    Golden (Pre-Order)

'Golden' is Kylie's first studio album in four years and her fourteenth studio album in a record breaking career. The album was mainly recorded in Nashville, which was a first for Kylie, a fact which couldn't help but inform the sound - albeit in Kylie's superlative pop style. This record is one of Kylie's most personal to date - with every song on 'Golden' co-written by Minogue.

    Murder Ballads

Nick Cave's been writing songs about killing and other evil things since he first surfaced in 1980 as the Birthday Party's pale, skinny, goth-punk Jim Morrison. But the murder ballads that provide this set's title are different, tantalizingly deliberate. Sure, there's plenty of trademark Cave here, but Murder Ballads is a fascinating concept album that uses the narrative ballad form of the English folk tradition to tell of murder: random deaths, passion crimes, and killing sprees, all in one package. Cave clearly thrives in this genre, and he produces some of his sharpest and most facile writing to date. Song of Joy, a genuinely scary campfire mystery of a murdered family and an unnamed killer, chillingly weaves clues into the lyrics, while Where the Wild Roses Grow is a narrative duet in which killer (Cave) and victim (pop star Kylie Minogue) reveal parallel tales. Cave even shows his knack for adaptation on Bob Dylan's Death Is Not the End: he recontextualizes a song of heavenly comfort into a sort of zombie We Are the World (featuring Minogue, PJ Harvey, Shane MacGowan, and others) in which death is not the end of pain and suffering. Above all, Murder Ballads should be heard as a work of pulp fiction--as sensationally funny as it is harrowing. The already violent traditional song Stagger Lee becomes gangsta folk, so ridiculously packed with obscenity and brutality it would make the Geto Boys cringe. And Cave's (unintentional?) point to would-be censors--that bad-ass songs existed long before rappers polluted the airways--should not be missed. --Roni Sarig

Leeds post-punkers Kaiser Chiefs are making a grand return in 2014. Singer Ricky Wilson has been named as a coach for the U.K. version of The Voice - joining will.i.am, Kylie Minogue, and Tom Jones - and his band will release their fifth album via ATO Records. Dubbed Education, Education, Education & War, the 10-track set follows up 2011's build-an-album experiment The Future Is Medieval.

The English group's latest was written in London, Los Angeles, and Nashville, and recorded at The Maze in Atlanta with studio boss Ben H. Allen producing (Washed Out, Deerhunter, Animal Collective).

After a 5 year hiatus, Canadian electronic music producers MSTRKRFT (Jessi F. Keeler & Al-P) are back. Driven by distorted drum beats, hauntingly hypnotic synths, and booming cinematic soul, OPERATOR immediately captivates. "It's probably the most acurate reflection of how we work on stage," says Jesse. "We had to be very creative with very few elements. It took time to figure that out".

2011 was the last time we heard from MSTRKRFT with the release of the single "BACK IN THE USSA", following their Juno Award-winning debut album THE LOOKS in 2006. MSTRKRFT have released official remixes for everybody from KATY PERRY and KYLIE MINOGUE to WOLFMOTHER, Justice and Bloc Party. 2009's FIST OF GOD boasted collaborations with the likes of John Legend, Ghostface Killah, E-40, N.O.R.E., Lil' Mo and more as it predicted an eventual crossover between hip-hop and electronic music on the horizon.

    Sirens Of Song

A purveyor and survivor of Britpop (with band Squeeze), solo artist, author, and television presenter, Jools Holland is prominent as one of British music's most recognized and trustworthy.

A couple of years back, Holland's talent for composition was refreshed with 2012's The Golden Age Of Song, a star-studded effort. Holland must have had the itch to repeat that highly successful and pleasant experience, only this time around he's kept it between him and the ladies. What emerges is 14 tracks of originals and reworked gems starring some of the best female voices in the business.

What Holland nails here are his choices of leading ladies for each track, which offer so much in the way of delightfully surprising and sublime covers. Jamaican songstress Ruby Turner sasses up Ray Charles' Jumpin' In The Morning, our own pop princess Kylie Minogue puts her pout to The Clash's Should I Stay Or Should I Go, and Emeli SandÉ admirably takes on 1920s standard Love Me Or Leave Me. Among the standouts, though, are Louise Marshall's A Vow, a poem by one of Holland's favourite English poets, Wendy Cope; Joss Stone's soulful attack in Letting Me Down; and the playful ska in Monkey Man, brought to life by the late, great Amy Winehouse.

Holland's orchestra never falters, nor do the man's fingers on the ivories, and running throughout is a vibrant sense of celebration for not only these skilfull lasses but for the sheer act of making music with many different talents.

    Bizarre Festival 1996 (Pre-Order)

By the time of their performance at the Bizarre Festival on 17th August 1996, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds were enjoying their most successful era to date. Their latest album Murder Ballads, released in February that year, was their best-selling record yet, having topped the charts in three countries and reached the Top 10 in a further five. This was aided in no small part by Nick Cave's duet with Kylie Minogue on 'Where the Wild Roses Grow', which was a worldwide hit and earned the band two ARIA awards. The video received repeated airplay on MTV, who would later nominate Nick Cave for Best Male Artist at the MTV Awards.

Nick and the Seeds toured Europe, Asia and South America in support of the album, and it is their entire performance at the Bizarre Festival that is included here. Recorded and broadcast on FM radio throughout the United States, who had curiously been left off the tour's itinerary, the group captured the dark, brooding nature of Murder Ballads perfectly in their set, which included too classics from their back catalogue such as 'The Weeping Song' and 'The Mercy Seat'. As a grand finale, the band were joined by PJ Harvey - with whom Cave was romantically linked at the time - for a rendition of 'Henry Lee'.

    Daggers

Ex Cops, a nomadic duo featuring Amalie Bruun and Brian Harding, brings the hook-heavy blast of '90s alt-rock into a new era on their second album Daggers. Executive produced by icon-of-form Billy Corgan and produced by Justin Raisen (Sky Ferriera, Charli XCX, Kylie Minogue), the record rescues guitar-pop from the bedroom, returning it to the stage it deserves.

Formed in 2011, the group's first album True Hallucinations, released in early 2013, was a critically-acclaimed collection of sprawling indie-pop. From the exuberant "Spring Break (Birthday Song)" to the band's dreamy debut "You Are A Lion, I Am A Lamb," the John Siket-produced record (Blonde Redhead, Yo La Tengo) was a genre-jumping opening salvo and its wall-to-wall guitars set the tone for their new album.

Daggers is a musical about-face, though. "We are not afraid of our favorite music anymore," says Harding. "It's pop."

Billy Corgan, in addition to sharing the band's love of ABBA and taking them to their first wrestling match, provided form and texture to the new tracks over a two-week period in Chicago. The band then took the material to LA for tracking with Raisen and continued collaborating with artists like Ariel Pink, who co-wrote "Burnt Out Love" and features on "Tragically Alright."

The result reinvents modern rock. "White Noise," with its addictive chorus, merges guitars that could make your teeth ache and a motorik electronic pop pulse. The impeccably-produced "Teenagers" brings club-ready downtown pop to an anthemic peak, while "Black Soap" shifts shoegaze textures to stadium status and "Rooms," one of the album's emotionally-resonant ballads, packs a substantial punch.

    Don't You

Columbia Records is proud to announce Don't You, the long-anticipated album from the trio of friends known as Wet, an astonishingly lucid and heart-wrenching collection of 11 tracks.

Wet, comprised of singer-songwriter Kelly Zutrau, and multi-instrumentalists Joe Valle and Marty Sulkow, make songs that resist easy categorization and invite every listener to bask in its intimate glow. But despite their wide-ranging sensibilities, Wet never compromises its core: sturdy pop songwriting and piercing lyrics.

The album, almost entirely self-produced, was written during a period of solitude in a rented house in Western Massachusetts last year. Wet works together as a trio on every aspect of the album; Joe and Marty work on all aspects of the album's instrumentation; they take Kelly's demos and arrange them to perfection.

The trio met through mutual friends as college students in New York City in 2007. After a few years of informal dabbling, they began officially making music as Wet during the summer of 2012, an especially aimless and emotionally turbulent period.. After releasing a few songs on SoundCloud -- like Don't Wanna Be Your Girl, a weak-kneed but strong-headed breakup ballad -- they quickly began attracting attention, sometimes from unexpected places before releasing their critically acclaimed debut EP Wet in May 2014.

The Fader described Wet as pure, unhurried... sounds like it was made in the city but good while driving to the country, and social media stars like Kylie Jenner began gushing on Instagram. Former New Yorker music critic Sasha Frere-Jones listed Don't Wanna Be Your Girl as his favorite song of 2013, describing it as completely perfect. Interview magazine wrote: Electronic music has never been this lonely and beautiful.

    Family Jewels

The Family Jewels on vinyl for the first time! Diamandis' debut studio album - it debuted at number five on the UK Albums Chart with first-week sales of 27,618 copies, and was eventually certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry. Produced by Liam Howe (Ex-Sneaker Pimps), Biff Stannard (Kylie) and Pascal Gabriel (Ladyhawke), The Family Jewels is part autobiography/part fairytale with the sound ranging from the uber-shiny pop of "Shampain" to the fragile elegance of "Obsessions" and "Numb", the pop-punk of "Girls" and the joyful quirkiness of "Mowgli's Road" and "Hermit the Frog". This steely determination even fed into the production of the album with Marina making producer Liam Howe record 482 vocal takes for one song.

The end result is an album that functions as a fully formed piece of art. Heartbreaking and emotional at times as exemplified in "I Am Not A Robot", which reached no.26 in the UK Charts, Marina lays herself open and vulnerable for her fans, the diamonds.

Diamandis was ranked in second place on the Sound of 2010 poll organised by BBC, behind English singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding. Mowgli's Road was released as the lead single from Diamandis' debut studio album on 13 November 2009. It was followed by Hollywood on 1 February, which reached number 12 on the UK Singles Chart.

    Electra Heart

Marina and The Diamonds second album, Electra Heart, is not so much a creative leap forward, more an Olympian pole-vault over the bar of talented-newcomer into the global amphitheater of a cultivated Classic.

Two years on from her top 5 debut The Family Jewels (300,000 copies sold), the self-styled avant-garde D.I.Y artist has detonated her own experimental past and landed feet first in the future with Electra Heart, a stunningly ambitious, seamless, cohesive and confident sonic pulsar spinning between electro-pop euphoria and come-down melancholia. The album is produced by a cache of old school and A-List producers: Dr Luke (Katy Perry) and Liam Howe (Sneaker Pimps) but mostly (9 out of 12 songs) Greg Kurstin (Lily Allen, Kylie) and Rick Nowels (Madonna, Stevie Nicks, Lykke Li). A hook-packed stunner with the sonic ambition of a one-woman Depeche Mode, her onetime theatrical vocals now effortlessly soar between spectral, commanding and towering power-pop, finding her vocal identity in an album about a loss of it.

Electra Heart is a thematic riot, a British Eccentric, 21st Century concept caper where the album title represents a series of female archetypes, not so much an alter-ego as a beautifully-constructed prism, through which Marina projects a series of meticulously-realized female characters as a foil for telling her story, the one about mismatched lovers.

Electra Heart marks the sophomore release from Marina and the Diamonds, aiming to make a big impact in the US as Marina breaks the mold with her Americana-ode to pop music and cultural stereotypes.
