    Lady and Gentleman

Lady & Gentlemen, a creative concept album co-produced by LeAnn Rimes, country superstar Vince Gill and successful writer, Darrell Brown, features country classic songs by the likes of George Jones, Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings, all sung from a modern females perspective.

Says LeAnn, This album was born out of the memories of when I first fell in love with country music and in reflecting, I realized that almost all of my favorite country songs from back then were sung by men. I am honored to take a step back in time and sing these songs from a woman's perspective and hopefully help reintroduce them to a new audience.

The album features the Grammy Award nominated song Swingin (Best Female Country Vocal Performance) along with the moving single, Give, Crazy Women and an anniversary edition of Blue as bonus tracks.

    Coyote Ugly

The latest Jerry Bruckheimer production focuses on five twenty-something women working their way through life at a fashionable bar in New York City. Four new LeAnn Rimes tracks highlight this collection. Though all from the pen of veteran songwriter Diane Warren, the tracks vary in style from diva pop (Fight the Moonlight) to sentimental musings (Please Remember). It's only a matter of time before Rimes leaves country music completely behind for the sleek modern world of mainstream pop. The remaining songs are a hodgepodge of different eras. EMF's Unbelievable and Snap's The Power hark back to the early 1990s, while Don Henley and INXS deliver the dancebeat kick of the '80s. The firing fiddle of the Charlie Daniels Band's 1979 hit The Devil Went Down to Georgia seems out of context here. But then, this bar must have one odd jukebox to begin with. --Rob O'Connor

Sounding remarkably like Patsy Cline, LeAnn Rimes's voice slices into each song like a hot knife through butter. At the age of 13, Rimes became country's brightest new star upon the release of this impressive debut. Her balanced blend of traditional and new country owes as much to Cline as it does 1990s' style. Cattle Call, a duet with the legendary Eddy Arnold, is just one of the many highlights on this album.

Attention is focused on Rimes's distinctive booming vocals, as opposed to some snappy chops--musically, it all sounds familiar, like you have heard this before. Still, there are moments where you feel this could not be the voice of a child. As she matures, so will her feelings and presumably her songs. --Paula Ghergia

    Lost Highway

The album influences the band's rock sound with that of country music following the success of a country version of the band's 2006 single Who Says You Can't Go Home, a duet with Jennifer Nettles, which reached No. 1 on the U.S. country chart in May 2006. Following the success had with the duet version of Who Says You Can't Go Home, there are two songs on the album produced in collaboration with other artists, namely We Got It Going On featuring Big & Rich and Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore featuring LeAnn Rimes.

Described by Jon Bon Jovi as a Bon Jovi album influenced by Nashville, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, becoming Bon Jovi's first ever album to debut at No. 1 and their third album to reach that position in United States. The album was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2008 Grammy Awards.
