    The Game

Queen had long been one of the biggest bands in the world by 1980's The Game, but this album was the first time they made a glossy, unabashed pop album, one that was designed to sound exactly like its time. They might be posed in leather jackets on the cover, but they hardly sound tough or menacing -- they rarely rock, at least not in the gonzo fashion that's long been their trademark. Gone are the bombastic orchestras of guitars and with them the charging, relentless rhythms that kept Queen grounded even at their grandest moments. Now, when they rock, they'll haul out a clever rockabilly pastiche, as they do on the tremendous Crazy Little Thing Called Love, a sly revival of old-time rock & roll that never sounds moldy, thanks in large part to Freddie Mercury's panache. But even that is an exception to the rule on The Game. Usually, when they want to rock here, they wind up sounding like Boston, as they do on John Deacon's Need Your Loving Tonight, or they sound a bit like a new wave-conscious rocker like Billy Squier, as they do on the propulsive Coming Soon. But even those are exceptions to the overall rule on The Game, since most of the album is devoted to disco-rock blends -- best heard on the globe-conquering Another One Bites the Dust, but also present in the unintentionally kitschy positivity anthem Don't Try Suicide -- and the majestic power ballads that became their calling card in the '80s, as they reworked the surging Save Me and the elegant Play the Game numerous times, often with lesser results. So, The Game winds up as a mixed bag, as many Queen albums often do, but again the striking difference with this album is that it finds Queen turning decidedly, decisively pop, and it's a grand, state-of-the-art circa 1980 pop album that still stands as one of the band's most enjoyable records. But the very fact that it does showcase a band that's turned away from rock and toward pop means that for some Queen fans, it marks the end of the road, and despite the album's charms, it's easy to see why.

    Master Of The Game

    Import

Although George Duke first made his mark as a Jazz instrumentalist, late-1970s classics like Reach For It, Don't Let Go, and Follow The Rainbow made it clear that he could also be an expressive R&B singer.

But he didn't want to handle all of the lead vocals himself; so during that period, his role was that of a producer/keyboardist/songwriter who was more than happy to share the lead vocals with Lynn Davis, Josie James, and others. Lynn Davis enjoyed a lot of exposure on R&B stations when, in 1979, Duke featured her on "I Want You for Myself", the haunting single that made Master of the Game one of his best-selling albums.

This album contains a few jazz fusion instrumentals (including the Latin-flavored "Dog-Man"), but it's an R&B release first and foremost. "I Want You for Myself" and the mellow, Stylistics-influenced "Every Little Step I Take" are gems in its own right.

    Out of the Game

Rufus Wainwright returns to the pop foray with his eagerly anticipated new Decca album, Out of the Game. Produced by the celebrated Mark Ronson, this is the seventh studio album from one of music's most accomplished, contemporary singer/songwriters.

A labor of love for both Wainwright and Ronson, Rufus calls Out of the Game, "the most pop album I've ever made," while Ronson recently stated, "it's the best work of my career." Recorded in New York in the fall of 2011, the twelve songs are hook-laden, memorably arranged tracks reminiscent of Rufus' early work, following 2010's more quietly intimate outing, Songs For Lulu.

From the uptempo opening chords of the title track and first single, to the gospel tinged rock of Jericho, through the beauty of Sometimes You Need and the emotional pull of Candles, this new release ranks alongside Rufus Wainwright's very best.

Musicians on the album include the Dap-Kings who Ronson used for the groundbreaking Amy Winehouse Back To Black album and his own Record Collection; Wilco's Nels Cline; Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs; Andrew Wyatt from Miike Snow; and Sean Lennon and Martha Wainwright.

Influences, as ever, were all encompassing. Ronson says Out of the Game, "has a real 70's, Laurel Canyon spirit" while Rufus cites "all the greats, Elton, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, basically the brash and beautiful. It's also very Rufus."

Affectionately referred to by Elton John as the greatest songwriter on the planet and praised by The New York Times for his "genuine originality," Grammy nominee Rufus Wainwright has established himself as one of the great male vocalists and songwriters of his generation. He is the son of folk singers Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle, and brother of Martha Wainwright, but Rufus has achieved his success by carving out his own singular sound in the worlds of rock, opera, theater, dance and film.

    Head Games

Head Games on Numbered Limited Edition 180 Gram LP from Mobile Fidelity

Foreigner's 1979 Effort Its Edgiest, Heaviest, Hardest-Hitting Album

Band Pairs Synthesizers With Guitars on Record to Mesmerizing Effect

Head Games, Dirty White Boy Continue Group's Hit Streak

Half-Speed Mastered from the Original Master Tapes: Roy Thomas Baker's Original Production Shines Like Never Before

The moment Head Games begins, a nastier, grittier tone is established, and it becomes apparent that Foreigner is bringing something new to the table. Namely, an edgier, leaner sound built around stronger guitars and harder rhythms. The heaviest record of the bands career, the 1979 effort functions as irrefutable proof that the quintet rocked as hard as anybody in the mainstream and did so without losing sight of the melodies that put it at the top of the charts. And with Head Games, there Foreigner would stay.

Half-speed mastered from the original master tapes, Mobile Fidelitys collectible audiophile edition of this longtime favorite classic-rock staple bursts with tremendous dynamics, soaring vocal timbres, punchy dynamics, and newfound instrumental separation. With more emphasis placed on Mick Jones guitar riffs and meatier grooves, you may just find yourself investing in a new power amp to get every last degree of detail thats been uncovered! Longtime fans will be thrilled to hear the subtle nuances now fully discernible amidst a gargantuan soundstage.

Joined by new bassist Rick Wills, and guided by Queen producer Roy Thomas Baker, Foreigner goes for broke, ratcheting up the muscularity on hard-hitting fare such as the hit single Dirty White Boy, Seventeen, and the aptly titled Rev on the Red Line. However, the group maintains its trademark equilibrium, pushing the limits on toughness yet retaining a diamond-in-the-rough smoothness that allows the bands hummable choruses and winding hooks to take hold.

Moreover, the band expands its use of synthesizers to wonderful effect. The smash title track, through which mesmerizing keyboard passages coarse, is a prime example of Foreigners slight albeit thrilling sonic evolution, the net result upping the drama, fanfare, and color. At the time, the combination was a breakthrough idea. Is it any wonder Head Games sold more than 5 million copies?

None, however, sound anywhere near as lifelike, involving, and rich as Mobile Fidelitys remaster. Part of the reason why late 70s arena rock remains beloved, and why its so fun, owes to the go-for-broke nature of the arrangements, decibel-clearing volume levels, and free license to just let loose. By digging in and revealing all the musical information the master tapes provide, Mobile Fidelitys analog 180g LP amplifies the pleasure principle by tenfold!

    Power Games

Pressed On Brown And Green Camo Vinyl

    First-Ever Vinyl Reissue

    Limited To 700 Copies

This lost 1982 NWOBHM classic foretold the emergence of speed and thrash metal with high RPM work-outs like Coldheart, No Lies, and Dutch Connection. Was it a coincidence that Metallica's Kill 'Em All came out the following year? Maybe, but one could easily suspect that Power Games was on the Metallica turntable.

Jaguar along with Bronze label-mates Raven was definitely the most balls-out outfit in the New Wave of British Heavy Metal scene, and this record, aside from one mid-tempo track (Rawdeal) is pure pedal-to-the-metal metal.

Our first-ever vinyl reissue comes in green and brown camo vinyl limited to 700 copies!

    It Follows Soundtrack

"Rich Vreeland's score deserves a mention all by itself-heavily John Carpenter-influenced, the blaring atonal drones of ascending volume are so omnipresent and willfully overblown that it's where the film's two-sided ambition is most fully realized." -THEPLAYLIST

The acclaimed score to It Follows by Disasterpeace is receiving the vinyl treatment. This release is pressed on 180 gram vinyl and features original artwork by Midnight Marauder.

Written and directed by David Robert Mitchell, It Follows has been a highly praised film on the festival circuit. The horror/thriller tells the story of 19-year old Jay who, after a seemingly innocent sexual encounter, finds herself plagued by strange visions and the inescapable sense that someone, or something, is following her. Faced with this burden, Jay and her teenage friends must find a way to escape the horrors that seem to be only a few steps behind.

Video game composer, Disasterpeace, composed the synth heavy and pulsating score. The electro, 80's influenced score is a character itself in the film and has been praised wherever the film has been screening.

    In Rock

Mastered by Joe Reagoso from the Original Warner Bros Tapes at Friday Music Studios and at Capitol Records in Hollywood, CA

1970 was truly a successful turning point year for hard rock legends Deep Purple. The band changed directions and after recording a series of well received albums in the late '60s, they returned to the studio with a new Mark II band line-up and recorded the epoch game changer Deep Purple In Rock.

This superstar act now featured the much revered line up of the original guitar hero Ritchie Blackmore, keyboard great Jon Lord, power drummer Ian Paice, and new cohorts, the superlative Roger Glover on bass and soon to be superstar vocalist Ian Gillan. Deep Purple and their masterwork Deep Purple In Rock truly paved the way for a lot of the hard rock and metal bands of today with the music contained on this legendary release.

As with their continuing expansion into the Deep Purple catalog, Friday Music announces the first time 180g Audiophile Vinyl release of the original U.S. version of Deep Purple In Rock. This mega hard rock classic comes with all of the great tunes you remember like Speed King, Child In Time, Hard Lovin Man and Living Wreck.

Like their other fine Deep Purple releases, this classic has been mastered by Joe Reagoso (Deep Purple/Yes/Alice Cooper) from the original Warner Bros. tapes at Friday Music Studios and at Capitol Records in Hollywood, CA.

As another fine feature of this limited edition release, Friday Music has also included the original gatefold LP artwork, not seen since its original Warner Bros. vinyl release in 1970.

Eazy Duz It (25th Anniversary Edition)

    Remastered 25th Anniversary Edition

Released only a month after Straight Outta Compton (1988), Eazy-Duz-It was the first N.W.A spin-off album. Years before Ice Cube went solo with Amerikkka's Most Wanted (1990), before Dr. Dre changed the rap game with The Chronic (1992), before MC Ren struggled to establish himself with Shock of the Hour (1993), and before Yella simply fell into obscurity, Eazy-E rose to immediate superstar status with this solo debut. It's no wonder why, for the album plays like a humorous, self-centered twist on Straight Outta Compton with Eazy-E, the most charismatic member of N.W.A, front and center while his associates are busy behind the scenes, producing the beats and writing the songs.

In terms of production, Dr. Dre and Yella meld together P-Funk, Def Jam-style hip-hop, and the leftover electro sounds of mid-'80s Los Angeles, creating a dense, funky, and thoroughly unique style of their own. In terms of songwriting, the D.O.C., Ice Cube, and MC Ren are each credited; plus, Ren performs raps of his own on five of the 12 songs.

The collaborative nature of the music -- with Dre and Yella producing; the D.O.C., Ice Cube, and MC Ren writing the songs; MC Ren featured as a guest on half of them; and Eazy-E performing -- fortunately makes Eazy-Duz-It more of an N.W.A effort than a true solo album. This is fortunate because as charismatic as he may be, Eazy-E isn't an especially gifted MC. He's at his best here when he's cracking wise and also when he's overshadowed by Dr. Dre's productions, particularly on the four-song sequence of Eazy Duz It, We Want Eazy, Eazy-er Said Than Dunn, and Radio -- all heavily produced songs with layers upon layers of samples and beats competing with Eazy-E's rhymes for attention.

Straight Outta Compton is no doubt the more revolutionary album, yet Eazy-Duz-It is a great companion, showcasing N.W.A's sense of humor and, despite the often violent subject matter, casting them in a lighter, more humorous mood. When Eazy-E would return with a second solo release, 5150 Home 4 tha Sick, his N.W.A associates would be M.I.A. and the difference would be stark.

    Back In Memphis

    180 Gram Translucent Gold Vinyl

Elvis Aaron Presley was born during the Great Depression into a poor family in Mississippi. They moved to Memphis during the early fifties, and as a struggling young truck driver, Elvis cut some demos as a gift for his beloved mother Gladys. The folks at RCA Victor knew that this young fellow named Elvis was destined for superstardom. They quickly signed the legend to a long-term deal, and his first RCA single Heartbreak Hotel forever etched "The King Of Rock And Roll" trademark to his name. He would eventually become the most successful solo artist of all time!

As 1970 began, Elvis returned to the studios of Memphis and would go on to record his smash album Back In Memphis. Ever proving that he was indeed on top of his game, the amazing album featured a treasure trove of his most soulful works like Inherit The Wind and Stranger In My Own Town. Back In Memphis soon went on to achieve gold and platinum status and become one of his most memorable titles in his huge arsenal of masterful albums.

Thanks to his great interpretation of Neil Diamond's And The Grass Won't Pay No Mind, his vocal prowess on the country groover From A Jack To A King and of course the soul drenched Without Love (There Is Nothing), this collection of Elvis Presley's hits were just what the fans were screaming for, and the entire album was built around the framework of his Back In Memphis trademark sound.

Beautiful! The Youngbloods Live In San Francisco 1971

    First Time Vinyl Release

    From The Original Analog Masters

Gatefold Album With Rare Photos And New Liners

By the time the Youngbloods, always crowd faves at the west coast ballrooms, performed live for San Francisco's free-form radio pioneer KSAN in 1971, they'd honed their set to a fine gloss. Featuring the smooth as apple-butter voice of Jesse Colin Young and the guitar/keyboard wizardry of Banana, backed by the rock-solid bass-and-drum tandem of Michael Kane and Joe Bauer, the Youngbloods positively sparkle here. We're elated to present for the first time on vinyl a 12-song set that's equal parts rocking R&B, dreamy jazzers and honky tonk flag-wavers, with just a little bit of psychedelic weirdness-topped off, of course, by a knockout version of their generational anthem, "Get Together." The Youngbloods: at the top of their game, making it all look so easy-and so damn beautiful. Mastered from the original analog reels and pressed on lush 180 gram vinyl.

The Documentary 2 sounds effortless and winds up awesome because of it, with singles like 100 featuring Drake and Summertime with its Mike WiLL Made It beat both coming off as cool-headed classics. 2 Steps From The Middle Ages

    Pressed On Translucent Orange Vinyl

Packaging Includes Rare And Previously Unseen Photos From The Band's Photographer, Robert Toren

The Reissue Also Features Essays From Easter, Ken Stringfellow (The Posies, Big Star), And Franklin Bruno (The Village Voice, Salon.com)

Their final studio album - remastered and expanded! Following up 1987's Lolita Nation (whose reissue appeared on numerous year-end "best of" lists for 2016) would be no easy task for Game Theory. But, Scott Miller and company were certainly up for the task.

Re-teaming with producer Mitch Easter (R.E.M., Marshall Crenshaw, Velvet Crush), 2 Steps From The Middle Ages was released in 1988 and showed the band had no shortage of energy, experimentation, and excellent material.

The first pressing of this LP reissue, on vinyl for the first time since its initial release, comes on translucent orange colored vinyl. Packaging includes rare and previously unseen photos from the band's photographer, Robert Toren, as well as essays from Easter, Ken Stringfellow (The Posies, Big Star), and Franklin Bruno (The Village Voice, Salon.com).

The band's drummer, Gil Ray, who was involved in all aspects of the Game Theory reissue series including this title, sadly passed away earlier this year. This reissue is lovingly dedicated to him.

    Audeze LCDi4 In-Ear Headphones

Have a question about this product? Please email our audio advisor or call 1-877-929-8729 with any questions or concerns regarding your equipment purchase.

Our goal when designing the LCDi4 was to make the absolute best sounding in-ear experience. We took our award winning LCD-4 design and scaled it down to create an end-game in-ear headphone that is far more portable.

Designed to give the user a truly wide and accurate soundstage, superior transient response, bass response flat from 900Hz down to 5Hz, the LCDi4s with a single driver deliver a coherency of sound lacking in multi-driver designs.

    Exclusive Planar Magnetic Technology

Utilizing the same ultra-thin diaphragm that is used in the LCD4s and all our patented technologies like the Fluxor™ magnets and Uniforce™ voice coil technology, the LCDi4 ushers in a new benchmark for realism in in-ear headphones. The distortion (THD) is less than 0.1% overall even at high volumes, an amazing achievement for in-ear headphone designs. Weighing 12 grams per side the headphones come with a new magnesium top housing and premium, braided cable made of silver-plated OCC copper with Kevlar threads for additional strength.

Engineered and Handcrafted in our California Factory

Each unit is hand-crafted at our facility in California just for you. The LCDi4s sophisticated driver design features an ultra-thin film that delivers exceptional frequency response and excellent transient behavior. The thin-film is made using a specialized vacuum deposition process that slowly builds the metal layer that is very malleable. Then each unit is individually assembled with care and matched within +/- 1dB of each other.

Great Sound Comes in Small Packages

To bring the sound of our award-winning LCD Collection to in-ear headphones, we worked closely with our strategic partner Designworks, a BMW Group Company. Every part of the LCDi4 is designed to bring our world-renowned Audeze sound to a global market in a smaller, lighter package.

Great care and attention goes into the production of every one of our LCDi4 headphones, from utilizing the finest most comfortable materials that minimize reflections, to the precision hand-craftsmanship in our California facility. The result is a headphone that looks, feels and most importantly sounds like no other. When you listen to an LCDi4, you are hearing the passion, quality and care we put into every one of our headphones.

Voices on Numbered Limited Edition 180 Gram LP from Mobile Fidelity

1980 Set First of Duo's Record-Breaking Trilogy of Smash Albums

Includes Kiss on My List, You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin', You Make My Dreams, and Everytime You Go Away

Self-Produced Album Marks Pair's Transition Towards Fusion of Sleek Pop, Melodic New Wave, and Blue-Eyed Soul

Divine Sonics: Spacious, Polished Production Shines on Mobile Fidelity Reissue, Mastered from the Original Master Tapes

Daryl Hall has inferred that if Voices failed to catch fire, it would have likely signaled the end of he and John Oates' recording career together. Suffice it to say that the 1980 effort not only caught on-it established a production and songwriting template that would help largely define the decade. The album also propelled Hall and Oates into the mainstream and turned them into superstars, placing them at the top of the charts for a multi-year run during which the duo proved superior singers, master songwriters, and visionary producers.

Mastered from the original master tapes and pressed on 180 gram LP at RTI, Mobile Fidelity's reissue at last affords this pop classic an expansive, engaging, dynamic reach absent from all prior editions. Self-produced, the record's sonics were key to its success. As evidenced by the greater information and finer details found in this analog edition's grooves, the polished, sleek, and open sound works hand-in-hand with the arrangements. Hall and Oates' knack for stylish tones, instrumental placement, and edgy accents has never been clearer-literally or figuratively. This LP is nothing short of a game-changer.

By the dawn of the 1980s, Hall and Oates had already released more than a half-dozen albums and attached themselves to a folk-pop model they gradually took in blue-eyed soul directions. Hints of a pop/new wave/R&B amalgamation initially appear on 1979's X-Static, but only fully come into play with confidence, conviction, and commercial flair on Voices. Arriving upon a near-flawless fusion of dance grooves, soft rock rhythms, smooth vocals, romantic sentiments, catchy beats, and spotless hooks, the collaborators simultaneously crossed over into multiple markets and eradicated stylistic boundaries.

Rightly recognized for its four hit singles-the irresistible "Kiss on My List," building "You Make My Dreams," cover of the Righteous Brothers' "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling," and original rendition of the poignant "Every Time You Go Away," which Paul Young took to the top of the charts years later-Voices towers as both an 80s masterpiece and all-time pop classic.

Independent of the ubiquitous fare, the record holds up courtesy of the deep-album cuts. There isn't a weak note or false move to be found. Hall and Oates paint "United State" with uptempo assertiveness; "Big Kids" passes as first-rate new-wave rock; "Diddy Doo Wop (I Hear the Voices)" pays loving tribute to the duo's doo-wop influences; "Gotta Lotta Nerve (Perfect Perfect)" oozes emotional rawness. Their stage set, Hall and Oates would further advance their craft on Private Eyes and H20, also available from Mobile Fidelity.

    Our Love

180 Gram Vinyl Cut At Half Speed

You reach a point in life where the question of how to stay at the top of your
game looms, with the only real solution being: you change the game. Our Love,
the new album from Caribou, is the sound of Dan Snaith doing just that.
Our Love is the fifth studio album from Caribou.

Our Love is formed around a mixture of digital pop production, hip
hop-inspired beats, muted house basslines, and a love of shuffling garage
that can be traced all the way back to the time of Start Breaking My Heart - all
of which are, of course, filtered through Dan's own unique perspective. The
warm analog sounds of classic soul should not be overlooked either, for they
weave themselves most intensely into the record's DNA. In fact, Our Love is
probably Caribou's most soulful record to date, with tracks like "Back Home"
whose heartfelt lyrics - dealing in tired relationships and a weary kind of love
    - and organic nature cut through the bubbling synths and blissful euphoria
of their synthetic constructions. It's not all downbeat of course; while some
thoughts linger on mortality, loss, and letting go, there is always an element of
    celebration.

    Chief

Eric Church is on a mission. You might expect someone coming off of their first two Top Ten country singles and an ACM Award for 'Top New Solo Vocalist' to lock down the formula and go for more of the same, but with third album, Chief, Church is trying something bolder and using the opportunity provided by his success to push his music even further. The lead single Homeboy is perhaps the bravest track on Chief. It is a provocative appeal from one brother to another to get back on track and make peace with his family.

I have a theory that all of us only get a small window of time to make records when people will really listen and care, he says. Its up to us to move the needle. People like Waylon and Cash or Garth and Strait, they all changed the direction of the music a little bit.

The desire to capture the intensity of his live show on record is indicated right in the title of the new album. Chief was my grandfathers nickname, and it has become my nickname on the road, Church reveals. When its show time, I put on the sunglasses and the hat, and thats how people know its game time. This album was made from a live place; we recorded it with the live show in mind, so it just seemed right to make that the title.

If there is one thing country music needs more of, its the attitude that is driving Eric Church, the approach behind every song on Chief, the fearlessness that lets an artist swing for the fences and try to leave a mark on history. There were safer choices I could have made for sure, but I just cant feel that helps anybody, he says. If you have any respect for the music, youll use each chance you get to try to be one of the ones who moves the flag.

    School Days (Awaiting Repress)

Mastered from the Original Epic Records Tapes by Joe Reagoso and Kevin Gray at RTI/AcousTech

School Days was a game changer for the legendary Stanley Clarke in many ways. Not only did it forever etch the title superstar musician to his name all over the world, it also crossed his incredible music over to a whole new level of listeners, which to this day continue to flock to this album for the solid funk, rock, jazz and fusion release that only this master jam could achieve.

After a very successful run with Chick Coreas Return To Forever, world class bassist and multi-instrumentalist Stanley Clarke branched out on his own and made some very credible solo albums. When School Days hit in late 1976, it was not uncommon to hear tracks like Hot Fun and School Days being played on all formats of radio. Whether it be urban, rock, or jazz, the School Days album was the go to album of choice for many radio stations, as its rhythms and cosmic funk/rock/jazz energy would truly enhance the listening experience to a whole new realm.

And now, Friday Music is offering the legendary Stanley Clarke School Days album on 180g Audiophile Vinyl for the very first time. Mastered impeccably from the original Epic Records tapes by Joe Reagoso and Kevin Gray at RTI/AcousTech, this stunning album is a fusion masterpiece made for the audiophile vinyl domain.

For this star studded affair, Stanley Clarke reached out to some of the greatest musicians of all time like John McLauglin, George Duke, Billy Cobham, Chick Corea, Steve Gadd, Icarus Johnson and many others. Not only do you get the wonderful songs previously mentioned, but there are even more classics like Quiet Afternoon with some very solid drumming by Steve Gadd, Desert Song featuring a stunning duet with John McLauglin on guitar, as well as the apocalyptic album closer Life Is Just A Game, which features some very powerful bass and drum fireworks between Stanley Clarke and Billy Cobham, with George Dukes amazing keyboard expertise.

Comes housed in a very rare gatefold cover featuring all of the original artwork elements, which haven't been seen in years.

    Atrocity Exhibition

He is unmatchable in flow, delivery, and voice. Danny Brown has all the tools to be the greatest working rapper. -PITCHFORK

Atrocity Exhibition is one of the freshest and boldest-sounding rap albums in recent memory, a sonic swirl inspired by the work of Talking Heads and Joy Division that nonetheless sounds like nothing else from the past or present. Featuring contributions from producers like Evian Christ, Petite Noir (who also lends vocals to the world-weary clang of "Rolling Stone"), Black Milk, the Alchemist and frequent collaborator Paul White, the album is full of laser-beam guitars, gym-teacher whistles, creaking vocal samples, and air-raid drones. It is the most intriguing take on hallucinatory rap since the heady heights of Cold Vein or Madvillainy.

Known for his wide range of collaborations, including everyone from Purity Ring, the Avalanches and Rustie to Schoolboy Q, E-40, and Ghostface Killah, Atrocity Exhibition sees a continuation of this carefully curated mix. Kelela lends her snaking vocals to the intriguingly murky "From the Ground," Cypress Hill's B-Real delivers "Get Hi"'s languid hook, and Earl Sweatshirt, Kendrick Lamar, and Ab-Soul all convene for the twinkling ominousness of album standout "Really Doe." "When XXX came out, all of us were peers, and those were the three rappers who were the best," Brown explains on having the star-packed trio appear on the track. "I felt like we were competitors, they made me want to step my game up. I wanted to put the hottest rappers in the game on there."

This album is a highly personal take on Brown's ruminations on life and the changes that have occurred -and those that didn't - following the ups and downs of career success. Atrocity Exhibition makes for a thrilling third installment in the Danny Brown biopic, one not to be missed.
