    Mono Edition

1967s Crusade finds John Mayall welcoming another soon-to-be-famous young guitarist18-year-old fretboard phenom Mick Taylor, who would soon become a key member of the Rolling Stonesto the Bluesbreakers fold. With John McVie on bass and Hughie Flint and Keef Hartley sharing drumming duties, Mayall tackles an adventurous 12-song set that encompasses several Mayall originals and Taylors instrumental showcase Snowy Wood, as well as numbers by such notables as Willie Dixon, Eddie Kirkland and Sonny Boy Williamson. I Get Evil

Albert King, the velvet bulldozer, was one third of the 'three kings of guitar' along with B.B and Freddie, although given he was 6'4' and weighed 250lbs he probably amounted to a little more. His stature as a man was reflected in his musicianship and his guitar style influenced the likes of Mick Taylor, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Derek Trucks.

180 Gram Audiophile Translucent Blue Vinyl

I've Got My Own Album To Do is the first solo album by Ron Wood, released in September 1974. An all-star project recorded outside of his activities with the Faces. Wood has said that the album title originated from contributors such as George Harrison and Mick Jagger nagging me to let them go home and finish their own projects.

During this period, Wood assisted Jagger in writing and recording the Rolling Stones' 1974 single It's Only Rock 'n Roll, while Jagger reciprocated by helping Wood with this album's opening track, I Can Feel the Fire. Keith Richards was another participant at the sessions, in addition to performing concerts in London with Wood to promote the release.

Wood's collaboration with Harrison, Far East Man, was re-recorded by Harrison and appeared on the former Beatle's Dark Horse album three months after the release of I've Got My Own Album To Do. Other musicians on the record include Rod Stewart, fellow Faces Ian McLagan and Kenney Jones, Mick Taylor of the Rolling Stones, and the all-American rhythm section of Willie Weeks and Andy Newmark.

Freddy King Gives You a Bonanza of Instrumentals

Freddie Kings second all-instrumental album, Freddy King Gives You a Bonanza of Instrumentals, originally released in 1965 on King Records Federal subsidiary, continued the artists winning streak, with such memorable King originals as Manhole, Freeway 75, Low Tide and Funnybone. The 12-song LP demonstrates once again why King was one of his generations most revered electric guitarists.

Although his career was tragically cut short by his death at the age of 42, Freddie King was one of Americas most distinctive and influential electric blues guitarists, leaving an indelible mark on more than one generation of guitar superstars, including Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan and the Rolling Stones Mick Taylor. The Texas-born axeman began playing guitar at the age of six, and in his teens moved with his family to the South Side of Chicago, where he was inspired by witnessing club gigs by such seminal electric bluesmen as Muddy Waters, Jimmy Rogers and Elmore James. Originally billed as Freddy King, he began recording in 1957, revealing a massively influential style that merged his Texas and Chicago influences, and soon achieved commercial success with a series of infectious instrumental hits.

Sundazed Musics new vinyl edition of this electric blues landmark has been sourced from the original mono master, and pressed on 180-gram vinyl. It features an exact reproduction of the original LP cover art..

Soundtrack to David Bowie's The Man Who Fell to Earth will finally be released. "Due to the recent discovery of lost master tapes," the score will be available 40 years after the film hit theaters.

40 years ago, David Bowie starred in the sci-fi cult classic The Man Who Fell to Earth, which birthed one of his greatest personas: The Thin White Duke. In commemoration of its upcoming anniversary, the film will return to theaters. The film's soundtrack will be released commercially for the very first time.

Several of the songs Bowie wrote for The Man Who Fell to Earth - including "Subterraneans" - ended up on his 1977 album, Low.

A sought-after, rare club performance from The Rolling Stones in 1971 filmed at London's iconic Marquee Club will finally see the light of day, after almost two decades of being stored away in an attic. The Rolling Stones From The Vault: The Marquee - Live in 1971 will finally be released.

This remarkable performance was filmed for US television in 1971, shortly after The Rolling Stones had completed their 1971 Farewell Tour of the UK, and a month before the release of the album Sticky Fingers. The gig marked the first time tracks 'Brown Sugar', 'Dead Flowers', 'Bitch' and the rarely performed 'I Got The Blues' were showcased live; four tracks taken from the Sticky Fingers album. The line-up at this time was Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Mick Taylor and Bill Wyman.

The show was an intimate, rare club appearance and very little footage has been released, until now. Part of the "From The Vault" series of live concerts from the band's archive, The Rolling Stones From The Vault: The Marquee - Live In 1971 is a must own DVD for any Stones fan, featuring carefully restored footage and sound mixed to perfection by Bob Clearmountain, including 5.1 surround sound.

The release of The Rolling Stones From The Vault: The Marquee - Live In 1971 coincides with the special edition of album Sticky Fingers, and includes alternative takes of 'I Got The Blues' and 'Bitch', plus a Top of the Pops performance of 'Brown Sugar' from 1971.

    Exile On Main Street

Ranked 7/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Upon its original 1972 release more than three decades ago, Exile on Main Street innovatively wove varying musical genres, instruments and even artists into a compelling rhythmic masterpiece. The 18-track double-album was recorded in various stages at multiple locations, including Olympic Studios in London, Keith Richards' mansion Nellcote in France, and in Los Angeles where the literal 'Main Street' influenced the album title. These atypical circumstances surrounding the recording process greatly affected the album's outcome which was highly reflective and influenced by the socio-political turbulence that marked the late `60s and early `70s.

The Stones nixed the influences of a flower-child era and directed their creative process with the edgier, excessive, more is more approach of the `70s. Exile reveals a sprawling mix of genres with undertones of blues, country, R&B and gospel mixed with lyrics that fervently demand for release and liberation.

The album pulled together an electric array of talent including Dr. John, the late Billy Preston, and pianist Nicky Hopkins. Guitarist Mick Taylor, who replaced Brian Jones in the band shortly before Jones died in 1969, is a magnificent blues player who brought an intensity and elegance to these epic tracks. At times, these musicians and others lived on the recording studio premises with the band creating an extremely open and creative collaboration for the album.

This summer, over 100,000 delirious fans packed into Hyde Park for two spectacular outdoor concerts to see Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood do what they do best. The Stones delivered a five star performance packed full of hits such as 'Start Me Up', 'Brown Sugar', 'Jumpin' Jack Flash', 'Miss You', 'It's Only Rock 'N' Roll', 'Gimme Shelter', 'Doom And Gloom' and 'Sympathy For The Devil', as well as one or two surprises.

Mick Jagger said: "It was a great gig It was beautiful with the sun going down over Hyde Park. I can't think of a better way celebrate the Rolling Stones' 50 than doing it on our home patch in front of 100,000 people on a glorious summer night enjoy it we certainly did."

Keith Richards commented: "Coming back to Hyde Park was like a full circle being drawn, and the band were in top form. We thought what could be more appropriate than having a great summer in London!"

From the second the Rolling Stones stepped out onto the stage each night, through to the dazzling firework and pyrotechnic display that heralded the end of the concert, fans old and new were treated to a non-stop, hit after hit performance, which took them through the Stones' huge back catalogue. Keith Richards wowed the crowds by weaving his charismatic guitar licks with Ronnie Wood's immense solos, Mick Jagger was on spectacular form, his boundless energy on stage matched by a number of stunning outfit changes, and Charlie Watts the unflappable heartbeat of the band, driving the band on through the set.

Former guitarist Mick Taylor - whose live debut with the Stones took place at the original 1969 Hyde Park concert - joined the band on stage to guest on the bluesy 'Midnight Rambler' and on closing track 'Satisfaction', whilst long-term live band members Lisa Fischer, Darryl Jones, Chuck Leavell, Bernard Fowler, Bobby Keys and Tim Ries all added their inimitable flair and finesse.

The Rolling Stones Sweet Summer Sun - Hyde Park Live is the perfect way for concert-goers to relive their favourite memories from the gigs, and for their fans to see the band back where they truly belong: live on the stage in their hometown.

The carefully put together 120 page limited edition book recounts the making of this classic Stones album with an extensive essay by Nick Kent, embellished with previously unpublished images of the band and lavishly illustrated with metallic gold ink throughout.

Sticky Fingers, one of the most revered albums in the storied catalogue of the legendary Rolling Stones, is set to enthral a new generation of admirers. The 1971 classic - which captured the band at the absolute peak of their powers, on timeless tracks such as 'Brown Sugar,' 'Wild Horses,' 'Bitch,' 'Sister Morphine' and 'Dead Flowers'.

Sticky Fingers was recorded in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Stargroves, Mick's country home and Olympic Studios in London, and produced by regular confidant Jimmy Miller, Sticky Fingers was released shortly after the Stones became exiled in the south of France, leaving Britain after a sensational farewell tour. It also featured some of the most ground breaking artwork in rock history by Andy Warhol, with its famous working zip on the front cover.

Sticky Fingers has been repeatedly hailed as one of the Stones' all-time great albums, capturing their trademark combination of swagger and tenderness in a superb collection. It continued the incredible outpouring of creative energy that had produced 1968's Beggars Banquet and Let It Bleed in 1969. After Sticky Fingers, the Stones' relocation to the south of France led to the double album masterpiece Exile On Main St. The highly acclaimed Sticky Fingers showcased the ever more inventive song writing of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, and formidable guitar licks from Mick Taylor.

The Super Deluxe edition will also house Get Yer Leeds Lungs Out!, the 13-track audio recording of the Stones' gig in Leeds in March 1971, shortly before their 'exile' in France began. The set included versions of the just-completed 'Brown Sugar,' 'Bitch' and 'Dead Flowers,' one of their many authentic forays into country music territory.

The first sessions that led to Sticky Fingers took place as far back as December 1969, in the remote location of Muscle Shoals Sound Studios, Alabama. The band then reconvened, back home in the UK both at Olympic and with the Rolling Stones Mobile parked up at Mick Jagger's Stargroves home.

On April 23, 1971, 504 days after that first session in Alabama, Sticky Fingers was released, cheered on by media and public alike. "It is the latest beautiful chapter in the continuing story of the greatest rock group in the world," wrote Rolling Stone.

    Gimme Some Neck (Speakers Corner)

'Gimme Some Neck' - words with a double meaning! Ron Wood's demand for a guitar and/or a bottle serves well to demonstrate both his lifestyle and his commitment to music. On the one side he is a rock'n'roll legend who played his way up the career ladder beginning with the Jeff Beck Group via The Faces to become a member of The Rolling Stones. On the other side we hear a man who was not adverse to the odd drink now and again, but who was a musician through and through, and whose slick hands conjured magical waves of sound on his slide guitar. This sound is brilliantly demonstrated in the opening number I Don't Worry No More, with its bluesy, earthy honky-tonk groove. It is followed by Breakin' My Heart, which gives us a glimpse of Wood's soul by means of sharp organ chords which come from a psychedelic abyss. Then he turns another corner to take us to the gentle, sensitive poetry of Delia with an unamplified guitar.

Woods presents Buried Alive and Come To Realize with powerful vocals and enough power for a stage performance, and then comes a previously unreleased song by Bob Dylan - Seven Days, in which he sounds more like Big D than D himself. But this is no cover version for Wood's personality is more than alive and kicking. Ron Wood remains Ron Wood - totally distinctive and quite inimitable.

    About Speakers Corner

At the beginning of the 90s, in the early days of audiophile vinyl re-releases, the situation was fairly straightforward. Companies such as DCC, Mobile Fidelity, Classic Records and, of course, Speakers Corner all maintained a mutual, unwritten ethical code: we would only use analogue tapes to manufacture records.

During the course of the present vinyl hype, many others have jumped on the bandwagon in the hope of securing a corner of the market. Very often they are not so ethical and use every imaginable source to master from: CDs, LPs, digital files, MP3s - or employed existant tools from the 80s and 90s for manufacturing.

A digital delay is gladly used when cutting a lacquer disc because tape machines with an analogue delay have become quite rare and are therefore expensive. When cutting the lacquer, the audio signal is delayed by one LP revolution against the signal, which controls the cutter head, and for this a digital delay is very often employed. Of course, the resultant sound signal is completely digital and thus only as good as this delay.

We should like to emphasise that Speakers Corner Records on principle only uses the original master tape as the basis for the entirely analogue cutting of lacquer discs. In addition, the pressing tool is newly manufactured as a matter of principle. We have one digital recording in our catalogue (Alan Parsons / Eye In The Sky"), but even in this particular case we used the analogue tapes for cutting.

We only employ existing tools for manufacturing if an improved result is not forthcoming, e.g. the title Elvis Is Back, which was mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray, or several titles from our Philips Classics series, which in any case Willem Makkee cut from the original masters at the Emil Berliner Studios in the 90s. It goes without saying that we only used the mother and that new tools were made for our production.

To put it in a nutshell: we can ensure you that our releases are free from any kind of digital effects - excluding the exception above - and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.

    Blue & Lonesome

Pressed On Two 180 Gram LPs And Housed In A Gatefold Sleeve

"This album is manifest testament to the purity of their love for making music, and the blues is, for the Stones, the fountainhead of everything they do."

-Don Was, Co-Producer of 'Blue & Lonesome'

The Rolling Stones are set to release 'Blue & Lonesome', their first studio album in over a decade. Recorded in just three days in London, England, 'Blue & Lonesome' takes the band back to their roots and the passion for blues music which has always been at the heart and soul of The Rolling Stones.

Their approach to the album was that it should be spontaneous and played live in the studio without overdubs. The band - Mick Jagger (vocals & harp), Keith Richards (guitar), Charlie Watts (drums), and Ronnie Wood (guitar) were joined by their long time touring sidemen Darryl Jones (bass), Chuck Leavell (keyboards) and Matt Clifford (keyboards) and, for two of the twelve tracks, by old friend Eric Clapton, who happened to be in the next studio making his own album.

'Blue & Lonesome' sees the Rolling Stones tipping their hats to their early days as a blues band when they played the music of Jimmy Reed, Willie Dixon, Eddie Taylor, Little Walter and Howlin' Wolf - artists whose songs are featured on this album.

Waiting For Columbus (Out Of Stock)

When you think about great live albums, several immediately come to mind. The Whos Live at Leeds. James Browns Live at the Apollo. The Allman Brothers Bands Live at Fillmore East. Kiss Alive! Nirvanas Unplugged. And, while it is sometimes unjustifiably forgotten, Little Feats Waiting for Columbus. The last essential album the rootsy California band made, it stands as the groups peak accomplishmenta staggering confluence of energetic performances, skilled improvisations, and thematic expansion.

Joined onstage by the Tower of Power horn section, Little Feat accentuates and remakes familiar arrangements, using the stage as a laboratory for unbridled creativity, New Orleans-spiced fun, and spontaneous interaction. Bursting with enthusiasm and excitement, Waiting for Columbus is truly a live album for the agesand one of a certain distinctive era.

The abundance of great music, the culture of drugs, and the politics of Richard Nixon, which had everyone polarized and created more of a sense of community, all contributed to this incredible feeling that somehow we were on a collective journey. Waiting for Columbus is one of the last parts of that journey, and among the last vestiges of that scene. Little Feat keyboardist Bill Payne, as told to Bud Scoppa

Amazingly, the set came together under less-than-ideal conditions. In the months leading up to the seven 1977 Washington D.C. and London concerts that were taped for the record, leader Lowell George had removed himself from the bands affairs. The chemistry was fractured, but the shows functioned as a molding agent. And did Little Feat ever respond. With every member of the sextet playing like their life depended on it, and a guest appearance by ex-Rolling Stone Mick Taylor, this is a must-have set.
