    Release Date: June 29, 2018*

At 80 years old, NEA Jazz Master Charles Lloyd remains an intrepid musical pioneer, entering his ninth decade at a creative peak in what now stands as a mountainous and formidable career. With his newest band The Marvels-a guitar-driven group featuring Bill Frisell, Greg Leisz, Reuben Rogers, and Eric Harland-Lloyd released the 2016 album I Long To See You which NPR called "music that evokes an uncommon state of grace." Now on Vanished Gardens, The Marvels add a new dimension by collaborating with revered singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams to pioneer a new genre of Americana Jazz that draws on the musicians many influences and experiences with reimagined versions of Williams favorites, new Lloyd originals, and covers of Jimi Hendrix, Thelonious Monk, and more.

    The Traveling Kind

The Traveling Kind follows the longtime friends' first duet album, 2013's Old Yellow Moon, which won Best Americana Album at the 56th annual Grammy Awards as well as two awards at the 2013 Americana Music Association Honors & Awards Show, for Album of the Year and Duo/Group of the Year. The album also debuted at #4 on the Billboard's Top Country Albums chart.

Produced by Grammy Award winner Joe Henry (Billy Bragg, Elvis Costello, Aimee Mann), The Traveling Kind comprises 11 duet tracks, including six new songs written by Harris and Crowell with co-writing by Mary Carr, Cory Chisel, Will Jennings, and Larry Klein. Also featured are new renditions of previous Crowell cuts including No Memories Hanging Around as well as new interpretations of Lucinda Williams' I Just Wanted to See You So Bad and Amy Allison's Her Hair Was Red.

Of the project, Harris comments, In the words of Willie Nelson, 'The life I love is making music with my friends,' and there's no better friend for me to make music with than Rodney. I can't wait to get out there on the road with him and play the songs from this new record.

Crowell adds, Emmy and I wrote six of the eleven songs on The Traveling Kind, which was recorded in a six-day span with our Glory Band, Steuart Smith, and Billy Payne. Joe Henry was at the helm as producer and Justin Neibank did the recording. The experience was pretty much akin to falling off a log.

Down Where The Spirit Meets The Bone

Down Where The Spirit Meets The Bone is the first album in 4 years from the 3-time
Grammy Award Winning musician and features 20 new songs, with 18 written solely by
    Williams.

As expected from Williams, there are poignant intimate moments that cut to the core as
well as some of the fullest arrangements Williams has recorded. Williams challenges
herself vocally throughout the album, exploring new dynamics with her instrument and
even incorporating improvisational elements to some of her songs. There are extended
performances by an incredible list of guests that include guitarists Bill Frisell, Tony Joe
White & Stuart Mathis, keyboardist Ian McLagan (Faces) as well as Elvis Costello's
famed rhythm section of Pete Thomas (drums) and Davey Faragaher (bass). Jakob
Dylan adds harmony vocals on the beautiful "It's Gonna Rain", while Williams' longtime
rhythm section of Butch Norton (drums) and David Sutton (bass) make significant
    contributions.

At 61, Lucinda Williams is in the middle of the most prolific point of her career, with no
signs of slowing down. After 10 acclaimed studio albums, she is still evolving and pushing
    forward creatively.

She refuses to rest on her laurels. Then again, the best artists never do.

    This Sweet Old World

Three-time Grammy Award winner Lucinda Williams is set to release This Sweet Old World - a re-recording of her beloved 1992 album Sweet Old World - to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its release.

This Sweet Old World features updated interpretations of songs such as "Prove My Love", "Sidewalks of the City", "Memphis Pearl" and "Lines Around Your Eyes". Williams breathes new life into classics "Pineola", "Sweet Old World", "Something About What Happens When We Talk", "Little Angel, Little Brother" and Nick Drake's "Which Will". "He Never Got Enough Love" is transformed with additional verses, new sound and new title, "Drivin' Down A Dead End Street", which was the song's original title.

The arrangements on This Sweet Old World are tighter and rawer than the original and feature Williams' fantastic touring/studio band: guitarist Stuart Mathis, bassist David Sutton, and drummer Butch Norton. Guitarist Greg Leisz, who actually participated in the early sessions for the 1992 album, adds his masterful playing to the new recordings.

As if re-recording an entire studio album was not already an unprecedented move, Williams and company also chose to re-record the four tracks that were not included on the original release. This Sweet Old World features new versions of "Factory Blues", "Dark Side of Life", John Anderson's "Wild and Blue" and the John Leventhal/Jim Lauderdale-penned "What You Don't Know".

For the past 30 years, Lucinda Williams has channeled her perspective as a proud but vulnerable Southern female into a string of stellar albums, each of which weave Rock, Country, Folk and Blues so tightly that each of the elements seems to disappear. Lucinda Williams (1988) was her breakthrough disc, but her magnum opus, 1998's Car Wheels On A Gravel Road, sealed her reputation as a formidable singer-songwriter.

It took three torturous years to finish this alt-country masterwork, but it was worth it. Williams writes songs that explore the rootlessness of American life, with vivid imagery and gravel-guitar beauty. The album features guest appearances by Steve Earl, Emmylou Harris and Buddy Miller. Williams co-produced the album and it was mixed by Rick Rubin & Jim Scott except Metal Firecracker, which was mixed by Ray Kennedy.

The album won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Folk Album, and was Lucinda Williams' first album to go Gold. It was voted Best Album of the Year in the Village Voice Pazz & Jop critics poll. In 2003, the album was ranked number 304 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

    Delivery Man

In celebration of their 10-year Anniversary, Lost Highway Records is re-releasing twenty of their most acclaimed albums including Elvis Costello's The Delivery Man on limited edition clear vinyl.

With 2004's The Delivery Man, Elvis Costello & the Imposters' first release for Lost Highway, one of modern music's most admired and prolific talents delivered a remarkable album that draws on deep American musical roots more than any of his releases since King of America in 1986.

Recorded in Oxford, MS and produced by Dennis Herring (Modest Mouse, Counting Crows, Buddy Guy & Cracker) and Elvis Costello, it is a collection that ranges from the ferocious, bass-driven opening track, Button My Lip, which speaks in the voice of a desperate man on the verge of committing a terrible crime, to a tender and timely closing rendition of, The Scarlet Tide, referred to by Costello's co-composer and fellow Oscar Nominee, T Bone Burnett as an anti-fear song.

Like a lot of great things in music history, The Delivery Man can be said to have started with the late great Johnny Cash. The Delivery Man is actually a character imported from a song I wrote in about 1986 for Johnny Cash, Costello explains. He's based on a real character. I read this story in the paper about a man who confessed to murdering his childhood friend thirty years later, having been in prison for a number of other things. I thought this story was very interesting because he'd carried this burden of guilt of this childhood crime. I wrote a fictional version of that story in a song called 'Hidden Shame,' which John recorded.

Beyond the Imposters, longtime Attractions Pete Thomas and Steve Nieve, and more recent revelation Faragher, The Delivery Man also features winning turns from two of Costello's own favorite artists, Emmylou Harris and Lucinda Williams.

    Cayamo Sessions At Sea

Between busy touring schedules and time spent
creating and recording songs, artists rarely get the
opportunity to spend time with other musicians they
admire and respect. Occasionally, they bump into
each other in hotel lobbies, backstage dressing rooms,
or airport terminals; usually no more than a hurried
conversation passes, perhaps a quick meal together,
a wave and a nod then everyone is off to the next gig.
Ships that pass in the night.

For one week each year, this changes. Musicians and
music fans board a cruise ship together, escape the
winter cold, and sail away for a musical adventure
    called Cayamo. Once-in-a-lifetime collaborations begin
the minute the ship leaves port. From bow to stern,
port to starboard, on top deck and down below, around
every corner and in every venue you'll find musicians
who might never otherwise have a chance to meet
teaming up to play old favorite tunes or even create
    new ones.

In 2012, Cayamo veteran Buddy Miller decided to try
to capture a few of these special moments. He brought
along some recording gear and set up a studio in the
ship's library where he and co-host Jim Lauderdale
recorded episodes for their SiriusXM Outlaw Country
Buddy & Jim Radio Show. Their debut episode with
    Lucinda Williams was recorded there.

Buddy thought the radio show recordings sounded
really good so, in 2014, he brought more gear, an
engineer and some great musicians. Sixthman let him
take over the Bliss Lounge where he set up a temporary
recording studio between the lanes of the bowling
alley. For two days and nights, guest artists came to
record and fans came to watch. It was so much fun,
they did it all again in 2015.

For those fortunate enough to have experienced
Cayamo, these tracks might bring back fond memories.
For those yet to sail, consider these recordings a vacation
postcard from Buddy Miller and his talented friends and
a musical snapshot of their journey through song.

Williams' 2011 Studio Set on 2LP Includes Entire Album on CD Plus a Bonus CD of the Kitchen Tapes Demos

Americana Legend's 12th Record Produced by Don Was

Features Guest Appearances by Elvis Costello and Matthew Sweet

Following a two-year break between albums, and the blossoming of a relationship that turned into marriage, one of the great contemporary songwriters and music makers returns with her twelfth studio set. And being that the artist we're talking about is Lucinda Williams, the record is a doozy.

Diverse and captivating, Blessed opens with the gritty kiss-off Buttercup then moves seamlessly into the sultry blues of Born To Be Loved. Williams delves into a heavier subject as she questions the motives for a suicide on the hard-driving Seeing Black, which features blistering guitar from Elvis Costello. The thoughtful title track slowly builds to a melodic climax as it offers an eye-opening look at whats right in front of us, but too often unnoticed. The singer/guitarist's knack for insights and emotive songs run throughout the 12-song set.

Poignant and powerful, Soldiers Song simultaneously tells a tragic story of the soldier overseas and his wife and child back home. On the gorgeous Kiss Like Your Kiss, Williams lays down one of the most beautiful and fragile vocals she has ever recorded. The original version of the song appeared on the True Blood: Music From The HBO Original Series - Volume 2, and was recently nominated for a Grammy Award.

Its nothing new to see Williams tug at the heartstrings and stimulate the mind on her songs, but there is a vibe throughout Blessed that is unique to this album: the sound of wisdom, wherewithal, and experience Williams has gained through her more than 30 years as an uncompromising artist. Combine that pedigree with Grammy Award-winning producer Don Was, and the results are nothing but special. Was co-produced Blessed with Eric Liljestrand and Tom Overby, who co-produced Williams' highly-praised 2008 effort Little Honey.

Lost Highway's 2LP pressing of Blessed also includes the entire album on CD as well as a revealing bonus disc, titled The Kitchen Tapes, which presents the record's songs in demo form as Williams recorded them, often at her kitchen table, as she's prone to do. Complete packaging on new studio records doesn't come any better!

    The Ghosts Of Highway 20

We've all heard about the iconic vibe of Route 66, the neon lights on Broadway and the ocean air of the Pacific Coast Highway. But there are untold stories emanating from countless blue highways across the land - like Interstate 20, which cuts a 1500-mile swath from South Carolina to Texas, and cuts deep into the spirit of those who've spent their lives traversing it.

Lucinda Williams is one of those people, and with the expansive, enveloping The Ghosts of Highway 20, she brings those stories to life - and gives listeners a remarkably vivid look at how the highway has been a literal and figurative backdrop throughout her entire life. The intensely involving 14-song collection may be the most deeply felt, deeply affecting work of Lucinda Williams' illustrious 35-plus-year career, a career that has been established on a foundation of remarkably personal songs.

West Of Memphis: Voices For Justice

The avalanche of emotions experienced after seeing the highly regarded documentary West Of Memphis quickly leads to perhaps the most primal impulse of all: "Act. Do something. Do anything." It's in this spirit that West of Memphis: Voices For Justice has been created. In every instance, the artists involved have made the decision about which song they felt reected their personal feelings about the case of the West Memphis 3. There's a connection between the music and the man remaining at its center, Damien Echols. This compilation features music from Eddie Vedder, Natalie Maines, Lucinda Williams, Patti Smith and more.

The Dukes (& Duchesses)." The album is also the first to feature "The Dukes" band name since 1987's Exit 0. The Low Highway features his live band consisting of Chris Masterson, Eleanor Whitmore, Kelley Looney, Will Rigby and Allison Moorer and

    Close Ties

Rodney Crowell's new album, Close Ties, demonstrates his strengths as a songwriter and illustrates how he has learned to balance personal recollection, literary sophistication, and his profound musical reach. Close Ties is at once his most intimate record and his most accessible, the product of years of understanding the ways songs can enter-and be entered by-life. "It's a loose concept album, you could say," Crowell says. "And the concept is related to how you tell stories about yourself. Having a few years ago written a memoir, my sensibilities toward narrative-especially trying to find a common thread in different pieces of writing-had become a part of my songwriting process."

Close Ties is a roots record, in the sense that Crowell himself has deep roots that stretch back into the alternative country scene of the early seventies. The rise of Americana music has struck a nerve with Crowell. "I have declared my loyalty to Americana. It's a hard category for people to get their heads around, or at least the terminology is. But all the people who represent it-Townes van Zandt, Guy Clark, Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle and more recent stars like John Paul White and Jason Isbell-share a common thread, and that thread is poetry. Whether they are actual poets or their music exemplifies a poetic sensibility, generally speaking, the Americana artist shuns commercial compromise in favor of a singular vision. Which resonates with me." There is also a powerful undercurrent of the blues running through the record. "Recently, I think-I hope-that my study of the blues is starting to show up in my music. Those artists, whether it's Lightnin' Hopkins or John Lee Hooker or the acoustic Delta players, connected to something fundamental. With that in mind, I'm trying to move forward but also get back there."

    Mission Bell

Amos Lee has completed the recording of Mission Bell, his fourth album for EMI's Blue Note Records, and his richest and most fully formed album to date. Mission Bell, which was produced by Joey Burns of the acclaimed band Calexico, displays both range and cohesion, an array of emotions unified by Lee's eclectic taste and distinctive vocals.

With a remarkable set of guests including Lucinda Williams, Willie Nelson, Sam Beam (Iron & Wine), Priscilla Ahn, Pieta Brown, and James Gadson, and the musical backing of Calexico, the album marks the arrival of Amos Lee as a mature artist who continues to explore his musical and thematic interests.

    Remastered

Prophet started his wild ride back in 1984, when Green on Red, the
seminal purveyors of American Rock-Roots, plucked him out of
Berkeley, CA and threw him in the van for an eight-year ride, and the
recording of as many albums. Since then Prophet has recorded nine
amazing solo albums and toured and recorded with the likes of
Lucinda Williams, Aimee Mann, Cake, and Jonathan Richman, not to
mention production credits for Warren Zevon, Alejandro Escovedo
and Kelly Willis. Ryan Adams, Solomon Burke and Heart have
recorded his songs, along with a host of others. Prophet has never
been one to rest on his laurels and ride it out.
For his ninth solo album Let Freedom Ring, Chuck reached out to
some musicians and talked them into going down to Mexico City, The
Biggest City in the World (pop. 25 million). Recorded at Estudio 19, a
state-ofthe- art studio (well, circa 1958 state-of-the-art anyway) with
Greg Leisz (Beck, Wilco, Emmylou Harris) coproducing.
Within three days of arriving swine flu broke out and the indignity of
having to wear blue surgical masks just to fit in.
Over the course of the next eight days, the band set about recording
¡Let Freedom Ring!, enduring a poorly timed blackout, shakedowns
by the Policia, and a 6.4 earthquake mid-take - Mexico City might only
be 4 hours away by plane but it might as well have been on the other
side of the moon. But whilst mayhem ensued, the band buckled down
to the task in hand, all set up together in a tight little bamboo lined
room with the amps cranked. Chuck played his Fender Squire, Kelly
Stoltz on backing vocals, Rusty Miller (Jason Lyte‟s band) played
bass while Drummer Ernest Boom Carter turned his sticks into
kindling. Carter played on Springsteen‟s Born To Run - he promptly
quit the E Street Band after they spent 6 months recording it. The
results can be heard from the Clash inspired opener to the power pop
of Let Freedom Ring‟ and the Eddie Cochran infused Good Time
    Crowd‟.
