    Woman

Vinyl Comes With A Copy Of The CD

3 Full Sides Of Audio And One Side Etched

Justice's new album "Woman" is a journey that catapults you from the elastic R&B pop of "Pleasure" straight into the rush of "Alakazam!". Twirls through a dazzling bout of thumping electronic piano and clavinet sparring during "Fire"'s dancefloor peacocking, barely pausing for breath before it lands at "Stop" - a sparkling, bittersweet slice of disco pop that boasts one of the best chorus the pair have ever had on a track. "Randy" has a melody Michael McDonald would have killed a fellow Doobie Brother for (if Michael McDonald was into gut-shuddering electro that is). "Love S.O.S, meanwhile, sounds like the greatest disco anthem you've never heard.

    The High Country

180-Gram White Vinyl In Gatefold Jacket

Recorded At Chris Walla's (Death Cab For Cutie) Hall Of Justice Studio

Engineered By Beau Sorenson (Bob Mould, Camera Obscura)

A raw pop record infused with undeniable hooks, distortion pedals,
passion, grit, and maybe a little insanity, The High Country is the first
SSLYBY album to truly capture the power and energy the group
    exudes when performing live.

SSLYBY recorded The High Country as a power trio consisting of
Dickey, guitarist/vocalist Will Knauer, and bassist Tom Hembree, a
founding member of the group who left after Broom, but returned to
(as Dickey describes it) "stir things up in the best way possible and
demand we play louder and faster."

After a month spent demoing and practicing, the three musicians
convened at Seattle's legendary Hall of Justice to record with engineer
Beau Sorenson (Superchunk, Garbage). In many ways, The High
Country is the record Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin has been
building up to its entire career.

    ...And Justice For Y'all

The South will smoke again. The Bible Belt state of North Carolina, USA seems a fertile ground for hemp and stoner rock. When cult sludge act BUZZOV•EN called it a day, bass player Dave Dixie Collins teamed up with guitarist Dave Shep Shepherd and founded WEEDEATER in the harbor town of Wilmington about the year 1998. Their crushing and massive first full-length and Justice for Y'all created an immediate buzz, while critics were struggling to put a tag on their sound. Nearly everybody agreed that stoner rock, doom, sludge and some crusty elements were part of the mix, which the band simply calls weed metal. The debut was produced by renowned engineer Billy Anderson (EYEHATEGOD, NEUROSIS) as well as sophomore album Sixteen Tons (2002). WEEDEATER went out to perform live with CORROSION OF CONFORMITY and ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY among others. After some detours of Dixie Dave, who played shortly with BONGZILLA and SOURVEIN, the third album God Luck and Good Speed hit the world in 2007 and shifted the band's focus slightly towards the stoner side. The latest full-length Jason the Dragon got delayed when guitarist Shep lost a toe due to an incident with his favourite shotgun. When the sludge driven album finally came out in 2011 shows in the US and Europe cemented the band's reputation as a fierce live entity. For the next release WEEDEATER have signed up with Season of Mist, which will reissue the complete back catalogue. Remastered and presented with its original artwork, And Justice for Y'all will also be available on vinyl for the first time. Time to lean back and get high on this WEEDEATER cult classic!

    Mr. Love And Justice

In his two and a half decades carrying the torch of social justice, Billy Bragg has melded the folksy populism of Woody Guthrie with the anger and indignation of The Clash. Both are perfectly encapsulated on his Anti debut, Mr. Love & Justice. Despite the intense politics behind his songs, Billy has never lost sight of the power of personal relationships to hold us together and bring about the kind of redemption that outstrips even the greatest political movements. Musically, this record combines the loose, Stonesy groove Bragg found working with Wilco on the Mermaid Ave. sessions, with the best parts of his punk and music hall roots. On his most mature record to date, the title says it all.

West Of Memphis: Voices For Justice

The avalanche of emotions experienced after seeing the highly regarded documentary West Of Memphis quickly leads to perhaps the most primal impulse of all: "Act. Do something. Do anything." It's in this spirit that West of Memphis: Voices For Justice has been created. In every instance, the artists involved have made the decision about which song they felt reected their personal feelings about the case of the West Memphis 3. There's a connection between the music and the man remaining at its center, Damien Echols. This compilation features music from Eddie Vedder, Natalie Maines, Lucinda Williams, Patti Smith and more.

Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice Soundtrack

WaterTower Music announced the release of the soundtrack to the feature film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," a collaborative effort by film composers Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL (aka Tom Holkenborg). Available on Limited Edition 3-LP deluxe vinyl, the set features etched vinyl art and exclusive full sized poster.

"Junkie XL is an incredibly insightful film composer. It was a perfect idea for us to work together on the 'Batman v Superman' score," explained Academy-Award-winning composer Zimmer. Grammy nominee Junkie XL showed equal excitement at the pairing, saying, "Hans has an incredible legacy, and I was extremely thrilled when he approached me to work on 'Batman v Superman' with him."

The composers discussed their close working relationship with director Zack Snyder. "Zack allows us to try things we haven't tried before. He's very supportive of the eccentricities that we bring to this," says Zimmer. Junkie XL concurred. "He's very open and accepting of our ideas, and infuses the creative process with an energy that inspires you."

Hans and Tom (Junkie XL) created an incredibly compelling and interesting new musical world for Batman, while continuing to expand on the amazing world and themes Hans had previously created for Superman," noted director Zack Snyder. "By aligning their vision with my perspective and seeing the characters anew through the lens of the film they were able to support the visual aspects of movie in a way that elevates the film to another level. In so many ways, they become the final texture, the final note in the process of creating the world."

"This electrifying collaboration brings us such brilliant new character themes," commented WaterTower Music head Jason Linn, "While we've been fortunate to work several times with both composers individually, this experience has been uniquely thrilling."

This Is Lone Justice: The Vaught Tapes, 1983

First Pressing On Translucent Red Vinyl

It can be difficult to capture the live power of band on a studio recording. Thankfully, Lone Justice (Maria McKee, Ryan Hedgecock, Marvin Etzioni, and
Don Heffington) went into Suite 16 Studios in December of 1983 and laid down much of the set list they were packing Los Angeles area clubs with.

Recorded direct to 2-track tape by engineer David Vaught and with no overdubs, those twelve tracks can finally be heard in their entirety as This Is Lone
Justice: The Vaught Tapes, 1983. As Billboard's Chris Morris writes in his liner notes, the release "offers the best representation of the band in its
infancy-hot, full of piss and vinegar, and ready to take on the world."

Nine of these twelve tracks are previously unissued, and include originals (including "Soap, Soup And Salvation", which would appear on their Geffen
debut two years later) to the covers they made their
own in concert (Johnny Cash and June Carter (Cash)'s "Jackson" and "Nothing Can Stop My Loving
You," written by George Jones and Roger Miller.)

Available on LP (with the first pressing on translucent red vinyl), in addition to Morris' liners, the package contains an essay from the band's Ryan Hedgecock, as well as a remembrance of David Vaught from Marvin Etzioni and an loving endorsement from Dolly Parton. With unseen photos and memorabilia, this collection is what Lone Justice fans have been waiting for. This Is Lone Justice: The Vaught Tapes, 1983 takes us back to a time when music had an energy that was hard to contain. Thanks to that studio in Van Nuys, CA, and this release, Justice has been served!

After many months of trying to get their schedules aligned, the band ended up in the studio with Chris Walla, at the Hall of Justice in Seattle. As he was setting up Ghetto's guitar amp combo and pulling gadgets off the shelves and microphones out of boxes he said to her, This is how you make a Van Halen record. Parade (Music From The Motion Picture Under The Cherry Moon)

Calling this one of Prince's most interesting albums doesn't do justice to how kicky and playable it is. The soundtrack from his romantic comedy Under the Cherry Moon, the album often sounds like a preview of the supremely surefooted quirkiness of its follow-up, the classic Sign o' the Times. Marrying lean funk grooves to over-the-top orchestrations and trying his hand at Parisian balladry and a hushed, Pet Sounds-style instrumental, he triumphs as few other record makers did in 1986. --Rickey Wright

Never Breathe What You Can't See

At last the long-rumored tag-team assault on God, Justice and the American Way of Life is set to grind your minds and pummel your craniums. The project hatched when the Melvins approached Jello, expressing their outrage at the phony Dead Kennedys cash-in reunion tour and proposed their own tour backing Jello playing all Dead Kennedys songs. Jello replied that he would rather write new songs and a band was born. The music is heavy and catchy, the sharp tongue and deadly riffs are everywhere, so if you think these guys have finally mellowed with age or matured as artists, think again.

Ronald Bronstein describes his extraordinary film as a brown tomato lobbed with spazmo aim at the spotless surface of the silver screen. Frownland has garnered passionate raves and scathing denunciation. Screenings have ended in screaming matches. None of Frownland's reputation does justice to its savage dark humor, emotional heft and stylistic audacity. Frownland is a character study of Keith, a neurotic, manipulative, unlovable New Yorker. Keith lurches his way through an uncaring city, attempting to aid a suicidal friend, evict his roommate, and attain some self-respect.

    Music For The Jilted Generation

The Prodigy's response to the sweeping legislation and crackdown on raves contained in 1994's Criminal Justice Bill is an effective statement of intent.

Pure sonic terrorism, Music for the Jilted Generation employs the same rave energy that charged their debut but yokes it to a cause other than massive drug intake. Compared to their previous work, the sound is grubbier and less reliant on samples; the effect moved The Prodigy away from US influenced rave and acid house of the past and toward a uniquely UK vision of breakbeat techno that was increasingly allied to the invention of drum 'n bass.

Nigerian police, seeking to put down this independent-minded rascal, tried to plant a joint on Kuti during a gathering at his home. Wise to there plan, he quickly swallowed the joint, but the police then threw him in jail to produce the evidence from his faeces. He escaped charges with some wily plotting, and then produced this song mocking the police for wasting resources on hassling him instead of furthering justice in Nigeria. Opening brass rounds give way to interplay between Fela's narration about the episode and responses from his group of female singers.

Live At The Ace Brixton 1983

Early pioneers of British hardcore and undisputed punk icons, G.B.H.'s early studio recordings were never able to do justice to the sheer violence of their live shows. Originally used for the soundtrack to a legendary Jettisoundz release on VHS, this raw 1983 recording is definitely not for the audiophile, but gives you an idea of exactly what punk was in London in 1983. 'Maniac', 'Sick Boy', Self Destruct', 'Give Me Fire', and more of their classics are played at the speed of light in front of an out-of-control crowd at the Brixton Academy March, 9th 1983.

40 Blue Fingers, Freshly Packed and Ready to Serve

    Remastered

Featuring Christine Perfect (better known as the future Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac) the British ensemble Chicken Shack offers up a solid set of blues-influenced rock on their 1968 LP, fully titled 40 Blue Fingers Freshly Packed And Ready To Serve.

This LP was a promising debut, especially noteworthy for Stan Webb's Freddie King-inspired guitar playing and Christine Perfect's vocals. Webb does justice to his mentor with two instrumentals, King's San-Ho-Zay and his own Webbed Feet, and Christine proves the ideal counterpart: one of the few pianists paying homage to King's longtime collaborator Sonny Thompson.

It remains their finest work; Perfect left the band in 1969 when she married John McVie of Fleetwood Mac. Pianist Paul Raymond, bassist Andy Silvester, and drummer Dave Bidwell all left in 1971 to join Savoy Brown.

The album - with a nice spare sound, typical of Mike Vernon's Blue Horizon label- will be enjoyed again, this time on audiophile vinyl.

    More Parts Per Million

The Thermals celebrate their 10-year anniversary by reissuing their three Sub Pop albums on vinyl. More Parts Per Million is the band's debut album, originally released by Sub Pop on March 4th, 2003. The Thermals were created in 2002 by singer Hutch Harris in his Portland-area kitchen. By that summer, they was a rock band in the flesh, with Kathy Foster on bass, Jordan Hudson on Drums and Kind of Like Spitting's Ben Barnett on the guitar. The Thermals play with a joyous frenzy not unlike the idiosyncratic guitar driven indie-punk of the Wedding Present, with lyrics spewed forth from the same oblique etherland as Guided By Voices. More Parts Per Million has sold over 12,000 copies, and the vinyl has been out of print for years. Chris Walla of Death Cab For Cutie mixed the album at The Hall of Justice studio in Seattle, WA.

    Feel The Sound

The fifth album by Imperial Teen, Feel the Sound, succeeds completely at its goal, plainly stated in the collections title. From the exhilarating, propulsive Runaway, which features the entire band on lead vocals, to the expansive final statement of Overtaken, Roddy Bottum, Lynn Perko Truell, Will Schwartz, and Jone Stebbins feel the sound themselves and, in turn, make the listener feel it in ways immediate, pleasurable, and haunting.

ELO-like symphonic pop has become a touchstone for everyone from Justice to Cut Copy in recent years, but Feel the Sound makes it manifest through live instrumentation that possesses a Krautrock level of intuitive synchronicity and a desert island jukeboxs sense of fun.

So many bands lose momentum and focus over time, but a little past its sweet sixteenth year of existence, Imperial Teen somehow grows both younger and wiser, connecting four characters through creative friendship and deep trust, and forging a communal power that continues to grow stronger. Limited to only 1000 vinyl copies!

Grammy®-nominated hip-hop pioneer Warren G is a Long Beach rapper who formed the legendary group 213 (named after the city's area code) with Nate Dogg and Snoop Dogg, who went on to collaborate with step-brother Dr. Dre on The Chronic (providing the samples for "Nuthin' But a G-Thang")

    Operator

After a 5 year hiatus, Canadian electronic music producers MSTRKRFT (Jessi F. Keeler & Al-P) are back. Driven by distorted drum beats, hauntingly hypnotic synths, and booming cinematic soul, OPERATOR immediately captivates. "It's probably the most acurate reflection of how we work on stage," says Jesse. "We had to be very creative with very few elements. It took time to figure that out".

2011 was the last time we heard from MSTRKRFT with the release of the single "BACK IN THE USSA", following their Juno Award-winning debut album THE LOOKS in 2006. MSTRKRFT have released official remixes for everybody from KATY PERRY and KYLIE MINOGUE to WOLFMOTHER, Justice and Bloc Party. 2009's FIST OF GOD boasted collaborations with the likes of John Legend, Ghostface Killah, E-40, N.O.R.E., Lil' Mo and more as it predicted an eventual crossover between hip-hop and electronic music on the horizon.
