Vinyl Cut By Matt Colton At Alchemy Mastering, Mastered By Tony Cousins At Metropolis And Overseen By Peter's Main Sound Engineer Richard Chappell

Produced by Steve Lillywhite this third album saw Peter change his writing style; now the rhythm came before the melody and the songs were built up on top of the rhythmic sequences. The album delivered a top 5 UK single in Games Without Frontiers and Peter's first overtly political song in the shape of totemic closer Biko. It also features notable contributions from Kate Bush, Paul Weller, Phil Collins and David Rhodes. Half-Speed Remastered and cut to lacquers at 33RPM, on heavyweight LP. Having left Genesis in the summer of 1976, Peter's first solo album arrived in February 1977. He was 26. Take A Look At Me Now: Collector's Edition (Box Set)

Phil Collins Take A Look At Me Now Retrospective Reissue Campaign release

Entirely curated and compiled by Collins himself, this idea for the Take A Look At Me Now concept is to examine how his songs have evolved over time, with the majority of the additional content throughout the series focused on live versions of the tracks. By contrasting the original studio versions of the material with later performances, the series demonstrates how Collins' songs take on a life of their own once they're freed from the confines of the studio. Vinyl boxed which compiles 180gm vinyl editions of both Face Value and Both Sides together.

    Something's Going On

'Something's Going On' is the third solo album by Swedish singer Anni-Frid Lyngstad, one of the founding members of the Swedish pop group ABBA, & her first album recorded entirely in English. Produced by Phil Collins, the album featured a harder-edged & more rock-oriented sound than that of ABBA's music. The album was met with a positive reception by both critics & the public, with sales in excess of 1.5 million copies, making it the best-selling solo record of any of the ABBA members to date.

    Underslept

    Limited Edition

Systems Officer is the solo guise of Armistead Burwell Smith IV, the prolific multi-instrumentalist songwriter and founding member of Pinback and Three Mile Pilot. Written and recorded between breaks in the rigorous Pinback recording and touring schedule, Underslept is five years in the making, a concise collection of thoughtful, complex pop songs.

Written, produced and performed by Smith in his home studio, Underslept features the same kind of intricate arrangements and layered vocal harmonies that have become a trademark of Pinback, with nods to the dramatic tone that marks the best Three Mile Pilot songs.

Underslept gives Smith, already one of rocks most innovative and influential bass players, the opportunity to place his often understated gifts as a singer and songwriter front and center, drawing influence from The Police, Peter Gabriel-era Genesis and The Beach Boys to craft thoughtful, progressive pop with spiky hooks and impressively high replay value.

    Slave Ambient

Philadelphias The War on Drugs, the vehicle of Adam Granduciel, frontman, rambler, shaman, pied piper guitarist and apparent arranger-extraordinaire, returns with Slave Ambient. On their debut, the life-affirming Wagonwheel Blues, and the follow-up EP, Future Weather, The War on Drugs seemed obsessed with disparate ideas, with building uncompromised rock monuments from pieces that may have seemed like odd pairs. Folk-rock marathons come damaged by drum machines. Electronic and instrumental reprises precede songs theyve yet to play, and Dr. Seuss becomes lyrical motivation for bold futuristic visions. Now, Granduciel has done it again, better than before: Slave Ambient, their proper second album, is a brilliant 47-minute sprawl of rock n roll, conceptualized with a sense of adventure and captured with seasons of bravado.

Slave Ambient features a team of Philadelphias finest musicians, including multi-instrumentalists Dave Hartley and Robbie Bennett, and drummer Mike Zanghi. Recorded throughout the last four years at Granduciels home studio in Philly, Jeff Zieglers Uniform Recording and Echo Mountain in Asheville, NC, the album puts the weirdest influences in just the right places. Synthesizers fall where you might expect more electric guitars (and vice versa); country-rock sidles up to the warped extravagance of 80s pop.

Instant classic Baby Missiles is part Spingsteen fever dream, part motorik anthem. Original Slave might sound like a hillbilly power drone, but City Reprise #12 suggests Phil Collins un-retiring to back Harmonia. I Was There is Harvest rebuilt by some selection of psychedelic all-stars, while the shuffling, sleepy opener Best Night offers a band with too many ideas to be in a hurry. During the mid-album centerpiece Come to the City, Granduciel howls and moans, All roads lead to me/I've been moving/Ive been drifting. Indeed, however unlikely that might seem, all these sounds arrive cohesively in one unmistakable place. Every song on Slave Ambient is instantly identifiable and infinitely intricate, a latticework of ideas and energies building into mile-high rock anthems.

    Fuego

Fuego, Phish's first studio album in nearly five years, will be released by JEMP/ATO Records.

Phish recorded the album with legendary producer Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Lou Reed, Peter Gabriel)
last fall, as the band's 30th anniversary approached. The songs for Fuego took shape during a series of visits to Phish's longtime creative hub, The Barn,
a rustic, reconstructed barn-turned-rehearsal/recording studio located outside Burlington, Vermont. There they explored dozens of ideas, which led to a
notable shift in the band's songwriting approach. While Fuego includes tracks that individual members brought to the table in usual Phish fashion, the bulk
of the material was written by all four, working together at The Barn.

    iFi Audio SPDIF iPurifier

Have a question about this product? Please email our audio advisor or call 1-877-929-8729 with any questions or concerns regarding your equipment purchase.

The SPDIF iPurifier is partly a nod to past SPDIF devices including the Genesis Digital Lense. With the very latest AMR/iFI technology, it is suited to the gamut of SPDIF sources that are on the market today. It takes any barely recognisable 'square wave' and with REclock/REgenerate the signal is back to a real-world, perfect wave form.

From Apple TV to Google Chromecast to PS4/Xbox to 4K Smart TVs, SPDIF is the main digital audio output. As with all mainstream products, the critical SPDIF signal transmitted is of fairly low quality. The SPDIF iPurifier runs the SPDIF signal through 4 comprehensive stages, and the result is a fully-restored, perfect SPDIF with jitter eliminated. The result is sound quality that has greater warmth, resolution and dynamic contrast.

Restoring the Waveform and eliminates all jitter

The signal from SPDIF devices is a digital signal. The industry standard for looking at the quality of a digital signal is to look at the 'square wave' (on an oscilloscope).

But the wave is anything but 'square', resembling more of a jagged wave. By running through the four major stages of the SPDIF iPurifier, the Waveform is back to ideal.

    Bit-Perfect audio on all fronts

AMR/iFi prides itself in assuring Bit-Perfect signal transfer. This means the signal remains original and unchanged. The SPDIF iPurifier ensures a Bit-Perfect transfer which is highly unusual for SPDIF devices. It can handle 44.1 / 48 / 88.2 / 96 / 176.4 / 192kHz; 16 to 24 Bit, DSD/DoP, and even Dolby Digital and DTS.
The SPDIF iPurifier has co-axial/optical input AND co-axial/optical output. It works with just about any and every SPDIF product from mass market Apple TV to an audiophile transport > DAC.

    Galvanic isolation

The SPDIF iPurifier has no peer. One of the key aspects is that it has galvanic isolation which uncommon. It was however found in the original Digital Lense which retailed at US$1,800 in 1996.

Galvanic isolation is converting a signal from one form to another which will discard spurious noise. This is a major factor behind the SPDIF iPurifier's ability to stop noise contaminating the signal.

Global Master Timing® + Memory Buffer

AMR's Global Master Timing (GMT)/ Memory Buffer System represents a total 'out of the box' systematic digital solution that solves the digital SPDIF jitter issue once and for all. The Intelligent Memory System holds a large number of complete audio samples, so it may completely absorb a large amount of variation (jitter and drift) in the incoming signal, while still sending out data at a fixed and precise clock rate, regardless of variations in the incoming clock.

Central to the GMT clock system is an ultra-low jitter, quartz-driven clock system (<300 femto second crystal) capable of producing millions of different frequencies with a precision of better than 0.001Hz. Hence, if the frequency shifts from 192,000.002Hz to 192,000.003Hz over a period of minutes (drift) which is the minimum to be meaningful, the GMT clock will intelligently and precisely track the change. This is a core technology of the SPDIF iPurifier.

    iPower 'quieter than battery' technology

As the SPDIF iPurifier is powered by 5V, it is essential that it is fed by silent power supply. Hence each and every SPDIF iPurifier is shipped with its own iPower (5V). With a noise floor that of 1uV, the iPower is a breed of near silent DC-power supply. Low power consumption and low-noise.

    Packed to the brim

With a Bill of Materials (BOM) that stands at 53 individual components, be assured that beneath its unassuming exterior, there are two separate PCBs, each mil-spec'd and packed to the brim with advanced technology.

    - AMERICAN SONGWRITER

Erik Hall worked patiently and solitarily for four years to craft Driver, his sophomore album as In Tall
Buildings. Produced between his home studio in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago and a 60's
farmhouse in Leelanau County, Michigan, the album comes twenty years after Hall originally fell in
love with home recording at age 13 - the year he got his hands on his first multitrack recorder.
Raised in downtown Chicago, Hall played drums and guitar in high school rock bands, and then went
on to study percussion and audio engineering at the University of Michigan. While in college he joined
the avant afro-funk band NOMO and met His Name is Alive's Warn Defever, who produced many of the
band's albums. Under Defever's tutelage, Hall honed many of the recording and production techniques
he would later apply to his solo recordings. As he explains, I was the guy in the band badgering him
with questions throughout the sessions, trying to learn everything I could and then trying it out
myself at home. As a multi-instrumentalist and producer Hall eventually went on to record and tour
with several groups, including old friends His Name is Alive and, more recently, dream-pop duo Wild
Belle, performing the rhythm section tracks and lending an engineering hand to their Columbia
    Records debut.

In 2010 Hall's home recording efforts yielded the first In Tall Buildings album, which The Huffington
Post called gorgeous indie-pop, and the Chicago Tribune found hypnotic. In an interview with the
Chicago Tribune, he summed up much of his philosophy about composition with a pair of conflicting
quotes he attributes to Allen Ginsberg and Kurt Vonnegut, respectively: First thought, best thought
and Edit yourself, mercilessly. Loosely guided by these principles, Hall set out once again to
assemble a new batch of songs, when he wasn't recording and touring with other bands.

In stark contrast to the dense polyrhythms echoed by NOMO's albums, Driver uses a relatively simple
palette to create spacious pop songs, leaving plenty of room for Hall's often Peter Gabriel-esque
vocals to shine. The music, though culled from every guitar, keyboard, and drum he managed to fit
into his home studio, is powerful in it's restrained simplicity, and it's a compelling foil to the haunting
gravity of his vocal performance. Never rushed, his melodies deliver elliptical lyrics that manage to
feel intimate, while retaining a sense of mystery. Ultimately, the album's melancholic vibe is relatable,
rather than moping or histrionic, and in the end these songs are incredibly comforting and inviting.

    Wind & Wuthering

Wind & Wuthering is the eighth studio album from the English rock band Genesis, released in December 1976 on Charisma Records. The album's title derives from two pieces: The Wind comes from The House of the Four Winds, the title of one piece Hackett wrote that became the bridge on Eleventh Earl of Mar; the Wuthering alludes to the novel Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë.

    Pagan Day

Official Reissue Of The 1984 Classic

Legendary Conceptual Audiovisual Group Formed By Throbbing Gristle Co-Founder Genesis P-Orridge & Alternative TV's Alex Fergusson

Collection Of Early Demos And Sketches By P-Orridge & Fergusson

Vinyl Has Been Out Of Print Since 1986

    Includes The Bonus Track "Farewell"

Shortly before Christmas 1984, the core songwriters, Genesis P-Orridge and Alex Fergusson, of underground arts collective Psychic TV, quietly released a limited edition record containing sketches and ideas for songs. Some songs would become later fully-realized arrangements, some abandoned and others were justcovered in praise of their creator. The record, in recognition of its seasonal release, was simply titled A Pagan Day and would capture the intimate songwriting sessions that were prevalent during a crucial time in the band's career.

In classic Psychic TV fashion, rumors and myths surround the album's creation. Most have suggested that it was recorded in a single session over a cup of coffee on a lone 4-track cassette recorder above an old YMCA building in London, though later revealed that the recordings were from various sessions over the course of a couple years prior to the record's release. After quickly pressing the songs to vinyl, the record was originally only available through Rough Trade fora few hours on December 23, 1984, and pressed on picture discs, which adorned a photo of P-Orridge's first born, Caresse, in exactly 999 copies. The pressing sold out immediately that day which caused Temple Records, their "in-house label", to later release a standard reissue version in 1986.

What makes the songs, or rather versions of songs, so unique is the primitive and fragile nature of the arrangements while the flimsy, immediate vocal delivery makes the album sit unknowingly between demo and fully realized album."Baby's Gone Away" and "New Sexuality" are just a couple examples of songs tha tfans of Psychic TV became intimately familiar with from live experiences, buton A Pagan Day, they are released in their infantile stages with no full band, just Alex & Genesis finding their way through the songs with an acoustic guitar, drum machine and organ. "Cold Steel" shows a true peek behind the curtain, sung effortlessly by Fergusson and would then later become the classic standard "The Orchids." Most notable is the band's cover of Pearls Before Swine's "Translucent Carriages" of which P-Orridge accords special praise to Tom Rapp, the song's original author and icon to both P-Orridge and Fergusson.
