Mother Love Bone'
Blind Melon is the eponymous debut album by acclaimed Rock band Blind Melon, released in 1992, featuring breakthrough single "No Rain". Fronted by singer Shannon Hoon (who can be heard doing backing vocals on Guns N Roses' Use Your Illusion I and II)
Blind Melon had a distinctive sound, influenced by Southern Rock and Psychedelic Rock.
Songs like "Soak The Sin" and "Tones Of Home" evoke Hard Rock with a funky sound; "Time" resembles Grateful Dead-style improvisational music and acoustic songs like "Change" and "No Rain" hinted at Pop and Folk influences. The band recorded the bulk of the album with producer Rick Parashar (who had produced Pearl Jam's Ten) at London Bridge Studio in Seattle, Washington.
Blind Melon's production is marked by the use of outdated amplifiers and other antiquated studio technology. Modern studio effects were not used in its production as the band wanted to create a pure and intimate sounding record.1. Soak The Sin

Includes Liner Notes And A Track-By-Track Description Of The Album's Music Written Especially For This Collection By Cameron Crowe, The Screenwriter And Director Of "Singles"
Epic Soundtrax and Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Cameron Crowe's groundbreaking romantic comedy, "Singles," with the release of a newly expanded and remastered edition of the Singles: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack album.
The 2xLP edition features the album's original 13 tracks newly mastered and freshly pressed across four sides of collectible 12 vinyl. The bonus CD of rarities and unreleased tracks is included as a special insert in the 2xLP 12 vinyl package.
The newly released bonus CD features previously unreleased recordings by Chris Cornell, Mike McCready, Mudhoney, and Paul Westerberg in addition to rarities such as Cornell's 1992 EP Poncier (debuting an early rendition of "Spoonman") and tracks from the film not included on the best-selling soundtrack album first released on June 30, 1992. The success of "Singles" helped establish a then-emerging new generation of rock artists-including 2017 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains and Soundgarden-as musical forces to be reckoned with.
The expanded edition of the "Singles" soundtrack includes, for the first time on CD, "Touch Me I'm Dick," the signature track from "Singles" performed by Citizen Dick (a fictional band created for the film featuring frontman Matt Dillon backed by Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament).
The new Epic Soundtrax/Legacy Recordings edition of the Singles: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack includes liner notes-and a track-by-track description of the album's music-written for especially for this collection by Cameron Crowe, the screenwriter and director of "Singles." The newly expanded edition of the film's soundtrack is produced by Danny Bramson and Cameron Crowe and mastered by Mike Piacentini at Battery Studios, New York.
Set in Seattle at the beginning of the 1990s, Crowe's film featured music by relatively obscure (at that time) bands like Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains and Soundgarden, providing an introduction to an emerging grunge rock music scene for a welcoming mainstream audience. The film became a cult classic while the soundtrack achieved RIAA double platinum status in the US.
A romantic comedy capturing the zeitgeist of an era, "Singles" helped define the look, sound, attitude and style of Generation X with a fresh-faced ensemble cast featuring Bridget Fonda, Campbell Scott, Kyra Sedgwick, Matt Dillon, Bill Pullman, Sheila Kelly, Jim True-Frost, James LeGros, Ally Walker, Jeremy Piven, Eric Stoltz, Tim Burton and more.
Crowe's groundbreaking film chronicling the lives of Seattle's twentysomethings touched a nerve in the culture while the movie's best-selling soundtrack-with tracks from new artists and classic rockers-provided a critical overview of the roots of grunge and the essential contributions of Seattle rock. Alongside new songs like Alice In Chains' "Would?" and Pearl Jam's "Breath" and "State of Love and Trust" stood the Jimi Hendrix Experience's "May This Be Love" and a breathtaking cover of Led Zeppelin's "The Battle of Evermore" performed by The Lovemongers (a musical side project created by Heart's Ann Wilson and Nancy Wilson).
The first edition of the Singles: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack was originally released on June 30, 1992 and became a chart-topping best-seller three months prior to the theatrical release of the film. The soundtrack included music from key bands from the Seattle music scene-including Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden-while Paul Westerberg, in his first solo recordings outside The Replacements-contributed two songs and provided the score for the film. Smashing Pumpkins were also featured on the soundtrack with the song "Drown."
"The album itself was always designed to be sort of an anti-soundtrack, more like a souvenir and a simple mix-tape of some of Seattle's finest," said Cameron Crowe. "It really is and was a tribute to those hard-working bands that welcomed me to their city with open arms, and the music so many still love so much. Anyway, here we are now revisiting 'Singles,' the film, as well as the soundtrack you hold in your hands, expanded with a special tip of the hat to the fans of the original release. Included are unreleased and raw elements that helped shape the experience of making the movie back in 1991. Hope you enjoy the trip back as much as I did - Viva Seattle!"
25 years ago, the film "Singles" and its soundtrack worked together to bring the underground Seattle music scene to the forefront of mainstream consciousness. The album was among the first top-selling movie soundtracks of the 1990s to showcase new material from emerging contemporary bands. The expanded edition of Singles: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is cause to celebrate anew the radical rock sounds that radiated out of the American Northwest a quarter century ago and changed pop music forever.LP 1

AbovePearl Jam + Alice In Chains + Screaming Trees = Mad Season. Includes 3 songs from mythical unfinished second album with NEWLY RECORDED vocals by Mark Lanegan.
Previously unreleased instrumental Interlude, Remixed version of John Lennon cover I Don't Wanna Be A Soldier, 180 Gram, 2LP gatefold
Think of the one-shot Seattle supergroup Mad Season as the grunge version of sober living. Guitarist Mike McCready, best known as the main six-string slinger in Pearl Jam, met bassist John Baker Saunders while in rehab, and the two paired with Screaming Trees' drummer Barrett Martin and Alice in Chains vocalist Layne Staley, partially in hopes of steering the singer onto the path of the straight and narrow. Ultimately, the plan didn't pan out, but for a brief while, the quartet -- who adopted the name Mad Season -- did have their moment of clarity, captured on the 1995 album Above. There was a single issued to modern rock radio -- River of Deceit -- but this record downplayed easy hooks and melody in favor of churning introspection and slow vamps that occasionally flirt with blues (the never-ending 12-bar Artificial Red, balanced by the distorto riffs of I Don't Everything), but usually conjure nothing more than the dank sludge of Seattle. Mad Season aren't quite mired in the darkest areas of grunge -- they're clever enough to let a saxophonist lend color to Long Gone Day -- but the lack of melodicism is a bit of a drag over the long haul, turning Above into a bit of heavy mood music. In a sense, it's the id of Seattle run rampant: all the bands involved, outside of Saunders' Walkabouts and Martin's Trees (who were nevertheless considerably more popular than Saunders' group), enjoyed commercial success in 1995, so they could have gotten away with anything and, in a sense, they did, as a major-label actually released this turgid bit of soul-baring heavy rock. McCready gets plenty of room for his elliptical guitar, the players has space to dig into their minor-key vamps, Staley essays his only set of completely original lyrics, but the whole thing feels kind of inert and indulgent, which may be appropriate for a band treating rock & roll as therapy.

Screaming Trees is considered to be one of the Godfathers of Grunge. Although they were one of the best 'Seattle-bands' of the early nineties, they never achieved the commercial success of bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains.
Founded in 1985, the band had to wait till 1992 for their biggest commercial success, the release of 'Sweet Oblivion'. 'Dust' is their seventh and final album originally released in 1996. In contrast to the group's previous recordings that were more influenced by psychedelic rock and punk, 'Dust' is equally influenced by folk and blues, while still retaining a harder-edged sound. After this album The Screaming Trees disbanded.
Lead singer Mark Lanegan started a very successful solo career, working with the likes of Queens of the Stone Age, Greg Dulli (Afghan Wigs), Isobel Campbell (Belle & Sebastian) and UNKLE.Side 1

TenRanked 207/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
Ten, the debut album that sold 12 million copies and introduced the world to Pearl Jam in 1991, is now being reissued in four new and expanded editions. The reissue of Ten serves as the launch of a planned two-year catalog re-release campaign leading up to the bands 20th anniversary in 2011.
This edition of Ten is packaged on two vinyl LPs and includes two versions of the album: the remastered version of the original album plus an accompanying remixed version done by the bands long-time producer, Brendan OBrien (Bruce Springsteen, AC/DC, Audioslave).
The band loved the original mix of Ten, but were also interested in what it would sound like if I were to deconstruct and remix it, says producer Brendan OBrien. The original Ten sound is what millions of people bought, dug and loved, so I was initially hesitant to mess around with that. After years of persistent nudging from the band, I was able to wrap my head around the idea of offering it as a companion piece to the original, giving a fresh take on it, a more direct sound.
Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament, who served as the art director for the original Ten packaging, reprised his role for the reissues collaborating with designer, Andy Fischer, of Cameron Crowes Vinyl Films (Into the Wild soundtrack LP, Vanilla Sky soundtrack LP, Harold and Maude anniversary edition soundtrack LP). The goal was to assemble the ultimate fan-piece, explains Fischer. Something Pearl Jam lovers could pore over as they experience an indelible record all over again, in an entirely new way.
Pearl Jam originally released Ten on August 27, 1991. The album reached #2 on the Billboard 200 chart, sold over 12 million copies and became one of the cultural touchstones of the '90s. Songs such as Alive, Black, Even Flow and Jeremy became staples of rock radio, and still make frequent appearances on the bands ever-changing concert setlists. The album was produced by Rick Parasher. Pearl Jams 1991 lineup was Jeff Ament (bass), Stone Gossard (guitar), Dave Krusen (drums), Mike McCready (guitar) and Eddie Vedder (vocals).LP 1: Original Ten Tracklisting Remastered for Vinyl

Higher TruthMulti-Grammy Award winning, Golden Globe nominated and acclaimed singer songwriter Chris Cornell has just
released a new solo studio album, 'Higher Truth.' Produced by Brendan O'Brien (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam,
Neil Young) the album will now be available on 180-gram vinyl on 2 LPs, housed in a gatefold jacket with foil stamping. The single, 'Higher Truth' has been the most added song at Modern Rock radio 3 weeks in a row!
Chris Cornell possess an easy, quiet confidence throughout this handsome, burnished record, an album that occasionally recalls the breaking twilight of Euphoria Mourning but feels warmer and looser than that 1999 solo debut. O'Brien favors subtle shading over bombast, so even when the tracks are built up with pianos, strings, harmonies, and fuzz guitars, it feels intimate, almost acoustic. This illusion persists because there are a fair share of spare, delicate solo numbers here, interwoven among those bolder but still quiet pop tunes. While Higher Truth never seems as self-consciously confessional as Euphoria Mourning, this mellow simplicity is an attribute: a relaxed Cornell creates a comforting mood piece that's enveloping in its warmth.1. Superfuzz Bigmuff EPRock & roll got a badly needed revitalizing overhaul with Seattle's grunge explosion of the late 1980's, and Mudhoney was there to make sure it got done right. Although nearly eclipsed by the success of such bands as Nirvana and Pearl Jam, Mudhoney was arguably the most important grunge band of all. Their Touch Me I'm Sick defined a generation of disenchanted middle-class malcontents bored stiff by the predictable mire that rock & roll had become.
Superfuzz Bigmuff compiles the band's rare early singles in one convenient package. Twelve essential tracks here, and they all rock mightily. When Pearl Jam released their debut album Ten in 1991, it heralded a new era for alternative music in the US mainstream. The band toured extensively in support of the album, and on March 28, 1992, they played the Cabaret Metro in Chicago - a performance that provides insight into a band on the verge of global superstardom and displaying a confidence and ability that suggests they knew exactly where they are headed. Lightning BoltPearl Jam will release their much-anticipated tenth studio album, Lightning Bolt, on Monkeywrench Records/Republic Records in the US. Produced by Brendan O'Brien, Lightning Bolt marks Pearl Jam's first studio album since the highly acclaimed Backspacer, which was released nearly four years ago in September of 2009.
... Eyeing the milestone of 50, Vedder is very comfortable in his skin: he's no longer raging against the dying light or tilting at windmills, he's choosing his battles, knowing when to lie back so he can enjoy the rush of rock pushed out from his familiar, but never lazy, colleagues. This unhurriedness may seem to run counter to the rebellious spirit of rock & roll, but for all their insurrectionist acts, Pearl Jam weren't upstarts: they eagerly accepted the torch of arena rock when it was handed to them. On Lightning Bolt, they've grown into that classic rock mantle, accentuating the big riffs and bigger emotions, crafting songs without a worry as to whether they're hip or not and, most importantly, enjoying the deep-rooted, nervy arena rock that is uniquely their own.

Pearl JamRemastered (Remixed By Brendan O'Brien) Reissue Of Pearl Jam Also Known As Avocado
Pearl Jam (sometimes referred to as The Avocado Album or simply Avocado) is the eighth studio album by American alternative rock band Pearl Jam, originally released on May 2, 2006, on J Records. It was the first and only release for J Records, their last album issued by Sony Music. It was the band's first full-length studio release in almost four years, since Riot Act (2002). Following their performances at the Vote For Change tour in 2004, the band commenced work on Pearl Jam in November 2004 at Studio X in Seattle, Washington and finished in February 2006.
The music on the record was proclaimed as a return to the band's roots, with an emphasis on up-tempo songs with an aggressive sound. The song lyrics are mostly told from the point of view of characters and deal with the socio-political issues in the United States at the period, such as the War on Terror.LP 1
