    Night Moves

Originally released in 1976, Night Moves was Bob Seger's first studio album with the Silver Bullet Band. Much of the album was recorded in Muscle Shoals, Alabama with the incomparable Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section. This
breakthrough album, powerful and personal, went on to garner overwhelming critical praise, as well as the hit
singles "Night Moves," "Mainstreet" and "Rock and Roll Never Forgets." This new reissue of our GRAMMY® Award winning rocker's classic album marks its debut on 180g vinyl.

Have a question about this product? Please email our audio advisor or call 1-877-929-8729 with any questions or concerns regarding your equipment purchase.

Offering a unique combination of unsurpassed comfort,
state-of-the-art design, and naturally beautiful sound,
AudioQuest's first headphone, NightHawk, has been
lovingly featured in the pages of magazines and websites
as far-reaching as Stereophile, Rolling Stone, CNET, Wired,
Head-Fi, Digital Trends, The Verge, and many more. This
is evidence of the intensifying convergence between the
high-fidelity and high-technology worlds, and testament
to NightHawk's uncanny ability to captivate and inspire a
diverse audience of thinkers, builders, engineers, and, of
    course, music lovers.

While NightHawk's many innovative design elements-
Liquid Wood earcups, biomimetic sound-diffusing grilles,
and high-performance solid-conductor cable, to name just
a few-have impressed listeners worldwide, many have
expressed interest in different paint finishes, more versatile
    cables, and closed-back designs.

AudioQuest takes the first of many steps toward satisfying
those interests with two new around-the-ear models:
    NightHawk Carbon and NightOwl Carbon.

NightHawk Carbon is a more sophisticated,
more mature version of the original. It boasts all of the
same exciting refinements found in NightOwl-improved
performance, greater comfort, two pairs of earpads, a far
more durable cable with mic and smartphone controls,
enhanced look and feel -all while
retaining its predecessor's remarkably low distortion and
    fatigue-free sound.

    Acoustic Refinements

    • Modified internal parts: Tighter tolerances reduce air
leakage for improved airflow and lower distortion
    • Two sets of earpads: Protein Leather Boost Pads seal
tighter for better isolation and slightly enhanced treble
clarity; Microsuede Pads breathe freer for greater comfort
      and slightly reduced bass impact
    • Improved plugs: High-purity Tellurium Copper (TeCu)
base metal for smoother surface, higher plating quality,
better mating contact, and, consequently, less noise

    Ergonomic Refinements

    • Improved headpad: Genuine leather headpad with
stitched detailing for enhanced comfort, more luxurious
      look and feel
    • Improved cable: Shorter (4.25ft) length for easier use
at the desktop or with mobile devices; flexible, nonbraided
      jacket increases durability, eliminates kinking,
      minimizes microphonics; robustly engineered and
      rigorously tested strain relief further increases durability;
discrete microphone and smartphone controls enable
phone calls and playback functions (Play, Pause, Skip)
      without compromising sound quality

    Cosmetic Refinements

    • Luxurious finish: Porsche Carbon Grey Metallic highgloss
paint meticulously applied via multistage process
    • Improved inner presentation: Includes microfiber
pouches for headphones and accessories for safer,
      simpler travel

Of course, all of the advanced design elements that
made the original NightHawk such a success are carried
over into the improved models. NightHawk Carbon and
NightOwl Carbon share their predecessor's pistonic
drivers with biocellulose diaphragms, compliant rubber
surrounds, and true voice-coil formers. The patented splitgap
motor remains unsurpassed in its ability to reduce
intermodulation distortion. The earcups are fabricated
from the same revolutionary Liquid Wood material, which
affords acoustically optimized support beams and carefully
applied damping. The patent-pending suspension system
allows the earcups to move freely, accommodating heads
of almost any shape or size, while effectively decoupling
    the earcups to counteract resonances.

Thus, NightHawk's exceedingly low distortion, unrivaled
comfort, and naturally detailed sound have been
enhanced in every meaningful way. With the new semiopen
    NightHawk Carbon and closed-back NightOwl
Carbon headphones, you can listen longer, later, and with
greater pleasure, enjoying even deeper immersion in your
favorite music, movies, videos, and games.

    The Spark That Moves

Now at 12 years of releasing albums and touring the globe countless times, Cancer Bats have become a well-known force within the world of heavy music. 2018 sees them embarking on the newest chapter of their career by self-releasing their 6th studio album Worldwide.

With strong personal connections built over the years of relentless DIY style touring, the band feels closer to their fans than ever. That connection fuels their confidence in abandoning the traditional record label structure. Singer Liam Cormier comments "From all the years of touring, we know half of the room we play to by name, and that's every night in every country. I can't wait to put the record, we release ourselves, in all of my friends' hands when we go and see them around the World."

This confidence is only matched by the excitement and raw energy coursing through the 11 tracks that make up the new album 'The Spark that Moves'. With the band combining their most melodic moments with arguably their most aggressive. Drummer Mike Peters and lead bass player Jaye Schwarzer seamlessly colliding together like two wild beasts, while guitarist Scott Middleton blasts a layer of destruction over top, only to be thunderously led by singer Liam Cormier's now fully formed melodic arsenal.

Cancer Bats are now truly ready to take on the entire World!

    We Move

Written in constant transition - and recorded between Toronto, Dublin and London - 'We Move' is James Vincent McMorrow's most expansive, generous and ambitious record to date. There is, on the other hand, something more stripped-back - vulnerable, even - surfacing for the first time: far from the dense, protective imagery at the heart of 'Post Tropical', 'We Move' is ultimately a record open in its portrait of anxiety and social unease. For McMorrow, it's about celebrating mental fragility - and how we move forward in life - rather than "people listening to my songs and believing that I'm out in the forest all day long, thinking about trees. Because I'm actually at home, trying to convince myself to go out and get milk."

The first steps to 'We Move' took place in 2014, when James - having been asked to write for different artists' projects - started sketching out ideas for others on tour (and subsequently stopped over-analysing his own work). Intent on doing the opposite of everything he'd done thus far, McMorrow then came off the road, but kept exploring: first through Barcelona, then Canada, and stopping in Los Angeles for six particularly fish-out-of-water months, where the songs for the album crystallised. He returned to Dublin determined not to just produce another album himself, but to work with people who could articulate the unique world he heard in his head ("I grew up wanting to write songs like Neil Young but produce them like The Neptunes"). And so James reached out to a few key co-producers he'd met whilst travelling, who formed the backbone of 'We Move': namely, Nineteen85 (Drake, DVSN), Two Inch Punch (Sam Smith, Years & Years), and Frank Dukes (Kanye West, Rihanna). Mixing took place largely in Miami with one of McMorrow's all-time heroes, Jimmy Douglass - known for his work from Donny Hathaway through to Timbaland - who finessed the record's warm, vintage yet forward-thinking feel.

The result is an album about movement - geographically, mentally, emotionally - which remains focused on finding your place in that future. First track 'Rising Water' is starkly-produced and skyscraper-sized in its sense of catharsis ("I never once was sad for what I've done"): 'Evil', meanwhile, questions whether you might in fact be a bad person, because you don't see life the way other people do (its tone is celebratory rather than ominous, however). Heavier still is 'I Lie Awake Every Night', which sees James address for the first time the eating disorder he has battled since he was a child ("it's about lying in hospital when I was a kid, thinking I shouldn't be there, and trying to reconcile those two things"). 'We Move' reacts against McMorrow's instincts to obscure ideas such as this, and ultimately embraces a shared, collective awkwardness, and the idea that maybe we're all putting on a brave face in some way.

Beginning with Rising Water, 'We Move' continues a remarkable journey for the Dublin-born singer and songwriter, whose early work offered little clue as to the sounds and situations that would follow. It's a remarkably assured collection, informed by this idea that you might not have to listen to others when they tell you how they think life is supposed to go; and that as you grow up, you lose things along the way. Rather, 'We Move' suggests it's possible to keep what you want to keep, and lose what you want to lose.

    Fear And Saturday Night

Recorded mostly live with a brand new backing band 'FEAR AND SATURDAY NIGHT' shows Bingham facing down his past with a poetic grace throughout. The lead single "Radio" is about coping with a darkness that doesn't want to let go, searching for a safe place to make sense of your life and the strength to stay on the right track through it all. Some of the most affecting moments on the album are in the harmonica-driven
wistful waltz "Broken Heart Tattoos", a song written to an unborn child, and in the title track, when he sings, "I don't fear nothin' except for myself / So I'm gonna go out and raise me some hell."

"Certain things aren't going to change," he explains of the song. "You can't run away or hide from the past. You have to live in it and deal with stuff and find your own way to overcome. Those hard-learned lessons, through both good times and bad, helped make Bingham the man he is today. 'FEAR AND SATURDAY NIGHT' is the most authentic, personal, and deeply moving portrait of that man we've heard yet.

Kayak is a well known Prog group from the Netherlands that released multiple albums during the '70s. The band is influenced by bands like Yes, Genesis and Queen, the latter for which Kayak opened a tour in 1974. The band recorded Phantom Of The Night in 1978, introducing a new singer. Their move toward a more poppy sound is apparent on this album, featuring simpler time signatures, synthesized sounds and clean vocals. Female/male duo White Hex (Tara Green and Jimi Kritzler)
released their debut album Heat in 2012 released on Avant!
Records. 2014 sees their return with the follow up full-length,
Gold Nights. The album is the second in a series of three
thematically connected records which is based on a period of
three years. The album's themes include tackling the deaths of
friends over the past few years and somehow staying optimistic
    through that loss.

Recorded after shows in Paris, Berlin, New York and Melbourne,
Gold Nights explores Italo disco, minimalist techno and the more
primitive end of 1980's German underground. They embrace their
love of high fashion, 1980's New York vogue techno and the
mutant explorations of Whitehouse, Arthur Russell, Craig Leon
and Gianni Rossi. Gold Nights retains certain elements of their
beloved debut, but moves in a more sophisticated direction as a

    Ride Out

Bob Seger has emerged from the studio equipped with a new album, Ride Out, set to be released on Capitol Records. The first single, "Detroit
Made," pays homage to America's love affair with the automobile. The uptempo song hit radio airwaves August 15, serving as the perfect backdrop to the
20th annual Woodward Dream Cruise, the world's largest one day celebration of classic car culture.

"I feel really good about this record," says Seger. "This album touches on how I think a lot of us feel about finding our place in a more complicated world - from how we appreciate things as simple and pure as love, to navigating through the corruption and violence that permeates the news. It sums up a lot of
feelings I have about a variety of subjects."

Produced by Seger, the new collection stays true to his legendary sound as he effortlessly marries rock, blues and country, yielding an album with all the
hallmarks of the rocker's deep catalog of hits. Seger began teasing tracks from the album during his 2013 tour, including "Detroit Made," "All of The
Roads" and "California Stars." Ride Out is Seger's first studio album since his 2006 platinum-certified Face The Promise and follows his 2011 platinum-certified release, Ultimate Hits: Rock and Roll Never Forgets.

Bob Seger has sold more than 51 million albums and has racked up 13 platinum and 7 multi-platinum RIAA-certified album sales awards in the U.S.
alone. He is both a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, and his Greatest Hits, Against The Wind, Night Moves, Stranger In
Town, Nine Tonight, and Live Bullet have been RIAA-certified for more than five million U.S. album sales each. The 1994 Greatest Hits collection was the

    I Knew You When

Capitol Records recording artist Bob Seger's 18th studio album, I KNEW YOU WHEN, was recorded in Nashville and Detroit.

The new set features Seger's tribute to Lou Reed, a rockin' cover of Reed's "Busload of Faith". Seger also includes tributes to his friend Glenn Frey, in the heartfelt self-penned "Glenn Song", and to Leonard Cohen with a timely cover of Cohen's "Democracy". Seger dedicates the album to the memory of Glenn Frey.

I KNEW YOU WHEN also features the reflective title track, uptempo rockers "The Highway", "Runaway Train", and "Blue Ridge", an ode to the history and beauty of the Appalachian Mountains, and the passionate guitar driven ballad, "I'll Remember You".

I KNEW YOU WHEN is Seger's first new studio album since his 2014 release RIDE OUT, which was Seger's highest charting debut entering Billboard's Top 200 Albums at #3 and Billboard's Rock Albums chart at #1.

With the new album Seger and Capitol mark their 49th year, extending Seger's record as the longest tenured solo artist in the storied label's history. Seger has been inducted in both the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame and was honored with Billboard's "Legend of Live" award at the 12th annual Billboard Touring Conference & Awards in 2015 for his significant and lasting impact on the touring industry.

Seger has earned 13 platinum and 7 multi-platinum RIAA Certified sales awards, including his studio albums BEAUTIFUL LOSER, NIGHT MOVES, STRANGER IN TOWN, AGAINST THE WIND, LIKE A ROCK, THE DISTANCE, THE FIRE INSIDE, FACE THE PROMISE and his double live albums LIVE BULLET and NINE TONIGHT. For her hotly anticipated sophomore album Nashville
songstress Nikki Lane teamed up with Dan Auerbach
of the Black Keys for a record that turns the vulnerable
singer-songwriter stereotype on its ears. With songs
that crucify ex-boyfriends, celebrate one-night stands
(as long as she can bolt town right after) and proclaim
it's "always the right time to do the wrong thing," Lane
comes across like a modern-era Wanda Jackson, albeit
with more oats to sow. "My songs always paint a pretty
clear picture of what's been going on in my life, so this
is one moody record," she says. "There's lots of talk of

    Dumb Numbers

Dumb Numbers Is A Brand-Spankin' New Band Featuring A Pretty Unbelievable Cast...

With his debut album, Australian songwriter Adam Harding has teamed up with Lou Barlow (Sebadoh, Dinosaur Jr., Folk Implosion), Dale Crover
(Melvins), Murph (Dinosaur Jr.), Bobb Bruno (Best Coast), CR Matheny (Emperor X) and others to create an impressive breadth of material.

Dumb Numbers walks a line between the aggressive and the emotional. In just 36 minutes the album manages to move from feedback-drenched pop(Last Night I Had A Dream) to Melvins-leaning rock (Lost Inside),
to monastery doom metal (Without), to sentimental piano pieces (The Broken Promises), to balls-out guitar shredding (Redrum). Such a wide range of sounds contained on one album would usually result in an artistic train-wreck, but expert musicianship and an undenable cohesion tie these songs together. The result is an unpredictable and masterful debut album.

    Abandoned Apartments

Jeremy Jay's latest, Abandoned Apartments, feels lived in, familiar, but filled with creaking shadows that go deep into the unknown. A product of several years spent in self-inflicted isolation and at various self-produced recording sessions, it is studied and wiser, culling its synthesizer tones from late-80s goth pop and touching on something darker than anything else Jay's ever made.

Jay's characters are full of longing, romance, and regrets, living their lives in bustling late night metro stations. They are vivid and moving. Abandoned Apartments is melodramatic in its emotions, exacting in its details; Jay has taken his time making exactly what he intended, and it buzzes iridescently, full of electricity, somewhere in the darkened distance.

    Clear Heart Full Eyes

Clear Heart Full Eyes is the Vagrant Records solo debut album from, Craig Finn, frontman for the critically acclaimed group The Hold Steady. In early 2011, Finn challenged himself to write a new song every day in his Brooklyn, NY apartment. I had written a bunch of songs that were outside of the norm for The Hold Steady, a little quieter and perhaps more narrative, says Finn. I wanted to gain some experience and insight into the process of making a record by working with new people.

Finn traveled to Austin, Texas in July, removing himself from all familiar surroundings, to record the album with producer Mike McCarthy (Spoon, Trail of Dead). Of the album's title, Finn says, It's a juxtaposed reference to 'Friday Night Lights,' a TV show that excited and moved me and also happened in Texas. Further, Clear Heart signifies honesty and transparency, and Full Eyes suggests experience.

    Passage (Awaiting Repress)

Brooklyn, NY's Exitmusic, comprised of Devon Church and Aleksa Palladino, present their debut album, Passage. The 10-song set is a collection of newly-written songs and some of their older tunes that received some new coats of paint. Here, the two tethers that make up Exitmusic's sound, one stirring atmospherics, one of grandioise and thoughtful pop, are let to bow further out than ever before. They are, however, also pulled into a tighter, sharper knot at the center. There are big, emotional dynamic shifts, and a wave-crashing momentum across the set without ever breaking a sustained feeling of tenderness. It's dream-pop for those of us whose dreams are Lawrence of Arabia-epic in scope: lulling, apocalyptic, celestial, triumphant.

Recorded at Rare Book Room in Brooklyn with mixer Nicholas Vernhes (Dirty Projectors, Deerhunter), Church and Palladino, along with the assistance of new bandmates drummer Dru Prentiss and live electronics by Nicholas Shelestak, built on the chilling, beautiful aesthetic they had created as a duo when recording at home. The result is a sound that is more powerful and more nuanced, covering broad oceans of emotional terrain. Opener and title track "Passage" is like watching a great shifting of tides through rapid time-lapse photography, introducing new dynamics in one magnificent breath. It is a statement of intent that tears down the Victorian boudoir gauze found on previous efforts. The ghosts are still piercing the veil, but now they're throwing chairs. The song begins gently, with candlelight piano plucks, distant explosions on the horizon, aching breaths and moans. But in moments, the oceans swell and lurch as it detonates into a shower of brilliant shrapnel.

Elsewhere, on album standout "The Night," Exitmusic's gaze moves upwards with chiming, blurry guitars, the heavenly sighs of Palladino in the background and one of the album's finest choruses in the foreground. And "Storms" sounds like Peng-era Stereolab as seen through a fun house carnival mirror. The album has a bona fide, fist-pumping anthem "The Modern Age" and closes elegantly with the starkly devastating "Sparks of Light. Simply put: This is arena goth.

Passage is a longtime in the making, and certainly worth the wait. Church and Palladino started writing together several years ago, when the Canadian-born Church moved to New York City, Palladino's home, following a year teaching English in Taiwan and India. Their collective sonic interests: layers, textures, churning, spacious guitars (Palladino had been playing hers since age 12), blinking electronics, shimmering vocals, created a fruitful writing partnership immediately. Their songs began to take on new dimensions when the pair moved to Los Angeles a year later, finally committing their compositions to the recording process. A few twists and turns, and a move back to New York City, later, Exitmusic found a home with Secretly Canadian who released their first EP, From Silence, in the Fall of 2011. Critical raves for the four song collection poured in globally, with everyone from New York Magazine to The Guardian heralding the band's arrival. With the new live line-up, Exitmusic will have toured with artists such as Phantogram, School of Seven Bells, The Joy Formidable and A Place To Bury Strangers.

    Electric Trim

Lee Ranaldo has announced details of a brand new album, Electric Trim.

Electric Trim was recorded in New York City and Barcelona in collaboration with producer RaÜl Refree Fernandez and extends the work of Ranaldo's Solo canon, the most recent being his 2013 album, Last Night On Earth.Through his collaboration with Fernandez, Ranaldo moves into some rich new sonic territories and production techniques, experimenting with electronic beats and samples alongside live players.

Ranaldo is a co-founder of Sonic Youth, a visual artist, producer and writer. In addition to Fernandez, he worked with several special guests on Electric Trim, including Sharon Van Etten who sings on six of the tracks and duets on Last Looks and Kid Millions (aka Man Forever) as well as longtime friend and collaborator Nels Cline (Wilco). In addition, the album features Ranaldo's band The Dust (fellow Sonic Youth member Steve Shelley, guitarist Alann Licht, and bassist Tim Luntzel).

Ranaldo collaborated with award-winning New York author Jonathan Lethem (Motherless Brooklyn / The Fortress of Solitude) for lyrics on six of the songs. The American artist Richard Prince, who previously painted the sleeve for Sonic Youth's 2004 album Sonic Nurse, created the artwork for the album.

The nine-track album marks a return to the Mute family for Ranaldo, who says: I'm so excited about this record, it represents new developments and directions for me and I can't wait to hit the road and play this music live. I'm also so pleased to partner with Mute for this release - it's like a homecoming of sorts as Sonic Youth's early records were released on Blast First / Mute. To me, Mute has always been a true artist's label, concentrating first and foremost on the music.

    Living In The Shadows

4LP Casebound Book-Back Set, Comprising Jansch's Three Studio Albums From The 1990s (The Ornament Tree; When The Circus Comes To Town; Toy Balloon)

Includes An Additional Disc Of Unheard And Unreleased Material

Both Studio Albums And Dat Transfers, Remastered By Brian Pyle

Signifying a return to form that heralded one of the most prolific periods of his life, this special collection features some of Jansch's finest work. Living In the Shadows includes an extra disc of demos, alternate versions and never-before heard tracks, transferred from Jansch's personal tapes, alongside the three studio albums of the 1990s: The Ornament Tree, When The Circus Comes To Town and Toy Balloon.

This trio of works represents quite different facets of Jansch's talent; where Circus is a bluesy, late-night sounding party, Ornament is altogether more subdued, drawing on Maggie Boyle's bodhran, flute and whistles to creative a sound that is nothing if not celtic. Toy Balloon falls somewhere in the middle, with that feeling of intimacy that is so Bert.

Despite these apparent contrasts, the unifying element is of course, Jansch's guitar. There is an ease about these albums that suggests a musician that has found himself very at home-"just a simple soul", to quote the man himself.

The real draw here for many Jansch fans will be disc four: unreleased tracks (including-let joy be unconfined!-one with John Renbourn), as well as alternative takes of familiar songs from the '90s period. Chosen specifically for their contrast to the studio versions, these tracks are often more stripped-down or without the embellishment typical of the era. Mostly recorded at Bert's home studio, this unheard and unreleased collection, transferred from Bert's own DAT tapes, has a intimate quality that is incredibly moving.

    Looking On

Looking On is the third album by The Move, released in December 1970 and is their first LP to feature Jeff Lynne.

With Wood's use of cello and woodwinds and Lynne's piano in addition to their usual guitars and vocals, anticipating the work they would later pursue in The Electric Light Orchestra, whose debut album they were starting to record at around the same time.

The Move was effectively a dead band walking when Lynne joined in February 1970 after fronting (and producing) The Idle Race. Wood had wanted to launch a new group with Lynne that would feature rock and strings, to pick up, in theory, where the Beatles' I Am the Walrus had left off. Brontosaurus was eventually covered by Cheap Trick and Feel Too Good was later featured on the soundtrack of the movie Boogie Nights as well as in the pilot episode of the UK series Life on Mars.

    Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor

In April, horror rock mogul ROB ZOMBIE returns with his fifth solo album, and in his words, "It merges the old days of WHITE ZOMBIE with the future of what I am doing now this is the perfect combo of both worlds." Much more than self-serving hyperbole, this is the Devil's truth! 'The Girl Who Loved The Monsters' harkens back to La Sexorcisto, whereas 'Behold, The Pretty Filthy Creatures' would be right at home on The Sinister Urge. Throughout the 12 songs, pretty much every aspect of Zombie's musical career is touched upon; Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor is almost like a Greatest Hits comprised of entirely new material. First single 'Dead City Radio And The New Gods Of Super Town' is a fiery, barn-burner of a track highlighting "wasted youth - an angel of odd in her birthday suit." That being said, the award for worst song title of the year goes to 'Ging Gang Gong De Do Gong De Laga Raga'. Musically, it's actually quite a good piece, but that title and chorus - what were you thinking Rob? Then there's 'Rock And Roll (In A Black Hole)', centered around a tedious, electronic syncopated drum beat. All signs lead to dull and dreary, but when this kicks in, it'll knock you on your ass! 'Theme For The Rat Vendor' is an unexpected 62-second instrumental immersed in middle-eastern sounds. Pulling a decapitated rabbit out of the hat, Zombie and cohorts John 5 on guitar, Piggy D on bass, and Ginger Fish on drums rock the shit out of GRAND FUNK RAILROAD's 'We're An American Band'; talk about a job well done! And if there really is a fallen angel in hell, Zombie will play 'Lucifer Rising' every night on tour. Bound to be a fan-favourite, this makes you move and groove uncontrollably; it's damn near irresistible. 'Trade In Your Guns For A Coffin' ends this illicit affair with the perfect amount of sex, sleaze and violence. Forget the Pied Piper, it's time to embrace, cherish and worship those Venomous Rats!-- Aaron Small
