High HopesHigh Hopes' finds Bruce Springsteen in a number of different musical settings, and includes the E Street Band members in various large and small combinations as well as guitarist Tom Morello on eight tracks. Besides Morello, the album also includes appearances on several songs by Clarence Clemons, who passed away in 2011, and Danny Federici, who passed away in 2008, on what Springsteen calls some of our best unreleased material from the past decade. The album was recorded in New Jersey, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Australia and New York City and marks Springsteen's 18th studio album. As Bruce writes in the albums liner notes, I felt they were among the best of my writing and deserved a proper studio recording.LP 1

ADAD-MAT-1185xBelle And Sebastian
The Boy With The Arab StrapThis highly anticipated album from Belle and Sebastian arrives with every hope satisfied. Each song is a cunning short story that wraps itself around you like a cozy couch throw. The loose theme running through this 12-song reverie is seduction. It plays out in both the drowsy sexual hopes of principal songwriter Stuart Murdoch's idle protagonists and the giddiness of bandmate Stevie Jackson's Seymour Stein and Chickfactor, which document his bewitchment by the city of New York and its beautiful girls and florid pitchmen. The complex arrangements favor a whimsical diversity best experienced in Sleep the Clock Around, which features synthesizer bloops, trumpets, and bagpipes! If you haven't figured out that this Scottish eight-piece deserves every iota of hype it's receiving, it's time to have your ears checked and your record collection gone over by a certified professional. --Lois Maffeo1. ThreadbarePort O'Brien began as the bedroom recording project of Van Pierszalowski and Cambria Goodwin. As the songs grew legs and spread among friends, live performances became inevitable. Sprouting from the isolated coastal village of Cambria, CA, the band collected kindred spirits along the way and blossomed into a full band. The band released All We Could Do Was Sing in the summer of 2008 which captured the life Van and Cambria lived throughout their never-ending summers in Alaska. Van is a commercial fisherman, spending every summer on his father's fishing boat off the coast of Kodiak Island. Cambria is the head baker at the cannery in Larson Bay, supplying pastries, breads, and deserts for the entire seasonal fishing community. They're seasonal lives changed with the release of their first album however and their inspirations shifted from the desolation of Alaska to the experience of seeing the world.
As 2009 began, the band started to prepare songs for what was to become Threadbare. What started as a light-hearted and loose effort quickly turned into a dense, introspective work following the tragic loss of Cambria's younger brother. Recording in friend Jason Quever's living room studio in San Francisco, the songs were given a certain warmth and intimacy that couldn't be achieved in a larger space. The sense of comfort they found gave them the ability to fully realize the weight of the songs. In the Meantime explores the desire for contentment in tumultuous times. High Without Hope bookends the album, illuminating the emotion and sense of loss that was felt throughout the recording process.

The Fantastic Expedition of Dillard and ClarkIn 1965 Missouri-born Gene Clark was riding the crest of unprecedented success and adulation as a member of the Byrds. Anointed as America's answer to the Beatles, the Byrds topped the charts with folk-rock anthems like Mr. Tambourine Man, Turn! Turn! Turn! and Eight Miles High. Gene was front and center as tambourine player, singer and principal songwriter for the group. But in early 1966 he flew the Byrds' coop. A gifted songwriter, expectations ran high for a stellar solo career, but those hopes were dashed when his debut solo album and single both failed to chart. Dropped by Columbia Records the following year, Gene's career remained in limbo until teaming up with banjo player extraordinaire Doug Dillard.
What emerged from a series of informal jam sessions in and around Laurel Canyon was a loose-knit group of pickers seeking to break bluegrass music out of its traditional confines and redefine it in a contemporary country-rock context. The Fantastic Expedition of Dillard & Clark is a groundbreaking album that helped define country-rock and set the template not only for that genre but the entire alt-country, Americana and Roots Rock movements of the '90s. Together with future Eagle Bernie Leadon, who co-wrote Train Leaves Here This Morning, with Gene (featured both on the Fantastic Expedition album and later on the Eagels' debut release), the Dillard & Clark merger represents a high-water mark in Gene Clark's impressive anon of recordings and one of the most satisfying periods in his often troubled career.
The Fantastic Expedition of Dillard & Clark ranks among a handful of seminal 1960s country-rock experiments. I think we made our mark in country rock, muses Doug Dillard. We didn't make the charts but we sure influenced a lot of people. To insure that their influence carries on, Sundazed proudly presents this newly mastered edition, sourced from the original A&M analog tapes, available on resonant high-definition vinyl packaged in a vibrant recreation of the original cover artwork.1. FarFar is the highly anticipated follow-up to Regina Spektor's gold album Begin to Hope. Far continues to reveal new layers in Spektor's songwriting as she pursues the next level in her inimitable musical style. With her uninhibited imagination and her hands-on approach in the studio, Far not only succeeds with 13 impressive and accessible tracks, but it spotlights Spektor's remarkable gift to craft intelligent and refreshingly honest odes to life. Four exceptional producers collaborated with Spektor on Far: Jeff Lynne (ELO, The Traveling Wilburys), Mike Elizondo (Dr. Dre, Eminem), David Kahne (Paul McCartney, The Strokes) and Garret Jacknife Lee (Weezer, R.E.M.).
Spektor's ability to explore rich soundscapes and combine them with her evocative and intricately structured melodies and lyrics has grown tremendously on Far. From the gripping lyrics of the first single, Laughing With to the intoxicating beat of The Calculation, from the multi-layered vocal work on Blue Lips to the rocking Eet, Far is the work of a talented, daring and important artist.
Captivating audiences with songs that are distinctively her own, Begin to Hope allowed Spektor to go from hypnotizing small crowds to selling out 3,000 capacity venues worldwide with what Rolling Stone praised as one of the most intensely joyful rock shows we've seen. Panda Bear Meets The Grim ReaperDomino is pleased to announce the release of Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper, the
fifth studio album from Animal Collective founding member and critically acclaimed solo artist Noah
Noah Lennox, a.k.a. Panda Bear, has had a far-from-quiet few years with the release of his fourth solo
record, 2011's Tomboy. Since the breakout success of 2007's universally-adored Person Pitch, each new
Panda Bear release is a highly anticipated event, and a high-profile Daft Punk collaboration later ("Doin'
It Right," from 2013's Random Access Memories), that's more the case than ever.
Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper finds our hero leaving the airy minimalism of Tomboy and unpacking
his sonic toolbox again, rearranging the multitude of his disparate influences into the ever-morphing
concoction he refers to as "the soup." Old school hip-hop textures and production techniques meld with
the intuitive, cyclical melodies he has become known for a sound that is at once dense and playful.
The album signifies a pivotal point for an artist who has proven he can continue to evolve while
remaining at the top of his game. As Noah says, "It's sort of marking change - not necessarily an
absolute death, but the ending of something, and hopefully the beginning of something else."1. Sequential Circuits

Black Beauty, the never-before-released masterpiece by Arthur Lee's legendary psychedelic rock band Love, is available on 180-gram vinyl LP. Recorded in 1973 for the ambitious new label Buffalo Records,
the album remained unreleased when the company folded. Finally, after 39 years High Moon Records is honored to fulfill Arthur Lee's wish that Black Beauty be heard by music fans worldwide. Black Beauty is making its first-ever official release
in any format, anywhere! With unparalelled sound and state-of-the-art packaging, critics are hailing Black Beauty as an instant classic. Black Beauty is that rarest of rock artifacts: an unreleased,
full-length studio album, from an undisputed musical
genius. Black Beauty is the missing link in a catalog that includes Forever Changes, the classic 1967 Love album the New York Times called "one of the most affecting and beguiling albums of all time. With Black Beauty, Arthur Lee manages to combine searing 70's-rock with gorgeous melodies and stellar songwriting - topped off by his most distinctive, snarling, soulful vocals ever. With its wonderfully eclectic collection of songs, the
album offers Love fans a rare glimpse into a previously undocumented phase of Arthur Lee's fabled career, while shining a light for new fans to discover the unique genius that is the music of Arthur Lee and Love.
It's tempting to play what-if with Love's lost labor, Black Beauty, which was recorded in 1973 but shelved for nearly four decades. What if Buffalo Records hadn't gone out of business just prior to the album's release? What if Black Beauty had actually hit stores? What if it hadn't languished in limbo until years after Arthur Lee's death? Would it have stopped Love's slide into obscurity? Would it have signaled a comeback for the man who masterminded Forever Changes, still one of the most complex and compelling artifacts of 1960s Los Angeles? Would his life and career have played out any differently? Would we think of him today as something other than a cult artist, inspired as well as damned by his era?
It's difficult to imagine any answers to those questions, but it says a lot about Lee that the album even raises these what-ifs and coulda-beens. The very qualities that made him such a fascinating voice-- restlessness, excitability, paranoia, perfectionism, single-mindedness-- may have doomed any commercial prospects more than his notorious fear of travel ever did. After recording Forever Changes, he fired the band and hired new musicians to take their places. Every subsequent album featured a different line-up, although the changes seem based more on personality than on musical direction or ability. Never stagnant, Love was in constant flux, always in a state of development but never quite arriving. So the operative question becomes: Was this the version of Love that Lee had been working toward?
For Black Beauty-- which is finally seeing release via High Moon Records, although the reissue has been delayed for two years-- Lee assembled guitarist Melvan Whittington, bass player Robert Rozelle, and drummer Joe Blocker. This may be the hardiest and most muscular of Love's post-Changes rosters, with remarkable force and range. With crisp production by Paul Rothchild, best known for his work with the Doors, Love build from a potent blues rock foundation not dissimilar to that of Jimi Hendrix, but without the distracting shamanistic persona and guitar pyrotechnics. "Walk Right In" struts into country rock territory, rewriting Cannon's Jug Stompers 1929 hit into a plea for empathy, and "Beep Beep" attempts a sort of pop reggae, albeit not entirely convincingly.
On the whole, this particular line-up sounds perfectly rough and unrehearsed, generating a tense energy on "Skid" and "Stay Away" even as they suggest a band still figuring out exactly what they can do together. It's a strong album, but it's not another Forever Changes, whose accomplishments in retrospect were unrepeatable, or even another Four Sail. On the other hand, Lee wasn't aiming to craft something in that vein. Still, especially considering the professional setbacks he had faced in the years leading up to Black Beauty-- which includes being dropped by Elektra and shuffling through a series of independent labels-- Lee sounds engaged and invigorated, forgoing the bitterness that had rankled the band for a slightly more hopeful outlook. On stand-out "Can't Find It", he sings, "Every time I cry my heart out, and every time I play the fool, but there's gotta be something in this lonely world for me." The confession is all the more bittersweet for being capped with the line, "but I can't find it without you." It's ostensibly a love song, but could just as easily be addressed to his audience. His creative satisfaction relies on having a listener to complete the circuit, which makes this album's long shelf life all the sadder.

New MultitudesNew Multitudes is an intimate interpretation of American icon and musical legend Woody Guthries previously unrecorded lyrics from a dream team of Americana torchbearers: Jay Farrar (Son Volt), Will Johnson (Centro-matic), Anders Parker (Varnaline) and Jim James (My Morning Jacket). What makes this album such a rarity in todays music world is the allowance of the songs infectious simplicity to stand alone in all their glory. In doing so, Farrar, Johnson, Parker and James, pay the greatest compliment to Woody Guthrie and the collaborative spirit he so greatly embodied. This is an album which seamlessly converges the sepia-toned essence of the time honored past with the risks needed to forge the future.
Under the invitation of Nora Guthrie, Woody's daughter, to tour the Guthrie archives, each of the four songwriters were offered the chance to plumb and mine the plethora of notebooks, scratch pads, napkins, etc. for anything that might inspire them to lend their voices and give the words new life.
These guys worked on an amazing group of lyrics says Nora. Much of it was culled from Woody's times in L.A. Lyric wise, it's a part of the story that is still mostly unknown. From Woody's experiences on L.A.'s skid row to his later years in Topanga Canyon, they are uniquely intimate, and relate two distinctly emotional periods in his life.
Musically, it is the sense of collaboration that makes New Multitudes not just another trite and traditional acoustic regurgitation of back porch blues. From the ragged jangle of its opening track, Hoping Machine, the loping lilt of Fly High, the floorboard stomp of No Fear, to the lush warmth and sudden sonic gut punch of My Revolutionary Mind, the cohorts deliver a lesson in discovering a song's sweet spot time and time again. It's the function and preparedness of each artist's dogged work ethic gleaned the old-fashion way; veracious songs, road weary odometers and sweat stained live shows, all attributes of the man they are honoring.1. Resignation DayDue to the increased recognition garnered from their second full-length, Collapser, Minneapolis quartet Banner Pilot decided it was high time to revisit their first full-length, Resignation Day. The time and budget constraints had left an indelible mark on the initial release so the band decided to remix and remaster the album in hopes of capturing the sound they had originally envisioned. REDD-MET-9317xSix Feet Under
Torment (Awaiting Repress)Six Feet Under return with their 12th studio album and a leap in intensity. There's plenty of classic Six Feet Under groove to be had on Torment, but fans will note a much more aggressive approach, and even more modern blast beats throughout. This is a cantankerous Six Feet Under with absolutely nothing to prove. This is Six Feet Under at its most deadly.
Torment was brought to life by Chris Barnes with bassist/guitarist Jeff Hughell (Brain Drill) shouldering the load of writing the music, along with heralded drummer Marco Pitruzzella (Brain Drill, Anomalous, Sleep Terror). The combination of Barnes' multi-decade death metal experience and the speed and precision of Hughell and Pitruzzella's relative youth go a long way to cementing this as a solid foundation for high-level death metal. This is immediately apparent in the first track "Sacrificial Kill" and expanded further right away in the second track "Exploratory Homicide". Both Hughell and Pitruzzella are allowed to play their style of metal with a unique Six Feet Under flair. That's what makes "Torment" a unique and welcome addition to the band's stories catalog.
Chris Barnes elaborates on Torment: "I've been lucky to have a lot of standout albums in my career. That's only because I've had a great many talented writing partners and musicians to collaborate with. Our new album, Torment, to me, is one of those albums. Jeff Hughell has provided the flammable material for me to write some explosive lyrics and vocal parts to. I know people always say, "this is my best album ever", and I won't say that, because everyone has their own favorites, but I do enjoy creating new music, and I feel as though with this one we expressed concisely and to the fullest the duality of our music.
"I have also found it important over the years, going back to the start of my career, that the artwork for our albums gets to express, on some level, what the experience is within. To do that this time around we were able to incorporate an amazing new artist, Septian Devenum, to take on the task of visually bringing this album to life. Every song on the album is depicted with a piece of artwork that explores the lyrical content of each song, similar to what we did for the packaging for our album Bringer of Blood. Torment has been a great album to work on and help create, we hope all of our fans appreciate it."1. Sacrificial Kill

Make Out With ViolenceMake Out With Violence is a genre-bending tale of a boy trying to fulfill his unrequited love for a girl who has risen from the dead. Set against the backdrop of a summer of cicadas and swimming pools, the film blends elements of up-beat teenage melodrama with the strange gravity of classic coming of age stories. It tells the story of twin brothers Patrick and Carol Darling, newly graduated from high school and struggling to come to terms with the unexplained disappearance of their friend, the bright and beautiful Wendy Hearst. When a drive through the countryside surrounding their suburban community leads to the discovery of Wendys mysteriously animated corpse, the boys secretly transport the undead Wendy to an empty house in hopes of somehow bringing her back to life. As the sweltering summer pushes on, they must maintain the appearance of normalcy for their friends and family as they search for ways to revive the Wendy they once knew, or, failing that, to satisfy their own quests for love amongst the living and the dead. Features an award winning original pop soundtrack by The Non-Commissioned Officers.1. Flour

Not many 17-year-olds could say that they are already living
out their dreams, but for The Starting Line's singer/bass
player, Ken Vasoli, life is one big dream. After signing to
Drive-Thru at the tender age of 16, Ken took night and
summer classes so that he could graduate from High School a
year early. What was supposed to be his senior year of school
turned into every kid's fantasy: ayear of touring, traveling the
country, meeting new people, making new friends, and flying
to the U.K. for the first time to play with label mates and new found friends New Found Glory.
The Starting Line's first release in July 2001 was the 5-song EP With Hopes of Starting
Over, which proved to be more rewarding than the band could
have ever imagined.Twenty-five thousand copies later,TSL is
selling out 300-800 capacity venues across the country on
their first-ever headlining tour.Say It Like You MeanIt, TSL's
debut full-length showcases a more mature style of song writing well beyond their years, without compromising the sense of
untainted youth and freshness. The charm of this band is over-
flowing in the story-style lyrics, the urgency and the sincerity.
The buzz is strong, and is only getting bigger.LP 1

Wind River SoundtrackLakeshore Records is set to release WIND RIVER - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack on vinyl. The album features the original score by Nick Cave & Warren Ellis (HELL OR HIGH WATER, LAWLESS).
WIND RIVER is a chilling thriller that follows a rookie FBI agent (Elizabeth Olsen) who teams up with a local game tracker with deep community ties and a haunted past (Jeremy Renner) to investigate the murder of a local girl on a remote Native American Reservation in the hopes of solving her mysterious death. Written and directed by Taylor Sheridan, WIND RIVER also stars Gil Birmingham, Jon Bernthal, Julia Jones, Kelsey Asbille, and James Jordan.
The soundtrack to the beautiful Wind River was first and foremost the incessant wind or the grieving silence of the snow, said the composers, Nick Cave & Warren Ellis. Amid those elemental forces we made a kind of ghost score where voices whisper and choirs rise up and die away and electronics throb and pulse.
They added, It was a huge pleasure to work with Taylor Sheridan as he seemed to have a unique understanding of the power of music, that it could become the second-voice in the film.

Keepers Of The FaithImport
TERROR earned quite a reputation since forming at the turn of the millennium. Their melding of no-frills, breakneck hardcore and the fervor of new generation metal bridges the gap between young and old, and it makes for one hell of a pit no matter what city or stage the band leaves in ruins. Vogel has been a key figure in the scenes survival, having given up a normal home life to slug it out on the road despite broken limbs, slipped discs and everything else that comes with hosting a TERROR show. TERROR is so much more than five individuals making music. They are an energy, a force, a refuge and a voice for all the lost and unheard. This is an attempt to put to words that force expressing the bands dreams, visions and hopes through the underground music medium of hardcore. This is the story of TERROR, the now legendary team of vets tirelessly sharing their ambitions live on stage over 300 times a year since their start in 2003. The band has no boundaries when playing a show. Performing a festival to thousands one day and following it up with a show in a squat the other is not an uncommon occurrence for this group. They simply want to perform for whoever is willing to listen. TERROR is welcoming to all crowds and groups, sharing the stage with such a diverse list of bands ranging from HATEBREED to STRUNG OUT, BEHEMOTH to THE BOUNCING SOULS and LAMB OF GOD to TRAPPED UNDER ICE. If someone wants to book it and the schedule is willing, they are there to inspire. So prepare for the release; the latest communique to the troops; everyone on high alert for the imminent distribution of hardcore reality. Long Live The AngelsLong Live The Angels is a mesmerizing journey through the triumphs and tragedies of the last four years of Emeli SandÉ's extraordinary life. Exultant in its delivery and bold in its intent, the record is steeped in an unreserved sense of freedom and self-discovery. It will be released on November 11 via Universal Music Canada, the country's leading music company.
It's from that feeling of freedom that new single "Hurts" was born, an uplifting track brimming with heart and soul. "This entire album is about me not holding back and not censoring myself, and 'Hurts' is an explosion, it's just real talk," explains SandÉ. A lot has happened to SandÉ in the four years since the resounding success of her critically acclaimed number one record, Our Version Of Events. Not only was it the biggest selling album of 2012 and second biggest selling album of 2013 in the UK, but it was also certified 7x platinum, spent seven non-consecutive weeks at No.1 and exceeded The Beatles' previous record by spending 63 consecutive weeks in the top 10 and selling over 4.6 million copies worldwide.
The multi-instrumentalist initially made her mark as a songwriter in the UK urban scene via acts such as Wiley, Wretch 32 and Chip, later becoming a highly sought-after writer for a wide array of international acts including Alicia Keys, Rihanna, and Katy Perry. As 2013 came to a close, SandÉ was exhausted and unable to ignore the strain it was putting on a number of close relationships, "Sounds a bit dramatic but I just wanted to disappear. I just had this overwhelming sensation and realization everything had to stop," she reflects, "And then slowly it did."
Recorded in New York, L.A, London, and Oxford, Long Live the Angels crackles with energy and a sense of euphoria for both listener and artist. Certain tracks may be slower in spirit, but are dynamic in delivery, "I made sure the production wasn't overworked," Emeli points out, "And I really went for it vocally!" SandÉ's outstanding voice sits at the heart of the record, underscoring the singer's mastery of both technique and form but also her natural intuition as a vocalist. Opening track "Selah", a short poem backed by a choral choir sets the tone, written solely by SandÉ during a time of reflection; it's a powerful and poignant introduction to the album.
Next up is the sensational "Breathing Underwater", which SandÉ describes as "the ultimate journey in rebirth and self-discovery." The super stripped back "Give Me Something" is a wondrous take on keeping the faith despite the odds being stacked against you, and the beautifully melodic Shakes is a piano and strings-led masterpiece. "Garden" harks back to SandÉ's urban roots, written and produced in London with Jay Electronica, who also features on the track. It's a reminder that Emeli's influences are as much R&B and rap as they are singer/songwriter. "Lonely" is a long hard look at love and has the feel of a track made on a summery late sixties afternoon. "Sweet Architect" (Johnny Coffer and Mojam) is the show-stopping centerpiece punctuated by the most remarkable choir.
Towards the close of Long Live the Angels, we witness a jubilant SandÉ experiencing the hopes of new possibilities; "Every Single Little Piece" is a stirring mid-tempo ballad, with a huge chorus and soul-stirring strings and the uplifting "Highs & Lows" is a dedication to her family, her history and her heritage.
Long Live The Angels marks a brand new chapter in SandÉ's life, "I'm proud of my first album and thankful for the experiences it gave me. But I'm so much happier with my new album and with where I am in life."LP 1
