ln Summer 2014, the world's most revered monster is reborn when the epic action adventure Godzilla is released. From visionary new director Gareth Edwards (Monsters) comes a powerful story of human courage and reconciliation in the face of titanic forces of nature, when the awe-inspiring Godzilla rises to restore balance as humanity stands defenceless.
Film composer Alexandre Desplat was hired to compose an original soundtrack for Godzilla. Desplat had not composed previously for a monster film, having worked on movies such as The King's Speech, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and the final two Harry Potter films. Desplat accepted the contract after being impressed with Edwards' Monsters. Desplat describes the soundtrack for Godzilla as non-stop fortissimo, with lots of brass, Japanese drums, and electric violin. The score is also conducted by Desplat.LP1

The FleshlandCoffins' Relapse debut 'The Fleshland' has all the subtlety of Godzilla's destruction of Tokyo. After 3 full lengths and countless underground splits and eps, Japan's Coffins have ascended from cult heroes to death/doom royalty, and 'The Fleshland' may just be their best effort yet. Absolutely punishing monolithic riffs combine with disgusting grooves to create one of the heaviest records to ever rise out of the east. Shifty Adventures In Nookie WoodShifty Adventures in Nookie Wood is a title to set tongues wagging and minds wondering, but for an album that seems born of a return to John's youth it seems safely apt in its mischievousness.
After nearly 50 years of making music it's still freshly evident that Cale draws from a make believe world first imagined by his young self. Track title 'Mothra' pays homage to the Japanese monster from Godzilla movies. As a boy practicing scales in grey skied Welsh valleys such fantastical flights of fancy must have been reassuring of the path that was potentially about to unfold for him. Lyrics reveal even more explicitly earlier incarnations of Cale and in the same song we relive an encounter with a local bully, You see me running, you see me climb, reading my books and always trying, laughing and teasing and I love to play, dreaming my dreams are never far away.
Elsewhere Cale's doing what he does best, guiding listeners through the places, politics, and people of the day. A wide range of human experience is reflected and often it's for the listener to dig deeper to find what's being documented. Sometimes however part of the tapestry is pulled soberingly into focus; when listening to 'Scotland Yard' while the Leveson enquiry plays out, it's all too easy to recognize the guilty.
As a producer Cale has reached a new plateau on this record. At the albums most maximal, it feels like looking at a collection of precious stones. Myriads of differently coloured and textured surfaces carefully placed together, each finding their own space to beckon the ear. It's a blend of chaos and beauty in equal measure and a testament to the exploratory spirit at work, which ensures that as always, there's something new to the ears here.1. I Wanna Talk 2 U

Vinyl Bonus Track Deeper Underground
Synkronized is the fourth studio album released by funk/acid jazz band Jamiroquai, fronted by vocalist and key-member Jay Kay. Originally released in 1999, Synkronized is the band's follow-up to the successful album Traveling Without Moving. The album includes the singles Canned Heat (#1 on the US Dance Charts), Supersonic (#1 on the US Dance Charts and #22 on the UK singles chart), King for a Day, Black Capricorn Day, and Deeper Underground.
The single Deeper Underground originally appeared on the soundtrack to the 1998 film, Godzilla. The song became a hit in several countries and the group's first and only single to reach number one on the UK Singles Chart. The Music On Vinyl version has Deeper Underground added as a special vinyl bonus track which the original LP version from 1999 lacked.
The entire album is a fine example of fusing pop, funk-acid jazz, ethnic influences and Jay Kay's interest in funk and disco and still sounds fresh and groovy today.1. Canned Heat (Album Version)

CellsFour years and four EPs on, Keating is still something of an enigma. He doesn't prey on fame, he does very few interviews and he isn't part of a DJ crew: he has always preferred to let his music speak for itself. He's been in no hurry to release a record either - until now, that is. Keating has found a home on Different Recordings, which counts club crusaders like Tiga, Felix Da Housecat and Vitalic among its roster, and is finally ready to present his mission statement: Cells.
An album is such a personal manifesto, he says, of why he has waited until now to release Cells, and, in some ways, I didn't feel as if I'd earned that. I hadn't got their full attention yet. He should, however, give himself more credit. Since Mars, Keating has released another chart-nudging single, I Think I Like It, remixed with everyone from Hot Chip and Gossip to Calvin Harris and Sway, produced three memorable mixes for Radio 1 and appeared on huge party bills with the biggest names in dance music. He has also started a label, Blood Music, and has hosted its showcases at Social Club in Paris and London's Fabric. And he has just dropped a new EP, Yes/No, to ready fans for his debut long-player. The world, as it happens, is bloodthirstily waiting: Cells is one of the most anticipated dance albums of 2012.
It's a daring one at that. Cells is an 11-track distillation of Keating's surreal vision, an electronic masterpiece skewered by his love of the macabre, the uncanny and the sinister. He has trapped his signature breed of savage, Godzilla-strength basslines and laser-blazing four-to-the-floor inside his very own suspense thriller.1. Yes / No

Maps Of Non-Existent PlacesClaudio Sanchez has officially launched his record label Evil Ink Records and his first signing is New Jersey's young experimental progressive rock septet
Thank You Scientist. The newly formed label, distributed by INgrooves, will be releasing a fully remixed and remastered version of the band's 2012 debut
full-length record, Maps of Non-Existent Places, in time for their run with Coheed and Cambria's "Neverender:IKSSE3 Tour."
Claudio Sanchez knows a little bit about progressive music. His career has spanned 12 years and 7 albums, likely encompassing the longest concept
album arc in the history of rock and roll. Now, in effort to further support and promote his beloved complex genre, he has launched a label dedicated to
sharing a wealth of future talent with the first signing being the extremely talented seven-piece band Thank You Scientist.
For the uninitiated, Thank You Scientist was forged from the music program at Montclair State University in New Jersey when guitarist Tom Monda met
saxophonist Ellis Jasenovic and trumpeter Andrew Digrius. The three bonded over their love for Frank Zappa, Mahavishnu Orchestra, The Beatles and
Harry Nilsson. Those influences would become the seeds for what Thank You Scientist would evolve into today.
With the addition of vocalist Salvatore Marrano, bassist Greg Colacino, drummer Odin Alvarez and violinist Ben Karas, Thank You Scientist's lineup of
virtuoso musicians was complete. The band would go on to self-release an EP, The Perils of Time Travel, in 2011 followed by their debut full-length, Maps
of Non-Existent Places, in 2012, which caught the ear of Sanchez, a fellow purveyor of progressive stylings, and led to his signing of the band.
To pinpoint Thank You Scientist's sound would be inconceivable. On Maps of Non-Existent Places they hold a virtual master class on musicianship,
fusing elements of progressive rock with jazz fusion, classical, metal, psychedelic and pop for a head spinning, mind-blowing listening experience. The
seven-piece band, who collectively play some 20 instruments, boasts a hyper-composed sound which is indebted to their experience and formal training
in both classical and jazz idioms.
A Frank Zappa for the indie generation? Incubus jamming with the Mahavishnu Orchestra? Mr. Bungle and Steely Dan joining forces to fight Godzilla?
King Crimson and the Brecker Brothers serenading you at your bedside? It all seems so strange on paper, yet it's sure to satisfy your ears in the best of

Terra Incognita (Out Of Stock)Originally dubbed Godzilla, after the scaly, green film star with an equally huge reputation as the newfound band's sound, the brothers Duplantier - guitars/vocalist Joe and Drummer Mario - and fellow Frenchman Michel Labadie on bass and Christian Andreu on guitar, quickly released several demos, ultimately changing the band's name and independently releasing the first Gojira album, Terra Incognita in 2001, offering up a brief glimpse into the giant Gojira would eventually become through persistent hard work and years of toiling in the metal underground.
Now remastered and for the very first time available in Lp version with 3 exclusive live bonuses, Gojira's Terra Incognita album, seen by their fans as the band's ultimate classic, will undoubtedly draw major interest worldwide as the band is destroying festivals across Europe!1. Clone
