One For The Road'
Mad Max: Fury RoadImport
From director George Miller, originator of the post-apocalyptic genre and mastermind behind the legendary Mad Max franchise, comes Mad Max: Fury Road, a return to the world of the Road Warrior, Max Rockatansky. An apocalyptic story set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and almost everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life.
Within this world exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order. There's Max, a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. And Furiosa, a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.
The film's epic score is written by Tom Holkenborg, aka Junkie XL, a Grammy nominated and multi-Platinum producer, musician, and composer. Junkie XL's versatility puts him on the cutting edge of contemporary music, as well as in the vanguard of exciting new film composers. He is able to draw on his extensive knowledge of Classical forms and structures while keeping one finger planted firmly on the pulse of popular music. When this eclectic background is paired with his skill as a multi-instrumentalist (he plays keyboards, guitar, drums, violin, and bass) and mastery of studio technology, a portrait emerges of an artist for whom anything is possible.LP1

Spectrum RoadSpectrum Road is a groundbreaking collaboration between four giants of modern music: Jack Bruce, Vernon Reid, John Medeski and Cindy Blackman Santana. Named after one of the incendiary tracks on the original Tony Williams Lifetime album, Spectrum Road demonstrates on their self-titled debut, however, that they are in no way a tribute band.
After making rock history with Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker in Cream, legendary British bassist Jack Bruce joined the Lifetime for two records thus serving as Spectrum Road's direct connection to their muse. The group is artfully rounded out by famed guitarist Vernon Reid, of Living Colour, and multi-keyboardist John Medeski, one-third of the juggernaut Medeski, Martin & Wood.
Made famous by her ten plus years backing Lenny Kravitz, Cindy Blackman Santana has distinguished herself as an impressively versatile player who's as comfortable on post-bop sessions with Joe Henderson and Wallace Roney as she is touring with pop stars like Kravitz and husband Carlos Santana. The formidable line-up of Spectrum Road assures the legacy of Tony Williams lives on, and clearly qualifies as a major 2012 music event.1. Vuelta Abajo

ADAD-SAC-2144xSoundwalk Collective and Jesse Paris Smith feat. Patti Smith
Double LP With Gatefold Sleeve And 16-Page Booklet
LP 1 Is Black Vinyl, LP 2 Is White Colored Vinyl
A shimmering ambient tone, an electronic underlay to the lulling chatter of
crickets, makes way for the unmistakable voice of Patti Smith, quietly intoning,
ominously, "The killer road is waiting for you / like a finger, pointing in the night."
Behind the music and concept of Killer Road is international trio Soundwalk
Collective - Stephan Crasneanscki, Simone Merli, and Kamran Sadeghi - who,
alongside Patti Smith's daughter, Jesse Paris, conceived an immersive exploration
of the tragic death of Christa PÄffgen. Better known as Nico, the Velvet
Underground chanteuse and solo pioneer, PÄffgen died while riding her bike on
the island of Ibiza in the summer of 1988. Ironically, she'd recently got her health
back, after fifteen years of heroin addiction. It was Nico's body's reaction to its
new sobriety, and the fact she was cycling at the hottest time of the day, on the
hottest day of the year, that was to prove her undoing.
In the years before she died, Nico had not neglected her creative muse, writing
poetry that would never be published, or heard, until now, in the form of the
opening title track, "Killer Road." The tracks that follow are eight interpretations
of Nico lyrics, predominantly taken from classic albums such as Desertshore and
Drama of Exile, arranged by fellow poet and kindred spirit Patti Smith.
The roots of Killer Road lie in a fortuitous meeting on an airplane bound for New
York. One passenger was Smith; the other was Soundwalk Collective founder
Crasneanscki. Soundwalk had previously been a collaborative series of walking
guides to cities that created an idiosyncratic and evocative understanding for the
listener, before evolving into musical frameworks for field recordings and sight
specific sound installations and performances using a variety of texts and themes.
Killer Road was initially a live audio-visual experience, at the French Institute
Alliance Francaise in New York as part of 2014's Crossing the Line festival. Finally,
we now have the recorded version, a poignant, profound, imaginative exploration
and tribute nearly 30 years after that fateful summer's day.1. Killer Road

October Road is singer-songwriter James Taylor's fifteenth album. It was released in 2002 on CD only. Reaching number four in Billboard 200, the album has been certified Platinum. Now available on vinyl for the first time!
That warm (if slightly deepened) tenor, singing in its odd accent which combines New England and the North Carolina Piedmont, and that acoustic guitar, with its sparkling, unhurried fingerpicking, remain the most prominent elements in the sound.
October Road finds Taylor seemingly intent on evoking his own past. The title track, of course, recalls his song Country Road, and Caroline I See You, (even if it refers specifically to his wife), inescapably echoes Carolina in My Mind. Throughout, on what seem like the most personal songs he has written in decades, Taylor appears to be commenting on a second chance he feels he has received.1. September Grass

Cut at the legendary Abbey Road Studios!
Pressed on 180 gram vinyl, sourced from the original master tapes, and cut at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, your collection needs this Beatles classic. The last studio album from the group at a time when the group barely was one, amazingly this album is widely regarded as the best they ever made--a true tribute to the purity of the music.
To produce this vinyl, a team of gifted producers and engineers came together for four long years to mix and master on state of the art equipment. Like a science experiment, they theorized, tried, and tested extensively before copying the master tapes to digital 24 bit/192kHz resolution, never once touching the original songs but carefully removing clicks, pops, and poor edits; one last polish on what Rolling Stone Magazine considers the 14th out of 500 best albums of all time.Come Together

The Glory RoadHer voice was all Saturday night, delivered on a Sunday
morning. Patsy on Jesus. Elvis without the pelvis. Fern
Jones' only album, released by Dot Records in 1959,
captured 36-year-old Sister Fern as she anointed
church music with the same untamed energy that
younger white Southerners were bringing to their rock
'n' roll. Produced by Mac Wiseman and showcasing crack
Nashville session players Hank "Sugarfoot" Garland,
Floyd Cramer, Joe Zinkan, and Buddy Harman fresh
off their June 1958 session with The Pelvis, Singing A
Happy Song should've taken Jones from dusty canvas
big tops to the Opry's storied stage. But with no 45 to
flog, Jones instead sold nary a record and never did hear
herself on the radio. Her fiery rockabilly gospel was a
few shades too radical for the conservative, traditional,
near puritanical public she played to anyway. Fern
Jones: The Glory Road collects her Singing A Happy
Song LP and cuts including "Didn't It Rain," from her
The Joneses Sing album, into one rousing package,
rich with the details and imagery of a brief career
spent tethered to the hard ground and gazing skyward.

Cale and three-time Rock and Roll Hall
of Famer, 16-time Grammy®winner Eric
Claptonhave teamed up for the first
time to create an original album together, The Road To Escondido. The resulting hybrid sound defies being labeled,
but instead finds influence across the
spectrum of blues, rock, country and
folk. The songs are warm and rich, with
deep flowing rhythms, yet use an economy of words to express much.
In a true collaboration,
Cale (whose songs "After Midnight" and "Cocaine"
Clapton had previously covered) and Clapton jointly
produced and recorded the album, each playing and
singing on the tracks. Cale wrote 11 of the songs,
Clapton wrote "Three Little Girls," John Mayer
wrote "Hard To Thrill" and the duo cover the blues
classic "Sporting Life Blues." Among the numerous
guest artists are Mayer, Taj Mahal, Derek Trucks,

Prayers For The BlessedRock luminaries SIXX:A.M. will release their fifth studio album Vol. 2: Prayers For The Blessed via Eleven Seven Music. Written and recorded at the same time as Vol. 1: Prayers For The Damned, which was released earlier this year, the album acts as a companion piece to the first chapter while simultaneously elevating the band's sound in every area.
From the outsider anthem We Will Not Go Quietly to the operatic show stopper Maybe It's Time to the groove-driven, radio-ready rocker That's Gonna Leave A Scar, Prayers For The Blessed displays the many sides of Sixx:A.M.'s sound, something that the band was able to develop by ramping up the amount of time they spent out on the road. We really found ourselves onstage and it's influencing the way we write, says Nikki Sixx. We started focusing on our music not only as songwriters and lyricists but also stayed conscious of what would transfer over live to the audience."1. Barbarians (Prayers For The Blessed)

For The Cause
Pressed on Clear Vinyl
Maintaining urgency, authenticity and integrity has never been an issue for New York City's hardest, and hardest working band, MADBALL. Twenty-five years along as a recording and touring entity, MB brings forth its ninth aural chapter, »For The Cause«; a signature collection of lionhearted, groove-laden, street-level New York Hardcore as only MADBALL can bring it.
The aptly titled album doesn't so much revisit where the group has been since 1994 - although MADBALL released its first EP, »Ball Of Destruction« as a virtual AGNOSTIC FRONT side-project back in 1989 - but forges forward and represents where the fellas find themselves collectively and personally a quarter-decade down the road.
Throughout the band's storied history, MADBALL has asserted its mission; carrying forth a simple yet righteous cause, and this time around, they've chosen to define that cause more succinctly than ever before. Tornadic vocalist/front man Freddy Cricien explains, "If you're not fighting for a cause, you're not participating in life. Simple as that. Speak up, fight, educate yourself, make a difference and make sacrifices for what's important to you." Words to live by.
»For The Cause« sees the return to the fold of guitarist Matt Henderson, who hasn't appeared on a MADBALL album since 2000's »Hold It Down«, for which Henderson also served as producer. "To have him record with us again was really special," offers Freddy. He adds, "Matt's been playing 'commemorative' shows and tours with us on-and-off over the years, so, obviously, the love and friendship is there. He'll always be an honorary member A MADBALL lifer."
Unique to this album is the stellar production work by RANCID's Tim Armstrong, who clearly helped express MADBALL's distinctive voice powerfully and dynamically without stepping on the trademark formula the band has forever carried, yet constantly seeks to improve upon. "It's a tricky thing, producing. You can truly enhance something, but you could also ruin a record if a band lets you," says Cricien. Freddy continues, "Tim has always respected our band and how we do what we do. He knew we had a vision for how this album should sound, so he let us do our thing, but was there every step supporting and cheering us on. Whenever he did chime in, it was well thought out and he made strong suggestions. He even helped write the hook on 'For You.' He was there for us in a non-meddlesome role, which for this particular record, was the best-case scenario." Danish studio veteran Tue Madsen (MESHUGGAH, DARK TRANQUILLITY, SICK OF IT ALL) skillfully handled mixing duties on »For The Cause«.
Also, noteworthy on »For The Cause« are the various cameo appearances by some of MADBALL's friends, as well as several artists with whom the group shares a mutual respect; namely PSYCHO REALM's Sick Jacken on the track 'Rev Up,' THE BUSINESS' Steve Whale and producer Armstrong on 'The Fog,' plus legendary emcee Ice-T on the hardcore banger 'Evil Ways.' Freddy discloses, "Jacken is our homie. He just came through to say what's up and check out the spot and I happened to be recording 'Rev Up.' He was really digging the song and just freestyled. It really drove the message of the song home. As for Ice-T, he added a good flavor to 'Evil Ways.' It was a real honor to work with someone I've been following and have respected since I was a kid. He genuinely supports our band and the scene we come from. Tim and Steve jumping on 'The Fog' happened organically like everything else with this record." The UK Oi! legend provided the spoken intro and a guitar lead to the street punk-tinged anthem.
What's maybe most notable on »For The Cause« is its various twists and turns both musically and vocally to keep MADBALL's brand of NYHC fresher than it has ever been. Freddy presents, "How do you grow as a band or as a person if you don't take chances? We feel obligated to ourselves and everyone else to evolve, at least somewhat. We took more 'chances' on this record than on any previous one, and we're happy about that! We're proud that it's still very much us; it's real and honest. There is plenty on there to satisfy the people that support us from every era of this band."
As for MADBALL's astounding longevity in the hardcore game: "We don't know how to do anything else at this point. We raise our families to the best of our ability; we do MADBALL to the best of our ability So far so good, and we don't feel that we've reached our full potential in either of those areas just yet."1. Beatles For Sale (Awaiting Repress)
Sourced From the Original Master Tapes
Pressed on 180 Gram Vinyl
Cut at Abbey Road Studios
The Beatles for sale is the fourth Studio Album from The Beatles. After Lennon met Bob Dylan on tour, an influence immediatley swept him over and crept into his song writing. A good example of this are the songs, I Don't Want To Spoil The Party and I'm a Loser, This album also has the band back to doing a slew of covers due to there rigorous touring schedule but still being able to create great compositions like I Feel Fine and its B-side, She's a Woman, which for some reason were not included on the album.
Being at the height of Beatlemania and the forth Beatles record in 21 months, most of the song writing and production were done either in the studio or on days off from performances, with the bulk of the album being done in about three weeks. When finally released on December 4th, 1964, it began a 46-week long run in the charts knocking there last album off the top of the charts for seven weeks.
A team consisting of some of the best producers and engineers in the recording industry were brought together and would spend 4 long years mixing and mastering with some of the most state of the art recording equipment. Treating these records much like a science experiment, engineers ran extensive tests before copying the analog master tapes over into a digital format using 24-bit/192 kHz resolution, and carefully removing clicks, vocal pops and poor edits. Just over a year after playing their first show as a band, Perfect Pussy have
quickly made a name for themselves as one of the most intense bands in the

DJs, musicians, engineers, designers, shop managers, record label CEOs and collectors like Dischord's Ian MacKaye, Norton's Miriam Linna, singer-songwriter Ryley Walker, musician and producer T Bone Burnett, Abbey Road's half-speed maestro Miles Showell, DJs Sven VÄth and Ellen Allien, designer John Kosh and many others tell about the records that changed their lives, their love for vinyl and the impact its resurgence has had on them. Passion for Vinyl Part 2 also shows how analogue recording techniques are making a comeback in the recording and mastering studios.
In the last few years, countless music lovers have (re)discovered that nothing beats listening to a vinyl record on a proper stereo set. It makes the listener connect with the music like nothing else.
This book is a tribute to that unique experience.
Passion for Vinyl Part. 2 is written by Dutch author, music journalist and vinyl fanatic Robert Haagsma. With an introduction by Michael Kurtz, co-founder of Record Store Day.

ADAD-POL-5616xSaturday Looks Good To Me
One Kiss Ends It AllIn their decade-plus existence, Saturday Looks Good To Me has never taken a typical path: endless line-up changes, shifts in sound from lo-fi 60's pop to experimental noise rock, a twisting discography heavy on one-off singles and bizarre package tours with afrobeat and freakfolk bands.
In 2012, bandleader and songwriter Fred Thomas returned with a fresh new line-up, including new vocalists Carol Catherine and Amber Fellows, but also with old friends from previous SLGTM incarnations like bassist Scott DeRoche and drummer Ryan Howard showing up for the fun.
The band's fifth proper album, One Kiss Ends It All, came together following the group's first tour after getting back in action, however the four years since their last full-length weren't spent cultivating this new batch of songs.
Instead, a spontaneous and breezy vibe flows through the album's 12 selections, drawing on the reference points of 60's pop and early indie rock, all filtered through the band's skewed pop lens.
Thomas' songs are always bittersweet, but short, uptempo rockers like Invisible Friend and Break In recall the open-hearted running melodicism of New Zealand kiwi-pop while more groove-oriented numbers like Polar Bear or Sunglasses meld electronic elements with the same sharp-edged attitude of the first Strokes album.
Even former SLGTM lead vocalist Betty Barnes (who now lives in Sweden) sings lead on two tracks: the doo-wop piano lament of Negative Space and the spare indie rock road trip The Ever-present New Times Condition.
Saturday Looks Good To Me's albums in the early 2000's (All Your Summer Songs, Every Night) predicted the reverb-saturated production and girl-group revisitations that indie rock would embrace several years down the road.
One Kiss Ends It All expands on those early lo-fi marvels and feels more like a revelation than a continuance.
With more sophisticated arrangements and melodies more direct and engaging than anything the band has ever done, the album feels like re-telling the details of a dream minutes after waking. Something new colliding with something that shouldn't make sense in a beautifully strange collage. And always more details hidden in the corners.1. One Kiss

Studio One Dub Volume 2Studio One Dub 2 is a second collection bringing together some of the finest dubs from the legendary Studio One Records, Kingston, Jamaica. Dub music was the creation of a generation of brilliant recording studio engineers in Jamaica. But although Clement Coxsone Dodd's Studio One is hailed as the greatest of the Jamaican recording labels, and although many talented engineers worked the board at Dodd's Brentford Road studio over the years (including Sylvan Morris, Syd Bucknor, Overton Scientist Brown and Dodd himself), Studio One was never typically known as a centre for dub. This is because for many fans the studio's commercial and stylistic heyday was in the 1960s, prior to the rise of dub as a distinct sub-genre of Jamaican music in the 1970s. By the 1970s, however, dub music was the rage in Jamaica's sound systems. Always the pioneer - and since Sylvan Morris had left the Studio One operation around 1972 - Coxsone supervised the dubs till leaving Jamaica at the end of the decade. This meant that for the most part, for example, the twelve Studio One dub albums released during the 1970s were mixed by Dodd himself, using the moniker Dub Specialist. Throughout the decade, the mixes became more sophisticated and atmospheric. Along with the first volume of Studio One Dub, the cuts here demonstrate that Studio One's contribution to the innovative musical form of dub was substantial, and go straight to the head of listeners who feel that the only centres for dub were studios such as King Tubby's, Lee Perry's Black Ark, Channel One, or Joe Gibbs's. The tracks on this compilation are taken from this period in the 1970s when dub was the cutting-edge of Jamaican music studio production. Most of them are the dub-version flip-sides of rare Jamaican 45s, and none have appeared on CD before. Michael E. Veal, author of Dub: Soundscapes and Shattered Songs in Jamaican Reggae (Wesleyan University Press, 2007).LP1

Fever Dream180 Gram Vinyl In A Wide Spine Gatefold Package

I am proud to announce that my new solo album Fever Dream - the follow-up to Hendra - will be released globally on my label Unmade Road through Caroline International.
Fever Dream was self-produced at London's famous RAK Studio 2, and mastered by the legendary Bob Ludwig in Maine. We kept Hendra's sonic template of open-tuned folk-jazz and distorted string-bent rock, and went for a new grainy intensity. Bernard Butler joins me again. Bruno Ellingham engineered and mixed. We just did most of it live. Small room, small band. A harder edge. Instruments spilling into each other. Martin Ditcham on drums. New recruit Rex Horan on double bass. And I've sprinkled guest vocal cameos from Boston's dream-folk singer-songwriter Marissa Nadler and Hiss Golden Messenger's M.C. Taylor.

Live In Paris & TorontoAvailable on vinyl for the first time, Live In Paris And Toronto is a concert recording captured on 1998's The Book Of Secrets Tour and originally released on CD in 1999. This deluxe limited edition set features a three LP 180-gram vinyl set in a gatefold sleeve.
Captured live in April and May of 1998 in the Salle Pleyel in Paris and Massey Hall in Toronto, this three LP set is, says Loreena, simply 'the sound of us doing what we did.' Featuring performances of all of the songs from The Book Of Secrets as well as a generous selection of favorites from previous recordings, Live In Paris And Toronto was originally conceived as a charitable effort in support of The Cook-Rees Memorial Fund For Water Search And Safety. Its proceeds have now raised millions of dollars for the Fund's work in the fields of water safety and education. Recognizing the growing public appetite for the sound only vinyl can deliver, this release is the 13th high-end audiophile reproduction from McKennitt s musical catalog.LP 1
