    One More From The Road

Released in 1976, It marked the band's first live album, and the only live album from the classic era of the band (1970-1977) prior to the plane crash. It was enthusiastically embraced, entering the Top 10 (it would become one of their best-selling albums, as well). It's easy to see why it was welcomed, since this album demonstrates what a phenomenal catalog of songs Skynyrd accumulated.

    Make The Road By Walking

The Menahan Street Band is a collaboration of musicians from Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, El Michels Affair, Antibalas and the Budos Band, brought together by musician/producer Thomas Brenneck (Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Budos Band, Amy Winehouse) to record hits in the bedroom of his Menahan St. apartment in Bushwick, Brooklyn. With influences reaching beyond the funk/soul/afrobeat architecture of their own projects with the more ethereal realms of Curtis Mayfield and Mulatu Astatke, the Menahan Street Band creates a unique new instrumental soul sound that is as raw as it is lush.

Tales from the Realm of the Queen of Pentacles

One of music's most acclaimed singer/songwriters, Suzanne Vega, has crafted a stunning new collection of songs showcasing her trademark wit and poetic writing, which will be released this winter. Vega's first new studio album in seven years, 'Tales from the Realm of the Queen of Pentacles,' coming out on her own Amanuensis Productions on Feb. 18, 2014,features ten new songs each telling a story that has to do with the material world, the spirit world and how they intersect. "A lot of my older albums, especially the second one, was about being solitary," says Suzanne Vega. "This album has more of a sense of connectivity, there is a different spirit."

Vega spent the past few year writing and performing these new gems on the road, recording portions in Chicago, London, Prague, LA and New York City, and Kyserike Station, an old train station in upstate New York. The album was produced by noted guitarist/producer Gerry Leonard, David Bowie's musical director for over a decade and with whom Vega has worked since 2000, and features her longtime bass player Mike Visceglia and drummer Doug Yowell. Tracking for the album took place mostly at the Clubhouse Studios in Rhinebeck, and was mixed by Kevin Killen, who has worked with Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush.

'Tales from the Realm taps into Vega's broad range of musical tastes, intertwining Dylan/Stones-inspired guitar-driven songs such as "I Never Wear White" to lush orchestral strings and trumpet flourishes on "There is a Road" to soul-packed background vocals and Vega's masterful classic folk elements.

A longtime fan of hip hop as well, Vega samples the 50 Cent hit song "Candy Shop" for one of the more atmospheric tracks on the album, "Don't Uncork What You Can't Contain." This is Suzanne's first sampling effort - although her song "Tom's Diner" has been interpolated countless times in the hip-hop community, she has not sampled anyone else until this album.

For the first time on a studio recording, Suzanne has also assembled an illustrious group of musicians to accompany her including: Gail Ann Dorsey and Zachary Alford (David Bowie) on bass and drums for several tracks-a happy reunion as Suzanne and Zachary attended the same elementary school back in the 70's in New York City; bass player Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel) on "I Never Wear White" and "Don't Uncork What You Can't Contain;" drummer Jay Bellerose (T-Bone Burnett); acoustic "wizard" Larry Campbell (Bob Dylan) who plays banjo, mandolin, and cymbal throughout the album; Sterling Campbell (David Bowie, B52s) on drums for "Don't Uncork What You Can't Contain" and "Laying on of Hands;" Alison Balsom, the virtuoso principal trumpet for the London Chamber Orchestra who is featured on "Road Beyond This One (Horizon) for Vaclav Havel" and background vocals from powerhouse singer Catherine Russell, known for her work with David Bowie and Paul Simon, among others. Lastly, the strings were recorded in the Czech Republic with the Smikov Chamber Orchestra.

    One Kiss Ends It All

In their decade-plus existence, Saturday Looks Good To Me has never taken a typical path: endless line-up changes, shifts in sound from lo-fi 60's pop to experimental noise rock, a twisting discography heavy on one-off singles and bizarre package tours with afrobeat and freakfolk bands.

In 2012, bandleader and songwriter Fred Thomas returned with a fresh new line-up, including new vocalists Carol Catherine and Amber Fellows, but also with old friends from previous SLGTM incarnations like bassist Scott DeRoche and drummer Ryan Howard showing up for the fun.

The band's fifth proper album, One Kiss Ends It All, came together following the group's first tour after getting back in action, however the four years since their last full-length weren't spent cultivating this new batch of songs.

Instead, a spontaneous and breezy vibe flows through the album's 12 selections, drawing on the reference points of 60's pop and early indie rock, all filtered through the band's skewed pop lens.

Thomas' songs are always bittersweet, but short, uptempo rockers like Invisible Friend and Break In recall the open-hearted running melodicism of New Zealand kiwi-pop while more groove-oriented numbers like Polar Bear or Sunglasses meld electronic elements with the same sharp-edged attitude of the first Strokes album.

Even former SLGTM lead vocalist Betty Barnes (who now lives in Sweden) sings lead on two tracks: the doo-wop piano lament of Negative Space and the spare indie rock road trip The Ever-present New Times Condition.

Saturday Looks Good To Me's albums in the early 2000's (All Your Summer Songs, Every Night) predicted the reverb-saturated production and girl-group revisitations that indie rock would embrace several years down the road.

One Kiss Ends It All expands on those early lo-fi marvels and feels more like a revelation than a continuance.

With more sophisticated arrangements and melodies more direct and engaging than anything the band has ever done, the album feels like re-telling the details of a dream minutes after waking. Something new colliding with something that shouldn't make sense in a beautifully strange collage. And always more details hidden in the corners.

    Studio One Dub Volume 2

Studio One Dub 2 is a second collection bringing together some of the finest dubs from the legendary Studio One Records, Kingston, Jamaica. Dub music was the creation of a generation of brilliant recording studio engineers in Jamaica. But although Clement Coxsone Dodd's Studio One is hailed as the greatest of the Jamaican recording labels, and although many talented engineers worked the board at Dodd's Brentford Road studio over the years (including Sylvan Morris, Syd Bucknor, Overton Scientist Brown and Dodd himself), Studio One was never typically known as a centre for dub. This is because for many fans the studio's commercial and stylistic heyday was in the 1960s, prior to the rise of dub as a distinct sub-genre of Jamaican music in the 1970s. By the 1970s, however, dub music was the rage in Jamaica's sound systems. Always the pioneer - and since Sylvan Morris had left the Studio One operation around 1972 - Coxsone supervised the dubs till leaving Jamaica at the end of the decade. This meant that for the most part, for example, the twelve Studio One dub albums released during the 1970s were mixed by Dodd himself, using the moniker Dub Specialist. Throughout the decade, the mixes became more sophisticated and atmospheric. Along with the first volume of Studio One Dub, the cuts here demonstrate that Studio One's contribution to the innovative musical form of dub was substantial, and go straight to the head of listeners who feel that the only centres for dub were studios such as King Tubby's, Lee Perry's Black Ark, Channel One, or Joe Gibbs's. The tracks on this compilation are taken from this period in the 1970s when dub was the cutting-edge of Jamaican music studio production. Most of them are the dub-version flip-sides of rare Jamaican 45s, and none have appeared on CD before. Michael E. Veal, author of Dub: Soundscapes and Shattered Songs in Jamaican Reggae (Wesleyan University Press, 2007).

    Meet The Supremes

The debut album by Diana Ross' Supremes originally came out in late 1962, right after Motown's boss Berry Gordy signed them and changed their name (the group was previously referred to as 'The Primettes') and immediately before Barbara Martin left the band (which cost her being cut from the legendary 3 on the barstools cover, and the loss of any royalties from the album). Mainly a collection of their early singles, Meet The Supremes features pure soul gems like I Want A Guy, Buttered Popcorn, (He's) Seventeen and many more little classics recorded by this quartet of seventeen year-olds who, although still far from the international star status they would soon achieve, helped pave the road to the definition of the classic Motown Sound. Seven Turns

Seven Turns is the ninth studio album by the Allman Brothers Band, released in 1990. Their first studio album since Brothers of the Road in 1981, it was well-received, and peaked at #53. Hit singles were Good Clean Fun (#1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks); Seven Turns (#12) and It Ain't Over Yet (#26).

This is the Allman Brothers Band's comeback album, and their best Blues-based outing since Idlewild South that restored a lot of their reputation. With Tom Dowd running the session, and the group free to make the music they wanted to, they ended up producing this bold, rock-hard album, made up mostly of songs by Dickey Betts (with contributions by new keyboardman Johnny Neel and lead guitarist Warren Haynes), almost every one of them a winner.

Apart from the rippling opening number, Good Clean Fun, which he co-authored, Gregg Allman's contribution is limited to singing and the organ, but the band seem more confident than ever, ripping through numbers like Low Down Dirty Mean, Shine It On, and Let Me Ride like they were inventing blues-rock here, and the Ornette Coleman-inspired True Gravity is their best instrumental since Jessica.

POISONED ALTARS is the sophomore LP from heavy metal titans LORD DYING. Recorded in the spring of 2014 by Joel Grind of Toxic Holocaust, POISONED ALTARS is the work of a band who spent the past 18 months grinding it out on the road touring relentlessly with the likes of Red Fang, Black Tusk and more. Phosphorescent Harvest

The CHRIS ROBINSON BROTHERHOOD unveil their third studio album PHOSPHORESCENT HARVEST via Silver Arrow Records. The band--Chris Robinson (lead vocals, guitar), Neal Casal (guitar, vocals), Adam MacDougall (keys, vocals), George Sluppick (drums) and Mark Dutton (bass, vocals)--will also hit the road in conjunction with the album's release.

PHOSPHORESCENT HARVEST is a treasure trove of 10 songs--including several the band road-tested over the last few years--that advances the band's kaleidoscopic sound, which is deeply soulful, rootsy and spacey all at once. There's strong songcraft here, with a free-flowing delivery; it is music that is in no hurry to reach its destination but firmly knows where it is going. From the beginning, the CRB set out to do something different from what they had done before, creating their own scene with a musical prowess, cohesive songwriting and a unified commitment to experimentation, both in the studio and on the road (they've performed over 230 shows since forming in 2011).

The best perspective I have on what's going on in my life--good and bad--is what comes out in the songs, says Chris Robinson. As you move on in time, you get older, you have relationships. Some of them are good, some fail. Friends. Drugs. Life. Death. People come, people go. Songwriting is a completely different emotional response to your life and to what it means, to in some poetic nature, put it out there.

PHOSPHORESCENT HARVEST follows the release of the companion albums Big Moon Ritual (June 2012) and The Magic Door (September 2012) plus last year's live quadruple vinyl Betty's S.F. Blends, Vol 1. The group continues to record with producer Thom Monahan, and Robinson wrote all of the songs with Casal, save for two that are Robinson solo compositions (Tornado, Jump The Turnstiles).

We're really going by the electricity and the vibrations that we can sort of tune in to, Robinson recently told Relix magazine (Jan/Feb '14). There's a psychedelic component to it. That's part of the greasing the wheels of the great cosmic engine, with psychedelic thought and philosophy and action. If you get my drift. He went on to talk about the more rock and roll feel on PHOSPHORESCENT HARVEST, and his overall vision for the Brotherhood: I'm not going to have hit records. I don't write pop songs. But then again, I find a deep need to express myself and how I'm feeling and where I am and where I've been and where I'm going by writing songs. Why change something to make it easier for anyone else, when I think if we stay sincere and keep our energies in a real creative place, then people will wander into our small community, and it maybe would get more popular to tend that garden is a great responsibility. But I want it to grow. Check out the whole Relix feature here.

Rolling Stone editor David Fricke picked the CHRIS ROBINSON BROTHERHOOD as one of his favorites of 2012, and praised their live performance in New York City, saying the singer's acid-country Brotherhood, with ex-Ryan Adams guitarist Neal Casal, were a sublime time onstage and across these two albums, recorded at the same sessions and issued six months apart. The Irving Plaza show was a characteristic live high. In the second set, Robinson steered out of a rattling 'Tough Mama,' from Bob Dylan's Planet Waves, into the long reverie 'Girl on the Mountain,' a song from an earlier side trip, New Earth Mud, given fresh air and a new coat of DayGlo paint (1/30/13).

Midnight Oil is more than just a rock & roll band. From their beginnings as an inner city punk group gigging around Australian pubs in the late 70's they grew into one of Australia s most successful international rock bands in the '80s and '90s. All Hope Is Gone

All Hope Is Gone is Slipknots first #1 album and it has brought the group to new heights. The band headlined the inaugural Mayhem festival, embarked on their most successful world tour yet, including a stop at the legendary Madison Square Garden and had two top 10 singles. 2009 is the bands 10th anniversary and is poised to be one of the most exciting of their career.

The fourth release from the hard rock machine from Des Moines, IA, is more of a statement than a record. Corey Taylor comments, Every album we have made is a statement about that space in time. I think this era is the most mature, most beautiful and the most powerful. We have made an album that will show the road behind, the road ahead, and where we are as men. I think it's the best thing I've ever made. And I challenge anyone to prove me wrong. The album blends elements of 2004's Vol 3: (The Subliminal Verses) and 2001's Iowa, while adding a perspective, freshness and depth that only three years apart can bring. All Hope Is Gone was recorded this in Slipknot's home state and is co-produced by the band and Dave Fortman.

    End Is Forever

Following up their breakthrough 1999 release Blue Skies, Broken Hearts...Next 12 Exits, Kris Roe and his band, the Ataris, offered up the dynamic, dangerously non-punk End Is Forever in early 2001. Along with singer/guitarist Roe, Chris Knapp (drums), Marco Pena (guitars), and bassist Mike Davenport wind their way through an expanse of post-grunge alternative and emocore more musical than anything the Ataris had previously released. Listeners familiar with the group's earlier recordings probably won't be too surprised by End Is Forever as Roe's quickly developing, gifted writing had always been the outfit's defining factor, making the transition away from punk's noisier elements predestined. Purists already dismissive of the entire emo genre will be mortified by Roe's polished heart-tugging trilogy Giving Up on Love, Summer Wind Was Always Our Song, and I.O.U. One Galaxy that opens the disc. Things degenerate further for credibility-obsessed punk fans when Roe and Co. kick out some old-fashioned big rock on tracks like Road Signs and Rock Songs. Listeners anxious about the Ataris unavoidable flight to the punk genre suburbs won't have to read between any lines to figure where the band was heading when they produced this 2001 release. After End Is Forever, all that remained to be seen is just how far the quartet's undeniable mainstream appeal would take them.

    United Nations

Originally released in 2008, United Nations' eponymous debut
album was destined for commercial controversy from the
moment it was announced. The anticipation surrounding its
release was at a fever pitch as rumors circulated that the
enigmatic band's all-star lineup included members of Thursday,
Glassjaw, and Converge. When the album finally dropped, its
lawsuit-baiting artwork - essentially the originally cover of The
Beatles' Abbey Road album, with all of the Beatles engulfed in
flames - immediately forced at least one major mall retail chain
(rhymes with Not Tropic) to destroy all of the several thousands
of copies it had ordered. The album's entire pressing was then
recalled, destroyed, and repackaged with artwork presumably
less offensive to Sir Paul and Co. The vinyl has been out of print
ever since, and that original artwork has become more myth
    than material.

United Nations has been remastered for this special deluxe vinyl
edition, and includes an infinite bonus track. The original
banned artwork has been restored to its litigious glory, now
expanded to include the previously unreleased panels to
complete the original triptych - all printed on a massive 12x36
full-color foldout poster. Not content to merely flirt with fire, we
have housed this infamous, inflammatory artwork inside a
custom embossed, numbered old-style gatefold jacket that is
curiously reminiscent of the original Beatles' White Album
    jacket.

Each album is stamped with a sequential number, in a limited
edition of however many it takes for United Nations to get sued.

Test of Time's members are no strangers to the punk scene, from frontman and photographer Todd Pollock to guitarist/vocalist and record label proprietor Charles Chaussinand to bassist and ex-Energy/Daytrader road dog Robert Cheeseman (the band also features Beartrap's Mike Assatly on guitars/vocals and Jeff Novak on drums). After unleashing a prolific amount of material considering their formation two short years ago, including one self-released 10-song demo (2012's Inclusion), two EPs (2013's The Price and the more recent A Place Beyond) and several cover singles, the band has crafted a proper full-length debut of speedy, howled youth crew hardcore à la Youth of Today, Bane and In My Eyes. By Design is guided by the careful, detail-oriented approach of architectural planning (as hinted at by its visual motif), and uses that focus to deliver unexpected shifts in tempo dynamic, musically and lyrically sly references to hardcore's past, and sincere decrees pertaining to vegetarianism, The Straight Edge, perseverance, and one's own personal growth and change.

Mastered from the Original Tapes at Abbey Road by Guy Massey and Co.: Same Team Responsible for Superb Beatles Reissues

Audiophile-Grade Gatefold-Packaged 180g 2LP Set Includes Seven Rare and Previously Unreleased Tracks, Download of Entire Record

Macca's 1970 Solo Debut Stands As One of Most Acclaimed Debuts in Music History

McCartney Personally Supervised the Reissue: McCartney II Also Available on 180g 2LP

Originally released in 1970 and instantly heralded as one of the most beloved solo debuts of all time, McCartney announced to the world that Paul McCartney was more than ready for a career outside of the Beatles. Hitting #1 on the charts, the record yielded the timeless tracks Every Night and That Would Be Something along with the immortal classic Maybe I'm Amazed.

Recorded at the multi-instrumentalist's home studio, McCartney performed nearly every note himself and also handled production duties. While Macca handles the standard bass, drums, guitar, piano and organ, he also works xylophone, Mellotron, and organ into the mix. The material here is a blend of white soul, hummable pop, and lightly rocking numbers that succeed via their modest charm and ageless melodies. He also calls on then-wife Linda McCartney to supply background vocals.

Part of the icon's ongoing Archive Collection, McCartney has been remastered at Abbey Road from the original master tapes by the same engineering team responsible for the internationally acclaimed Beatles reissues. We assure you that this 1970 masterwork has never sounded better, and the gatefold packaging looks stunning. In addition, McCartney has unlocked the vault and supplied seven rare and previously unreleased tracks to add to the album's overall enjoyment and context. Not surprisingly, Macca himself oversaw the entire reissue.

Pop fans and music connoisseurs, this is what is deemed essential. Grab McCartney and its natural bookend McCartney II on audiophile vinyl and immerse yourself in the sounds of the artist who's the mot successful musician and composer in history.

Prolific and always evolving, never wanting to be left standing still Siouxsie & The Banshees' Tinderbox is the seventh studio album in no more than eight years almost ten years since they took to the stage at the 100 club for 20 minutes of improvised chaos. The single 'Cities In Dust' widely regarded as one of Sioux's greatest vocal performances and quickly followed by 'Cannons' the albums finest track chimes perfectly with the times as the 80s started to spiral out of control. Desperate Souls of Tortured Times

Welcome to the Taurean Empire; a decaying land where disease, war and corruption is rife. A wretched place of man and beast, where deception, fear and despair fills every dank alleyway and the stench of suffering drifts across endless, sun-scorched plains. As way of ensuring safe passage through this hellish hour, let us introduce your guides for the journey; four road-hardened mortals, brought together by luck, power and coincidence. Ladies and Gentlemen, take up arms and go safely as Age of Taurus show you a world inhabited by the Desperate Souls of Tortured Times....UK based Age of Taurus make no frills Doom-laden heavy metal, with an emphasis on HEAVY. Produced by Jaime Gomez Arellano (Angel Witch, Hexvessel, Ghost), 'Desperate Souls of Tortured Times' is a 42 minute collection of material written during their transition over the past three years. It's an unashamedly heavy voyage down a road less travelled, where each of the seven songs acts as a chapter from an altogether longer tale. Monstrous, mountain-shaking riffs are order of the day in the Empire, stepping aside only for Riddell's searing leads to take hold, whilst the lock-tight Bruce/Claydon rhythm section underpins all. Heading the charge from centre stage, Wright's lyrics act as a vivid narrative, painting pictures of ancient ritual and sprawling landscapes, somewhat reminiscent of Manilla Road and Brocas Helm in their prime. Some might assume that DSOTT is a concept album, however in reality, Age of Taurus is more like a 'concept band', intent on delivering undiluted and intriguing heavy metal to all that will listen.

Voices In A Rented Room (Discontinued)

Sometimes it's best to see the world in black and white. Shades of grey are for p**s, right-and NEW BUMS have ridden the hard road all the way to this, their album debut. They've played around and they've hit the singles scene (haven't you turned up "Slim Volume"? 7EP of the year, man!), but Voices in a Rented Room tells their whole life story and probably more of yours than you'd care to admit. The voices are two, spinning harmonies both heavenly and salt-pickled. Picking their direction and floating along on a pair of acoustics, New Bums are the sound of old drunk America, dancing out of the shadows, coming forth again to stand in the light, in the hopes of repopulating those sad old single-occupancy hotels before they're all torn down. New Bums is the grudging match-up of DONVAN QUINN (SKYGREEN LEOPARDS) and BEN CHASNY (SIX ORGANS OF ADMITTANCE, COMETS ON FIRE, 200 YEARS, RANGDA). They didn't like each other at first, but now make sweet and sour music together over the light of the magical Sterno (if there's anything left in the can, that is!). The ideas go back and forth between Ben and Donovan in what seems to be a true partnership. Their songs are all that: songs, with lyrics set in a space to speak to the human buried in you. People's music, with all the stark confessions, tall tales, bleak humors and punch lines that the people can bear. Behind the acoustics and voices is lots of space, but there are a few extra instruments that come and go and tinge the scrim as the boys move from stately processional to streetcorner sing-around to bluesy weeper to low-rolling rock n roll and back again, with slide-guitar lines erupting in the dark night air and classical-tinged filigrees curling around the tarnished and rusting edges throughout.

    The Wild

Late in 2016, the trio of Nils Edenloff, Paul Banwatt, and Robin Hatch hit the road for a unique set of shows in some of their favorite venues across North America and Europe. They had been hard at work writing their next album and wanted to work out the new material the way they love best: by bringing it to their fans in person. As Nils put it, "I've never been good about focusing on a theme or having a specific plan at the outset of a new record. For me, writing music tends to be more of a constantly evolving process, like following one strange trail after another until a song has come to its general conclusion. This time around, we're following that natural writing process more and inviting the fans to come along those trails with us." Over the ensuing months, they took the lessons of the road into the studio, laying ten new tracks to tape. Earlier this year, fans had their first chance to hear the results with the release of singles "White Lights" and "Beacon Hill." Now, the full fruit of their efforts can be found on The Wild, which will be released via Saddle Creek and Paper Bag. The Rural Alberta Advantage's percussive folk songs about hometowns and heartbreak, and relentless tradition of touring have taken the trio from humble recognition amongst indie rock die-hards as Canada's best unsigned band to sold-out tours and devoted fans around the world with featured coverage from Spin Magazine, Pitchfork, The New York Times and Rolling Stone all taking note. The band has been nominated for two 2012 Juno Awards (Best New Group and Video of the Year for their song "Stamp"), long listed for the 2011 Polaris Award, and awarded the CBC Music Prize for Best Independent Artist in 2014.
