Music On Vinyl'
Ranked 8/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
Recorded in 1979 in London, which was then wrenched by surging unemployment and drug addiction, and released in America in January 1980, the dawn of an uncertain decade, London Calling is 19 songs of apocalypse, fueled by an unbending faith in rock & roll to beat back the darkness. Produced with no-surrender energy by legendary Seventies studio madman Guy Stevens, the Clash's third album skids from bleak punk (London Calling) to rampaging ska (Wrong 'Em Boyo) and disco resignation (Lost in the Supermarket).
The album was made in dire straits too. The band was heavily in debt and openly at war with its record company. Singer-guitarists Joe Strummer and Mick Jones wrote together in Jones' grandmother's flat. Joe, once he learned how to type, would bang the lyrics out, Jones said. Then I'd be able to bang out some music while he was hitting the typewriter. Strummer, Jones, bassist Paul Simonon and drummer Topper Headon spent nearly three months rehearsing and demoing songs in a garage in the Pimlico section of London - with one light and filthy carpet on the walls for soundproofing, recalled Strummer in 1989. We felt that we were struggling, he said, about to slide down a slope or something, grasping with our fingernails. But Stevens was on hand for inspiration. He threw chairs around the room if he thought a track needed zapping up, according to Strummer. The album ends with Train in Vain, a rousing song of fidelity (unlisted on the back cover because it was added at the last minute) that became the sound of triumph: the Clash's first Top 30 single in the U.S. - Rolling StoneLP 1

The DoorAvailable On Vinyl For The First Time
Few musicians can captivate with just their voice and guitar, but Keb' Mo' pulls it off on his fifth release The Door. It's as if DNA from Robert Johnson and James Taylor fused inside this singer-songwriter, simply known as Kevin Moore when he played guitar with Papa John Creach back in the '70s.
At 49 years old, Keb' Mo' has paid his dues. More importantly, he 's a compelling singer, a versatile stringman, and a fine songwriter. He's also one of the few best-selling artists today whose music genuinely deserves a big audience.
Keb'Mo' has a knack for advancing the pure Blues formula into uncharted territories. Take his remake of the Elmore James' classic "It Hurts Me Too." It's nearly impossible to make a synthesizer work in a Blues context, but Keb' Mo' finds a way on this track. On gentle numbers like "Anyway" and sophisticated compositions such as the jazzy "It's All Coming Back," Keb' Mo' also extends himself well beyond the Blues.1. The Door

Marvin Gaye - Collected180-Gram Audiophile Vinyl
High-Quality PVC Protective Sleeve
4-Page Booklet With Liner Notes And Photos
Featuring ''Sexual Healing'', ''What's Going' On'' And ''Ain't No Mountain High Enough''
Motown released the first Marvin Gaye record in 1961 ''(I'm Afraid) The Masquerade Is Over'', a single intended for (radio) promotion from the singer's debut album. This was followed up by the officially released ''Let Your Conscience Be Your Guide'' a week later. Gaye scored his first real hit with ''Stubborn Kind of Fellow'' in 1962, which he had co-written himself, joking about his alleged stubbornness. The foundations were now laid for an enormous series of chart successes: ''Pride And Joy'', ''Can I Get A Witness'', ''How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)'' and ''Ain't That Peculiar'' are all Motown classics from 1963-1965 which are still being regularly played today after all these years.
The duets he recorded with Kim Weston (''It Takes Two'') and especially Tammi Terrell were certainly at least as good.
He scored his biggest ever hit with ''I Heard It Through The Grapevine'' in 1968. The ''What's Going On'' from the same named album became a number 1 hit in the USA and the album was received as a masterpiece everywhere and is now regarded as one of the most important records in pop history. In 1973, the artistically and commercially very successful, Let's Get It On album was mainly a musical ode to Marvin's love for his new muse Janis Hunter. The success enjoyed by ''Sexual Healing'' and the album which was released at the end of 1982, traveled with him. Suddenly Gaye, who had started to increasingly be forgotten about, was a celebrated star again and this was certainly a position the singer reveled in.
The pop world lost one of the most important soul singers ever to grace the world on 1st April 1984. He has left behind a series of fantastic hits plus a big handful of tracks which deserve the title of masterpiece, all COLLECTED on this album.LP 1

Never intended for release in their present state, this collection shines further light on his creative development and unending quest for new musical challenges. 117 Degrees (1998) is the second studio album by former Guns N' Roses guitarist Izzy Stradlin, and his first musical work not released under a band name. The album picks up right where The Ju Ju Hounds left off, offering a set of 14 bluesy hard rockers in the vein of Chuck Berry, the Stones, the Faces, Aerosmith, and Guns N'Roses
117 Degrees features appearances from Stradlin's former Guns N' Roses bandmate Duff McKagan and former Ju Ju Hounds' bandmate Rick Richards, also ex-of The Georgia Satellites. The tracks "Memphis, Tennessee" and "Good Enough" feature the Ju Ju Hounds lineup, as the songs were recorded by the band before breaking up.

Collected, the ultimate J.J. Cale collection from 2013 already proved to be a highlight of Music On Vinyl's catalog. Now we're revisiting this essential compilation in a slightly slimmer package: without printed innersleeves, and with a 4-page booklet instead of the 8 pages of liner note material previously included.
This American cult legend has turned his laidback style into a trademark. J.J. Cale has forged an inspiring career that spans four decades. He received his first major exposure in 1970 thanks to Eric Clapton, who turned J.J. Cale's After Midnight into a hit song overnight. A few years later, Clapton repeated the trick with Cocaine.
But the legacy of J.J. Cale has much more to offer: collected on three 180 gram LPs chock full of rootsy Americana songs that will stay in the back of your head long after you turned off the record player.LP1

The 4th album of Hole was a huge commercial achievement, successfully bridging the gap between Grunge and guitar Pop. The band revolving around Kurt Cobain's widow Courtney Love carved a niche for themselves as the seminal female fronted Grunge group. Established in 1991, the band functioned as a cathartic outlet for enfant terrible Love, which makes their work incredibly compelling. Their 1998 album Celebrity Skin revealed a polished, energetic sound. Are You Experienced? (Music On Vinyl) (Mono - UK Cover)Import
Ranked 15/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
Ex The Animals musician & entrepreneur Chas Chandler had brought Hendrix to the UK, teaming him up with drummer Mitch Mitchell and bassist Noel Redding. Recordings for Are You Experienced had begun in late October 1966, producing a string of singles preceding the illustrious first album by the world's most famous guitarist. While recording, the future working relationship between engineer Eddie Kramer and Hendrix was forged. The debut album by The Jimi Hendrix Experience was initially issued in mono and then 'enhanced stereo' on later issues.
The UK cover photography was by Bruce Flemming. Releases in Europe had the words Jimi Hendrix placed above the title. These later issues were 'enhanced stereo', with tracks listed on the back.
The USA & Canadian issues were released after the band appeared at the Monterey Pop Festival in June 1967, along with The Who. Its art was directed by Ed Thrasher, using a Karl Ferris infra-red fish-eye photo. There is a key difference to the tracks on this album, with some removed and replaced by the earlier singles, plus a change to the running order. The spelling Foxey Lady appears in some of these issues, and has been adopted for the Music On Vinyl mono reissue.1. Foxy Lady

Lemonade And BrowniesFirst Time On Vinyl!
Sugar Ray became widely known through their infectious Pop single "Fly", and a consequent lighter musical direction displayed by songs like "Every Morning", "Someday", and "When It's Over". However, at Sugar Ray's earliest conception, they were a Rock/Metal band at heart, with enough goofy energy to land them a deal with Atlantic and a debut record produced by DJ Lethal.
Lemonade and Brownies was released in 1995, and it showcases Sugar Ray in their most youthful and idealistic phase. Their major-label debut is a competent set of Alternative Funk/Metal, with a few Punk anthems to boot. Even though the album did not chart, the band stayed on the label going on to huge success a few years later.
DJ Lethal (of Limp Bizkit fame) produced the album. Named one of the sexiest covers art in the history of recorded music, actress Nicole Eggert (known for her role in the insanely popular '90s TV drama series Baywatch) is featured on the cover.1. Snug Harbor

Johnson, Larry Carlton, Valerie Carter, Billy Payne, Michael Omartian and J.D Souther, the Christopher Cross album would prove to

There's A Riot Going On was Sly & The Family Stone's answer to Marvin Gaye's What's Going On?, the seminal Soul album that came out five months before the Sly Stone masterpiece. It's a dark, earthy Funk album, that went straight to number 1 upon release. Single Family Affair also topped the charts, and is still one of Sly Stone's most beloved tracks. It manages to capture the era of militant activism and deep social unrest in a brooding, moody album with tension that could cut through steel. It still appears on plenty of 'greatest albums of all time' lists (Rolling Stone placed it on #99 out of 500) and is seen as one of the most important and influential albums of the 1970s.Side A

The Golden Hits Of The Everly BrothersMastered from the Original Warner Bros. Tapes by Joe Reagoso
Don and Phil Everly are most certainly two of the most important figures in popular music history. Whether rock, pop, adult contemporary or country music, The Everly Brothers have consistently rose to the occasion with their successful harmonies, musicianship, and of course the knack to pick songs and write their own material which has made them legends in their own time.
Their legendary status has put them on world stages for over five decades and they have been honored and adored by both the fans and huge rock music icons like The Beatles, The Beach Boys, and Simon and Garfunkel. When the Everly Brothers joined the Warner Bros. label in the late '50s, their marquee value was just beginning to skyrocket. A long term lucrative deal, unprecedented at the time, afforded the boys the real opportunity to churn out hit after hit in record time.
While making a successful string of albums and hit singles, their greatest hits LP, simply titled The Golden Hits Of The Everly Brothers, showcased their star power in 1962. Filled with a dozen of their biggest hits like Cathys Clown, Thats Old Fashioned, Crying In The Rain, Ebony Eyes and their classic interpretation of Little Richards Lucille, the album itself was another home run for the duo. It rode the charts for months during its initial release and has been a consistent seller in various formats since the original album was discontinued decades ago!
Friday Music kicks off The Everly Brothers 180 Gram Audiophile Series with their greatest hits album The Golden Hits Of The Everly Brothers. This first time ever high grade audiophile vinyl release is mastered from the original Warner Bros. tapes by Joe Reagoso at Friday Music Studios and at Capitol Records with Ron McMaster. First Time On Vinyl
Mudvayne was an American heavy metal band from Illinois formed in 1996. The band became known for its strong visual appearance, which included horror film-styled makeup. The band has sold over six million records worldwide, including nearly three million in the United States.
L.D. 50 by Mudvayne was appraised by critics for its technical and heavy style of music. It features a style which has been referred to by the band as math metal. For the album they experimented with a ragged, dissonant sound; a sound collage prepared specially for the album that was used as a series of interludes.
Furthermore L.D. 50 was produced by Garth GGGarth Richardson and executive production by Slipknot member Shawn Clown Crahan.
In the year of its release the album peaked at number one on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart and number 85 on the Billboard 200. The singles Dig and Death Blooms peaked at No. 33 and No. 32, respectively, on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
Rolling Stone contributor Ben Ratliff gave the album three out of five stars. Ratliff noted the band's technical background, comparing the songwriting style to that of Nirvana and stating that the album's interludes are better than those of Slipknot. Blabbermouth.net writer Borivoj Krgin praised its technicality and heaviness.LP 1

Despite being founded in Connecticut by Benjamin Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden in 2002, MGMT from the start sounded more Brooklyn than Bedford Avenue. Their productions are hard to describe, but if you mix psychedelic with proto-electro punk, shake it up with art noise and add some indie-pop, you just might have got the picture.
Oracular Spectacular is the first major label studio album by MGMT and ultimately enjoyed both critical approval and commercial success, with the album selling over 500,000 copies in the U.S. and going platinum in Australia, the U.K., and Ireland. Oracular Spectacular features MGMT's signature song Kids, the funky track Electric Feel (famously covered by Weezer) and the smashing opening track Time to Pretend. The tunes sound classic and new all at once, paying homage to Bowie, the Kinks, and the Stones, while updating traditional progressions with flashes of Royal Trux, Ween, and LCD Soundsystem.

The Grace EP's (Box Set)180 Gram 5 LP Box Set
Includes a Full Color Jacket, A Double Sided Full Color Insert and a 12mm Spined Outer Sleeve.
Music On Vinyl is proudly re-releasing The Jeff Buckley Grace EPs on vinyl. This unique package contains 5 180g 12 vinyl records each in their own full colour jacket, a double sided full colour insert and a 12mm spined outer sleeve.
In the space of one studio album, and a number of recorded live performances, Jeff Buckley managed to carve out a global cult following. With so little studio output available, fans of Jeff Buckley have inevitably been drawn back time and time again to the masterpiece that is Grace, becoming familiar with every detail of every song.
The five discs that make up The Grace EPs are a collection of live performances and a few studio versions from songs that appeared on Buckley's seminal debut album. A few b-sides are also included. Indeed two of these (Peyote Radio Theatre and So Real) were promotional-only releases that weren't commercially available. The others were rare imports: Last Goodbye came out in Japan, Live From the Bataclan in France, and The Grace EP in Australia.
Jeff Buckley toured the globe extensively, performing countless shows in support of his music.
The Grace EPs capture some of the majesty of his stage presence. So what of the music contained here? First of all this is no skimpy collection - adding up to more than two hours even though there are just three to five songs on each disc. The perfect supplement to the Grace album, it contains live versions (sometimes more than one) of five songs from that record, as well as a few edit versions, a Nag Champa Mix of Dream Brother, and a 13- minute live 'Chocolate Version' of Mojo Pin.
Perhaps more interesting to collectors will be a few cover tunes not on Grace: a whopping 12-minute version of Van Morrison's The Way Young Lovers Do, a medley of Je N'En Connais Pas la Fin/Hymne A l'Amour, Hank Williams's Lost Highway, and a 14-minute take on Alex Chilton's Kanga-Roo. And there is, finally, a bonus track added to the The Grace EP (the only song in the package not on the original EPs), Tongue, a spooky ambient 11-minute studio instrumental.
If you're a devoted Buckley-phile, this set is for you. It's beautifully put together, with crisp sound quality in the live performances, and captures Buckley's tremendous flair for stage improvisation.1) Mojo Pin

Ranked 291/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
After Dylan was injured in a motorcycle accident he concealed himself from the public's gaze for a long while to work with The Band at houses in and around Woodstock where Bob Dylan and members of The Band lived.
In that period of time they recorded more than 100 tracks together.
And even though the songs were recorded in 1967, this official bootleg wasn't released until 1975.
Although some of the songs on 'The Basement Tapes' are humorous, most of the songs dwell on nothingness, betrayal and a quest for salvation and they possess a rootsy quality that anticipates the Americana genre.
'The Basement Tapes' reached #7 in the Billboard Top 200 charts.
And for your listening pleasure, Music On Vinyl is re-releasing this album on vinyl for the first time since 1976!1. Odds And Ends

Music Of My MindRanked 284/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
Music of My Mind features a 21-year-old Stevie Wonder deploying an array of styles and influences including his earliest fusions of soul and rock. Originally released in 1972, the landmark album marked the first of five consecutive Stevie Wonder releases that would become hailed as his 'Classic Period.' Standout tracks like Superwoman (Where Were You When I Needed You), Happier Than The Morning Sun and the funky jam, I Love Everything About You are some of the first indicators of Wonder's true potential and ambitions as a trailblazing artist. Limited Pressing Of 1,500 Individually Numbered Copies On 180 Gram Blue & Gold Mixed Vinyl
Includes 5 Bonus Live Tracks
Welcome to the sound and poetry of recovery and redemption. On Beth Hart's third album Leave The Light On, she has taken her already lean, rootsy approach to writing, scaled it back to what is essential in a song, then poured the very grain of her being into each performance. Beth Hart's Leave the Light On is filled with songs that take no prisoners, such as Bottle of Jesus or Broken & Ugly, with fierce melodies and burning guitar crunchiness.
This exclusive expanded vinyl edition includes no less than 5 bonus tracks (Side 1, including a duet with Barry Hay recorded in Holland) + 5 bonus live tracks (Side 4, of which 4 tracks recorded in Amsterdam). No matter what happens, this album will always sound necessary and is a vital example of classic rock.

LION-MOV-Q53985xThe Flying Burrito Brothers
Gram Parsons had a habit of taking over whatever band he happened to be working with, and on the first three albums on which he appeared - the International Submarine Band's Safe at Home, the Byrds' Sweetheart of the Rodeo, and the Flying Burrito Brothers' The Gilded Palace of Sin - he became the focal point, regardless of the talent of his compatriots. Burrito Deluxe (1970), the Burritos' second album, is unique in Parsons' repertoire in that it's the only album where he seems to have deliberately stepped back to make more room for others.
The album includes songs like Cody, Cody, and Older Guys. It also contains the first issued version of the song Wild Horses, released almost a year before its appearance on Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones. The band sounds tight and they play with genuine enthusiasm. Burrito Deluxe is certainly better than your average Country-Rock album.1. Lazy Days
