    Origin Of Symmetry

U.K. favorite Muse's 2001 sophomore release, Origin of Symmetry finds the band coming into their own and out of the shadow of their influences. Origin of Symmetry is a lush, artfully arranged album of epic dynamics that strikes a fine balance between progressive tendancies and straightforward rock accessibility. In addition to their grand sonic canvases, the album is complete with electronics, swirling guitars, baroque keyboard embellishments, dramatic vocals and melodic hooks, making for a fascinating and extremely satisfying overall effort.

Muse have announced their seventh studio album Drones on Warner Bros. Records. Co-produced by Muse and Robert John "Mutt" Lange, the album contains 12 tracks.

Matt Bellamy states, "To me, 'Drones' are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behavior with no recourse. The world is run by Drones utilizing Drones to turn us all into Drones. Drones explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors."

    Showbiz

The British trio's 1999 debut, Showbiz shares many things in common with Radiohead here including producer John Leckie who also produced The Bends. From the angst-filled vocals to the esoteric lyrics and dramatic dynamics, Muse is not afraid to wear their influences on their sleeve, but they manage to stand on their own merit too with a promising and epic sound that is simultaneously melodic and raw. The tunes on Showbiz are spectacular, stadium-sized monsters that mix brute noise with a captivating fragility, all from a young band with unlimited potential.

    The 2nd Law

Muse didn't set out to make the most gloriously ambitious album of their career. How could they have? The band who dreamt up Supermassive Black Hole, Knights Of Cydonia and the three-part Exogenesis symphony were already well-versed in going One Louder. Any wilder, any further out there, and Muse would risk incineration by a dwarf star of their own making.

But you don't become one of the biggest bands on this planet - in excess of 15 million albums sales worldwide, 5 MTV Europe Awards, 2 Brit Awards, 8 NME Awards, 5 Q Awards, 4 Kerrang Awards and winner of the Best Rock Album Grammy 2011; No 1 in 19 countries with 2009's The Resistance; filler of arena and stadia across the world - by sitting on your hands.

So when Muse approached the making of their sixth studio album, they wouldn't stint on the choirs, strings and horn sections. And be reassured: guitar-shredding, piano-thumping, orchestra-arranging, book-chewing, big-thinking Matt Bellamy, as the band's chief songwriter, didn't lower his sights from The Big Picture nor ignore The Precious Details. And nor were the trio afraid of giving space to a brilliant new element to their sound - songs written and sung by bass player Chris Wolstenholme.

But what the Devon-born band of schoolfriends did do different was this: they made things easy for themselves. For the first time since the dawn of their career in smalltown England 18 years ago, all three members were living in the same place during the making of an album. Domiciled in and around London, they block-booked a recording studio - Air - and came and went as they pleased.

This time, the only clock Muse had to beat was their own internal band rhythm. They had the days and weeks and space to experiment, explore ideas, rig up massive in-studio PA systems, hire in remixers, play with pedals, and (technical term alert!) fanny around to their hearts' content.

    Black Holes And Revelations

In 2004, U.K. favorite Muse broke through in the U.S. with Absolution and major performances across America that won legions of new fans. In 2006, the band took a bold new step with Black Holes And Revelations, a powerful, upbeat epic album that brought the bands music to a whole dimension. Once again co-produced by Rich Costey (Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave), Muse incorporates influences from electronica and Prince to pure pop. The album broke into the Top 10 in American and topped the U.K. and European album charts within its first week, earning Muse their second consecutive #1 album.

2009's The Resistance is the fifth studio album by English alternative rock band Muse, reaching the top of the charts in 19 different countries. The album was produced by the band and mixed by Mark Stent.

Following seven years of near solid touring, Muse escalated from being the biggest band in Teignmouth in 1997 to one of the biggest bands in Europe by 2004. With each successive album, they push the musical envelope with a fusion of progressive rock, electronica, and Radiohead-influenced experimentation, creating an emotive, passionate sound. Thank You could only come from one city, at one moment in time. Like Pere Ubu's Cleveland and Joy Division's Manchester, post-industrial Baltimore serves as simultaneous playground, obstacle course, and muse to this show-stealing art-rock trio. The band's urgent collision of rhythm, melody, and noise has placed them at the creative center of today's Baltimore renaissance, sharing stages and tours with such acts as Beach House (Sub Pop), Lungfish (Dischord), Celebration (4AD), Dan Deacon (Carpark), Zomes (Holy Mountain), Jason Urick, and Future Islands (both Thrill Jockey).

Thank You's first full-length follows closely on the heels of 2009's sold-out 12 EP Pathetic Magic. A band that once limited its vocals to hums, grunts, and chants has entered the next phase, delivering a stellar collection of challenging rock-and-roll songs. But Golden Worry eschews easy, anthemic sing-alongs, instead dipping into the vocabularies of Krautrock, post-punk, no-wave, and noise to produce what is at once Thank You's most melodic and most aggressive record.

Nick Waterhouse is the New Breed - An R&B fanatic who combines an uncanny old-school sensibility and with a charged, contemporary style. Having just turned 25, he joins the ranks of similar acts and producers of recent times - Mark Ronson, Amy Winehouse, Sharon Jones, Mayer Hawthorne, Aloe Blacc et al -- that are all moving forward into the past, yet all quite different. For Waterhouse, his muse is the over-modulated sound of vintage '50s R&B and Rebel Rock n' Roll. His take on such a time-honored tradition evokes the back-alley thrill of New Orleans, Detroit and Memphis in their heyday. He combines an astute attention to detail recording on all vintage equipment with an honest desire to match the emotional impact of the music that inspires him.

Kimbra is a New Zealand recording artist whose unique musical style draws from many different genres, often blending more modern electropop and R&B with classic jazz and soul musical elements. In 2013, Kimbra won 2 Grammys for Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her song Somebody That I Used To Know with Gotye.

The Golden Echo is the second album by Kimbra. The ultimate modern pop record, The Golden Echo is ambitious, sophisticated, and complex, just like its creator. The New Zealand-born singer and songwriter wrote the songs in her bedroom studio on a farm in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles, where she was surrounded by sheep and lambs owned by her landlady. The album is produced by Rich Costey and features several special guest artists, including Muse's Matt Bellamy, rapper Flying Lotus and singer John Legend.

Quiet Company's fourth full length record Transgressor is the much anticipated follow up to the critically acclaimed We Are All Where We Belong (2011). Recorded in 14 intense days of live tracking at the state of the art Orb Recording Studios in Austin, TX, the band captured a guitar-driven larger-than-life sound, recruiting producer Matt Noveskey (Blue October, IAMDYNAMITE) and mix engineer Tim Palmer (U2, Pearl Jam, Bowie). Muse's characteristically introspective writing style is in full force as he tells tales of love, despair, pain, and redemption, reflecting on his marriage, from burgeoning young love to a relationship tested through time and life on the road. The Blue Notebooks

Opening with a text from Franz Kafka, read by Tilda Swinton, over a sparse piano melody, the album moves through the heart-wrenching 'On The Nature Of Daylight' through to sparse but lyrical piano pieces, hazy swirling atmospherics, avalanche pulse-beats and partially occluded melodies. Other sounds were generated via old guitar pedals and vocoders. The organ music was made for a chapel near Tourtres in South-West France, whilst the environmental sounds are mainly recorded around London.

Peppered across Richter's music like diary entries (and backed with attendant typewriter clatter) are a number of literary texts or 'shadow journals' (from Kafka and Czseslaw Milosz's 'Hymn Of The Pearl'). Chosen by Max on instinct, these brief passages muse over time, memory, and the impermanent nature of things.

    Coney Island Baby

Coney Island Baby is a 1976 album by Lou Reed, originally released in January by RCA Records. It is also the title of a song on that album. Many of the album's songs were inspired by Reed's girlfriend and muse at the time, a trans woman named Rachel. According to Aidan Levy, Coney Island Baby was as much a love letter to Rachel as it was to the nostalgic Coney Island of the mind. The album's title track directly references Rachel with the line: I'd like to send this one out to Lou and Rachel, and all the kids at P.S. one ninety-two. It was originally presented as a poem entitled The Coach and Glory of Love in The Harvard Advocate: Journal of Fiction and Poetry in 1971.

    Call By Night

Wymond Miles was raised in the working-class small towns of the American
West. On Call by Night, the singer's latest widescreen opus, Miles masterfully
evokes that lost landscape, all while grappling with issues of fatherhood, privacy,
PTSD, violence, and dissipated romance. The album adds a critical new chapter
to the Fresh & Onlys guitarist's story as an artist, and reasserts him as a major
    voice in contemporary songwriting.

Call by Night sees Miles building a noticeably bigger sound than on his previous
solo records, while simultaneously standing as his most intimate work. It's a
record explicitly written for the fidelity of the vinyl format, with louder songs
beginning each album side and quieter songs at the interior. His attention to
sequencing paid off; the album flows like a piece of classic cinema, and sounds
like it's splashed across a drive-in screen in 70mm. Recorded using vintage gear
by Phil Manley (The Fucking Champs, Trans Am) at El Studio in San Francisco
and Miles' Garden Chamber home studio, the record is a treasure of tube-amp
warmth, and a landmark in the songwriter's catalog.

Miles wrote most of Call by Night on piano, and while the wall-of-sound guitar
and cinematic synth playing that helped define his earlier efforts is still present,
the beating heart of the songs is left more open thanks to his new method. Where
previous full-lengths were cloaked in distinct aesthetic choices, this record exists
outside of any stylistic restraints. "Divided in Two," the lead single, considers
dignity, class, honor, and father-son relationships through the devastating lens of
PTSD, all set to a sardonic flag-waving waltz, with martial percussive bomb blasts.
The title track explores the enduring aesthetic of British psych-folk. Other songs
dip into the traditions of gospel music, sea shanties, and even big-box power
ballads, using antique instruments and Miles' unique perspective on the modern
world to forge a new collection of entries for the American songbook.

Miles has said the songs on Call by Night mark his "more definitive commitment
to seek, listen, and give voice to an enduring muse." If that's true, then the muse
has obviously been singing to him loud and clear.

    Shleep

    Limited Edition

    Only 2000 Copies Made

Its far too easy to abuse the phrase living legend, but when used to describe Robert Wyatt, youre in no danger of hyperbole: gifted songwriter; political activist; drummer in the Canterbury jazz/prog pioneers Soft Machine and contemporaries of the original lineup of Pink Floyd; collaborator with the likes of Brian Eno, David Gilmour, Phil Manzanera, Fred Frith, Paul Weller, Scritti Politti, Elvis Costello and his beloved wife Alfreda Benge, to name but a few.

Perhaps his greatest gift though is his voice, a reedy instrument of great warmth and emotion; one need only hear his interpretation of the classic Shipbuilding (a song that was written for him by Costello and producer Clive Langer) and you shall be smitten for life. Domino is incredibly honored to be releasing a near-complete re-issue series of Roberts solo recorded works in the form of these limited edition LP+CD versions. Each title is limited to 2000 copies. There will be only one pressing so, once these are gone, they are gone for good.

Featuring long term collaborators and friends like Brian Eno, Phil Manzanera, Annie Whitehead, Evan Parker and newer accomplices such as Paul Weller, Shleep is as exuberant and immediate a record as Wyatt has ever recorded. Clearly delighting in the process of collaborating in the studio again, it's a remarkable testament to Wyatt's muse that a record inspired by insomnia should produce such welcoming and restful lullabies.

Speed of Darkness, the follow-up to 2008's Float is punk ensemble Flogging Molly's fifth and arguably most important album to date. In the words of lead singer/songwriter Dave King, It wasn't the album we set out to write. It became the album we had to write. Speed of Darkness, produced by Ryan Hewitt (RHCP, The Avett Brothers) was written in Detroit, MI and takes a hard-nosed look at the economic collapse in the U.S. and the causes and the direct effect it has had on everyday people. The Motor City serves as the album's muse and a painful example of what has gone wrong. While Speed of Darkness attacks much of the greed and ignorance responsible for where we are, the album also delivers a message of hope, humanity and the resilience of mankind.

From their beginnings as a raucous pub band in Los Angeles in the late 1990's, the band has worn their blue collar ethos proudly and loudly, most notably during their incredible live performances. And now, as the country and the rest of the world rise up to recover and rebuild, never has that ethos been more apparent and important than on Speed of Darkness. The album, like Flogging Molly itself, is a testament to youth and resilience, to growing old and the wisdom of scars, and yet for all of the record's darkness and the speed with which it descends, the ultimate theme is one of light: we can preserve and we will.

    Outside Society

Punk rocks poet laureate, Patti Smith ranks among the most influential female rock & rollers of all time. Ambitious, unconventional and challenging, Smiths music was hailed as the most exciting fusion of rock and poetry since Bob Dylans heyday. Smith followed her own muse wherever it took her, from structured rock songs to freeform experimentalism. Her most avant-garde outings drew a sense of improvisation and interplay from free jazz, though they remained firmly rooted in noisy, primitive three chord rock & roll. She obliterated the expectations of what was possible for women in rock, and stretched the boundaries of how artists of any gender could express themselves.

The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductees first career-spanning collection, Outside Society, is a new collection of 18 signature songs remastered from all ten of Smiths studio albums. The chronologically arranged tracks move from her 1975 debut album, Horses (Gloria, Free Money), through her last release in 2007, Twelve (Smells Like Teen Spirit). Outside Society features brief recollections of each song, written by Patti, who personally supervised the song choices.

    Lucifer

Lucifer is the third full-length release from West Coast dub heroes Peaking Lights. The golden duo of Aaron Coyes and Indra Dunis continue to crystallize their mesmerizing sound and find new dimensions within. Lucifer also comes at a time of great transition for this married couple and it reflects the possibilities that they have found during this new life era, especially with the birth of their son, Mikko, a guiding light muse for the album.

Recorded in Brooklyn, NY at Gary's Electric studio over the course of a month, Peaking Lights consider Lucifer a nocturnal version of their sound. It's slinkier and full of grooves. To us this record is about play and playfullness, unconditional love, rhythms and pulses, creation and vibration, says Coyes. Lucifer is also Peaking Lights' most ambitious release to date in terms of its approach and scope.

Through their studio experiments, the duo has managed to link their musical loves ie dub, krautrock, analog electronic dance music, sound collages, pop music, all while maintaining cohesive songs. Lucifer was self-produced and engineered by Al Carlson (Yeasayer, Ford & Lopatin, 0PN). LP is a limited numbered edition with an embossed jacket.

    Harlequin Dream

Within weeks of finishing work on 2011's award-winning, internationally renowned debut LP, Moonfire - months before it was
even released - singer / songwriter Dave Hosking was hit by a creative tsunami. Boy & Bear is a band that likes to follow
their muse - and the new songs were flowing. The cocoon-like existence of working together in a new environment -
Nashville, in the case of Moonfire - generated its share of magic, but Hosking and his fellow Boy & Bears wanted to bring it
all back home, to get back to where their musical journey began in 2009. His band mates Tim Hart, Killian Gavin, Jon Hart and
    David Symes, agreed.

The record in question, Harlequin Dream went on to debut at #1 in Australia. The bold and brave new album was recorded
in their hometown of Sydney at legendary Alberts Studio and mixed by Phil Ek (Band of Horses, Fleet Foxes, Modest
Mouse). The lead single, "Southern Sun," has a powerful urgency not unlike the best of Bruce Springsteen or Fleetwood
Mac, while a sprinkling of strings and brass brings life and color to such standouts as "Back down the Black," "Old Town
    Blues" and "Stranger."

Boy & Bear's debut record Moonfire took the band to some places they never thought they'd see, including several tours
of Europe and America, and went on to win five ARIA Awards, including Album of the Year.

    Tranquilizers

Includes 8 page booklet Of Original Dog Bite Art

In a release inspired by the smooth rhythms of the region's
past, Atlanta-based Dog Bite offers more music medicine
in the form of Tranquilizers. The sophomore release
transcends the reverie state of Velvet Changes in pursuit
of a darker, more full-bodied experience. Tranquilizers
migrates into a dreamy sonic realm enveloped in its own
    soulful inuence.

Frontman Phil Jones found his extensive listening to iconic
R&B musicians such as Otis Redding and Isaac Hayes to
be the original muse for the album. In its formation it
began as a soul record; however, at its core the release
remains grounded in Dog Bite's beloved shoegaze
    landscapes.

With the support of Woody Shortridge on bass and Tak
Takemura on drums, Dog Bite purposefully evades
sedation through its blend of smoky textures across
divergent genres. Being an album submerged between
the differences of classic funk and rock music, it is Jones'
customary croon that weaves a common mesh in the
    record's diverse artistry
