LOW IN HIGH SCHOOL will be Morrissey's first studio album since
2014 and his debut for BMG. The album will see BMG partnering
with Morrissey on the new release and on the launch of his new
label, Etienne Records. LOW IN HIGH SCHOOL was recorded at
La Fabrique Studios in France and in Rome at Ennio Morricone's
Forum Studios. The record is produced by Joe Chiccarelli (who
has worked with The Strokes, Beck and The White Stripes to
    name a few).

Morrissey's talent for combining political statements and beautiful
melodies is more prevalent than ever on LOW IN HIGH SCHOOL,
capturing the zeitgeist of an ever-changing world.

Rising to prominence as frontman of The Smiths, Morrissey went
on to forge an even more successful career as a solo artist, with
all ten of his solo efforts landing in the Top 10 on the UK album
charts, including 3 entries at the #1 position. Releasing his debut
solo album Viva Hate back in 1988, he has since released a
number of critically acclaimed follow-ups including Kill Uncle and
Your Arsenal, and hugely successful comeback album You Are the
Quarry after a five year hiatus in 2004.

Fully Automatic Belt Drive Turntable With On-Board Phono EQ

You want to jump into the vinyl records craze, but many of today's AV receivers and integrated amplifiers lack a proper phono input. That's why Marantz offers the TT42P, a special version of the TT42 with a built-in phono preamp. The TT42P does not require a dedicated phono input; simply plug it into any line level audio input (the same type of input you would use for a compact disc player). The turntable comes ready-to-play with a pre-installed cartridge, so you'll be spinning records moments after unboxing. A low-coloration tone arm, DC servo motor, and belt drive ensure pristine, interference-free playback.

Enjoy your vinyl collection with stunning audio quality thanks to modern audio technologies. Low-coloration tone arm, DC servo motor, and belt drive ensure pristine, interference-free playback.

Vinyl Record Playing with Modern Convenience

Have you noticed the resurgence of vinyl record sales in recent years? Fueled by the fact that many treasured albums have not been issued in digital format, and with newer artists continuing to release music on vinyl, turntables are popping up in living rooms all over the world.

The Marantz TT42P Turntable combines old school record playing with convenient, high-performance features. The turntable is fully automatic: with a push of the play button, the tone arm precisely lifts itself onto the record groove, saving you the trouble of having to manually position the stylus. Once playback has concluded, the tone arm safely returns to its resting position without scuffing your record.

Built-In Phono Preamp for Easy Connectivity

Because many audio receivers do not feature a dedicated phono input, the TT42P comes with a built-in phono input circuitry. This allows you to plug the TT42P into any line level audio input (the same type of input you would use for a compact disc player) for easy, plug-and-play enjoyment of your vinyl collection.

A Quality Mechanism for High-Fidelity Playback

The TT42P turntable is outfitted with a low-coloration tone arm that resists resonance for a clear, balanced sound. A high quality, moving magnet cartridge is preset at the factory for proper tracking and smooth response. In addition, the turntable's DC servo belt drive keeps the motor running at a constant speed for optimum performance. The TT42P is designed to produce a stunning, nuanced, and distortion-free audio performance.

A version of the TT42P without a phono preamp, the TT42, is also available and works with multi-channel receivers that feature a dedicated phono input.

The Marantz TT42P Turntable comes complete with a clear plastic dust cover and is backed by a three-year limited warranty, subject to the full warranty terms and conditions.

    You're Gonna Miss It All

Philadelphia's Modern Baseball are a uniquely contemporary band. Their
quirky, tuneful songs convey how it feels to be young and hopeless in modern
America-a cracked cellphone clutched in one's hand, subconsciously refreshing
social media, hoping to get noticed by that girl at the party and ignored by
the ghosts from high school past. Calling on Say Anything's bravado, the Front
Bottoms' tongue-in-cheek quirk and the Weakerthans' literary misery, Modern
Baseball have made a record with remarkable depth and relate-ability.

    The 1975

The 1975 are an English, Manchester-based alternative rock band from Wilmslow in Cheshire. The group consists of Matthew Healy (vocals, guitar),
Adam Hann (guitar), George Daniel (drums), and Ross MacDonald (bass). They have released four EPs: Facedown, Sex, Music for Cars and IV.

Matthew Healy, Ross MacDonald, Adam Hann and George Daniel met at Wilmslow High School near Manchester as teenagers and began to play music in 2002. After Hann invited the members to form a band, they passed their early days covering punk songs in a local club. Healy was originally the drummer, but took over vocals after the previous singer left to start another band. Daniel was recruited as the new drummer to complete the final line-up. Their name was inspired by scribblings found in the back page of an old Beat poetry book dated 1 June, The 1975.

The release of their first EP, entitled Facedown, in August 2012 saw the band's first UK airplay on national radio with lead track The City, which featured as part of a BBC Introducing show with Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1. The 1975 once again garnered national radio attention in late 2012, with BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe championing their single Sex. They found mainstream chart success in spring 2013 with single Chocolate, which reached number 19 in the UK singles chart.

    The Nameless Ranger

Modern Baseball was formed in 2011 by friends
and guitarists Jacob Ewald and Brendan Lukens,
who were soon joined by Ian Farmer on bass and
Sean Huber on drums. The band self-released
their first EP The Nameless Ranger in 2011 while
still in high school. Shortly after the members
relocated to Philadelphia to attend college and
quickly gained a strong following in the
Philadelphia music community, teaming up with
locals Marietta to release the Couples Therapy
split in the spring of 2012. Modern Baseball
released their debut full-length Sports later that
year on Lame-O Records, which they selfrecorded
    and produced.

After spending the summer of 2013 touring
heavily across the US, the band headed into
    Studio A in Philadelphia to self-record You're
Going to Miss It All. Mixed by Jonathan Low at
Minor Street Recordings and mastered by Will
Yip, You're Going to Miss It All features 12 tracks
that showcase the band's signature witty indiepop.

    Ology

The push-and-pull that drives Gallant's music is like a pendulum swinging back and forth between genres and influences. His combination of muscular vocal acrobatics and sonic unpredictability has attracted universal tastemaker praise and a growing fan base. Complex championed the Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter as The R&B game changer, LA Times claimed, Precise writing of Frank Ocean, big vocal runs of Sam Smith, and NME predicted, the voice that will redefine R&B, while Entertainment Weekly, The Fader, Billboard, and more have shown support. Sir Elton John summed it up best saying, Gallant is gonna be huge.

Gallant has been on this pursuit since junior high. Growing up in Columbia, MD, he began tinkering on his computer and making songs after school inspired by everything from nineties R&B to classic jazz and blues. Rather than write in a journal, the music collated his feelings and emotions. He'd rarely share it with friends though. While attending NYU, he enrolled in summer school, so he could graduate early. Post-graduation and countless hours of meticulous practice later, he was finally ready to share his songs to the world at large.

His first online release If It Hurts would establish him in the blogosphere, while 2014's Zebra EP landed him on Spotify's viral charts and at the top of HypeM. Signing to Mind of a Genius in 2015 and relocating to L.A., he dove into creating what would become Ology with co-producers such as Stint. The first single Weight In Gold enjoyed its world premiere on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 Radio show as the introductory entry in the coveted World's First segment. In less than six months, it accumulated over 6.5 million Spotify streams.
As Gallant continues on his search, he leaves a message on the path. If people can hear I'm not doing this to feed any ego or serve someone else, that's all I want, he leaves off. I'm trying to create a photo album I can look back on to see where I've overcome challenges. I'm using music as a means of self-discovery. If my songs help somebody do the same thing or realize art can help us improve ourselves, I'd be honored.

    Khun Narin's Electric Phin Band

It all started over a year ago with the caption "MINDBLOWING PSYCHEDELIA FROM THAILAND"-the Youtube video that accompanied this headline on the Dangerous Minds Blog was exactly that. Here was a group of Thai
musicians being filmed parading through a remote village hundreds of miles
away from Bangkok playing some of the heaviest Psych known to mankind out
of a crazy homemade soundsystem. Who were these men and how on earth was
this not some unearthed archived footage from the '60s or '70s?! The Youtube
clip quickly made its rounds amongst music enthusiasts leaving many in the
Western hemisphere to question who this group of contemporary Thai villagers
(loosely named Khun Narin's Electric Phin Band) was.

Six months after that first encounter with Khun Narin's Electric Phin Band, a
Los Angeles music producer named Josh Marcy used Facebook and some unlikely interpreters at his local Thai restaurant to get in contact with the band and
inquire whether they'd be interested in having him travel to their town to record
their music for a global audience. At first the band was naturally suspicious, but
through subsequent interactions the group's leader and namesake Khun Narin
(also known simply as "Rin") warmed to the idea of having Marcy come visit.
And so began the journey of uncovering who these mysterious men from an
    obscure blog post actually were.

Khun Narin's Electric Phin Band's membership is always in rotation and spans
several generations, from high school kids to men well into their 60s. A standard
engagement has the band setting up at the hosting household during the morning rituals, playing several low-key sets from the comfort of plastic lawn chairs
occasionally working in a cover version of a foreign classic (The Cranberries
'Zombie' is a recent favorite) while the beer and whiskey flow freely. After a
mid-day banquet, they start up the generator and lead a parade through the community to the local temple, picking up more and more partiers along the way

Jack Johnson & Friends: Best Of The Kukua Festival

Just in time for Earth Day, Brushfire Records will release Jack Johnson and Friends: Best of Kokua Festival. The album features a 13-track compilation of live performances from Jack Johnson's benefit concerts for the Kokua Hawaii Foundation. Proceeds from Jack Johnson and Friends: Best of Kokua Festival will benefit the Kokua Hawaii Foundation.

Culled from six years of his eco-minded music festival, Jack Johnson and Friends: Best of Kokua Festival, highlights onstage collaborations with legendary musicians like Willie Nelson, Jackson Browne, Eddie Vedder, Ben Harper, Dave Mathews, Ziggy and Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley and more.

Johnson and his band team up with more than a dozen guest artists to perform both original works and spirited covers of classic songs. The album features several of Johnson's breezy folk-rock gems, including "Constellations" (with Eddie Vedder), "Mudfootball" (with Ozomatli & G. Love), "Breakdown" (with ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro), and "Better Together" (with Hawaiian singer Paula Fuga).

Elsewhere on Jack Johnson and Friends: Best of Kokua Festival, Johnson joins his guests for stripped-down renditions of their own songs: Taj Mahal offers his bluesy "Further On Down The Road," Jackson Browne revisits "Take It Easy" with the help of singer/guitarist John Cruz (who also shares his Hawaiian anthem "Island Style"), and the Marley brothers bring the reggae with Ziggy's "Cry, Cry, Cry" and Damian's dancehall banger "Welcome to Jamrock."

Rounding out the record are an eclectic collection of covers, including Bob Marley's "High Tide or Low Tide" (featuring Ben Harper), Bob Dylan's "I Shall Be Released" (featuring Eddie Vedder) and Jimmy Buffet's "A Pirate Looks at Forty" (featuring Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds). Willie Nelson, meanwhile, delivers a Harper-assisted take on "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain," the Fred Rose-penned classic he popularized.

Held on Earth Day weekend at Honolulu's Waikiki Shell since its inception in 2004, the Kokua Festival serves as both a community-centered celebration of music and environmental awareness and as the major fundraiser for the Kokua Hawaii Foundation (a nonprofit organization founded by Johnson and his wife Kim in 2003 to support environmental education in the schools and communities of Hawaii). Like the festival itself, Jack Johnson and Friends: Best of Kokua Festival spotlights artists who share the Kokua Hawaii Foundation's mission of protecting the planet and cultivating environmental consciousness.

The late Nashville songwriter Harlan Howard famously defined the ingredients of a great song as three chords and the truth. Every songwriter knows three chords, but laying bare the truth? Now that can be an altogether trickier affair. In January of 2012, The Gaslight Anthem piled into their old tour van and headed across the New Jersey state line for a 14 hour road trip to Nashville on their own quest for the truth. Their destination was 2806 Azalea Place, Nashville, Blackbird Studio, where the New Brunswick quartet had booked five weeks recording time with producer Brendan O'Brien (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, AC/DC). Their mission: to reconnect with rock 'n' roll in its most feral, pure, stripped-raw form.

Brian Fallon was thirteen years old when he discovered The Clash's self-titled debut album in the racks of Sound Effects Records in Hackettstown, New Jersey: the owner of the store promised the young teenager that the record would change his life. He wasn't wrong. But there was a time, not so very long ago, when The Gaslight's Anthem frontman had grown weary of the sound of electric guitars. After three albums of soulful, impassioned, hearts-on-fire punk rock, Sink Or Swim (2007), The '59 Sound (2008) and American Slang (2010), Fallon needed a change of pace, a change of scenery.

And so, in January of 2011, together with TGA guitar tech Ian Perkins, he formed The Horrible Crowes, a darkly melancholic side-project inspired by his love of The Afghan Whigs, Tom Waits and PJ Harvey. After the band's acclaimed debut album Elsie dropped in September, Fallon joined fellow punk rock troubadours Chuck Ragan, Dan Andriano (Alkaline Trio) and Dave Hause (The Loved Ones) on the acoustic Revival Tour, airing stripped-down versions of Gaslight Anthem and Horrible Crowes songs to packed rooms across Europe. And then he returned home to New Jersey and Gaslight, re-energized, renewed and ready to make a full-tilt rock 'n' roll record again.

After six weeks of that there's nothing you want to hear more than a Marshall stack turned all the way up, he says with a laugh. The result is Handwritten, the most committed, affecting and compelling album of The Gaslight Anthem's career to date. Introduced by muscular lead-off single 45, which received it's world premiere on BBC Radio 1 as Zane Lowe's Hottest Record In The World on April 30, it finds the Jersey boys in inspired form, decanting '60's soul, '70's stadium rock, '80s hardcore and '90's grunge into eleven white-knuckle, blue-collar everyman anthems. Fallon likens its incandescent electrical storms to Tom Petty songs (being) played by Pearl Jam. Put more simply, it's a supercharged American rock 'n' roll classic.

We've taken everything we do and gone to 10 with it, explains Fallon. This is definitely the Gaslight Anthem record I would want next, if I were a fan. American Slang was cool, but this sounds like a band who has plugged back into the electric socket again. I think these songs are the closest thing to what we should have always sounded like, adds guitarist Alex Rosamilia. We just hadn't figured out yet how to play it right.

Fallon credits Brendan O'Brien for capturing the raw, live-off-the-floor feel of Handwritten. Fine-tuned in the living room of the small rental house the band shared in Nashville, its eleven tracks were recorded with the whole band eyeball-to-eyeball in one room at Blackbird, vibing off one another's energy. The electricity in the recordings is tangible. Brendan taught us a ton about songwriting and recording as a band, Fallon notes. The whole experience was amazing. That's the guy that recorded Pearl Jam, that's the guy that recorded Bruce Springsteen, that's the guy that did Rage Against The Machine; and that's the guy you want to say 'It's good', because when he says it's good, that's when it's good.

The purity of O'Brien's stark, unadorned recording process served to inspire Fallon's approach to the lyrical themes on Handwritten too. Where previous Gaslight Anthem albums evoked deathless images of Americana, all Cadillacs, jukeboxes, Ferris wheels and wistful, romanticized vignettes of star-struck lovers disappearing into the great wide open, Handwritten is rooted in Fallon's own experiences, lending the record a more immediate, emotional edge. Now I am no angel but I got nothing to hide, the singer rasps on the brooding grunge-noir of Too Much Blood. Can you say the same thing for yourself tonight?

It's supposed to be a letter to whoever is listening, says Fallon. Like, this is what we got beat up by and maybe you did too. There's so many things that I just never wrote about, real personal stuff that I just wasn't ready to talk about yet. Now I think being an adult I have some reflection on it. We wanted to look back on the music that we first found when we were in high school. The truth is, if you're my age, you were listening to Peal Jam and Nirvana and Soundgarden. When that music came out these were guys that we could relate to. They weren't the biggest bands in the world by accident.

And it's no accident either that with Handwritten, the Gaslight Anthem themselves sound built to take on the world. After years paying their dues in the punk rock underground, their major label debut is assuredly the work of a young band who know their time is now. And their laidback, charismatic frontman is ready. I've always been ready for arenas, Fallon smiles. I've just been waiting for them to catch up to me. I want to play Giant Stadium, I always wanted to be a major label, major league band. If I can be the kid that's on the cover of Time magazine, I'll take it. And I'll buy you a drink while I'm at it.
