The Complete BBC Sessions (Deluxe Edition)

    Pressed on 180 Gram Vinyl

Newly Remastered With Supervision By Jimmy Page

Includes A Fifth LP Of Unreleased Audio

BBC Sessions was originally released in 1997 and has been certified double platinum by the RIAA. THE COMPLETE BBC SESSIONS builds on that collection with a third disc that boasts eight unreleased performances. In addition, the set includes extensive session-by-session liner notes written by Dave Lewis. For the first time ever, it provides accurate details and notes about all of the band's BBC sessions.

Musical highlights on this new collection include the debut of a long-lost radio session that has achieved near-mythic status among fans. Originally broadcast in April 1969, the session included three songs: I Can't Quit You Baby, You Shook Me, and the only recorded performance of Sunshine Woman.

Also included are two unreleased versions of both Communication Breakdown and What Is And What Should Never Be. Separated by two years, the performances vividly demonstrate the young band's rapid evolution over a short period of time.

Jimmy Page spoke about the band's growth in an interview with Guitar World: The BBC Sessions show in graphic detail just how organic the group was. Led Zeppelin was a band that would change things around substantially each time it played...We were becoming tighter and tighter, to the point of telepathy.

Speaking with Wall of Sound, John Paul Jones added: We'd been on the road a lot by the time those sessions were recorded. The albums were always the starting point of the music, and then we'd take it out and expand it on the road. Then we'd come straight off the road into those BBC studios.

Recalling the BBC experience in an interview with Mojo, Robert Plant said: The whole thing was very quaint: the politeness of the audience, the technicians fumbling about, proper hallowed low-key introductions. Like there was some sort of holy moment about to occur.

In 1968, Jimmy Page formed Led Zeppelin, one of the most influential, innovative and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Page brought in Robert Plant, John Bonham and John Paul Jones. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Jimmy Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world.

Led Zeppelin continues to be honored for its pivotal role in music history. The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1995, received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005, and a year later was awarded the Polar Music Prize in Stockholm. Founding members Page, Plant, and Jones, and along with Jason Bonham, the son of John Bonham - took the stage at London's O2 Arena in 2007 to headline a tribute concert for Ahmet Ertegun, a dear friend and Atlantic Records' founder. The band was honored for its lifetime contribution to American culture at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012. In January of 2014, the band won their first ever Grammy award as Celebration Day, which captured their live performance at the Ertegun tribute concert, was named Best Rock Album. The last two years saw an unprecedented reissue campaign of all nine of the band's studio albums, which achieved Top 10 chart status around the globe whilst also garnering 5-star reviews and other critical accolades along the way.

Over the past few years, Vintage Trouble have wowed audiences across the globe by opening for The Rolling Stones in London's Hyde Park, touring with legends like The Who and AC/DC, and playing sold-out headline shows worldwide. Now, on their first album for Blue Note Records, the Los Angeles-based foursome - singer Ty Taylor, guitarist Nalle Colt, bassist Rick Barrio Dill, and drummer Richard Danielson channel the vitality and passion of their live show into a fresh and urgent take on guitar-powered rhythm & blues. Produced by Blue Note president and three-time Grammy Award-winner Don Was, 1 Hopeful Rd. finds Vintage Trouble building off the groove-fueled sound that Yahoo! once painted as ''James Brown singing lead for Led Zeppelin'' and blending blues, soul, and riff-heavy rock & roll with joyfully gritty abandon. As heard on lead single ''Run Like the River,'' 1 Hopeful Rd. matches Vintage Trouble's emotional intensity with a raw yet sophisticated musicianship that's prompted the New York Times to name the band modern-day answer to Otis Redding and BBC Radio 6 to anoint them ''the heirs of rhythm and blues.''

    A Journey Too Far

    180 Gram Vinyl Includes 12" + 7"

"A Journey Too Far" sees Nostalgia 77 - the London based producer, guitarist, songwriter and bandleader further developing his
creative partnership with German singer Josa Peit.

Nostalgia 77 main man Benedic Lamdin is hugely in demand as a producer and engineer, with work for a diverse array of artists as well as his own studio
albums and side-projects (the most recent of which, Nostalgia 77 and the Monster, led to heavy BBC 6Music play and a live session for Cerys Matthews).
His latest A-list assignment has been with Jamie Cullum, a relationship that has evolved from the latter's admiration and support for Nostalgia 77 on his
    BBC Radio 2 show.

Lead single"An Angel With No Halo" finds Lamdin melding inspirations from the English folk and psychedelic scene to the '60s orchestral pop of
Gainsbourg and Axelrod. Building on the strides he made as a songwriter on his 2011 album 'The Sleepwalking Society', this single blends a poetic,
highly visual lyricism with his much lauded skills and instincts as a composer.

Nostalgia 77's last studio album introduced him to a wider audience than ever, by dint of refreshing blues, folk and psychedelic influences and the
decision to complete his band with the charismatic Josa Peit - the perfect interpreter of his songs - where he had previously featured various guests.
Media support abounded, with radio play including Jason Bentley, Jeremy Sole, Garth Trinidad, Gilles Peterson, The Selector, Gideon Coe, and Don
Letts; national radio playlisting in the US, France and elsewhere, and major features including The Telegraph and Wax Poetics.

Aside from her work with the Nostalgia 77 band, Josa Peit is a rising star of the German music scene, with increasing international recognition. She has
recently been collaborating with renowned German beatmaker Dexter, and has also just seen the release of her first self-produced track Waste on the
"Muscle Tuff compilation from hot Berlin techno/house collective Brandt Brauer Frick's The Gym label; with more solo outings in the pipeline.

    Encyclopedia

Against the bleeding-heart backdrop of Times Square at the Novotel Hotel, The Drums announced they will be releasing their third full-length,
    'Encyclopedia.'

Noisey surprised everyone by premiering the first single, "Magic Mountain" on July 15. In fact it was the first song The Drums have released in nearly 3
years, marking a return to the two founding core members of Jonny Pierce and Jacob Graham. Spin says "the new single is still guided by that infectious
head-bobbery, but the Brooklyn indie-popper's blithe bounce takes on a fervent frenzy." Baeble noted the prevailing "sheen of gloom and apprehension," a
departure that Paste says "stirs in sounds in all the right ways."

'Encyclopedia' is The Drums' third full-length album. Emerging from Brooklyn via Florida in 2009, they smashed on the scene with their 'Summertime!' EP
that led to a spot on the BBC Sound of 2010 shortlist, The ShockWaves NME Tour, and the publication's Phillip Hall Radar Award.
The Drums' music often explores the themes of loss, nostalgia, redemption, vulnerability, and love - with critic's raves embracing both the lyrics and their
sonic signature. This time around, they've embraced a darker sound while making it as grand and majestic as they please.

'Encyclopedia' is full of magic and surprise while maintaining a serious, more weighty tone throughout, says Jonny. The upcoming LP marks the first
time since the 'Summertime!' EP that Jacob and Jonny were left to their own devices, without having to ask a soul for approval. The result is an exciting
display of personal emotion and unashamed, majestic songwriting style. In September, The Drums hit the road for the first time since the 2012.

    Kindly Now (Awaiting Repress)

Keaton Henson will release his third official studio album, 'Kindly Now', via Play It Again Sam. Having sold out the Roundhouse earlier this year, Keaton has also confirmed plans for his biggest European headline shows to date, including a show at London's Palladium on November 18th.

'Alright' was written in Los Angeles shortly after the release of Henson's acclaimed second album, 'Birthdays'. Struggling with the apparent trade-off of having to put himself on display in order to make the music he loved, 'Alright' describes a very English way of grinning through pain (and also the sense that despite your world shifting so quickly, maybe you haven't changed very much at all). It's a stunning introduction to 'Kindly Now', a record which simultaneously broadens Keaton's canvas - more electronic in places, more classical in others - yet also reflects a life-long love of Randy Newman. 'Kindly Now' is ultimately Keaton Henson's most emotionally stripped-back album thus far, an unheroic and unsettling examination of past loves, the role of the artist, and owning up to your own destruction.

'Kindly Now' continues an extraordinary journey for Keaton Henson, who quietly released his limited edition, hand-made debut album 'Dear ' in 2012, before a surprise Zane Lowe play led to a flurry of investigation into Henson's identity and whereabouts. Despite choosing not to perform or promote his record in a conventional manner, his heavier second album 'Birthdays' saw Keaton make an astonishing return to the live arena: from playing one-on-one for fans, to cinemas, museums and churches internationally. Whilst beginning to write songs for 'Kindly Now', Keaton pushed himself in two extreme directions: first, he taught himself the art of orchestration and arrangement, and surprise-released the critically acclaimed collection of bedroom-classical music, 'Romantic Works', on the same day as his immediately-sold-out date at London's Meltdown Festival (at the request of James Lavelle). Then, having completed 'Kindly Now', Henson pushed the more electronic textures of some of his new songs into 'Behaving', his first album of wholly-electronic music (also staging a DIY, immersive production of Vivaldi's Four Seasons for two-sold out nights at Oval Space, in association with The Barbican).

On top of his work as a worldwide-exhibited visual artist, Keaton has recently released his first poetry collection ('Idiot Verse') and scored the forthcoming Balletboyz' feature-length World-War-One epic 'Young Men' in conjunction with the BBC (originally performed at Sadler's Wells, and resulting in Keaton conducting the BBC Concert Orchestra). This has all - one way or another - fed into 'Kindly Now': an album four years in the making, from an artist of whom all you can expect is the unexpected, but reliably unflinching.

    Room 29

Compelling new Deutsche Grammophon album Room 29, a unique collaboration between Jarvis Cocker and Chilly Gonzales, asks what the ghosts of Hollywood's golden age can tell us about how we came to be where we are today.

Standing at the west end of Hollywood's Sunset Boulevard, the Chateau Marmont hotel has seen many a famous and infamous guest pass through its doors since it opened in 1929. A 2012 stay in one of its second-floor rooms inspired British lyricist and singer Jarvis Cocker to look into its history and led to this collaborative project with multi-faceted Canadian pianist and composer Chilly Gonzales. Room 29, a 21st-century song cycle, is set for release on Deutsche Grammophon Gonzales' score and Cocker's lyrics conjure up the lives of some of Room 29's previous occupants, as well as shining a light on the glittering fantasy and often bleak reality of Hollywood.

"If you must get in trouble, do it at the Chateau Marmont," noted Harry Cohn, founder of Columbia Pictures, in 1939. Jarvis Cocker was intrigued by the hotel's links to the history of the film industry. He found the key to creativity in the fact that Room 29 contained a baby-grand piano. What if it could "sing" of the life stories and events it had witnessed? The idea also ignited Chilly Gonzales's imagination, and both artists embarked on a three-year journey of artistic discovery, unearthing details about guests such as Jean Harlow, Mark Twain's daughter Clara, and Los Angeles mobster Meyer Cohen, alias "Mickey the Haberdasher". As well as dramatizing some of those stories, their songs capture both the essential loneliness of the hotel room and the ways in which moving images have "moved" people in ways they don't quite understand. Gonzales and Cocker have drawn on the 19th-century model of the song cycle for a structure capable of containing the broad sweep of emotions and states of mind elicited by the real and imaginary dramas of one unusual hotel suite. Room 29 emerges as the metaphor for a place within each of us, home to our deepest desires and fantasies.

Since moving to Germany in the late 1990s, Chilly Gonzales has pursued a breathtaking range of musical projects, spanning everything from rap and experimental rock to hip hop and Satie-inspired minimalism. The classically trained pianist collaborated with the Kaiser Quartett on his last solo album, Chambers, attracting critical acclaim to its neo-Romantic reflections on chamber music in the age of pop. The Hamburg-based string quartet plays a prominent part in Room 29, providing a sonorous tonal complement to Gonzales' piano writing and accompanying Jarvis Cocker's vocals. Lead singer and primary lyricist of Pulp for over 30 years, on and off, Cocker has also released two solo albums, and developed a successful broadcasting career, presenting both Jarvis Cocker's Sunday Service on BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Radio 4's Wireless Nights.

"People wonder why there's always a massive gap between my albums," says Pip Brown, better known as Ladyhawke, the one-woman synth-pop act from New Zealand. The reason is both complicated and easy. The simple explanation: "I've never released anything I'm not proud of. That's important to me."

Those instincts have served Brown well, starting with her self-titled debut in 2008, which peaked at No. 16 on the U.K. album charts and No. 1 in Australia and New Zealand's album charts. Ladyhawke's more aurally angular follow-up, Anxiety, charted in the U.K.'s Top 40 and in Australia's and New Zealand's Top 20, respectively.

Brown's conviction to authenticity led her on a journey starting in 2013. Over three years, she scrapped a full Ladyhawke album ("The material didn't feel like me. It felt too dark or something"). Once reliant on alcohol to surmount social anxiety ("I'd never done a sober show in my life until last December"), she quit drinking and focused on getting healthy. Then she welcomed that newfound clarity by crafting her latest release, the blissed-out Wild Things.

"This album has given me a sense of purpose. Even if it took me months or years to get that purpose, as soon as I finished that record it was like an unbelievable weight was lifted off my shoulders," she says. You can hear that freedom in Wild Things' unabashed exuberance, a powerful, vibrant expression of life itself. "Everything I wrote was all the stuff I was going through. I got it out of my system, exorcised it from my soul."
