Music and emotion share a timeless physiological, psychological, and spiritual bond. A chord, a melody, or a lyric can lift spirits and inspire. Movements achieve that sort of reaction on their full-length debut, Feel Something [Fearless Records]. Throughout nonstop touring, the band started working on what would become Feel Something before returning to the studio with Will Yip (Anthony Green, Balance And Composure, Circa Survive) in February 2017. In the sessions, their signature style crystallized and coalesced. Bolstered by intricate instrumentation and explosive vocal delivery, these 11 tracks signify the musicians' evolution and bring emotion to life in each note.

Four years without new music can be a death sentence for any artist, and when an absence like that follows the release of a debut album, circumstances can get dire. But few acts are able to amass a cult following as rapidly as South Carolina-based indie rock outfit All Get Out did with 2011's The Season, a full-length record that has proven to have near-infinite replayability.

"I needed a break,"songwriter and vocalist Nathan Hussey says.I needed to regroup and really think about where I was, what I was doing, and how I was doing it. Finally, the band is back in action in 2015, and is ready to share a brand-new EP, Movement, via Favorite Gentlemen Recordings and Bad Timing Records.

"The EP goes in a direction that feels natural for All Get Out," Hussey explains. It's heavier, and it's kind of a sister to our last release in its rawness. The Season is neatly put together, and Movement is a little sloppy, a little less intentional. The main concept here, of course, is movement. It's how you know things are still alive. Movement isn't a reintroduction or regeneration - it's a reaffirmation. It's a torrent of spirit at its most raw moments, an unabashed exorcism of the things that keep us awake at night in the pursuit of a life with deserved purpose. Continuing to gravitate toward the unoccupied spaces between indie and rock, All Get Out's return to the spotlight presents an opportunity for listeners to fall in love all over again with one of the most dynamic groups in this genre.

Recorded live in concert on July 9, 2007, Gossip - Live In Liverpool brilliantly captures and brings into focus the stunning ferocity, energy and intensity at the heart of the band's groundbreaking meld of sound and politics. This incendiary concert showcase breaks out definitive performances of Gossip's signature tunes including the band's UK #1 Indie chart-topping smash, Standing In The Way Of Control; the UK Top 40 hit, Listen Up; and the #3 UK Indie track, Jealous Girls in addition to delightfully provocative covers of Wham!'s Careless Whisper and Aaliyah's Are You That Somebody?

Gossip - Live In Liverpool includes a DVD-V of the concert, lensed by documentary filmmaker and music video director Lance Bangs (Sonic Youth, Green Day, R.E.M., Death Cab For Cutie, Kanye West, Pavement, Mike Watt and more). Also includes a limited edition 18 x 24 poster.

Gossip released its first full-length collection of songs, That's Not What I Heard, in January of 2001 and its successor, Arkansas Heat, in 2002 after touring with the White Stripes and Sleater-Kinney. Gossip reached a threshold of transcendence with its last studio collection, 2006's Standing In The Way Of Control, which shot to #1 on the UK indie albums chart. The album's title track became a UK hit in its own right after becoming the unofficial theme music for the popular British television teen drama, Skins. Standing In The Way Of Control charted on Billboard's European Top 100 Albums and European Hot 100 Singles charts. The single has sold more than 150,000 copies in the UK.

    Twin-Hand Movement

Twin-Hand Movement is Lower Dens' brilliant 2010 debut album! It is eleven perfect songs long. Filled with swarming guitar fuzz, bass waves, insistent drum throbs and Jana Hunter's charred voice. The album truly reflects the musicians and the city they call home, Baltimore, to the core: survivalist paranoia and rolling waves of droning rhythm crafted together methodically and beautifully into proud, catchy, weirdo anthems.

Fifty years ago, as a guest with John Coltrane's group, Jack DeJohnette played with the fathers of Ravi Coltrane
and Matthew Garrison. But for all the wealth of historical reference, this adventurous trio is a band in movement,
taking the music forward. Ravi Coltrane and Matt Garrison, in their ECM debuts, both respond magnificently to
DeJohnette's driving drumming, Ravi with superb solos, Garrison with lean bass lines and imaginative looping

    Swiss Movement (Speakers Corner)

Les McCann had already been playing his way through the clubs and record studios on the US west coast for ten years when his appearance on 21 June 1969 at the relatively new and jazz-soaked festival in Montreux on Lake Geneva changed all that. There, he celebrated his greatest musical success, his number one hit. Half ironically, but proudly in later concerts, when the piano stool could hardly bear him due to his size and weight, he stressed that Swiss Movement had supported him, his wife, children and grandchildren.

Compared To What is a catchy melody that is heard on the radio, again and again, all around the world, today, tomorrow and the day after It is unmistakable, still groovy, full of soul, humorous, stirring. And Cold Duck Time is no way inferior: Eddie Harris blows for all he is worth. Everyone can hear that Benny Bailey was challenged by the unknown themes, but this maestro still managed to capture the audience's ear and attention.

Swiss Movement is, and will remain forever, a highlight among all the jazz LPs that have been recorded live and it shouldn't be missing from any collector's shelf. Along with Benny Goodman's Carnegie Hall Concert from 1938, Charlie Parker & Co.'s Massey Hall concert from 1953, and Ella Fitzgerald's Berlin concert from 1960 - and very few others

    About Speakers Corner

At the beginning of the 90s, in the early days of audiophile vinyl re-releases, the situation was fairly straightforward. Companies such as DCC, Mobile Fidelity, Classic Records and, of course, Speakers Corner all maintained a mutual, unwritten ethical code: we would only use analogue tapes to manufacture records.

During the course of the present vinyl hype, many others have jumped on the bandwagon in the hope of securing a corner of the market. Very often they are not so ethical and use every imaginable source to master from: CDs, LPs, digital files, MP3s - or employed existant tools from the 80s and 90s for manufacturing.

A digital delay is gladly used when cutting a lacquer disc because tape machines with an analogue delay have become quite rare and are therefore expensive. When cutting the lacquer, the audio signal is delayed by one LP revolution against the signal, which controls the cutter head, and for this a digital delay is very often employed. Of course, the resultant sound signal is completely digital and thus only as good as this delay.

We should like to emphasise that Speakers Corner Records on principle only uses the original master tape as the basis for the entirely analogue cutting of lacquer discs. In addition, the pressing tool is newly manufactured as a matter of principle. We have one digital recording in our catalogue (Alan Parsons / Eye In The Sky"), but even in this particular case we used the analogue tapes for cutting.

We only employ existing tools for manufacturing if an improved result is not forthcoming, e.g. the title Elvis Is Back, which was mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray, or several titles from our Philips Classics series, which in any case Willem Makkee cut from the original masters at the Emil Berliner Studios in the 90s. It goes without saying that we only used the mother and that new tools were made for our production.

To put it in a nutshell: we can ensure you that our releases are free from any kind of digital effects - excluding the exception above - and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.

An All-Time Audiophile Spectacular That Sounds Better Than Ever

The Most Definitive Version of Compared to What Ever Recorded

Amazing Sound + Amazing Performances = An Amazing LP

Pianist/vocalist Les McCann has a somewhat undeserved reputation for recording faddish albums. The reason being? He never topped this brilliant, 1969 soul-jazz masterpiece, which remains a must for every music fan on the planet.

This impromptu session at the 1969 Montreux Jazz Festival finds tenor saxophonist Eddie Harris and trumpeter Benny Bailey joining McCann's working trio that included Leroy Vinnegar on bass and Donald Dean on drums, turning in the most definitive version of Compared to What ever recorded as well as four other tracks steeped in funk, joy, and cool persuasion.

One of the most popular live soul/jazz albums of all time, now in much-improved fidelity thanks to Bernie Grundman's mastering from the original master tapes. An audiophile delight!

    The Montgomery Movement

Funk's answer to the Five Blind Boys of Alabama,
Florida's Montgomery Express stood at the crossroads
of politically conscious soul and mystically awakened
dance music. Comprised of two blind musicians in
their 20s and a teenage rhythm section, their lone LP
was cut in 1972 for Orlando's Dove label, then reissued
on Folkways two years later. Although the label usually
steered clear of soul music and anything remotely
commercial sounding, Montgomery Express tapped into
    Folkways' Guthrie-cum-Chamber Bros. nerve.

"My whole life, I heard music in the air, beautiful music.

    All Together (Discontinued)

Following their first three records, endless shows and tours and the transition from five-to-four-to-three-to-two members, Pattern Is Movement turned themselves inside out and made the record we've all been waiting for: All Together.

Andrew Thiboldeaux and Chris Ward embody Pattern is Movement and the music that's been a long time building, rising out of the ether of evangelical childhoods, best friendship and life in Philadelphia. The two met at the ages of 13 and 14 as part of a Christian hip hop group. Raised in strict Pentecostal households and schools, both Andrew and Chris found refuge in their shared love of music and a friendship born out of secular escape turned into a creative collaboration. In high school, hand-me-down church sound equipment and a weekend obsession with making and recording music provided the means for what became Pattern is Movement.

All Together continues the mysterious narrative of the band and it exalts their existence as a two-man wall of sound. In the studio, a range of guest instruments embellish the core magic of Andrew's vocals and keys and Chris' drums. All Together embraces the band's experienced and obsessive recording techniques, yet it holds on to that unmistakable dynamism of their live performance.

Furthering the new album's lore is its song-by-song relationship to a series of old photographs. Found by Andrew's brother on the street in Philly, ten tiny early 20th century images formed Pattern is Movement's own set of oblique strategies. Each photo abstractly inspired a song and its final form on the record, with Andrew and Chris even referring to the pictures during tracking. The record's name also arose from the connotation of this found collection: though essentially disparate, weʼre ultimately all together in our experience. This new vinyl LP version of All Together features unreleased content on a digital download of the album that comes with the LP.

    Low Symphony

    Deluxe PVC Sleeve

Available On Vinyl For The First Time

Low Symphony, composed by Philip Glass in the spring of 1992, is based on the record Low by David Bowie and Brian Eno, first released in 1977. Glass took themes from three of the instrumentals on the original and, combining them with his own material, used them as the basis of three movements of the Low Symphony. Movement One comes from Subterraneans, Movement Two from Some Are, which was not featured on Bowie's original recording, and Movement Three from Warszawa.

The Low Symphony was performed by the Brooklyn Philharmonic orchestra under the batons of Dennis Russell Davies, principal conductor, and Karen Kamensek, assistant conductor. Philip Glass allowed ideas of Bowie and Brian Eno, who worked together on Low, to influence how he worked on the music, leading to surprising musical conclusions and becoming a real collaboration between the music of all three maestros. This is the first ever vinyl issue of Low Symphony!

200-Gram Vinyl Plated And Pressed At Quality Record Pressings

Mastered By Kevin Gray At Cohearent Audio

Stereophile's Recording of the Month For February 1984

Imagine, if you can, a private recital in your own home by two consummate artists who play these works for their own delight as much as for yours. Imagine sound so completely and disarmingly natural that after 30 seconds you're unaware it's reproduced. That's what this record is all about. - Stereophile, February 1984

David Abel, violin, Julie Steinberg, piano. This composition occupies a special place among Beethoven's creations because it shows a unique quality: there is an Olympian elegance, a profound gentleness that pervades the entire work. Nowhere does Beethoven the earth shaker appear. Even the scherzo movement does not disturb this sustained thoughtfulness.

Violin and piano begin trading short thematic statements in quick exchange from the first notes of the first movement. Parallel arpeggios create a growing intensity. The middle section of the movement is characterized by abrupt modulations and an increased pace of exchanges. A striking procedure is the use of a seemingly interminable trill, nearly heartstopping in its intensity.

The second movement, Adagio expressivo, one of Beethoven's floating Adagios, is based on the compulsion of a slow intense bass movement. The serenity of this movement is not disturbed by elaborate decoration from both instruments. And this stillness is further emphasized by a fourteen measure repeating pedal point (nearly one fifth of the movement) which closes it. The Scherzo sustains the serious character of the entire work. The last movement begins not only with a quick alternation of themes between the violin and piano, but a soft and loud alternation, as well, which adds to the feeling of growing intensity. An interrupted rondo is the plan, but the interruptions are of a major kind: another sensuous adagio and a daring fugato lead to a presto outburst concluding the movement.

David Wilson had already recorded piano by the time he began working with world-class musicians Steinberg and Abel in the Mills College Concert Hall in Oakland, California, though it was the first time he recorded a violin. Experimenting with different microphone positions in an attempt to capture what he calls the delicious geometry of sound emanating from Abel's Guarneri and Steinberg's Hamburg Steinway D, he ended up hanging his Schoeps CMC-36 microphones from a ladder high above the instruments. Of the results, he says, I'd put the recording up against any chamber music recording. It has to be my favorite.

Reached at their home in Oakland, Steinberg and Abel, whose trio with percussionist William Winant has commissioned music from the likes of John Harbison, Lou Harrison, Paul Dresher, Somei Satoh, and Gordon Mumma (for starters), reminisced about their time with Wilson.

The session was free of the time pressure and tension that can really get in the way of the final outcome, says Abel. If we wanted to stop for a bite, or go outside to rest for a while, that was not a problem... Dave kept open to what was happening in the moment, as in a concert. He understood about not making a 'perfect' recording, and instead left the small imperfections... that make the final result sound human and real. One could not ask for better.

Esperanza Spalding presents her latest project Emily's D+Evolution a rekindling of her childhood interest in theater, poetry and movement, which delves into a broader concept of performance. Taking a new approach to her on-stage persona, the remarkable Spalding taps into new creative energy, delivering musical vignettes inspired during a sleepless night of full moon inspiration. As she puts it, Emily is my middle name, and I'm using this fresh persona as my inner navigator. This project is about going back and reclaiming un-cultivated curiosity, and using it as a compass to move forward and expand. My hope for this group is to create a world around each song, there are a lot of juicy themes and stories in the music. We will be staging the songs as much as we play them, using characters, video, and the movement of our bodies.

    Nobody Likes A Quitter

All Get Out will release their second full-length studio album, Nobody Likes A Quitter, via Bad Timing Records.

The Texas-by-way-of-South Carolina band, led by frontman Nathan Hussey, is in the middle of a huge spike in creativity. The first result of this spike was last year's Movement EP, a five-song effort that will look like a warm-up round in the near future. Nobody Likes A Quitter is All Get Out's most dynamic and impressive work yet, following Hussey as he turns his focus inward and begins to become more fully aware of who he is.

Nobody Likes A Quitter was produced and co-written by Manchester Orchestra's Andy Hull and Robert McDowell, and proves to be a more nuanced and restrained affair than the aggression of 2011's The Season and Movement - but trust us when we say it's no less vulnerable or emotionally exhausting.

This LP comes from the 5xLP boxset that was released in November 2017 for the 30th anniversary of death of Jacqueline du PrÉ; it uses the 24-BIT/96kHz remastering made at Abbey Road in 2011 for Japanese SACD versions. "It is good to be reminded of du PrÉ's vivid, intense and joyful music-making", wrote Gramophone of this pairing of cello concertos by Schumann and Saint-Saëns. "[The Schumann] has that kind of spontaneous freedom of line that made her account of the Elgar so famous. Her delicacy of response in the slow movement is matched by a romantic flair which carries the outer movements along so admirably. Barenboim directs a sympathetic accompaniment, following her subtle manipulation of rubato with complete understanding."

Founded in Los Angeles in 1979 by Rozz Williams, CHRISTIAN DEATH emerged as a huge influence for the goth and death-rock movement with their debut album 'Only Theatre of Pain' (1982) as well as the genre-defining 'Catastrophe Ballet' (1984) and 'Ashes' (1985). The latter marks the final appearance of the classic band lineup and features the final recordings of their founder Rozz Williams alongside current CHRISTIAN DEATH main-man Valor Kand, vocalist-keyboardist Gitane Demone and drummer David Glass before Williams' untimely demise in 1998.

13 years since they first began playing together in their native Oklahoma, Other Lives remain focused on the search for audible clarity: their next expression, their next melody, their next rhythm. Rituals, the band's third and latest full length album, is a pure encapsulation of the trio's relentless drive for precision. "It's more dimensional, it's more 3-D, if you will," Tabish explains. "We wanted a cleaner, brighter record with more movement and more color.

Ranked 301/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Ranking near the top of anyone's list of Dylan's masterpieces, this post-motorcycle-accident career-turning-point finds Dylan veering from the razor-edged desperation of All Along The Watchtower to the gentle, back-porch sway of I'll Be Your Baby Tonight, and all points in between. Back at last, in its ultra-rare original mono mix, this landmark LP -cut with the cream of Nashville's studio cats and generally credited as a blueprint for the era's country-rock movement -sizzles on Sundazed 180-gram vinyl, as always, the industry standard.

1983's Show No Mercy was the album that started it all for the thrash mercanaries and the album ultimately helped inaugerate in the speed and thrash metal movement of the '80s and the extreme metal underground of the '90s. Slayer incorporated the faster, darker elements of Judas Priest and melded it with the punk brutality of Motorhead and its apparent from the the all out assault of the opener Evil Has No Boundaries to the last note of the title track closer that they were a band to be reckoned with.
