthesized. Each side of the Electronic Sound LP featured one exploratory long-form work. However, the American version of the album placed the pieces on opposite sides to the UK record, but with the same titles retained on the labels. Consequently, there has been confusion about which track is which. Research revealed that the UK LP was correct with 'Under The Mersey Wall' on Side 1 and No Time Or Space on Side 2.

George Harrison's self-titled effort was released in February 1979, following a year away from music and the birth of his son, Dhani. The album included the hit single 'Blow Away' and 'Not Guilty', a song that Harrison originally recorded in 1968 for the Beatles' White Album. The album also features 'Here Comes the Moon', the lyrical successor to his 1969 composition 'Here Comes the Sun'. Harrison co-produced the record with Russ Titelman at his studio, FPSHOT, in Oxfordshire. Amongst others, Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood would make guest appearances. Issued on Dark Horse Records.

In May 1973 came the release of George's second studio album of new songs, Living In The Material World. He was joined in the studio by several musician friends who had also played on All Things Must Pass and others like Jim Keltner, with whom he had worked during The Concert for Bangladesh concerts in 1971. The album and its lead single, 'Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)' both reached number one in America and on charts around the world. The spiritual nature of Living In The Material World, described by Rolling Stone as 'miraculous in its radiance,' is also reflected in the inclusion of an illustration from the Bhagavad-Gita in the artwork.

    ...Like Clockwork

The first album in 6 years from JOSHUA HOMME, TROY VAN
LEEUWEN, MICHAEL SHUMAN, DEAN FERTITA, plus...for the recording, the return of Songs For The Deaf members, DAVE GROHL on drums, NICK OLIVERI and MARK LANEGAN

Plus performances by SIR ELTON JOHN, TRENT REZNOR, ALEX TURNER (Arctic Monkeys), JAKE SHEARS (Scissor Sisters)

Recorded by MARK RANKIN (Adele, "Rolling In The Deep")

For their first album in six years, Joshua Homme's
mighty Queens Of The Stone Age called back classic
members Dave Grohl and Joey Castillo on drums,
and Nick Oliveri and Mark Lanegan on vocals. In
addition, some big names came in to perform:
Elton John, Trent Reznor, Alex Turner (Arctic
Monkeys), Jake Shears (Scissor Sisters), James
Lavelle (U.N.K.L.E.) and more. Of course the current
lineup of Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman and
    Dean Fertita also feature throughout.

...Like Clockwork contains Homme's most intense,
personal and beautiful songwriting to date. While
the thunder of Queens past is still evident (especially
in lead single "My God Is The Sun") there are a
number of gorgeous ballads - meditations on time
passing, the struggle to create art, and the nearness
    of mortality.

The music lives up to the album's lyrical and
conceptual ambitions, with some of Homme's finest
guitar work to date, at times recalling past greats
such as Brian May or George Harrison, at other times
uniquely his own. The rhythm section starts and
stops on a dime, and in some of the more complex
songs, the ensemble playing is virtuosic - but never
    sterile.

The striking album artwork, imagery and intro
animations are by young British artist Boneface,
    working closely with Homme.

The Beatles: On Air - Live At The BBC Volume 2

Features 63 Tracks Total With 37 Previously Unreleased Performances And 23 Tracks Of In-Studio Banter

Includes a 48 Page Booklet With Rare Photos And An Introduction By Paul McCartney

In 1994, The Beatles' Live at the BBC was released to worldwide acclaim - hitting number one in the U.K., number three in the U.S. and selling more than five million copies within six weeks. A new companion to The Beatles' first BBC collection, On Air - Live at the BBC Volume 2, in 180-gram vinyl with a 48-page booklet. On Air's 63 tracks, none of which overlaps with The Beatles' first BBC release, include 37 previously unreleased performances and 23 previously unreleased recordings of in-studio banter and conversation between the band's members and their BBC radio hosts.

In the studios of the British Broadcasting Corporation, The Beatles performed music for a variety of radio shows. On Air - Live at the BBC Volume 2 presents the sound of The Beatles seizing their moment to play for the nation. Thrilled to hear these exciting recordings again, Paul McCartney said, "There's a lot of energy and spirit. We are going for it, not holding back at all, trying to put in the best performance of our lifetimes."

Ten of On Air's songs were never recorded by the group for EMI in the 1960s, including two making their debuts with the new release: The Beatles' direct-to-air performance of Chuck Berry's "I'm Talking About You" and a rocking cover of the standard "Beautiful Dreamer." On Air also includes different versions of six rarities heard on the 1994 BBC collection: Little Richard's "Lucille," Chuck Berry's "Memphis, Tennessee," Chan Romero's "The Hippy Hippy Shake," Ray Charles' "I Got A Woman," and two songs they learned from records by Carl Perkins, "Glad All Over" and "Sure To Fall."

The Beatles' tribute to the BBC's most important pop show of the early '60s - "Happy Birthday, Dear Saturday Club" - is another surprise. As John Lennon recalled in 1980, "We did a lot of tracks that were never on record for Saturday Club - they were well recorded, too." Paul remembers, "We'd been raised on the BBC radio programs. One of the big things in our week was Saturday Club - this great show was playing the kind of music we loved, so that was something we really aspired to."

Between March 1962 and June 1965, no fewer than 275 unique musical performances by The Beatles were broadcast by the BBC in the U.K. The group played songs on 39 radio shows in 1963 alone. Ringo Starr said in 1994, "You tend to forget that we were a working band. It's that mono sound. There were usually no overdubs. We were in at the count-in and that was it. I get excited listening to them." On their busiest BBC day, July 16, 1963, The Beatles recorded 18 songs for three editions of their Pop Go The Beatles series in fewer than seven hours.

The group played 88 distinct songs in their BBC sessions - some were recorded many times; others performed just once. At the time, three national BBC stations provided all daytime radio broadcasting in the U.K. Only the Light Programme network might occasionally play a record. Most broadcast music was live music. Consequently, to promote their releases, The Beatles had to play live at the BBC. "Everything was done instantly," remembered George Harrison, "But before that, we used to drive 200 miles in an old van down the M1, come into London, try and find the BBC and then set up and do the program. Then we'd probably drive back to Newcastle for a gig in the evening!"

On Air also features BBC recordings of 30 well-loved songs from The Beatles' catalogue, including five number on¬es and other favorites such as: "I Saw Her Standing There," "Twist And Shout," "Do You Want To Know A Secret," "Boys," "Please Mister Postman," "Money," "And I Love Her," and "If I Fell."

Like its critically acclaimed predecessor, On Air - Live at the BBC Volume 2 includes audio of The Beatles talking to DJs Brian Matthew and Alan Freeman and Pop Go The Beatles hosts Lee Peters and Rodney Burke. When first broadcast, pop fans were amazed to hear such witty irreverence on the rather formal BBC and it is great fun to hear these extracts now. In addition, On Air releases, for the first time, the group's candid interviews for the Pop Profile series recorded in November 1965 and May 1966.

Newly remastered for reissue on November 11, The Beatles' first Live at the BBC album sounds and looks better than ever. This collection of the group's BBC sessions mixed versions of their hits with a treasure trove of 30 songs The Beatles performed on air but never released on record in the 1960s. The compelling track list ranged from a rare performance of the little known Lennon-McCartney original "I'll Be On My Way" to covers of classic rock 'n' roll and contemporary rhythm and blues songs. At the time of its release, Live at the BBC was hailed by Rolling Stone as "an exhilarating portrait of a band in the process of shaping its own voice and vision." It earned a GRAMMY® Award nomination for Best Historical Album.

Live at the BBC was assembled by George Martin in 1994 and On Air - Live at the BBC Volume Two was compiled and researched by producers Kevin Howlett and Mike Heatley. Both albums have been meticulously mastered by engineers Guy Massey and Alex Wharton at Abbey Road Studios. The booklets for both collections include Kevin Howlett's essays on the history of The Beatles' BBC radio sessions and his detailed commentaries on all of the tracks.

    50th Anniversary Reissue

'Sgt. Pepper' Presented with New Mixes in Stereo and 5.1 Surround Audio; Expanded with Previously Unreleased Session Recordings, Video Features & Special Packaging

Previously Unreleased 1992 Documentary Film, 'The Making of Sgt. Pepper,' Restored for Anniversary Edition's Super Deluxe Boxed Set

Ranked 1/500 On Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time!

It was 50 years ago this June 1st when The Beatles' John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr astonished and delighted the world, ushering in the Summer of Love with Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, a groundbreaking masterwork that became popular music's most universally acclaimed album. To salute the occasion, The Beatles will release a lavishly presented 'Sgt. Pepper' Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition Box Set (4 CD/1 DVD/1 Blu-ray). The album is newly mixed by Giles Martin and Sam Okell in stereo and 5.1 surround audio and expanded with early takes from the studio sessions, including no fewer than 34 previously unreleased recordings.

"It's crazy to think that 50 years later we are looking back on this project with such fondness and a little bit of amazement at how four guys, a great producer and his engineers could make such a lasting piece of art," says Paul McCartney in his newly-penned introduction for the 'Sgt. Pepper' Anniversary Edition.

"'Sgt. Pepper' seemed to capture the mood of that year, and it also allowed a lot of other people to kick off from there and to really go for it," Ringo Starr recalls in the Anniversary Edition's book.

The Beatles' "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Penny Lane," were among the first songs recorded during the 'Sgt. Pepper' sessions, which began in November 1966. Rather than being held for inclusion on the album, the two songs were released as a double A-sided single in February 1967. Amidst intense media speculation about the band's next move, the single bridged what was then considered a long gap between the Revolver album, released in August 1966, and 'Sgt. Pepper,' which followed 10 months later.

This is the first time Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band has been remixed and presented with additional session recordings, and it is the first Beatles album to be remixed and expanded since the 2003 release of Let It Be Naked. To create the new stereo and 5.1 surround audio mixes for 'Sgt. Pepper,' producer Giles Martin and mix engineer Sam Okell worked with an expert team of engineers and audio restoration specialists at Abbey Road Studios in London. All of the Anniversary Edition releases include Martin's new stereo mix of the album, which was sourced directly from the original four-track session tapes and guided by the original, Beatles-preferred mono mix produced by his father, George Martin.

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition includes:

    • CD 1: New stereo album mix
    • CDs 2 & 3:

      - 33 additional recordings from the studio sessions, most previously unreleased and mixed for the first time from the four-track session tapes, sequenced in chronological order of their recording dates

      - A new stereo mix of "Penny Lane" and the 2015 stereo mix of "Strawberry Fields Forever"
    • CD 4:

      - Direct transfers of the album's original mono mix and the "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Penny Lane" singles

      - Capitol Records' U.S. promotional mono single mix of "Penny Lane"

      - Previously unreleased early mono mixes of "She's Leaving Home," "A Day In The Life," and "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" (a mix thought to have been erased from a tape in 1967, but discovered during archive research for the anniversary edition)
    • Discs 5 & 6 (Blu-ray and DVD):

      - New 5.1 surround audio mixes of the album and "Penny Lane" by Giles Martin and Sam Okell, plus their 2015 5.1 surround mix of "Strawberry Fields Forever"

      - High resolution audio versions of the new stereo mixes of the album and "Penny Lane" and of the 2015 stereo mix of "Strawberry Fields Forever"

      - Video features: 4K restored original promotional films for "Strawberry Fields Forever," "Penny Lane," and "A Day In The Life;" plus The Making of Sgt. Pepper, a restored, previously unreleased documentary film (broadcast in 1992), featuring insightful interviews with McCartney, Harrison, and Starr, and in-studio footage introduced by George Martin.

"A splendid time is guaranteed for all"

The album's vibrant artwork, including its extravagant Pop Art cover which finds The Beatles surrounded by a crowd of heroes in a 3D collage, was created by Peter Blake and Jann Haworth in collaboration with the band. - "We hope you will enjoy the show"

Just as many ideas are sparked by chance, 'Sgt. Pepper' first sprang from a conversation between Paul and Beatles roadie Mal Evans on an airplane, when Mal's request to pass the salt and pepper was misheard by Paul as "Sgt. Pepper." The concept of who such a figure could be took root in Paul's mind, blooming with the imagination of The Beatles as an Edwardian era military band -- "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band." The Beatles' creative wellspring for 'Sgt. Pepper' also flowed from such myriad sources as The Beach Boys' Pet Sounds album, a Victorian circus poster ("Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite!"), a TV commercial for breakfast cereal ("Good Morning Good Morning"), a picture drawn by John's young son, Julian ("Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds"), a teen runaway reported in the news ("She's Leaving Home'), and Hindu teachings ("Within You Without You").

"Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song"

Using the standard four-track tape recording equipment of the day, The Beatles collaborated with producer George Martin to achieve "the impossible," as they dubbed it, to go as far out as they could with arrangements and new technology to realize their collective vision for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. As George Martin described it, "We were into another kind of art form where you were putting something down on tape that could only be done on tape." The Beatles clocked more than 400 hours in Abbey Road's Studio 2 to record the album, wrapping sessions in April 1967.

"I read the news today oh boy"

Upon its release on June 1, 1967, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band initially spent 148 weeks in the British chart, including a total of 27 weeks at number one. During its first U.S. chart run, the album held the number one spot for 15 of the 88 weeks it appeared in the Top 200. 'Sgt. Pepper' won four GRAMMY Awards®, including Album of the Year, and it remains one of the most influential and bestselling albums of all time. In 2003, the U.S. Library of Congress selected 'Sgt. Pepper' for the National Recording Registry, recognizing the album as "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." 'Sgt. Pepper' tops Rolling Stone magazine's definitive list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time."

The Traveling Wilburys' all-star configuration came about when Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, George Harrison and Jeff Lynne convened at a Southern California studio in 1988 to record a b-side for one of Harrison's singles. They had such a rockin' good time cutting the track 'Handle With Care' that they decided to release it under the Wilburys moniker. The band's camaraderie can be heard in every groove of their albums Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1 and Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3, reissued here on vinyl with a bonus 12' of remixed and previously unreleased tracks.

    Is That All There Is?

Peggy Lee was 49 years old when Capitol Records released Is That All There Is? in 1969. It was her 42nd album, and it had been over 10 years since the singer born Norma Deloris Egstrom, in 1920, had last graced the US Top 40 with her presence; her sultry take on Little Willie John's 'Fever' scaled the upper echelons of the American hit parade in 1958.

But Lee, a country girl with Scandinavian ancestry who hailed from the plains of North Dakota, had more in the tank. The haunting and idiosyncratic 'Is That All There Is?' (inspired by a short story called Disillusionment from German writer Thomas Mann) captured the public imagination when it was released as a single in the States and started climbing the pop charts, where it peaked at No.11. Such was the song's impact that it won Lee a Grammy Award in the category of Best Contemporary Female Vocal Performance in 1970. Its success was a surprise to Capitol, who thought the song was too odd and esoteric to be a hit.

The song opens Lee's album of the same name and, even today, remains a profoundly potent piece of music. It has the ability to simultaneously provoke conflicting emotions, eliciting both laughter and pathos. Combining a spoken narrative with a plaintive refrain sung over a jaunty rhythm, it evokes the Berlin cabaret scene of the 1920s and the spirit of German composer Kurt Weill. The song was penned and produced by noted hitmakers Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, and it's unlike anything else they wrote: a philosophical rumination that questions the meaning of things.

Arranged and conducted by a young Randy Newman, 'Is That All There Is?' is beautifully delivered by Lee in plangent tones, mixing a droll, ironic humour with a poignant reflection on the absurdity and, indeed, disappointments of life. Despite the song's somber mood and theme of disillusionment, the chorus is gloriously carefree: "Let's keep dancing/Let's break out the booze and have a ball," Lee sings, and she sounds like she means it. (Understandably, the song - which was originally written for, and turned down by, Marlene Dietrich - has inspired many covers over the years, including notable versions by Tony Bennett and PJ Harvey with John Parish.)

Though it was the undoubted cornerstone of Lee's 1969 album, there was much more to enjoy besides the title song. Another Leiber and Stoller composition, 'Whistle For Happiness', is stylistically similar to 'Is That All There Is?' while their 'I'm A Woman' is a swaggering, sassy blues that was first cut by Lee on her 1963 album of the same name and was a minor US chart hit at the time.

Peggy Lee Is Love Story Single Label - 300Elsewhere, Lee deconstructs the Al Jolson-associated 'Me And My Shadow' and imbues it with a languorous sensuality, while the Nancy and Frank Sinatra duet 'Something Stupid' is reconfigured into a breezy bossa nova. Another highlight is her take on Randy Newman's 'Love Story (You And Me)', the opening cut on the singer-songwriter's 1968 debut album for Reprise, which is arranged and conducted by the composer himself. Newman's 'Johnny (Linda)' is also included and has an arrangement that recalls the vaudevillian quirkiness of the album's title track.

Lee also embraced the rock music zeitgeist by tackling The Beatles' George Harrison-penned 'Something' and Neil Diamond's gospel-flavoured 'Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show', though she does them in her own inimitable way.

Is That All There Is? dared to be different and showed that, though Peggy Lee was often typecast as a stereotypical jazz chanteuse, she was a much more versatile performer than had hitherto been revealed. Though its title song is an ode to coping with disappointment, that particular emotion is the last thing that you feel when listening to this classic album, which is a life-affirming delight from beginning to end.

    Brainwashed

Remastered From The Original Analogue Master Tapes And Cut At Capitol Studios To Ensure Exceptional Audio Quality Throughout

    Pressed On 180-Gram Vinyl

Brainwashed is the twelfth and final studio album by George Harrison, released in 2002, almost a year after his death at age 58. Harrison began recording the tracks on Brainwashed as early as 1988 and continued to do so in a sporadic manner over the next decade and a half. Harrison's final work on the album was carried out at a recording studio in Switzerland shortly before his trip to the United States for cancer treatment. On 29 November 2001, Harrison died, leaving Brainwashed unfinished, but with a guide to completing it in the hands of his son and long-time collaborator and close friend, Jeff Lynne. After a few months away from the project, both the younger Harrison and Lynne returned to working on George's final songs and added the appropriate instruments, as per their composer's specifications, to complete his final album.
