Singer/songwriter and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Graham Nash first rose to fame with British Invasion hit-makers The Hollies. Throughout it all, Nash has also pursued an acclaimed solo career, beginning with the 1971 gem Songs For Beginners. Guest performers on the eleven-song set include Rita Coolidge, David Crosby, Jerry Garcia, Bobby Keys, Phil Lesh, David Lindley and Dave Mason among others. Features the classic tracks Military Madness, Simple Man, I Used To Be King and We Can Change The World.

    Here I Go Again

Released in America in 1964 by Imperial Records, Here I Go Again was the Hollies U.S. debut, and is rated by many fans as superior to its British counterpart, Stay with the Hollies. Here I Go Again offers an accurate representation of the Hollies early repertoire, comprised largely of distinctive covers of American R&B and rock n roll classics. In addition to the ultra-catchy title tune and their hit covers of Maurice Williams Stay and Doris Troys Just One Look, the album finds the Hollies applying their trademark style to such iconic numbers as Chuck Berrys Memphis, Little Richards Lucille and Arthur Alexanders You Better Move On.

Of all the English bands who achieved international success during the first wave of the British Invasion, none combined youthful rock n roll energy with musical sophistication more compellingly than the Hollies. The Manchester quintet effortlessly combined the effervescent, Everly Brothers-inspired vocal harmonies of Allan Clarke, Graham Nash and Tony Hicks with a muscular rhythm section driven by the brilliant drummer Bobby Elliott, creating one of their eras most beloved and enduring musical catalogs.

As was standard practice with British acts at the time, the Hollies early albums reached American shores in very different form than the versions that were released overseas, with alternate track listings and different cover art than their U.K. and European counterparts. Although these unique variants are the form in which millions of American fans first experienced these historic albums, they have been out of print for decades, and have long been obtainable only at inflated collectors prices.

    Crosby, Stills and Nash

Ranked 259/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

One of the most enduring musical partnerships of our time, Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Crosby, Stills & Nash (CSN) are revered for their peerless vocal harmonies, inspired songwriting and musical virtuosity. When the trio first sang together at a friends Laurel Canyon house in 1968, their uncanny harmonic convergence was immediately apparent, and CSN took shape. Each member came to the new venture from other high-profile bands, Crosby from the Byrds, Stills from Buffalo Springfield and Nash from the Hollies, and together they formed that rarest of musical entities, a supergroup that lived up to its billing.

CSNs stunning 1969 self-titled debut album is one of the true masterpieces of the rock n roll canon. The album made it all the way to #6 on the Billboard charts and delivered two Top 40 Pop singles with Marrakesh Express and Suite: Judy Blue Eyes. Also features the CSN classics Guinnevere, Wooden Ships, Helplessly Hoping and Long Time Gone.

Crosby, Stills & Nash are a most important part of the brilliant history at Atlantic Records. The uniqueness of their vocal blend, as well as the uniqueness of each solo voice, made them the top vocal group in the world, and they are still today thrilling millions of fans they have accumulated over the years. Pioneer Of Rock 'n' Roll In His Solo Album Debut!

200-Gram Vinyl Pressed At Quality Record Pressings

All-Analog Mastering By Kevin Gray At Cohearant Audio

Deluxe Tip-On Gatefold Jacket From Stoughton Printing

Rock 'n' roll legend Buddy Holly produced some of
the most distinctive and influential music of his era.
Three months after the release of The Chirping Crickets
came this self-titled 1958 classic, Buddy's last album
released prior to the plane crash in Iowa that struck
him down in 1959 at age 22.

What has Analogue Productions done to kick this classic
album up a notch? For starters, our version features
stellar remastering by Kevin Gray at Cohearent
Audio. Followed by state-of-the-art plating and pressing
on 200-gram heavyweight vinyl at Quality Record
Pressings, maker of the world's finest-sounding LPs.
    Stoughton Printing provides a sturdy old-style tip-on
gatefold jacket with added photos to round out the
    package.

Born on Sept. 7, 1936 in Lubbock, Texas, Buddy Holly
was well-versed in several music styles and was a
    seasoned performer by age 16.

When Buddy Holly & The Crickets broke through
nationally in 1957, they were marketed by Decca Records
as two different acts whose records were released
on two different Decca subsidiaries - Brunswick
for Crickets records, Coral for Holly records. But
there was no real musical distinction between the two,
except perhaps that the "Crickets" sides had more
    prominent backup vocals.

This reissue marks the debut album credited to Buddy
Holly. It features Holly's Top Ten single "Peggy Sue"
plus several songs that have turned out to be standards:
"I'm Gonna Love You Too," "Listen to Me," "Everyday,"
"Words of Love," and "Rave On."

    Hear! Here!

Hear! Here!, the Hollies second American album, was issued stateside in 1965 by Imperial Records. Its a reworkedand, for many listeners, improvedvariation on the original British LP known simply as Hollies, with the U.S. version adding the hits Look Through Any Window (the Hollies first American Top 40 single) and Im Alive. Hear! Here! finds the band members original compositions beginning to dominate the Hollies repertoire, with their songwriting skills shining on such standout tracks as Put Yourself in My Place, So Lonely and Ive Been Wrong. Elsewhere on the album, the groups interpretive skills shine through on Curtis Mayfields You Must Believe Me, Roy Orbisons Down the Line and Lloyd Prices Lawdy Miss Clawdy.

Of all the English bands who achieved international success during the first wave of the British Invasion, none combined youthful rock n roll energy with musical sophistication more compellingly than the Hollies. Bus Stop

No rest for the Hollies in 1966! Hot on the heels of Beat Group!, Bus Stop rolled into U.S. record shops, right on schedule. Written by Gouldman, the title track became the bands first Top Ten U.S. single, peaking at #5, and featuring their bell-tone harmonies to perfection. In addition to the sparkling single, the album is packed with their renditions of contemporary hits like Simon and Garfunkel's I Am A Rock, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles' Mickey's Monkey' and the Fred Neil/Roy Orbison chestnut Candy Man. Self-penned songs We're Through, Don't Run and Hide and You Know He Did also shine brightly and prove there was no danger of covering up the band members writing skills. With this disc, the Hollies put the rock world on notice that they were the British Invasions most beat-filled battalion!

Out of print for decades, this classic album is FINALLY available again. Sourced from the aurally awesome original U.K. mono master, this LP is pressed on pristine 180-gram vinyl per your turntables request. Get in the queue!

Perhaps the most undervalued band of the original British Invasion, The Hollies hits are well known in the U.S. but their early albums are almost impossible to find! Taking their name from Buddy Holly and modeling their harmonies on the Everly Brothers, the Hollies gathered these American musical ingredients and whipped them into a wholly-UKnique concoction. Forging their sound to the east of their Liverpool brothers-in-beat, this Manchester quintet had it all: the soaring vocals of Allan Clarke, Graham Nash and Tony Hicks; Hicks cascading, arpeggio-laden licks on guitar and a hard-hitting rhythm section driven by drummer extraordinaire Bobby Elliot. On top of that, their keen ears for top quality songs, written by the premier songsmiths of the day like teenage wunderkind Graham Gouldman, Chip Wild Thing Taylor and the stellar in-house writing team of Clarke/Hicks/Nash, ensured that their albums were extraordinary from start to finish. In short, they were a band that exuded greatness on all fronts. Now, as that greatness has been acknowledged by their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Sundazed Music is proud to present meticulously restored vinyl editions of the rare U.S. mono versions of the Hollies third and fourth Imperial label albums, from 1966.

    Weezer (Blue Album)

Weezer, with its simple blue cover featuring a group band shot, was not like anything most kids in 1994 had heard before. The album took its nerdy cues from strange places like the 1950s, comic books, Dungeons & Dragons, the Bible and producer Ric Ocasek, pop auteur of The Cars.

Initially released without a single or much notice, the album's sales started slow but eventually reached triple platinum status, spending 78 weeks on the chart and peaking at No. 16 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. It has sold 3.7 million copies in the U.S alone. Local radio play for 'Undone The Sweater Song' prompted an official release and video directed by then rising star Spike Jonze. The video featured the band performing on a soundstage, joined by a wandering pack of dogs. Their next Jonze-directed innovative video for 'Buddy Holly' helped spike the band s popularity and won four MTV video awards. The song rose to No. 2 on Billboard s US Modern Rock chart, one of three top 10 hits for Weezer.

The album's esteem has only continued to rise in the decades since its release and its impact has been magnified. Rolling Stone placed the Blue album in both its lists of top 500 albums (No. 297) and top 100 debut albums, where it was No. 35: When it came out, Weezer's debut was merely a cool, quirky power-pop album with a couple of hit singles: 'Buddy Holly' and 'Undone (The Sweater Song).' But Rivers Cuomo's band became a major influence to the young sad-sack punkers who today claim Weezer as one of emo's pioneers. Mixing winking deadpan delivery with serious hooks, guarded sensitivity and a deep disinterest in alt-rock's then-roiling culture wars, they came up with a record that's aged much better than a lot of the serious indie-rock of the time.

    Evolution (Mono & Stereo)

Double LP Package Includes Both Mono & Stereo Versions

For many Hollies enthusiasts, Evolution (1967) is considered the band's most accessible blend of pop and psychedelia. The quintet were headed into musical territories beyond simply moon-June-bloom and boy-meets-girl lyrics coupled with the tightly constructed vocal harmonies that had become their calling card. Nowhere is this more evident than in the tripped-out cover art from Dutch multimedia artists Seemon Kooer, Marijke Kooer, Josje Leeger, and Barry Finch -- known collectively as Fool. Although Carrie-Anne could be considered an extension of the trite, somewhat predictable Brit pop, there are clear indications of new horizons on cuts such as the modish You Need Love, the arguably passÉ distorted electric guitar on Have You Ever Loved Somebody, and the wailing fretwork on the driving freakbeat rocker Then the Heartaches Begin. Graham Nash (guitar/vocals), Allan Clarke (guitar/vocals), Tony Hicks (guitar/banjo/dulcimer/vocals), Bobby Elliott (drums), and new recruit Bernie Calvert (bass/vocals) -- who replaced original member Eric Haydock in the spring of 1966 -- were also taking different approaches in their writing and arranging, as heard on the trippy Headed for a Fall. On this tune, most prominent is the unusual six-eight time signature, coupled with Hicks' inversion of the unmistakable banjo, which is similar to the sound he conjured up on the hit Stop, Stop, Stop. However, somewhat more atypical of the Nash-era band are the light and limber acoustic and uptempo Stop Right There, or the baroque Ye Olde Toffee Shoppe.

Originally released in the U.S. in 1966, Beat Group! was the American cousin to the Hollies' British LP Would You Believe?. However, identical cousins they were not: Beat Group! boasts substantially altered musical content and completely different cover art. Led by the snap-jangle-pop of the smash single, I Cant Let Go, the album is a thrilling combination of originals and R&B covers ripped from their riotous live sets. Highlights include commanding versions of Buddy Holly's Take Your Time, Sam and Dave's I Take What I Want and the Otis Redding/O.V. Wright classic That's How Strong My Love Is. Buddy Holly Collected

    Import

Buddy Holly was one of the greatest, most inventive artists in the first wave of Rock & Roll, which The Buddy Holly Collection certainly illustrates. The selection shows his wild-man Rockabilly ways as well as his sensitive songwriting.

Although his success lasted only a year and a half before his death in an airplane crash, Holly is described by critic Bruce Eder as the single most influential creative force in early rock and roll. The Buddy Holly Collection stands as the most comprehensive and greatest retrospective of the legendary artist.

Though it contains all the big hits, this is not the place to turn if you're only looking for That'll Be the Day, Not Fade Away, and Peggy Sue. This collection encompasses much more, delving deeper into Holly's body of work. An absolutely necessity for anybody who loves American music of the 20th century.

His works and innovations inspired and influenced contemporary and later musicians, notably the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, and Elvis Costello, and exerted a profound influence on popular music.

    Lost Recordings And Beat Rarities

    7 Vinyl Box Set w/ 20 Lost Tracks & Hard-To-Find Gems!

This highly resonant set acts as a guidebook to many of the missing links behind the one British beat group who, more than any other, stayed neck-and-neck with the Beatles throughout the 60s. In terms of quality single releases with irresistible chart appeal (15 Top Ten 45s in the U.K.) and pure musical evolution, there is no doubt the Hollies breathed the same rarefied air as the Fab Four.

The Hollies Lost Recordings and Beat Rarities collects 20 long-buried tracks and hard-to-find gems, ranging from rare U.S. and British singles to EP rarities and unissued songs, all perfectly ripe for release as an original Hollies 45, whether that happened or not. Follow the group from their first single (released in May of 1963), the savage Aint That Just Like Me b/w Hey Whats Wrong With Me, through their discotheque dance floor raves: Come On Back, What Kind of Love and She Said Yeah. Swoon to their swingin ballad Yes I Will, groove with their jazzy Honey and Wine and float to outer space with All The World is Love. Discover an impossible-to-find, spy-style double-sider the Hollies did for a 1967 Italian movie, and groove to unreleased tracks cut while on tour in New York City in 1965, then marvel at an extremely scarce cover of the Beatles If I Needed Someone, tracked at Abbey Road, revered recording home to both groups.

Sundazed has collected a pirates ransom of tracks here, nearly all unavailable on any original English or American Hollies album. Delivered now via the supremely cool format of 45RPM vinyl, each single is loaded with guaranteed disk jockey dance-floor magic that only further cements the Hollies reputation as the coolest Manchester band, ever!

Ranked 420/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time

Country, Rockabilly And R&B Fused Into Epochal Rock 'n' Roll

Remastered By Kevin Gray At Cohearent Audio From The Original Analog Master Tapes

Plating And 200-Gram Vinyl Pressing By Quality Record Pressings

Old-style Tip-on Gatefold Jacket From Stoughton Printing

One of rock's greatest albums, this is the debut album by the Crickets and the only one featuring Buddy Holly released during his lifetime. The Chirping Crickets contains the group's number one single That'll Be the Day and its Top Ten hit Oh, Boy!. Other Crickets classics include Not Fade Away, Maybe Baby, and I'm Looking for Someone to Love.

These are among the best rock 'n' roll songs of the 1950s or ever, making this one of the most significant album debuts in rock 'n' roll history - ranking with Elvis Presley and Meet the Beatles, writes AllMusic.

What has Analogue Productions done to kick this classic album up a notch? For starters, our version features stellar remastering by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio. Followed by state-of-the-art plating and pressing on 200-gram heavyweight vinyl at Quality Record Pressings, maker of the world's finest-sounding LPs. Stoughton Printing provides a sturdy old-style tip-on jacket to round out the package.

Born Charles Hardin Holley on September 7, 1936, in Lubbock, Texas, Holly was nicknamed Buddy by his mother. She felt that his given name was too big for her little boy. Holly, the altered form of his last name, would later result from a misspelling in his first recording contract. Holly learned to play piano and fiddle at an early age, while his older brothers taught him the basics of guitar.

In early 1956, Holly and his band began recording demos and singles in Nashville under the name Buddy Holly and the Three Tunes, but the group's lineup was later revised and dubbed The Crickets. Holly wrote and recorded his breakthrough hit, That'll Be the Day, with The Crickets in 1957. The song's title and refrain are a reference to a line uttered by John Wayne in the 1956 film The Searchers. Between August 1957 and August 1958, Holly and the Crickets charted seven different Top 40 singles.

Composer and singer John Fogerty, of Creedence Clearwater Revival fame, inducted Buddy Holly into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame at the 1986 Hall of Fame induction ceremony. What Buddy Holly meant to him, Fogerty said, was destiny calling. Fogerty, 12, bought That'll Be The Day and soon began dreaming of forming his own combo, like the group of musicians - The Crickets - he saw on the album cover. And in Liverpool, England, the same thing was going on with four other guys. They named their group The Beatles, because Buddy Holly's group was called The Crickets.

We are, each of us, made up of the people we love and the people we admire, Fogerty, said. We take those reflections, and hopefully, grow.

Holly's talented life was cut short in a plane crash on Feb. 3, 1959, that also claimed the lives of Ritchie Valens and J.P. The Big Bopper Richardson. This album is a tribute to what was, and what might have been a lengthy pioneering musical career.

    Holly

Think music ain't what it used to be? Then you haven't heard Nick Waterhouse. His jumped-up take on 1950's rhythm 'n' blues is the real deal."
    - GQ

A timeless talent for spirited rock and rhythms that anyone can appreciate.
He draws from the classic sound of '50's American pop with a distinctive
voice of his own, shouting and growling with infectious vigor."
    - NPR

    Waterhouse is definitely a star."
    - LA TIMES

The music sounds like a party in full swing, each instrument playing exactly what is needed."
    - CHICAGO TRIBUNE

Between the chattering keys, bomping saxes, gorgeous guitar tones and
the bandleader's voice-which slides effortlessly from cool quaver to feral
howl - the end result is undeniable."
    - SPIN

Nick Waterhouse's art springs from a simple idea: everybody wants to be sombody else. One of his heroes, Van Morrison, got his start covering Bobby
Bland, whose own musical idol was Nat "King" Cole. In Waterhouse's view,
emulation is a journey; you never truly succeed, but as the singer, guitarist and songwriter puts it, "You become something on the way there."

Nick was born in 1986 and grew up in Huntington Beach, known predominantly for
UFC, commercial surf culture, and tanning salons. He established his musical sensibilities in the middle of the burgeoning southern California Psych-Garage scene (Burger
records, Ty Segall, McHugh's Distillery studio) while retaining his unique perspective
on the spirit of American Rhythm & Blues and Rock & Roll.

Waterhouse started performing as a teenager. "It was really motivated by fear," he
recalls. "I'm kind of an introvert, so it was an uncomfortable situation. It was a way
to force a crisis." The young artist experienced an exhilaration he'd never felt before,
and hasn't found anywhere else since. "It's a feeling of heightened awareness that goes
beyond pleasure," Waterhouse explains. "It has something to do with seeing ahead in
time and behind in time all at once. You don't just get the immediate reward; you get
the potential that rewards you the same way."

Waterhouse explored the idea of potential on his breakthrough single, "Some Place," a
beautifully lean, propulsive track recorded at all-analog studio the Distillery and self
released in 2010 on his own Pres label. "Well, there's someplace that I'd rather be,"
Waterhouse sang in a fierce yet plaintive register. "And it's something that's been on my
    mind almost constantly."

These days, Waterhouse is a successful recording artist, with one well-received LP and
and several high-profile tours and collaborations to his name. But his latest work still
embodies the struggle of his early forays. During "This Is a Game," Waterhouse sets up
a snarly, post-surf guitar solo with a succinct statement of a cynical outlook: "This is a
game / Please remember my words / And don't get upset when you don't get what you
think you deserve." And on the gothic-soul strut "Let It Come Down," he meditates on
the inevitability of pain. "If there's gonna be rain tonight," he sings in a stoic croon.
    "Let it come down."

It's clear from this material that Waterhouse is in the midst of his own becoming. He
isn't the type to let ecstasy take over, like Van Morrison, or to drawl away in a consummately laid-back register, like Mose Allison. In the tension between his wry lyrics and
crisp arrangements, you hear the expression of a worldly skeptic who's also-when it
comes to his art-a sanctified believer. Whoever it was that Nick Waterhouse wanted to
be matters less now; these days, he just sounds like himself.

    Yonkers NY

If a songwriter of some accomplishment who is also a singer predominantly known for his work in country music was looking for a subject for a deeply personal cycle of songs, it's pretty unlikely that Yonkers, New York, a small city bordering on New York City's borough of the Bronx, would be the subject.

Not, of course, unless the writer is Chip Taylor, who grew up there. With Yonkers, NY, Taylor, a veteran songwriter whose songs have been recorded by Johnny Cash, Peggy Lee, Dusty Springfield, Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra, the Hollies and, of course, the Troggs (who waxed his first big hit, Wild Thing), has gone back to his childhood and adolescence and come up with eleven songs filled with warmth and humor, enlivened with spoken reminiscences and packaged with a book of lyrics and vintage photos of the people and places that are their subjects. The songs on Yonkers, NY take us into Taylor's family life and into his discovery of music, horses and girls, opening these subjects up with a skill only a master songwriter can summon.

    John Platania - electric guitar
