Have a question about this product? Please email our audio advisor or call 1-877-929-8729 with any questions or concerns regarding your equipment purchase.

The new Chord Mojo is entirely designed and manufactured in England. Mojo stands for 'Mobile Joy' and Chord is justifiably proud to say that Mojo is a true reference-quality mobile DAC and high-level headphone amplifier; its performance can truly rival DACs at twenty times its price.

    YOU WERE BORN FOR THIS

Its ultra-compact design is based on the Hugo platform, but Mojo uses the new Xilinx Artix-7 FPGA, making the Chord Mojo the most advanced DAC of its type on the planet! It has been designed to be easily operated: there are no confusing or superfluous switches - it is devoid of the bewildering number of switch options common to similar devices.

The Chord Mojo is capable of driving any headphone between 4 ohms and 800 ohms and can drive two pairs of headphones simultaneously. It can work with any music file from 44.1kHz up to 768kHz and DoP DSD files: DSD 64; DSD 128 and DSD 256. Mojo can decode a wide range of formats, too: PCM; WAV; AAC; AIFF; MP3 and FLAC files and is designed to work with all smartphones and music players. It has a full recall-memory for both input selection and previous volume set level.

    FULLY AUTOMATIC

Input selection is fully automatic: if more than one input is active they are prioritized as USB first, coax second, optical third. The file frequency is shown clearly by an indicator color option on the power switch, from 44.1kHz (red), 48kHz (orange) and so on, up through a rainbow of colours to bright white for DSD. The highly accurate low-distortion digital volume is controlled via two color-illuminated buttons.

Many low-cost apps now make high-resolution music files playable from all smart phones. Mojo has three different high-resolution digital inputs: optical to 192kHz, plus USB and RCA (mini-jack) which operate up to 768kHz.

    ADVANCED BATTERY TECHNOLOGY

The Chord Mojo utilizes new advanced high-temperature battery technology that allows for faster charging (four hours) which is up to twenty hours faster than competitor units. Charging is via a standard USB port; Mojo Charging is via a standard USB port; Mojo may be played at the same time. Mojo's charging Micro USB port has a battery status and charging indicator light.

Mojo's casework is machined from solid aircraft-grade aluminum and has a hard Matt black fine finish that does not finger-mark. All inputs are denoted with a fine laser ablated permanent white lettering.

Catfish Haven's Devastator is in the spirit of Kiss' Destroyer, ZZ Top's Eliminator and Lou Reed's Transformer. The bands blues-infused ballads and boozy trots possess equal amounts of backwoods authenticity and cosmopolitan flair. They may harvest most of their mojo from south of the Mason Dixon, but they bleed metropolitan with undeniable garage-grime charm and power-pop arrangements. Catfish Haven's unclassifiable, yet broad appeal, is evidenced here by DevastatorÆs in the pocket title track, the organic glitterball jam ôSet In Stoneö and the bittersweet barn burner ôFull Speed.ö

"Zomby's early work stood out for the care with
which it was created, but even given that, there's
something startlingly mature about the production here." - The Village Voice

    "wonderfully innovative, state-of-the-art urban
    electronica." - Mojo

"Zomby's achievement with Dedication is in plausibly connecting these austere sounds to underground bass music. The best DJs can do this, but
few producers even try." - Dusted

A grand triple LP that draws an arc
through dance music history, touching upon
rave, jungle, house, techno, grime, but not in a
way that feels nostalgic. it's basically 'post-everything'; a palimpsest of true experience, from
a producer who has absorbed by osmosis dance's
shifting textures and plains, and reconfigured
them into a definitive, sprawling love letter to
the soulful dance music of his past.

    Ice On The Dune

It's exactly what electronic pop should sound like in 2013. Fresh, euphoric, youthful...it more than delivers on the promise of 2008 s million-selling debut Walking On A Dream and the fantastical imagery that made them a festival highlight wherever Steele strapped on his head-dress, said Q, awarding the album four stars in a lead review. MOJO noted, you can t help but be charmed by their puckish, wide-eyed enthusiasm for the redemptive power of pop. Nearly every track is powered by a room-rattling disco groove, observed Uncut, scoring it 8/10. But what makes DNA , Alive , Concert Pitch and the title song so irresistible is the way their silky melodies resolve into super-saturated Technicolor chorus hooks.

There's no backing off or backing down on Swimmin' Time, the duo's highly anticipated sophomore set as Shovels & Rope, an album that brims with the confidence, energy and sinew of
a band that's accustomed to treating their career as a marathon, rather than a sprint. The
album, recorded at the studio Michael Trent constructed in the couple's home, finds them
cutting a new path through the sonic thickets they navigated so nimbly on their breakthrough
bow, O' Be Joyful - a disc that won rave reviews from outlets like Mojo (which called it
"thrilling") and Filter, which said "[they] were solid singer-songwriters on their own, but

    Live At The Avant Garde

Before Magic Sam scored with 1967's West Side Soul (DMK 615) his recorded legacy included a handful of sides for Cobra in the late '50s, Chief in the early '60s and a few miscellaneous 45s in the mid-'60s. But just when it looked like things were going to really take off for Sam he passed away on December 1, 1969 at the age of 32. Delmark issued 1968's Black Magic (DMK 620) and there have been several posthumous releases of live recordings including the classic Live (DMK 645). This album comes from a June 22, 1968 live concert recorded at the Avant Garde in Milwaukee. It features Magic Sam, vocals, guitar; Big Mojo Elem, bass and Bob Richey, drums. Over 65 minutes.

    Heartbreak Pass, by seminal alt-country/
rock band Giant Sand marks their 30th anniversary. Individually,
each track on the record looms large on its own but, when
heard as one complete offering, you know that you are listening

predominate theme and source of inspiration for Howe Gelb, the
indie rock pioneer and frontman for Giant Sand. The group can
also be looked at as Howe's one-man-band with many guests and

Featuring two of Cream's best-known songs, 'Strange Brew' and 'Sunshine Of Your Love', according to Q magazine, the second album from the original super-group of Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker "was a huge, Top 5 success on both sides of the Atlantic, transforming the shape of rock music, which still draws deeply on its power-trio innovations". Moving away from their blues roots to a more psychedelic sound typical of the times, Mojo magazine reckoned, "with its perfect Martin Sharp sleeve and disciplined performances, Disraeli Gears was always Cream's best record. It remains so." Sharp also contributed lyrics to one of the album's other classics, 'Tales Of Brave Ulysses'. Recorded in New York, 'Disraeli Gears' was Cream's breakthrough in America, cementing their superstar status.

    Mystery White Boy (Pre-Order)

Mystery White Boy, culled from Jeff Buckley's eight-month world tour of the same name, is not just another live album blighted by whoops and catcalls. Such was the reverence granted the ill-starred singer-songwriter's electrifying confessionals that hardly a whimper issues from the audience in 78 minutes--not, at least, until each gargantuan heart-and-soul epic ends. Buckley treated music like it was Shakespearean tragedy, and that grandiosity makes the live Grace and Mojo Pin at least the equal of their recorded counterparts. The gems, though, are the cover versions found here--especially a closing nine-minute rendition of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah that lurches into a whispered chorus of the Smiths' I Know It's Over. Ultimately, this posthumous collection is utterly captivating. --Louis Pattison

"X-Ray Clear" Vinyl Pressing Offering Superior Fidelity

The One And Only LP Release From X-Ray Spex And Its Irrepressible Frontwoman Poly Styrene, Germfree Adolescents Is One Of The Signature Albums Of The Early (1978) British Punk Movement

Deemed By Everybody From Greil Marcus To Robert Christgau To Spin To Mojo As One Of The Greatest Punk Albums Ever Made

Real Gone's Vinyl Reissue Reproduces The Inner Lyric Sheet Offering Poly's Brilliant Observations About The Plastic, Corporate Nature Of Modern Society

Real Gone Music is proud to present Germfree Adolescents,
one of the signature albums of the early (1978) British
punk movement, in an "x-ray clear" vinyl edition that serves
as an ideal prism through which to see the hypocrisy of
consumerist culture. The one and only LP release from X
Ray Spex and its irrepressible frontwoman Poly Styrene
has been deemed by everybody from Greil Marcus to
Robert Christgau to Spin to Mojo as one of the greatest
    punk albums ever made, and for this reissue, we've done it right;
besides the clear vinyl (offering excellent sound), we've reproduced the inner lyric sheet, where
you can read Poly's brilliant observations about the plastic, corporate nature of modern
society. All of which she sings in a passionate yowl all her own (with Lora Logic among others
backing on saxophone); this is not only one of the most penetratingly observant punk records,
it's also one of the most passionate, and, surprisingly enough, catchy. Check out "The Day the
World Turned Day-Glo" and "Germ Free Adolescents" if it's hooks you're after; if it's righteous
anger and a noisy racket you're seeking, every track will do ya.

    Bitch Magnet

Temporary Residence Ltd. is proud to present the remastered and repackaged reissue of the legendary Bitch Magnet's seminal and critically acclaimed three albums - Star Booty, Umber, and Ben Hur. The deluxe 3xLP package includes all three albums, plus more than a half dozen rare and previously unreleased tracks, a total of 34 songs, remastered from the original, restored analog master tapes. Bitch Magnet was formed at Oberlin College in 1986. Immediately following the release of its debut Star Booty in 1988, the band garnered rapturous reviews and established itself among the top-tier of America's independent music underground.

The band's reputation continued to grow with tours of the US and Europe, and the subsequent releases of Umber (prominently included by Mojo on its list of Lost Albums You Must Own) in 1989 and Ben Hur in 1990. The latter two have been frequently cited as a key inspiration for what would become known as post-rock, a term that baffled and amused the members of Bitch Magnet when it first surfaced, and still does today. Along with their contemporaries in Slint, in the years following their breakup, Bitch Magnet has been recognized as a significant influence on generations of aggressive and musically complex bands, including Don Caballero, Mogwai, Rodan, June of 44 and Battles.

    Choice of Weapon (Awaiting Repress)

The Cult's newest album Choice of Weapon is the follow up to the critically-acclaimed 2007 release Born Into This which Mojo magazine called "a wholehearted, utopian and irrefutably exciting record." Long-time Cult collaborator and producer Bob Rock (Metallica, Bush), who produced one of the band's most successful albums in the platinum-certified Sonic Temple, put the finishing touches on the foundations that were laid by co-producer Chris Goss (Queens of the Stone Age, U.N.K.L.E., Masters of Reality).

The record was written by Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy, recorded in New York City, Los Angeles, the California high desert, and the band's Witch Mountain studios in the Hollywood Hills between July and December of 2011. The new release features founding members Astbury on vocals and Duffy on guitars, with drummer John Tempesta and bassist Chris Wyse. "We have had the opportunity to work with two of the most influential and talented producers in the world today," said Astbury. "They pushed us beyond our comfort zone, and helped us craft Choice of Weapon.'"

The album is aimed at the heart of The Cult's loyal following. It reflects the current discontent and destruction of our eco systems, the search for individual meaning against a tide of rampant materialism, narcissism and disconnected lives. "We went deeper, we worked a bit harder on this record. We have great fans and they deserve our best," added Duffy, "and I feel this is one of our best records, maybe the best."
