Blackout! 2With over 16 years in the business, Redman & Method Man are certifiable rap superstars with a devoted fan-base that spans the globe. The secret to their longevity as one of raps longest lasting duos is due in part to the fact that the two emcees bring fun to hip-hop. Hardly taking themselves too seriously, Red & Meth have always been about good times and carefree humor, as evidenced on their debut album Blackout! (1999) and the follow-up How High Soundtrack (2001). Their comedic personalities allowed them to transition to the big screen in the cult classic film How High (2001) as well as the small screen with the FOX sitcom Method & Red (2004). Now they're back with the sequel to their debut, Blackout 2! The album features production from Pete Rock, Erick Sermon and Rockwilda among others.1. BO2 (Intro)

Ghostface Killah is an American rapper and critically acclaimed for his loud, fast-paced flow and his colorful storytelling rap. His stage name was taken from one of the characters in the 1979 kung fu film Mystery of Chessboxing and he is the founder of his own label Starks Enterprises.
He was a prominent member of the Wu-Tang Clan and after the group achieved breakthrough success in the aftermath of Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), the members went on to pursue solo careers on which Ghostface Killah was the most successful one of the group.
The rapper started off his solo-career with Ironman in 1996, which was well received by music critics. He has continued his success over the following years with critically acclaimed albums such as Supreme Clientele (2000), Bulletproof Wallets (2001) and Fishscale (2006).
Bulletproof Wallets is the third studio album by Ghostface Killah. Its feature single, Never Be the Same Again, featured Carl Thomas and Raekwon. He had another club hit with Flowers, which featured guest vocals from fellow Wu-Tang members Method Man and Raekwon, and a popular single Ghost Showers which featured Madame Majestic, who also sung on the popular Wu-Tang track Gravel Pit.LP 1

Immobilarity is the second studio album and the follow-up to Only Built 4 Cuban Linx by Wu-Tang Clan member Raekwon (a.k.a. The Chef). Raekwon has been cited as a pioneer of Mafioso rap and is the founder of his own label ICEH20 Records.
The producers Triflyn, The Infinite Arkatechz, and Six July Productions gave Immobilarity the same sounds which producer RZA gave to Raekwon's first album with ill beats and street lyrics.
Fellow rappers from the Wu-Tang Clan also appear on the album such as Method Man on Fuck Them, Power with the American Cream Team and The Table featuring Masta Killa. As a nice bonus attribute, there's even a solid Pete Rock produced track Sneakers with Raekwon's flowing rhymes.
Raekwon explained that the album title is an acronym for I Move More Officially by Implementing Loyalty and Respect in the Youth.
The album, which was originally released in 1999, reached to number 2 in the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and number 4 on the US Billboard album charts and was certified gold by the RIAA.LP 1

Miss E...So Addictive (Pre-Order)After a long winter of discontent, So Addictive finds Missy Elliott hoping to initiate hip-hop's summer of love. Miss E's third album is dosed with feel-good flavor and has more guests than the VIP section of the hippest hip-hop hot spot. Buddies Method Man and Redman bark across the bridge of Dog in Heat's canine funk. Jay-Z and Ludacris feature on two different versions of One Minute Man's scathing soul. Synths tweak and creak in rhythm as Missy unleashes a dreamy diss of those hopeless suitors who unload their cargo before they've sparked her ignition. Take Away features Pony man Ginuwine on a hypnotic slow-burner heavily reminiscent of Art of Noise's Moments in Love.
When left to her own devices, as she is on Lick Shots (which jangles like Django Reinhardt on downers), Missy comes on like Schooly D, a fearless, female gangsta licking shots against anyone who dares cross her. On Scream a.k.a. Itchin' she breaks into a soprano. A 4/4 stomp is stamped indelibly across the ecstasy-holler song 4 My People (featuring Eve). Overall, it feels as if producer Timbaland has muted his experimental leanings on this outing with his favorite muse in favor of submersible club tracks. Musically, the bhangra beat bop of Get Ur Freak On is the standout. The spiral timing of Whatcha Gon' Do, the fret-skipping Slap! Slap Slap! (featuring Da Brat), and the sunken, drunken funk of the not-so-subtle X-hex X-Tasy are tied at a close second. -Chris Campion1. ...So Addictive (Intro)

Eleven ElevenOn Dave Alvin's new album Eleven Eleven, the man who many credit with pioneering what has come to be known as 'roots rock,' revisits the burning, guitar-centered blues-rock that initially defined his career along with his band The Blasters in the late 1970s.
After The Blasters, Alvin explored the path of American folk music, a road that led to classic albums and Grammy wins (for his album Public Domain: Songs from the Wild Land), establishing him as one of America's most distinguished songwriters and California's de facto roots music ambassador.
Fast forward to Eleven Eleven and Dave is ready to raise the stakes again, calling on some Blasters including his brother Phil, with whom he duets for the first time ever on record. The inaugurals continue with Dave writing all the songs while on the road touring, a first for the seasoned performer.
The new method clearly sparked new ideas for Alvin, with the blistering guitar runs and Bo Diddley beat of Run Conejo Run sidling up alongside the gentle finger-picking of the tremolo-soaked No Worries Mija.
Eleven Eleven also features Harlan County Line, the song featured, along with an Alvin cameo as himself, in FX original series Justified and his highest and fastest-selling digital single ever.1. Harlan County Line

Tubular Bells IIITubular Bells III is a record quite similar to Mike Oldfield's second update of the original classic, recorded just six years prior. The production methods are a bit more polished and the tone is more serious, but the music remains dreamy, somewhat overevocative new age-with-a-beat music, quite similar to Enigma -- thanks to the Eastern textures of vocalist Amar on three tracks. There are a few occasional moments of levity, however, including the raging guitar stormer Outcast and a remake of Oldfield's early-'80s hit Man in the Rain.

From Vinyl All The Way To Smart Phones - Your Music, Your Way
Class A Bewitching Tonality And Realism
Octa-DSD512 And Pcm/768KHz. Ultimate Audio And Fully Future-Proofed
Starting with the Stereo 50, the iFi Retro is a completely new range that has one objective: to include everyone who loves music regardless of age, gender or technology.
The Retro Stereo 50 is an all-in-one tube stereo system: from Bluetooth aptx (phone/pad) to High-res digital (computer) to vinyl (turntable). Everyone can bring their music and be able to connect to the Stereo 50 and produce music that simply astounds. There really is nothing like the Retro Stereo 50.
Music is in the air
Smart devices capable of Bluetooth, aptX (best mode of wireless transmission) and NFC (extreme ease) can be "wirelessly paired" to the Stereo 50. From there, it is a simple case of opening your music app, be it your music collection on your music player, Spotify or Tidal and hit play!
The aptX option offers CD-like-quality wireless audio beyond normal Bluetooth. This means the Stereo 50 is future-proofed for Smart devices for many years to come.
USB & SPDIF for streaming/computer audio
Nowadays, nearly every home is streaming, be it from the set top box, smart device or computer via SPDIF coaxial or the USB 3.0 port. Irrespective of your preferred listening method - from Spotify to J. River; connect to the Stereo 50 and enjoy your favourite tunes at a whole new level!
High-resolution audio (DSD512, PCM768kHz, 2xDXD) via USB, Coaxial and Optical are all catered for. Just connect, sit back and enjoy your music your way.
Space-age digital and classic valve technology
AMR and iFi are renowned for combining classic valve technology with state-of-the-art digital technology such as in the prestigious AMR DP-777 Digital Processor. The Stereo 50 is the latest from a long line of outstanding products. It features 4xEL84X and 2xECF82 tubes with a stunningly advanced ground-up circuit that has DNA from the best of classic amplifiers such as Telefunken, Marantz and Leak.
Running primarily in Class A, its 25W+25W is and sounds astonishingly realistic. This all means a sonic performance that reflects the superb design and implementation.
Burr-Brown brightest chipset + AMR unorthodox technology
At iFi, 'the best format' is not the focus. Rather, we care for replaying each format at the pinnacle.
The Burr-Brown DAC chip used was developed by BB Japan (as opposed to BB/TI) though the product introduction was after the merger. Being Burr-Brown's swan song chipset, it featured their ultimate converter technology and even to this day, is held in the highest esteem.
Having a chipset able to play all formats would count for little if this was not all executed natively, which means no conversion from one format to another. Using trickle-down technology from AMR (who wrote the chipset's unorthodox control software) to drive this Burr-Brown chipset means preservation of the original music format which is essential for reaching the zenith in high-end audio reproduction.
High-Resolution on PCM768/DSD512/2xDXD
Computer-audio playback is advancing at breakneck speed. The Stereo 50 on the outside exudes classic retro styling, but on the inside, is at the cutting-edge.
It is able to play all formats to the highest level:
- PCM, from 16/44kHz all the way up to 32/768kHz
- DSD up to Octa-DSD512 (22.6/24.6MHz)
- DXD, 2x to 768kHz
Not only the hyper-advanced formats/sampling rates, but the filters employed also ensure the most analogue and life-like reproduction. The Minimum Phase filter for PCM and Bit-Perfect filter for DXD/DSD ensure maximum enjoyment. These filters ensure the typical "metallic edginess" to standard digital playback is not present, leaving a smooth and organic tonality.
In-Ear & Headphone lovers in for a treat
Got headphones? The Stereo 50 with separate 3.5mm and 6.3mm inputs is just for you. Each headphone input has its own dedicated gain and sensitivity to perfectly match high-sensitivity In-Ear-Monitors and low-sensitivity Over-the-Ear headphones respectively. The 6.3mm output pumps out a "turbo-charged" 7,000mW. So even the most demanding of headphones such as the HiFi Man HE-6 has met its match.
The Stereo 50 features iFi's widely-regarded 3D Holographic for Headphones® and XBass® technologies. They have garnered a following with their mesmerizing ability to perfectly match each and every type of recording and headphone. The 3D Holographic for Headphones® technology uses pure analogue signal processing which delivers a wide open and spatially correct sound stage for headphones that places the sound field "back outside of the head" to enhance the listening experience. The XBass® technology creates the finest bass and dynamically corrects the bass response to perfectly suit the way we hear.
Vinyl oozes verve
iFi's iPhono has already become a modern classic and the Stereo 50's phono stage is set to emulate this feat. It has adjustable ultra-wide gain MM/MC from 38-62dB and its tone control system harks back to classic equalisation technology. With 6 different EQ curves (via the precision tone control), every stereophonic record is catered for. From the default RIAA through to EMI and Decca, as the legion of iPhono users can attest, once dialed-in, each and every record has "a kind of vinyl magic".
The astonishing EQ feature would count for little if the actual sonic ability of the phono stage was not executed with finesse. Well, just like the iPhono, the Stereo 50 is one of only a handful of phono stages whose noise floor is below (as opposed to above) that of the record. With its superb dynamics and resolution, the Stereo 50 comfortably plays in the big league of vinyl.
Analogue Tone, Volume and Remote Controls
Digital volume controls truncate the delicate audio signal so iFi avoids this at all costs. The Tone Controls, Volume Control (with remote control) are all of extreme high-quality. The critical analogue volume control is by Alps (Japan) motorised potentiometer (< 3dB tracking error).
Audio equipment up to four times the price do not possess a volume control as high-quality as the Stereo 50's. It is this fastidious attention to detail and highest-quality composition that sets iFi apart: in our sonic mission, we leave no stone unturned.$1,599.00Tube Amplifier Buy Now
Crime CutzThe new EP Crime Cutz is the first new original Holy Ghost! music since the NYC-based duo of Nick Millhiser and Alex Frankel released their sophomore album 2013's Dynamics.
As with most of their catalog, Crime Cutz benefits from Holy Ghost!'s insistence on tactile instrumentation with live drums recorded over the track to accelerate its tempo. The duo are quite methodical in their output--shimmering bursts of disco, synth-pop, and lingering grooves--but that doesn't mean Holy Ghost! is not prodigious.
Over nearly a decade, they have gone from being DFA's rising sons to triple threats: indefatigable DJs, producers remixing new life into the work of Cut Copy and Katy Perry alike, and inventive musicians who've released countless original singles. They're again adding to their thinking-man's dance repertoire with the vibrant Crime Cutz EP out on DFA Records.1. Crime Cutz

Walt Vincent returns to help Yorn execute his most poised and diverse set of songs yet. ArrangingTime runs the gamut from elegiac folk to wasteland blues to upbeat, synth-kissed rock. Of course, some things never change. Yorn still plays the observer, stepping into characters - or his past selves from previous years - routing wistful poems and beatific visions through the weather-beaten voice of a man who's seen a few things in his time.
"I'll look at pictures of places I went, or things I did," says Yorn, "and I think, 'Look at how great that day was and you just missed it.' I think about the past and how much of it is a blur. The title of the album is a reminder to be present and within each song is a minor lesson about that. Time only gets faster as you get older."1. Summer Was A Day

Changes (Pure Pleasure)Contemporary jazz vocalists, caught in the current trend to accelerate their careers, are often indistinguishable from the pack, the essence of their music lost in haste. With her release of "Changes", veteran singer Carmen Lundy proves that this premise does not apply to her, rising to that proverbial summit to enjoy the rarefied air of the chosen few.
Graced and gifted with a smooth, effortless voice, Lundy has been highly heralded since her landmark 2005 record, Live at the Madrid (Afrasia). Though she has done other records since, she is back with a supple encore of original compositions and novel directions. She states that she approached these songs with the guitar in mind and, accordingly, brought in premier guitarist Oscar Castro-Neves for his expertise in dealing with subtle, nuanced rhythms. Though he lays back on much of the recording, on Sleeping Alone he begins with his soft guitar sketching a distant samba. Lundy delivers the swaying tempo as only she can. They combine for another guitar/vocal duet on Where Love Surrounds Us, where the acoustic arrangement is sublime.
There is a definite retro feel to this production, which hails back to a period of authentic recording methods when musicians took their time in composing, arranging and rehearsing. Pianist Anthony Wonsey plays a vintage Fender Rhodes on So Beautiful and Too Late For Love, which features trumpet man Nolan Shaheed playing off of the vocals. The band is fully in tune under Lundy's spell and the result is stupendous.
Lundy attests that she is taking chances and making changes in her approach to songwriting and performing, and there is an underlying percussive element drifting throughout the selections. With a caressing style that blends intention with improvisation, Changes is that personal record she had within her. She has let it out for the world to hear.

About Pure Pleasure
At the beginning of the 90s, in the early days of audiophile vinyl re-releases, the situation was fairly straightforward. Companies such as DCC, Mobile Fidelity, Classic Records and, of course, Pure Pleasure all maintained a mutual, unwritten ethical code: we would only use analogue tapes to manufacture records.
During the course of the present vinyl hype, many others have jumped on the bandwagon in the hope of securing a corner of the market. Very often they are not so ethical and use every imaginable source to master from: CDs, LPs, digital files, MP3s - or employed existent tools from the 80s and 90s for manufacturing.
A digital delay is gladly used when cutting a lacquer disc because tape machines with an analogue delay have become quite rare and are therefore expensive. When cutting the lacquer, the audio signal is delayed by one LP revolution against the signal, which controls the cutter head, and for this a digital delay is very often employed. Of course, the resultant sound signal is completely digital and thus only as good as this delay.
We should like to emphasize that Pure Pleasure Records on principle only uses the original master tape as the basis for the entirely analogue cutting of lacquer discs. In addition, the pressing tool is newly manufactured as a matter of principle.
We only employ existing tools for manufacturing if an improved result is not forthcoming, e.g. the title Elvis Is Back, which was mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray, or several titles from our Philips Classics series, which in any case Willem Makkee cut from the original masters at the Emil Berliner Studios in the 90s. It goes without saying that we only used the mother and that new tools were made for our production.
To put it in a nutshell: we can ensure you that our releases are free from any kind of digital effects and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.1. The Night Is Young

This Old Dog (Out Of Stock)Before you ancients out there turn your heads and scoff at the premise of a twentysomething
rock-and-roll goofball calling himself an old-anything, consider this: Mac
DeMarco has spent the better part of his time thus far writing, recording, and releasing
an album of his own music pretty much every calendar flip.
This Old Dog makes for his fifth in just over half a decade-bringing the total to 3 LPs and 2 EPs. According
to the DMV, DeMarco is 26. But in working-dog years, ol' Mac here could easily
qualify for social security. To stay gold, turns out all he needed was some new tricks.
It was a little space-in time, location, and method-that inspired DeMarco while
making the record. Moving from his isolated Queens home to a house in Los Angeles
helped give the somewhat transient Canada-native a base, and a few more months
on his calendar to create did their job as well. Arriving in California with a grip of
demos he'd written in New York, he realized after a few months of setting up his new
shop-complete with a few new toys-that the gap was giving him perspective (insert
tooth joke here).
Right off the bat, from the pops and clicks of the CR-78 drum machine and acoustic
strums on the album-opening "My Old Man," the synth-drenched beauty of the
second track, "This Old Dog," it's clear that DeMarco's bag is filled with new tricks
indeed. This Old Dog is rooted more in a synth-base than any of his previous releases,
but he is careful not to let that tactic overshadow the other instruments and overall
"unplugged" mood of the work: "This is my acoustic album, but it's not really an acoustic
album at all. That's just what it feels like, mostly," says DeMarco.
Despite the changes considered during the creation of This Old Dog, Mac DeMarco's
mid-twenties masterpiece, it's clear that the engine that motors him is in no
danger of slowing down.1. My Old Man
