Ranked 193/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Green Day's third release and major label debut, Dookie turned the San Francisco Bay area trio into overnight stars in 1994 and they've never looked back. Their infectious brand of modern punk revitalized the genre with its flippant humor and ironic self-loathing. The album produced the five hit singles Longview, Welcome to Paradise, Basket Case, She and When I Come Around and remains the band's biggest selling record. Dookie won the 1995 Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Performance. Green Day was also nominated for Best New Artist, Basket Case was nominated for Best Rock Performance By a Duo or Group With Vocal and Longview was nominated for Best Hard Rock Performance.

    21st Century Breakdown

Green Days long-awaited eighth studio album, 21st Century Breakdown, is the trios first studio release since 2004s Grammy-winning Best Rock Album American Idiot, which debuted at #1, spawned five hit singles, and sold more than 12 million copies worldwide. Double heavyweight 180g black vinyl produced at Record Industry and housed in a Stoughton gatefold jacket.

A dozen years before Green Days Grammy-winning, five-times-platinum, #1 charting American Idiot punk rock epic, and before Dookie launched the band to multiplatinum heights, there was Kerplunk!. Previously out of print and nearly impossible to find, Green Days second full-length album, now being reissued for the first time on a major label, introduced drummer Tre Cool and defined the bands sound with memorable riffs, metal-strength momentum and a decades worth of attitude. Produced by Green Day and recorded in Oakland, Revolution Radio is a potent 12-track blitz of angst-ridden anthems that unites Green Day's fully formed stylistic approach with lyrical themes that address the complexities and uncertainties of modern day existence. Musically, the album is raw, visceral, and fearless -- solidifying the band's reign as one of the leading voices in rock music. The first single, Bang Bang, released today and inspired by recent events, marks a welcome return from a band with more to say than ever.

Of course the world has lost its collective mind... and me, Mike and TrÉ are lost souls too, said Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong. Revolution Radio is a movement for lost souls to come together... dance together... sing together... and most of all, find each other. Theres one rule in hip hop music that has transcended all of the phases in its four decade history: it doesnt matter what you do, but how you do it that really counts. This fact is no secret to Kev Brown (producer for Busta Rhymes, De La Soul, etc) who eschews the obscure in favor of certified soul classics as sample fodder for this project with emcee Kaimbr, The Alexander Green Project. Taking the familiar and reappropriating it into your own formula is no straightforward task but the soul-infused production on display with this project proves that in the right hands even the most recognizable of sources can be built into a fresh and engaging aesthetic. Kev Brown has those hands. Snippets of vocals punctuate sumptuous beats that are laced with chopped up strings, horn stabs, and intricate guitar licks to form a collection unified by source but ranging from the breezy to the bangin in terms of vibe. Kaimbr adds the final piece to this musical puzzle by combining a relaxed yet confident delivery with intricate rhyme schemes that nestle themselves assuredly into the beat.

    A Day In Nashville

For his new album A Day In Nashville, guitarist Robben Ford and his band spent a day in the Music City studio Sound Kitchen, invited some friends and recorded seven new songs penned by Ford, along with his version of "Poor Kelly Blues" from Maceo Merriweather and "Cut You Loose", first recorded by James Cotton. The album is due out in 2014 via Mascot Label Group/Provogue.

The follow up to 2013's acclaimed Bringing It Back Home, A Day in Nashville was originally planned as a live album to be recorded during his 2013 European tour. Inspired to write some new music, Robben instead decided to challenge himself and his band by doing something he's never done before in his 40-plus year career: recording an album live in the studio, in one session."We had a great experience," says Robben, who was joined by guitarist Audley Freed, keyboardist Ricky Peterson, bassist Brian Allen, drummer Wes Little and trombonist Barry Green. "We decided to make the record in a controlled environment, but treat it like a live show."

Al Green Explores Your Mind (Pure Pleasure) (Awaiting Repress)

By the time of 1974's Al Green Explores Your Mind, this version of the Memphis sound was the production style for only a handful of artists. Producer Willie Mitchell used a lighter touch for his most famous artist, and it's all but crafted into the Al Green sound. Despite his skills, Green never falls into mannerism here and gives heartfelt and cogent vocals rooted in intelligence and technique. Sha-La-La (Make Me Happy), although lyrically slight, has the artist's charisma and Mitchell's pop chops. Take Me to the River, with perfect backing from Hi Rhythm and a horn and string arrangement, finds Green at his most persuasive. The last track, School Days, has Green longing for a school girlfriend and despite the potentially sappy sentiment, it works like a charm. The greatness of Al Green Explores Your Mind comes from a collective effort, including James Mitchell's dreamlike string arrangements and the always skilled backing vocals of Rhodes, Chalmers & Rhodes. But the biggest draw here is Green's phrasing and intimate vocals, making the record an extremely strong effort.

    About Pure Pleasure

At the beginning of the 90s, in the early days of audiophile vinyl re-releases, the situation was fairly straightforward. Companies such as DCC, Mobile Fidelity, Classic Records and, of course, Pure Pleasure all maintained a mutual, unwritten ethical code: we would only use analogue tapes to manufacture records.

During the course of the present vinyl hype, many others have jumped on the bandwagon in the hope of securing a corner of the market. Very often they are not so ethical and use every imaginable source to master from: CDs, LPs, digital files, MP3s - or employed existent tools from the 80s and 90s for manufacturing.

A digital delay is gladly used when cutting a lacquer disc because tape machines with an analogue delay have become quite rare and are therefore expensive. When cutting the lacquer, the audio signal is delayed by one LP revolution against the signal, which controls the cutter head, and for this a digital delay is very often employed. Of course, the resultant sound signal is completely digital and thus only as good as this delay.

We should like to emphasize that Pure Pleasure Records on principle only uses the original master tape as the basis for the entirely analogue cutting of lacquer discs. In addition, the pressing tool is newly manufactured as a matter of principle.

We only employ existing tools for manufacturing if an improved result is not forthcoming, e.g. the title Elvis Is Back, which was mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray, or several titles from our Philips Classics series, which in any case Willem Makkee cut from the original masters at the Emil Berliner Studios in the 90s. It goes without saying that we only used the mother and that new tools were made for our production.

To put it in a nutshell: we can ensure you that our releases are free from any kind of digital effects and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.

Al Green Gets Next To You (Pure Pleasure) (Awaiting Repress)

After the shaky start of Green Is Blues, Al Green and producer Willie Mitchell established their classic sound with Green's second album, Gets Next to You. The main difference is in the rhythm section. Abandoning the gritty syncopations of deep Southern soul, the Hi Rhythm Section plays it slow and seductive, working a sultry, steady pulse that Green exploits with his remarkable voice. Alternating between Sam Cooke's croon and Otis Redding's shout, Green develops his own distinctive style, and Gets Next To You only touches the surface of its depth. Although the album is filled with wonderful moments, few are as astonishing as Green and Mitchell's reinterpretation of the Temptations' I Can't Get Next to You, which turns the original inside out.

    One Lovely Day (Awaiting Repress)

Dug deep into the rich soil of American music, Cope's roots are complex. You may think of Bill Withers or Neil Young or John Lee Hooker or Van Morrison or Willie Nelson or Al Green. Yet, listening to Cope, you also may think none of the above. You may not think at all, but rather feel a man exposing stories that haunt his heart.

He was born Clarence Greenwood, a child of the '70s, and his life journey is as singular as his art. He is the radically mashed-up product of Greenville, Mississippi; Memphis, Tennessee; Vernon, Texas; Washington, DC; and Brooklyn, New York. These locations are felt everywhere in his stories. His sounds are southern rural, big sky lonely, concrete urban, and painfully romantic. In the past nine years, he has produced four albums of depth and distinction, each a critical chapter in his search for a sound that paints an auditory American landscape in which despair wars with hope, tied to love, is elusive.

Cope's musical evolution was catch-as-catch can. Folk tales, whether through William Faulkner or Big Bill Broonzy, shaped his sensitivity. A few college courses at Texas Tech alternately bored and excited him. In Austin in the '80s, he took sound classes and found himself fooling with a primitive four-track setup. Turntables intrigued him. He heard hip hop as inspired invention. For years, he got lost in his self-designed lab, cooking up beats and motifs that only later would be shaped into songs. This, his new album, One Lovely Day is anchored by the yearning title track single which features some of his finest songwriting to date.

    Minor Love

After Adam Green's work with The Moldy Peaches was done, he recorded 6 solo albums, including his latest, Minor Love. Recorded with long time producer/friend Noah Georgeson in a luxurious pool house in Los Angeles, Minor Love found Green enlisting the talents of Rodrigo from Little Joy, his brother Joel, and Joe Steinbeck and Greg from Megapuss. The album showcases a tender side of the often arrogant and emotionally unavailable bully/singer, Green.

    Shenanigans

Shenanigans is the companion piece to 2001's International Superhits. Where that compilation collected Green Day's singles, this rounds up the B-sides and such ephemera as soundtrack compilations, gathering the best for a 14-track trek through the band's alternate history. Vinyl package features one regular weight black vinyl disc in a single pocket jacket with insert.

    39/Smooth

    Plus 2 7'' Vinyl LPs

This is where the garage punk-pop revival began. Before Nirvana and Nevermind, there was Green Day and the 1991 indie-released 39/Smooth. MTV, multiplatinum albums and massive critical acclaim were still in the distance at this point. 39/Smooth was a three chord explosion of unfettered, even goofy, energy and passion. Previously out of print, this elusive album, now reissued for the first time on a major label, marks the genesis of modern rock. The earliest offering from what has become one of the biggest acts in the world today.

I Want to Grow Up (Awaiting Repress)

"If you like punk, weed, and lo-fi rock'n'roll then you'll probably love Colleen Green. If you
don't like all of those things, you'll probably still love Colleen Green." -- BUST

"Sharper and more cathartic than it seems." -- Pitchfork

"Stoney punk tracks with yearning, sweet vocals but scathing guitar." --Stereogum

    Growing up.

As a prospect it can be terrifying, sad, and worst of all, inevitable. But on I Want to Grow Up, her second
album for Hardly Art, Colleen Green lets us know that we don't have to go it alone.

This latest collection of songs follows a newly 30-year-old Green as she carefully navigates a minefield
of emotion. Her firm belief in true love is challenged by the inner turmoil caused by entering modern
adulthood, but that doesn't mean that her faith is defeated. With a nod to her heroes, sentimental SoCal
punks The Descendents, Green too wonders what it will be like when she gets old. Throughout songs
such as Some People, Deeper Than Love, and the illustrative title track, the listener has no choice but
to feel the sympathetic growing pains of revelatory maturation and the anxieties that come along with it.

Sonically the album is a major change for the LA-based songwriter, who has come to be known for her
homemade recordings and merchandise. Her past offerings have been purely Green; testaments to her
self-sufficiency and, perhaps, trepidation. This time, she's got a little help from her friends: the full band
heard here includes JEFF the Brotherhood's Jake Orrall and Diarrhea Planet's Casey Weissbuch, who
collaborated with Green over ten days at Sputnik Sound in Nashville, TN.

I Want to Grow Up is an experience, not unlike life: questioning, learning, taking risks. And in true CG
fashion, a quote from a beloved 90s film seems the perfect summation: Understanding is reached only
    after confrontation.
