Flash HarryHarry Nilsson's Last Album, Unavailable For Over 30 Years!
Finally Released For The First Time Ever In North America.
Paul McCartney and John Lennon described him as the Beatles' favorite group, he won Grammy awards, wrote and recorded hit songs, and yet no figure in popular music is as much of a paradox, or as underrated, as Harry Nilsson.
Flash Harry was the 16th and final album released by Harry Nilsson. Originally issued only on vinyl in the U.K. and Japan. This legendary album has never been released in the U.S. The album features Nilsson's own recording of Old Dirt Road, co-written and performed with John Lennon on Lennon's album Walls and Bridges (1974), Lennon's last album of original songs before his six year hiatus. Other song collaborators include Lowell George, Van Dyke Parks and Ringo Starr. The title track "Harry" is performed by Eric Idle and Charlie Dore.1. Harry • Eric Idle and Charlie Dore

Harry Nilsson could be one of the more neglected but great singer-songwriters of the 20th century. John Lennon & Paul McCartney both named him as their favourite American singer in a 1968 press conference.
The Monkees, Fred Astaire, the Yardbirds, and later artists such as Aimee Mann and Mariah Carey recorded his songs.
But ask the average Joe about him, and they probably won't know that he was the man behind classics such as 'Everybody's Talkin', 'One' and 'Without You'.
Harry had a taste for Tin Pan Alley songs & McCartney-esque melodies, but his impish wit and impressive vocal range give his songs an extra dimension.
Nilsson Schmilsson contains his biggest hit 'Without You', along with other classics such as the faux-tropical song 'Coconut' and the bluesy 'Early In The Morning'.
This album is more accessible and cohesive than any of his other albums and received a number of Grammy nominations on its 1971 release, yet it still manages to keep the mischievous and slightly off-kilter humour.

Aerial Ballet (Speakers Corner)To define in a nutshell the music of Harry Nilsson in accordance with his personality can easily become a fiasco. The American singer-songwriter might well share his reputation as a multi-talented eccentric with a number of other musicians. However, his highly unusual style and his »satirical catchy pop songs [composed] with the sparkling eye of a cynic and the tearful eye of a nostalgic« (rororo Rock Lexicon) cannot be pigeonholed. Nilsson packaged derisive lines, spiced with a pinch of self-irony, in suspiciously pleasing yet carefully selected tunes. His cultivated and astonishingly supple voice basked to the full in bittersweet phrases, aided by elaborate, melting, slushy arrangements with strings and winds. Several of the wonderfully fresh numbers from Aerial Ballet reached top places in the charts. Everybody's Talkin' became world-famous through its use in the film Asphalt Cowboy and brought Nilsson his first Grammy award. The song One soared to the top ten of the charts. The other light and airy songs now invite you to create your very own hit list. Every single number makes great listening!

About Speakers Corner
At the beginning of the 90s, in the early days of audiophile vinyl re-releases, the situation was fairly straightforward. Companies such as DCC, Mobile Fidelity, Classic Records and, of course, Speakers Corner all maintained a mutual, unwritten ethical code: we would only use analogue tapes to manufacture records.
During the course of the present vinyl hype, many others have jumped on the bandwagon in the hope of securing a corner of the market. Very often they are not so ethical and use every imaginable source to master from: CDs, LPs, digital files, MP3s - or employed existant tools from the 80s and 90s for manufacturing.
A digital delay is gladly used when cutting a lacquer disc because tape machines with an analogue delay have become quite rare and are therefore expensive. When cutting the lacquer, the audio signal is delayed by one LP revolution against the signal, which controls the cutter head, and for this a digital delay is very often employed. Of course, the resultant sound signal is completely digital and thus only as good as this delay.
We should like to emphasise that Speakers Corner Records on principle only uses the original master tape as the basis for the entirely analogue cutting of lacquer discs. In addition, the pressing tool is newly manufactured as a matter of principle. We have one digital recording in our catalogue (Alan Parsons / Eye In The Sky"), but even in this particular case we used the analogue tapes for cutting.
We only employ existing tools for manufacturing if an improved result is not forthcoming, e.g. the title Elvis Is Back, which was mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray, or several titles from our Philips Classics series, which in any case Willem Makkee cut from the original masters at the Emil Berliner Studios in the 90s. It goes without saying that we only used the mother and that new tools were made for our production.
To put it in a nutshell: we can ensure you that our releases are free from any kind of digital effects - excluding the exception above - and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.1. Daddy's Song

Good Times!Who's ready to have some fun with The Monkees as they celebrate their 50th anniversary? With a tour kicking off in May and the group's first new album in 20 years, GOOD TIMES!, releasing, Monkee-mania will be taking 2016 by storm!
GOOD TIMES! features all three surviving band members - Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith, and Peter Tork. The unmistakable voice of the late Davy Jones is also included with a vintage vocal featured on one song. To produce the new album, the band found the perfect musical co-conspirator in Grammy® and Emmy®-winning songwriter Adam Schlesinger (Fountains Of Wayne, Ivy).
Much like The Monkees' early albums, GOOD TIMES! features tracks written specifically for the band by some of the music world's most gifted songwriters, including Rivers Cuomo (Weezer), Ben Gibbard (Death Cab For Cutie), Andy Partridge (XTC), and Zach Rogue (Rogue Wave) as well as a song co-written by Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller. The album also includes songwriting contributions by Nesmith ("I Know What I Know") and Tork as well as producer Schlesinger.
To help bring the anniversary full circle, The Monkees completed songs for GOOD TIMES! that were originally recorded and written for the group during the 60s, including "Love To Love" by Neil Diamond, which features a vintage vocal by Jones. Harry Nilsson wrote the title track "Good Times," which he recorded at a session with Nesmith in January 1968. The production was never completed, so the band returned to the original session tape (featuring Nilsson's guide vocal) and have created a duet with his close friend Dolenz. "Good Times" will mark the first time Dolenz and Nilsson have sung together since Dolenz' May 1973 single "Daybreak." Other vintage 1960's tracks included on GOOD TIMES! feature L.A.'s famed "Wrecking Crew" of session musicians.
"This is one of the most exciting Monkee projects I've been involved in for decades!" says Dolenz. "Working with Adam Schlesinger has been a pure delight and the opportunity to sing a duet with my old buddy, Harry Nilsson, is just beyond cool!"1. Good Times

Pandemonium Shadow Show180 Gram Pressed At RTI
Nilsson's first true album, 1967's Pandemonium Shadow Show, is an astonishing collection that announces the artist's unique vaudevillian take on 1960s pop music-a style that brought him to the attention of the Beatles by way of their press agent Derek Taylor. Produced by Rick Jarrard (Jefferson Airplane, JosÉ Feliciano) and primarily arranged by George Tipton, the set strikes a balance between Harry's breathtaking originals (the autobiographical "1941," the melancholy "Without Her" and the playful "Ten Little Indians") and a tasteful array of covers (the Beatles' "You Can't Do That" and "She's Leaving Home," as well as Phil Spector's gargantuan "River DeepMountain High"), all the while showcasing the vocal prowess of the True One. Plus, the usual benefits of a vintage mono mix are here-a louder rhythm section, more present bass, and an overall sense of ensemble that stereo of the era could rarely capture. Reservoir Dogs SoundtrackImport
25th Anniversary Edition
Could you think of any other film producer that picks better soundtracks than the widely revered Quentin Tarantino? Inventing a genre on his own, his string of best-selling nouvelle violence movies started out in 1992 with the low budget cult classic Reservoir Dogs.
The film follows a band of criminals preparing for a diamond heist and follows the characters in the crime's aftermath. Its cast consists of sublime actors such as Harvey Keitel (whose comeback was a direct result of this film), Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Chris Penn (Sean's brother) and Steve Buscemi as the legendary character of Mr. Pink. The film's sparkling dialog catapulted Reservoir Dogs to eternal cult status and remains a favorite among movie fans all over the world, a fame to which its soundtrack contributed a great deal.
Music On Vinyl is proud to release these so-called 'Super Sounds Of The Seventies', a selection of unusual and sometimes wacky hits by artists such as Stealers Wheel, Harry Nilsson (Coconut is included on Nilsson Schmilsson [MOVLP279]) and Joe Tex. The movie also raised public interest in the Dutch band George Baker Selection, due to the use of his Little Green Bag in the film's opening titles. Keep On Truckin'!

This Is The Town: A Tribute To Nilsson Vol 1 (Awaiting Repress)Pressed On Yellow Limited Edition Vinyl
This Is The Town: A Tribute to Nilsson (Volume One), is a 20-track collection that celebrates the artistry and songs of the legendary singer-songwriter Harry Nilsson. Produced by Kenny Siegal and recorded over the course of 2013 at Old Soul Studios in Catskill, NY, the album features a diverse gathering of young artists performing songs that span the breadth of Nilsson's repertoire, including "Early In The Morning" by Langhorne Slim, "Jump Into The Fire" by Low Cut Connie, "Are You Sleeping" by Marco Benevento, "Rainmaker" by Yellowbirds, "Think About Your Troubles" by Willy Mason and "Everybody's Talkin'" by Tracy Bonham. Harry's daughter Annie Nilsson contributes a rendition of "Gotta Get Up," along with the original illustrations that serve as the album's artwork.
"Each artist has taken a Nilsson song that meant something to them, and with passion and inspiration, transformed it into something that is both a fitting tribute, and entirely their own," Kenny Siegal explains. "In doing so, they are helping Harry Nilsson to be remembered as his songs live again through these new creative interpretations."
Harry Nilsson's son Zak Nilsson has endorsed This Is The Town, stating: "There is a huge breadth of talent here. So many of these songs grabbed me from the first phrase, like it kicks in and I'm just sitting here thinking, 'oh wow.' Some of them are just absolutely perfect. They are covers of Harry's songs, but they have a lot of those sort of signature Nilsson twists in them. The kind of versions only real fans of Harry's music could put together."
Conceived by Kenny Siegal as a two volume set, he is already at work recording the second edition to the tribute.1. Langhorne Slim - Early In The Morning

Hollywood VampiresIn 1969 the Hollywood Vampires were born in the upstairs bar at the Rainbow Bar & Grill. "To join the club, one simply had to out drink all of the members," says Alice Cooper, a founding member of the Vampires. "I would walk in on a typical night" Alice says, "and John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, Keith Moon, Bernie Taupin, Jim Morrison and Mickey Dolenz would be there.
Three years ago, Alice and good friend Johnny Depp got together and decided the spirit of the Hollywood Vampires should live again. Alice and Johnny were joined by Joe Perry, producer Bob Ezrin and an amazing group of guests including Perry Farrell, Dave Grohl, Sir Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh, Slash, Robbie Krieger, Zak Starkey, Brian Johnson and Kip Winger.

Up On The Chair BeatriceSusan Cowsill and Vicki Peterson have been playing music apart and together for their entire lives. Susan was a child star with her family band, who were the real life template for The Partridge Family. Vicki of course is known as a member of The Bangles.
The two first performed as The Psycho Sisters in the early years of the last decade of the previous century. At that time, both were members, along with Peter Holsapple, of the much loved band The Continental Drifters.
After many years of friendship, the two decided to make a proper album. Up On the Chair, Beatrice features ten tunes of harmony, hooks and just a touch of New Orleans Hoodoo. Includes The Singles Weight Of The World And Don't Go Where The Road Don't Go
Featuring Jeff Lynne, Brian Wilson, Harry Nilsson, Andrew Gold (Wax), Jeff Baxter (Steely Dan), Mark Hart (Supertramp) & Many Other Guest Appearances
When The Beatles were formed in 1960, Ringo Starr was a member of another Liverpool group, Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. After achieving moderate success with that band, he quit and joined The Beatles in August 1962, replacing Pete Best. Starr played key roles in The Beatles' films and appeared in numerous others. After the break-up in 1970, Ringo Starr released several successful singles including the It Don't Come Easy, Photograph Back Off Boogaloo and You're Sixteen.
Ringo Starr achieved commercial and critical success with his 1973 album Ringo, which was a top ten release in several countries. He has been featured in a number of documentaries and hosted television shows. Since 1989, he has toured with twelve variations of Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band.
Time Takes Time is the tenth studio album by Ringo Starr, released in 1992, his critically acclaimed comeback album. His first studio album since 1983's Old Wave, it followed a successful 1989-90 world tour with his All-Starr Band. Time Takes Time features several celebrity guests including Brian Wilson, Harry Nilsson and Electric Light Orchestra front man Jeff Lynne.
Many critics considered Time Takes Time Starr's best album since 1973's Ringo. Rolling Stone magazine wrote, The drummer's most consistent, wide-awake album since Ringo, from 1973.
Hot on the heels of the release of Ringo's latest album Give More Love, 2017 also marks the 25th anniversary of Time Takes Time. The album is now finally available again on vinyl.1. Weight Of The World

Another OneLike the days of Steely Dan or Harry Nilsson releasing a classic album every year (or less) comes Mac DeMarco's Another One, a Mini-LP announced one year after the release of the meteorically successful Salad Days. Written and recorded during the downtime between a relentless touring schedule, Another One is an eight-track release that expands the arsenal of Mac's already impressive catalog, showing the maturity of Mac's progression as songwriter: it's a bit more refined, a bit more sophisticated, but nonetheless retains the guts and soul of classic Mac. Despite working at the same pace as artists like Creedence and The Rolling Stones, coupled with an equally unending schedule of touring and press, it's odd that Mac is labeled as a slacker. With two full-lengths and two EPs released and hundreds of sold out shows performed in the last several years, a recent late night television debut on Conan following a special performance on The Eric Andre Show, it seems, as Mac nears his 25th birthday, there's not a slack bone in the man's body. When I Said I Wanted To Be Your DogCall it a curse: Jens Lekman's world is populated by an endless stream of women. There he is, his hair mussed and glasses off-kilter, sitting in the corner of the cafe with his journal once again - and he's being torn in two. Moments ago he fell in love with the redheaded barista who nailed his order - when she scooted that cappuccino across the counter, it was clear that there was a connection. And now, his eye catches the picture of divinity in the shape of the most finely featured brunette he's ever seen...and she's looking his way. But which way to go? It's tragic having to make such choices. Like Fellini's The Man Who Loved Women, Jens Lekman is a man forever at a crossroads between competing inspirations.
At only 23, Lekman has deservedly been the center of much hype in Scandinavia. Having made a name for himself performing under the name Rocky Dennis, he recently hit #2 on the Swedish National Pop Charts. Most everyone who's heard him believes him to be the next great pop star emerging from the streets of the DIY underground. With an angelic voice and golden ears he seems to be drinking from the same hard waters as The Carpenters, Harry Nilsson, The Magnetic Fields, Runt-era Todd Rundgren, Bill Callahan's Smog, The Modern Lovers, Rufus Wainwright and Belle & Sebastian.Side A

SlurrupHayes has been making critically acclaimed pop records since 1994, when he released the single "Three-Quarters Blind Eyes" b/w "Found a Little Baby". Considered by many to be a pop classic, it helped to establish him as a songwriter. In 1998, he released More You Becomes You, a spare, stripped-down collection of his intimate tunes. In 2002, he released Fed, a lush, orchestral album. 2009's Bright Penny, an ode to pop music, was released under the name Liam Hayes and Plush.
Although he emerged from the Chicago indie-rock scene, Hayes is often compared with artists such as Jimmy Webb, Brian Wilson, Laura Nyro, Burt Bacharach and Harry Nilsson. Like some of the best folk-pop or soft soul from the 1960's of 1970's there is a timeless quality to his music.
Hayes is not the kind of artist who spends all day interacting on social media. He doesn't reveal a lot in interviews. He's not trying to be cagey or eccentric or elusive, he would just rather keep the focus on his songs. And let's face it, mystique is underrated in this era of over-sharing. Described by Uncut as 'one of the most charismatic and eccentric cult pop craftsmen of the past 20 years', Hayes has a newly completed album right around the corner, to be released worldwide on Fat Possum. While comparably retro, Hayes' newly completed "Slurrup" is leaner and meaner than anything he's done all millennium.1. Slurrup

Nevada Fighter (Pre-Order)
White Colored Vinyl
The final installment in Michael Nesmith's American Trilogy, Nevada Fighter chronicles not only our great nation, but the fragmentation of his First National Band. Recorded from August 1970 through January of 1971, the album augments the original band's line-up (Red Rhodes, John London & John Ware who had disbanded before release) with guest musicians such as James Burton, Ron Tutt, Joe Osborn & Glen D. Hardin. The album revisits one of Nesmith's earliest compositions Propinquity (I've Just Begun To Care), which was penned back in 1965 prior to Nesmith becoming a Monkee, ultimately producing Nesmith's fourth and final post-Monkees chart hit. The album's title track, Nevada Fighter€ was also a charting single in April 1971, reaching #70.
The album's first side is all Nesmith originals, while side two features covers of Harry Nilsson, Bob Wills, and others. Issued in May 1971, Nevada Fighter became another collectable that was never reissued in its original form. It is available again on gold vinyl from Sundazed for the first time since the 1970's.1.
