Pale CommunionPALE COMMUNION, which was produced by the band's very own Mikael Åkerfeldt and mixed by longtime collaborator and Porcupine Tree frontman/guitarist Steven Wilson, is heralded by the lead single, "Cusp of Eternity."
The new material find's Opeth once again challenging the boundaries of extreme music. In a recent interview with VICE's Noisey, Akerfeldt stated, "I wanted to do something more melodic with this album there's stronger vocal melodies and more melodies overall I was pretty consistent with that frame of mind throughout the writing process." Recently, Metal Injection's Greg Kennelty broke down Opeth's PALE COMMUNION in a track by track review, exclaiming "This record knows exactly what it's doing and nails it through and through one of my favorite records of 2014. If not my favorite record of 2014."
PALE COMMUNION follows 2011's critically acclaimed HERITAGE which proved a milestone album for Opeth, earning them widespread acclaim and an ever-growing fan following. Debuting Top 20 on the Billboard 200 and racking up numerous 'Best Of' accolades in 2011, HERITAGE landed at #2 on both Decibel's "Top 40 Albums of 2011" and Guitar World's "Top 50 Albums of 2011" lists.LP 1

Ghost ReveriesAs hard to believe as it appears there are still exceptions to the rule out there. For the past 15 years OPETH have managed to tread their very own path through a scene full of wannabes and traditionalists without ever heeding metal laws or fashion trends. Death metal was trasnformed into a melting pot in the hands of OPETH who added goth, 70s-prog-rock, folk and even elements of jazz with great skill transcending each genre in turn.
After their sonic double assault that was Deliverance and Damnation - one heavy to the point of bursting, the latter ballad-oriented - no-one thought it possible that OPETH would be able to cap it all off with Ghost Reveries. They did so with ease. Ghost Reveries is positively brimming with grand emotions, brutal riffs, spherical guitars, acoustic breaks, epic keyboards, rocking organs, enchanting solos and vocals reaching from downright evil to heart-breakingly beautiful. You can detect MORBID ANGEL just as well as PINK FLOYD, KING CRIMSON and NICK DRAKE.

Blackwater Park (Bonus Track)Import
Generally hailed as OPETH' opus magnum, Blackwater Park (2001) has proven to be a transitional album for the band. While its earlier albums bring extreme and epic metal, later albums are leaning heavily towards mid-seventies progressive rock. Blackwater Park brings you the best of both, with tons of huge metal riffing, pre-metal proggy hooks and dark lyrical topics. In this new direction, OPETH sounds remarkably fresh and convincing on each lengthy track, fully exploring and captivating. No less today than at the the time of the original release!
Accompanying the 2010 Legacy Edition of the album, Music on Vinyl will issue the album as an Expanded Audiophile Edition at the end of April. Filled to the rim and handled with the utmost care, we present:

Passion For Vinyl (Book)240-Page Book With 7 Vinyl Single
7 Vinyl Single: Rinus'Garage Feat. Triggerfinger - The Wall Of Dolls / Admiral Sir Cloudesley Shovell - Electric Fogg
This book is a tribute to vinyl, a format that is making a spectacular comeback recently, although for many music lovers it never really disappeared.
Brazilian superstar Ed Motta came to Holland to buy an apartment, but spent all his money on vinyl instead. When a young Mikael Åkerfeldt of Opeth discovered a scratch on his recently bought Bathory LP he demolished his bedroom. It's Atlantic's CEO Craig Kallman mission to own all relevant albums on vinyl. He has 750.000 already. That's what vinyl does with music lovers.
In Passion For Vinyl a wide selection of DJ's, musicians, label owners, designers, record dealers, collectors and engineers like Henry Rollins, Bernie Grundman, Hans Pokora, Chris Ellis, Steffi, Mala, Vaughan Oliver, Lee Dorrian, Jacco Gardner, John Dyer Baizley and many others share their unconditional love for vinyl. They muse about the first record that changed their lives, talk about their prized collectibles and explain why they were determined to keep vinyl alive. Passion for Vinyl also tells the history of Record Industry, the Dutch factory that has been pressing vinyl since the 1950's.
Passion For Vinyl is written by Dutch author, music journalist and incurable vinyl fanatic Robert
Haagsma. With an introduction by American vinyl guru Michael Fremer.

HamartiaFormed in 1989, this release marks the band's 28th anniversary year and is a sonic testament to their legacy as one of the earliest U.S. dark & doom metal bands still active today.
Considered by the band to be their best work to date, Harmartia's mastery is due in part to the synergy of its lineup, who constituted their previous album Bled White: Paul Kuhr (founder/vocalist), Larry Roberts (guitars), Vito Marchese (guitars), Mike Feldman (bass), and Garry Naples (drums).
Recorded at Belle City Sound in Racine, WI, this album sees production from long-time Novembers Doom producer Chris Djuricic (Jungle Rot, Malevolence), and Mix Master metal legend Dan Swano (Opeth, Dissection, Katatonia).1. Devils Light

Norwegian Grammy-nominated cult band return with their magnum opus. Extols self titled album is a like a complex metallic alloy. The playfulness of the songs and the brutal bonding of genres are transformed into a fusion of atmospheric and harmonic prog rock, merged with the tempered thrash and death metal that Extol so uniquely master.
This album leads us straight to the core of Extol. Drummer David Husvik comments: ""Extol" is the album that was planned all the way, but never materialized. Partly due to changes in the line up, but also because of the band´s urge to always reach for something new.
The album is the recap of 20 years of Extolhistory, both musically and lyrically." Storm Corrosion (Awaiting Repress)Import
Storm Corrosion is the long-discussed and highly anticipated collaboration between two of the modern progressive rock scene's most innovative and multi-talented artists: Porcupine Tree's Steven Wilson and Mikael Åkerfeldt of Opeth. The pair will release their self-titled debut album via Roadrunner Records.
The sound of Storm Corrosion can best be described as enchanting, orchestral, ambient, epic (half the album's tracks clock in around the 10-minute mark) and nothing short of surprising to the new ear. However, the musicians' respective fanbases will be primed to appreciate the new output, with Wilson's recent solo album, Grace for Drowning, and Opeth's Heritage having brought them to a logical place to understand Storm Corrosion. This eponymous collection is almost viewed as one side of a musical triangle.
Says Wilson, "If you'd asked me three months ago about the music, I would have said, 'Expect the last thing you would expect.' But actually, now that Heritage and Grace for Drowning have come out, I don't think it's going to be that much of a shock to people, because it's almost like a third part of the trilogy, in a way. If anything, it's even more orchestral, even more stripped down, even more dark, twisted and melancholic, but it certainly feels like it comes from the same place as Heritage and Grace for Drowning, which indeed it does because it was written during the same period."
"Some of the music on this record I think is the most beautiful music I have participated in ever," adds Åkerfeldt. "There's some magical sections on there. Musically I think we've created something earthy, a bit frightening, exhausting, profound and rather intense. All at the same time. I can safely say I don't know any other band or artist that sounds anything like Storm Corrosion. I guess that was also one of our goals, so to speak."1. Drag Ropes

ElddopSweden's d-beat crust gods, MARTYRDÖD, return with their second full-length for Southern Lord. Once again they entered the infamous Studio Fredman (At The Gates, Amon Amarth, Opeth) to record their new full-length, entitled Elddop the crushing follow-up to 2012's Paranoia LP.

Rites Of SeparationThe name of Gothenburg-based quintet AGRIMONIA will reverberate through the masses throughout the coming months as their third LP, and first for Southern Lord, is subject to be released onto the masses at the end of April.
Having signed with Southern Lord mid-2012, AGRIMONIA bunkered into the studio over the turn of the year to record their label debut Rites Of Separation, the final product then mixed by mastermind Fredrik Nordstrom at infamous Studio Fredman (At The Gates, Opeth, Arch Enemy). With just seconds short of a full hour of material harnessed, the completed recordings boast the most mammoth and varied sounds in the band's already diversified and expansive sound, their bustling slow-motion post-rock builds displayed with the most epic refinement. Paranoia (Awaiting Repress)Swedish crustpunk horde Martyrdöd are among the newest crop of heavy, brutal, metallic crust-influenced bands to join the Southern Lord cult.
In a scene overabundant with clones of the founding/front running acts of the genre, Martyrdöd manage to remain heavily unique in their filth-ridden approach. While undeniably influenced by acts like Anticimex, Bathory, and TotalitÄr, the band intertwines their crust roots with sinister, haunting soundscapes and unique blackened riff attacks.
Paranoia was recorded at the infamous Studio Fredman (At The Gates, Amon Amarth, Opeth) by Fredrik Nordström in the dead of a chilling Swedish winter! Includes Original 2015 Enslaved Roadburn Poster
Roadburn Live is Enslaved's first official live album, a split release between Roadburn Records and By Norse Music. Enslaved is a band widely known for being one of the best live bands in the scene. The album was recorded during one of band's headline shows at the renown Roadburn Festival 2015; an edition curated by Enslaved's guitar player Ivar Bjørnson. The album features a brilliant layout created by highly demanded artist and Roadburn's regular graphic designer Costin Chioreanu.
The album was mixed by Iver Sandøy at Solslottet Studio, mastered by Jens Bogren (Kreator, Opeth, Sepultura) in Fascination Studios. It is also the last official release with Herbrand Larsen on keys and vocals.
After celebrating 25 years in 2016 showcasing a majority of older material, Roadburn Live displays songs mainly from the newer and more progressive part of Enslaved's career, with songs from "In Times", "Riitiir", "Isa", "Below the Lights" and "Monumension". The album features the guest appearances of Einar Selvik (Wardruna), Aðalbjörn Tryggvason (Sólstafir), Per Wiberg (Opeth, Candlemass); and Menno Gootjes (Focus) on Immigrant Song, the first cover song by Enslaved to ever appear on a record.
Grutle Kjellson comments on the album: I'm generally not a huge fan of live albums, I like to be present at a show, to grasp the energy of the band and to witness the, sometimes, magical symbiosis that occurs between the band and the audience. I am, however, a huge fan of the Roadburn Festival! I consider this to be my all time favorite, both as a musician and as a guest.
